        Voice assistance (VA) has been widely adopted in the tourism and hospitality industry to interact and communicate with tourists and provide useful travel recommendations. Although more companies in tourism have adopted environmental sustainability practices and tourists have increased their sustainability awareness, lack of research has been conducted to investigate the effectiveness of VA in promoting sustainable consumption of tourism products or services. This study proposes that customising environmental sustainability messages for tourists with different cultural orientations and VA use purposes can enhance their engagement with the VA, which can affect their consumption decision. The results from a scenario-based experiment demonstrate that tourists with interdependent/independent cultural orientation have higher engagement with the environmental sustainability messages communicated by the VA when they are with a non-transactional/transactional purpose. Implications for tourism marketing strategies are discussed.

        Consumers visiting platforms that host user-generated content (UGC) not only consume content but also generate content by investing time and effort. This paper seeks to examine a UGC platform's content provision strategy: how a UGC platform can motivate consumers to generate UGC and how it can manage the balance between UGC and platform's own content. As UGC and the platform's own content perform the same function, one may be inclined to think that the two types of content are substitutes. Our analysis shows that they could function as strategic complements. This is because increasing the platform's own content provision raises the quality of content on the platform, motivates more consumers to join the platform, and increases the total UGC provision on the platform. The fact that consumers dislike advertising could lead us to believe that consumers will be less motivated to generate UGC if ad space increases. On the contrary, we find that consumers may be motivated to increase UGC provision to make up for the loss in enjoyment and increase the overall quality of contents on the platform. The public good characteristics of UGC could prompt us to think that UGC provision on the platform will be less than the socially optimal level. Our analysis identifies conditions when the total provision of UGC can be more than the social optimum. One may wonder whether it is profitable for a UGC platform to completely dispense with its own content. We find that it is always profitable for the UGC platform to offer some of its own content. This is because when consumers spend more time consuming the content, the platform can monetize their attention and earn higher ad revenue.

        While there is an increasing number of studies highlighting the power of videos in influencing audience attitudes and behavior, academic research in tourism is largely behind due to the methodological challenges of analyzing unstructured video data. This study adopts an automatic video analytics approach to examine the relationship between content features of pro-environmental videos and audience engagement in tourism. Artificial intelligence was used to extract video content features by detecting scenes and shots as well as labels (e.g., trees). Our findings suggest that there exists an inverted U-shape relationship between video informativeness and audience engagement. This study makes significant theoretical and methodological contributions to extant tourism literature by theoretically explaining and empirically testing how video content features influence audience engagement in pro-environmental video communications in tourism.

This is what B2B lead nurturing is about as the objective of lead nurturing is to provide the audience with relevant and valuable content which leads to an increased brand interest and awareness, with the goal of bringing in new customers (Marketo, 2023). To better understand how prospects and leads react to digital content, companies can build lead scoring into a strategic tool for the salespeople to qualify the prospective customers down to a list of leads, meaning prospects who are considered the most likely to convert to a positive business outcome and to be contacted in person by the salespeople (Järvinen & Taiminen 2016; Paschen et al. 2020).

Results reveal insight behaviours and classify corporate-generated content typologies, reflecting the motivation stages of older consumers to engage with the online community.

        In the wake of the global pandemic of obesity of the young generation in Europe, with varying prevalence depending on culture and television advertising consumption, the role of marketing communications in the process needs to be re-addressed. Hence, the manner in which the food and beverages are promoted to children in various geographical settings becomes crucial concern for not only parents and teachers, but also society as the whole, represented majorly by regulatory bodies. Previous research within the theme of the correlation between TV advertising and youth obesity have focused on the reaction of children and parents to the advertisements targeting children, mostly disregarding the actual content of the ads, the level of their influence on children and specific context in which this interaction occurs.

        As one of the biggest service-oriented industries worldwide, the hotel industry significantly contributes to environmental degradation in several ways. Service marketers, consumers, and policy makers are increasingly aware of the damage that excessive natural resources depletion in the guise of water and energy consumption and CO2 emissions by hotels might bring about to the planet. As a result of the growing global concern about climate change, there has been an increase in consumer demand for environmentally-responsible hospitality options. One such option is green hotels, which are environmentally-conscious hospitality properties that are gaining popularity worldwide at a rapid pace. Consumers who prioritize eco-friendliness are willing to pay a premium for green hotels. However, unlike tangible products, services such as hotel experiences are subjective, emotional, and therefore, difficult to evaluate before actual usage. One of the prominent ways in which consumers assess green hotels’ credibility is through user generated content in the form of reviews.

        Selective doping of pyridinic nitrogen in carbon materials has attracted attention due to its significant properties for various applications such as catalysts and electrodes. However, selective doping of pyridinic nitrogen together with controlling skeletal structure is challenging in the absence of catalysts. In this work, four precursors including four fused aromatic rings and pyridinic nitrogen were simply carbonized in the absence of catalysts in order to attain mass synthesis at low cost and a high percentage of pyridinic nitrogen in carbon materials with controlled edges. Among four precursors, dibenzo[f,h] quinoline (DQ) showed an extremely high percentage of pyridinic nitrogen (96 and 86%) after heat treatment at 923 and 973 K, respectively. Experimental spectroscopic analyses combined with calculated spectroscopic analyses using density functional theory calculations unveiled that the C-H next to the pyridinic nitrogen in DQ generated gulf edge structures with controlled pyridinic nitrogen after carbonization. By comparing the reactivities among the four precursors, three main factors required for maintaining the pyridinic nitrogen in carbon materials with controlled edges, such as (1) high thermal stability of the pyridinic nitrogen, (2) the presence of one pyridinic nitrogen in one ring, and (3) the formation of gulf edges including pyridinic nitrogen to protect the pyridinic nitrogen by the C-H groups on the gulf edges, were revealed.

        채소는 여러 건강상의 이점을 주는 식이섬유를 다량 함 유하고 있다. 채소는 국내에서 다양한 형태로 섭취되고 있 으며, 특히 생으로 먹거나 나물의 형태로 가장 많이 섭취 되고 있다. 나물은 여러 조리 방법이 있는데, 가장 흔한 방법은 데치고 무치는 형식이다. 한국에서 나물로 흔히 섭 취되는 국내산 참나물, 깻잎, 곰취, 우엉, 마늘쫑을 데친 후, 데친 채소와 생 채소를 한국 식품공전에 따라서 식이 섬유와 유리당을 분석하고 비교하였다. 참나물, 우엉뿌리 와 깻잎은 데친 후에 총 식이섬유가 감소하였으나, 곰취 와 마늘쫑은 각각 6.09±0.49에서 6.43±0.01 g/100 g 과 4.52±0.35 에서 5.09±0.04 g/100 g으로 증가하였다. 유리당 분석 결과, 깻잎을 제외한 채소들에서 sucrose, glucose와 fructose가 검출되었으며, 깻잎은 sucrose가 검출되지 않았 다. 분석한 채소들 중에서 sucrose 함량이 가장 높은 채소 는 우엉 뿌리 (1.71±0.07 g/100 g) 였으며, glucose와 fructose는 각각 1.65±0.02 와1.73±0.02 g/100 g로 마늘쫑 이 가장 높게 나타났다. 채소를 데친 후, 곰취 (0.10±0.01 에서 0.14±0.01 g/100 g)와 마늘쫑 (0.76±0.00 에서0.83±0.01 g /100 g)에 함유된 sucrose를 제외한 다른 유리당 함량은 전 부 감소하였다. 이 연구를 통해 채소를 데치면 채소에 함 유된 유리당과 식이섬유의 함량이 증가하거나 감소할 수 있다는 것을 나타낼 수 있다. 또한, 이러한 영양 정보를 통해 소비자들에게 어떠한 조리 상태의 채소를 섭취할지 선택할 때에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

        The influence of MgO addition on the densification and microstructure of alumina (Al2O3) was studied. Compacted alumina specimens were manufactured using ball-milling and one-directional pressing followed by sintering at temperatures below 1700oC. Relative density, shrinkage, hardness, and microstructure were investigated using analytical tools such as FE-SEM, EDS, and XRD. When the MgO was added up to 5.0 wt% and sintered at 1500oC and 1600oC, the relative density exhibited an average value of 97% or more at both temperatures. The maximum density of 99.2% was with the addition of 0.5 wt% MgO at 1500oC. Meanwhile, the specimens showed significantly lower density values when sintered at 1400oC than at 1500oC and 1600oC owing to the relatively low sintering temperature. The hardness and shrinkage data also showed a similar trend in the change in density, implying that the addition of approximately 0.5 wt% MgO can promote the densification of Al2O3. Studying the microstructure confirmed the uniformity of the sintered alumina. These results can be used as basic compositional data for the development of MgOcontaining alumina as high-dielectric insulators.

        지구과학 II 및 한국지리 교과서는 ‘한반도의 지질’과 관련된 내용을 공통적으로 중요하게 다루고 있다. 이 연구 는 지구과학 II 및 한국지리 교과서에 제시된 ‘한반도의 지질’ 관련 내용의 차이를 분석하고, 차이가 있다면 최신 과학 지식과의 일치 여부를 비교하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 2015 개정 교육과정에서 발간된 교과서 7종(지구과학 II 4종, 한국지리 3종)을 분석 대상으로 선정하고, 한반도의 지체구조, 지질 연대 자료 및 지질시대별 지질학적 특성의 설명 텍 스트에 대한 차이를 비교하였다. 분석 결과, 한반도의 지체구조와 관련된 용어, 명칭, 분포 범위에서 교과서 간에 불일 치 사례가 발견되었다. 한반도의 지질 연대 자료도 불일치 사례를 보였는데, 한국지리 교과서의 경우 오래된 자료를 인 용하여 최신 과학 지식과의 차이를 보였다. 또한, ‘한반도의 암석 분포’, ‘평안누층군의 특징’, ‘고생대의 대결층’에 대한 설명 텍스트에서 불일치 사례가 발견되었다. 지구과학 및 지리 교과는 중복되는 내용 요소가 많기 때문에 교과 간의 내용 차이를 최소화하는 노력이 필요하며, 이를 위해서는 최신의 과학 지식을 반영한 적절한 내용을 선정하여 교과에 관계없이 일관성 있게 제시하는 것이 중요하다.

        PURPOSES : The process of extracting and recovering an asphalt binder from an asphalt mixture is harmful to the human body and can affect the properties of the asphalt binder owing to the presence of residual solvent quantities. This study was conducted to determine the properties of aged asphalt binders based on rejuvenator content without extracting and recovering the asphalt binders using RAP mortar. METHODS : After extracting and recovering aged binders from waste asphalt, a rejuvenator was added at a certain rate to evaluate the physical and rheological properties of the binder based on the added amount. RESULTS : When the rejuvenator content was greater than necessary, the absolute viscosity was not properly measured owing to the behavior of the rejuvenator. The phase angle was measured to be almost 90°, thus indicating that it acted as a liquid . In addition, the shear strain and nonrecovery compliance also increased significantly. CONCLUSIONS : If an excess rejuvenator quantity was added to the aged binder, the absolute viscosity was not properly measured, the phase angle was measured to be almost 90°, and the shear strain increased significantly. It is also necessary to conduct the same tests on different types of RAPs to ensure that the results of this study are reasonable.

        PURPOSES : The purpose of this study was to improve the performance of concrete pavements by measuring the unit-water content with an Internet-of-Things (IoT)-based unit-water content measurement device at an increased precision compared with that of existing measuring equipment. METHODS : We calculated the properties of concrete that varied according to variations in the unit-water content. To confirm the change in the performance of concrete pavements, we compared and analyzed the fatigue cracking rate and international roughness index of concrete pavements at the 20-year point of public use according to the changes in properties using the Korea Pavement Research Program(KPRP). RESULTS : We confirmed that IoT-based measurement equipment can improve the performance of pavements without changing their mixing designs or specifications. We confirmed that the performance of the concrete pavements changed significantly, even with unit-water content variations within the range of quality standards. According to IoT-based unit-water content management, we confirmed that the performance of the concrete pavement (fatigue cracking rate and international roughness index) improved without changing the mixing design. CONCLUSIONS : We confirmed that by using IoT-based unit-water content management, pavement performance can be improved. It is necessary to consider whether the application of this concept to other concrete property management items, such as the chloride content, is possible. Considering the changes in concrete properties according to the unit-water content based on laboratory tests and considerations of various load conditions will be necessary for future research.

        In order to investigate the optimal UVB (ultraviolet B) treatment conditions for vitamin D2 enhancement of freeze-dried ear mushroom, sample size (below 300 μm~whole), UV treatment temperature (30~60℃), treatment density (6.25~50.0 mg/cm2) and the samples mixing frequency (1~32 times) were treated differently. After that, chromaticity, vitamin D2 and ergosterol (vitamin D2 precursor) contents were investigated. As a result of the investigating, effective UVB treatment conditions for vitamin D2 enhancement are as follows. The sample sizes were 2~4 mm and finely crushed pieces. The treatment temperatures were 50℃ and 60℃. The treatment density was 12.5 to 25.0 mg/cm2, and the number of sample mixing was 8 times or more. As the amount of vitamin D2 increased by UVB treatment, the ergosterol content generally tended to decrease. However, under some UVB treatment conditions, the vitamin D2 content was not high despite the decrease of ergosterol content. Under the conditions set in this experiment, it was possible to obtain ear mushrooms with enhanced vitamin D2 up to 26,968.7 μg/100 g. Therefore, it is thought that the ear mushroom is highly likely to be used as a vitamin D source and nutritionally fortified food ingredient.

        This study summarizes the research methods, subjects, research processes, and achievements of major researchers by analyzing previous research results on Korean food history. The goal of the current study aimed to seek the methodology and direction of ‘food history research’. Literature data from 1945 to 2022 were examined. Results of excavation research on ancient food literature were divided into the following stages: the 1980s, when the foundation for ‘cataloging’ was laid, and the 2000s, when ‘digitization’ was achieved. Achievements of each period were collected, and the achievements and limitations were analyzed. Next, the research results were classified into ‘Food technology history’, ‘Recipe change history’, and ‘Food culture and dietary history’. We observed that around the 2000s, anthropology and folklore research perspectives were reflected, and the research on ‘history of diet’ reached a turning point. Our results indicate the possibility that food history can develop as a special historical area. This could be achieved by establishing an exchange system with other disciplines and creating a systematic curriculum.

        본 연구는 칼랑코에(Kalanchoe blossfeldiana) ‘Discodip’ 의 출하 후 토양수분이 분화품질 및 수명에 미치는 형태적·생리적 영향을 알아보고자 수행되었다. 분화 토양수분 처리는 고습(80% 이상)과 저습(40% 이하)으로 하였고, 분화수명, 분 화수명 종료 증상과 형태적 요인인 지상부와 지하부 생체중 및 건물중, 개화된 꽃 수, 출하 시 대비 개화율을 조사하였고, 생리적 요인은 잎의 엽록소함량 및 엽록소형광(Fv/Fm), 기공크 기 변화율을 분석하였다. 분화수명은 토양 고습 처리구(28.3 일)가 토양 저습 처리구(27.4일)보다 0.9일 높았으나 유의차 는 없었다. 분화수명 종료시점인 출하 4주 후 지하부 생체중 과 건물중, 개화된 꽃 수, 출하 대비 개화율은 토양 고습 처리 구에서 저습 처리구보다 높았다. 잎의 엽록소함량 및 엽록소 형광, 기공크기 변화율은 출하 4주 후 토양 고습 처리구에서 저습 처리구보다 수치적으로 높았으나 유의차는 없었다. 따라 서 출하 후 토양 수분에 따라 분화 칼랑코에의 품질이 시간이 경과될수록 차이가 났으며, 토양수분이 칼랑코에의 분화 품질 에 미치는 중요한 요인이라는 것을 알 수 있었다.
