This paper is a follow up to the previous study which reveals that smartphone users are divided into three subcategories according to their usage characteristics. In this paper, these groups are called as ‘general’, ‘entertainment’, and ‘work-assistant’, taking into account their respective characteristics. The ‘general’ is a group whose smartphone usage characteristics are not focused on a specific purpose, the ‘entertainment’ is focused on music, internet, SNS, picture, and e-banking, and the ‘work-assistant’ is on work, GPS, diary. Inter-relation between the importance and satisfaction for the purchase determinants to the groups is investigated. In addition, Kano analysis of quality attributes is also performed, which includes quality type, satisfaction/dissatisfaction index, and PCSI (Potential Customer Satisfaction Improvement) index. The analysis result are as follows. Firstly, inter-relation between importance and satisfaction differs by user group. ‘Internet’, ‘Ease of use’, and ‘Performance’ purchase determinants are evaluated as competitive determinants in ‘work-assistant’ user group. Secondly Kano quality types of quality characteristics also differs by user group. ‘Application’ was classified as an attractive (A) types to ‘entertainment’ group and so on. ‘Internet’ ‘Failure/Bug’, ‘Touch response rate’ and ‘Charging’ are located in ‘Nice’ Region of S-PCSI Diagram and have to be considered as strategic quality characteristics. The results of this study is expected to give some helps in establishing a customer tailored quality strategy.
목적 : 본 연구의 목적은 안경사들의 Big5 성격특성이 직무탈진, 고객지향성, 직무성과에 미치는 영향을 알아 보고 그 관계를 파악하여 실무적 시사점을 제시하는데 있다. 방법 : 본 연구에서는 Big5 성격특성과 직무탈진, 고객지향성, 직무성과에 관한 선행연구들을 검토한 후, 선행 연구들의 주장과 연구결과에 근거하여 변수들 간의 관계에 관한 3개의 가설을 설정하였다. 실증분석에 필요한 자 료는 광주·전남지역에 위치한 안경점에 근무하고 있는 안경사들(n=260)을 대상으로 설문을 통해 수집하였으며, 측정변수의 타당도와 신뢰도를 확인한 후 변수들간 관계를 검증하기 위해 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결과 : 실증분석 결과, Big5 성격특성의 하위변수인 성실성은 직무탈진에 부(-)의 영향을, 신경증은 직무탈진 에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 안경사들의 직무탈진은 고객지향성과 직무성과에 부(-)의 영향 을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 : 본 연구에서는 안경사들의 Big5 성격특성을 파악한 연구가 상대적으로 부족한 상황이다. 그럼에도 본 연구에서는 변수들의 관계를 알아보고 고객접점에서 근무하는 안경사들의 이직률 감소를 위한 효율적인 전략을 제 시하고자 하였다. 또한 결론에서 실무적인 시사점을 제시하였다.
This study explore the market segmentation based on beer consumers’ purchase motivation 1) to analyze beer consumers and markets more closely and 2) to demonstrate the characteristics of each market segment and contribute to marketing strategies with beer consumer segment. Using -administrated questionnaires asked questions recognizable beer purchase within 6 months by over 20-years-olds, this study 201 surveys online 22 days. The results as follows: beer consumers’ purchase motivation consisted of three factors enhancement, social orientation, and value enhancement. Cluster analysis based on beer purchase showed that there were three groups motivation multi-motivation and motivation group based on average value of beer purchase motive factors and relative load per factor. demographic,beer drinking characteristics and group difference according to cluster gender and monthly average income, and beer drinking characteristics also significantly different by preferred beer, preferred beer type, occasion and drinking place.
The quality of customer service has been one of the most representative determinants of retailers’ sustainable competitiveness. Since Parasuraman et al. (1988) introduced the service quality instrument, called SERVQUAL, many studies have used SERVQUAL to measure service quality in various domains. However, since SERVQUAL was originally developed to measure general service quality, it didn’t fully consider the underlying characteristics of a specific industry such as retailing. Recently, as retail industry is becoming more competitive, there is a general agreement that the most important retailing strategy for creating competitive advantage is the delivery of high service quality.
From the retail manager’s perspective, the level of service quality is highly correlated with the level of customer loyalty and the customer’s favorable word-of-mouth behavior. In this sense, most retail managers would be very interested in the question of how to increase their customer loyalty rate and, therefore, to elaborate this question in more detail, service quality study in a retail setting would be very important. Current measures of service quality, including SERVQUAL, do not adequately capture customers’ perceptions of service quality for retail stores such as department stores or general discount stores. The main objective of this study is to investigate the usefulness and applicability of the different methods, including SERVQUAL, in measuring the service quality of retail environment and their relationships to customer loyalty and word-of-mouth behavior. By exploring the suitability of each different measurement method for retail service quality, this study enhances the understanding of the major dimensions of retail service quality and the analysis of the effect of service quality on customer loyalty and word-of-mouth behavior.
Quality management system is a systematic quality improvement approach for firm-wide management for the purpose of improving performance in terms of quality, productivity, organizational characteristics, customer satisfaction, and firm’s profitability. Recently, many researchers have examined the relationship between quality management system and firm’s performance. The conclusion from these studies is that effective implementation of quality management system improves firm’s performance. This paper extends the existing research on quality management system and firm’s performance by examining how the impact of quality management system on firm’s performance is moderated by organizational characteristics and customer satisfaction. The paper is organized as follows. Section 1 introduces the necessity and purpose of the research. Section 2 reviews quality management system and summarizes the results of previous studies. Section 3 present the proposed research model, the hypotheses related to the relationship between quality management system and firm’s performance. Section 4 provides results from the data analysis. Section 5 presents discussions, results, further implications, and research limitations. An extensive literature research was designed to identify and retrieve empirical studies relevent to develop the hypotheses. The objectives of this study identify the factors of quality management system on business performance. The results are as follows: First, The management responsibility, resource management and product realization influenced significantly on financial performance. The management responsibility and product realization influenced significantly on non-financial performance. Second, the research showed a fact that organizational characteristics and customer satisfaction effect as a moderated between quality management system and business performance. The implications of our results are that organizational characteristics and customer satisfaction moderate the firm’s performance.
With the diffusion of smart-phones and mobile equipment, as well as the emergence of consumption patterns like showrooming and reverse showrooming, not only online shopping, but also offline stores are becoming important. For this reason, a multichannel which simultaneously runs both offline and online channels is getting the spotlight. A multichannel means a series of activities related to selling goods and services to consumers via more than one channel (Levy & Weitz, 2011).
To adapt to this change of the retail environment, the Dongdaemun market, the source of Korean mass fashion, is introducing a multichannel to manage online and offline channels together. ‘Style Nanda’, based on Dongdaemun, is a representative branding case. Having starting with an online shopping mall, ‘Style Nanda’ is now running offline stores and is planning to enter overseas markets. Another example is that of Roompacker which has grown up from an offline store in the Dongdaemun Doota Shopping Mall launched in 2005 and is now emerging as the online and offline powerful actor in the market. As mentioned above, Dongdaemun fashion market-based brands are competitive when they have a multichannel to simultaneously run offline channels, online, and mobile channels.
The existing Dongdaemun fashion market-related research has been limited to the analysis of Dongdaemun market’s structural characteristics or the consumer perception of the shopping conditions (Hong & Lee, 2007; Choi & Choo, 2005). Also, most multi-channel studies have focused on the consumer perceptions depending on the channel characteristics; therefore, the studies that measured consumer responses depending on the brand characteristics are very scarce. With the change in the retail environment and the increase in the necessity of revitalizing Dongdaemun commercial districts, a study on the multi-channel properties of the Dongdaemun brands would provide many useful implications.
In this context, this research aims to analyze the characteristics of the Dongdaemun market, which is offline-optimized, as well as the utilities and attributes of multichannel shopping services of Dongdaemun fashion brands. Our second aim is to provide implications for marketing. In particular, this research is focused on the effects of these attributes on value equity, relationship equity, and brand equity which are customer equity drivers of Dongdaemun fashion brand consumers. Furthermore, this research explores the effects of customer equity drivers on customer satisfaction and purchase intention. A total of 200 samples were collected to examine the effects on customer equity drivers of Dongdaemun multichannel attributions by consumers in Dongdaemun Fashion Market. The collected data were then analyzed statistically (exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, and descriptive statistics) with SPSS 21.0. Furthermore, AMOS 18.0 was used for confirmatory factor analysis and multiple group analysis.
The results of this research will serve as a foundation for a distribution channel research to measure the characteristics of Dongdaemun and customer equity regarding a multichannel. They will also be practically helpful in establishing a strategy to introduce a multichannel of offline-centered brands.
최근 스마트폰의 보급 확대로 모바일 비즈니스가 활발해지고 있는데, 그 중에서도 모바일 쇼핑의 성장세가 가 장 두드러지고 있다. 모바일 쇼핑이 성장을 지속하기 위해서는 이용자들의 만족도가 중요하기에 본 연구에서는 여기에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 개인성향 변수를 중심으로 분석해 보았다. 이를 위해 한국, 중국, 미국, 일본 4개 국의 모바일 쇼핑 이용자 2000명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 스마트폰지식, 정보공유성향, 프라이버시 염려, 성별, 연령, 국적 등을 독립변수로 한 회귀모형을 구성하여 검증한 결과, 프라이버시 염려를 제외한 모든 변수가 모바일 쇼핑만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 스마트폰 지식과 정보공유성향이 높을 수록, 젊고 여성일수록 모바일 쇼핑만족도가 높게 나타났다. 또한 미국, 일본, 중국, 한국 순으로 모바일 쇼핑 만 족도가 높은 것으로 나왔다. 실증 결과를 토대로 하여 모바일 쇼핑업체는 어떤 소비자를 타겟으로 하여 전략을 펼칠 것인지에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.
These days, thanks to lots of smart devices and advanced communication technologies, consumer’s recognition and relations have been changed. They, beyond relying on information and services which are produced by experts, produce information and knowledge by themselves via SNS or web that they want to know. As consumer’s recognition is changing like this, SNS is evolving into social platform. Therefore, this paper is intended to clarify overall relationship between network characteristics in social platform, knowledge sharing, social capital, social innovation and customer’s value. This paper has clarified influences between variables related to consumer’s behaviors in social platform and the results are summarized as following: First, network characteristics in social platform are found to positively affect knowledge sharing efforts of social platform. Second, knowledge sharing has been found to positively affect social capital and innovation in social platform. However, enjoyment in helping others i.e a sub variable is found to positively affect social capital and innovation through anticipated reciprocal relationships. Third, social capital and innovation in social platform have affected customer value in social platform positively. Consequently, this paper is intended to solve various problems found from overall societies and industries through social innovation and also to advance them. For these purposes, social platform is believed to prompt sharing idea and knowledge based on interactions between users and social relationship. These actions become social capitals resulting in social innovation. Moreover, these would create new businesses and marketing opportunities across various areas in the processes that innovative activities form customer values.
Recently the market of the food waste disposer has increased. Therefore, many companies in the development of food garbage disposer has been increasing interest. In this study, we used QFD (Quality Function Development) to find out the quality factors for the development of the food waste disposer reflecting the consumer needs. HOQ (House Of Quality) showing the correlation between consumer characteristic and engineering characteristic was written by investigating the consumer needs based on the consumer complaints and survey. In addition, we generated the CTQ (Critical To Quality) reflecting the weighting of the importance of the parts. As the research result, the important quality factors for the food garbage disposer were the grinding capability, drying, and odor emission features. The crushing motor associated with grinding and dehydration appeared as the most important quality factors among the parts. Second thing was the fan motor associated with odor. The findings will be able to contribute to the development of the food waste disposer reflecting the consumer needs.
많은 게임 개발자와 마케터들은 고객의 정보 분석과 질적 서비스 제공을 위해 지속적으로 진보하는 다양한 인터넷기술을 이용하고 있다. 하지만 일반적으로 활용되는 인터넷 고객분석 기술로서는 웹 페이지나 커뮤니티 활동으로부터 의 단편적인 게이머의 정보만을 얻을 수 있을 뿐이다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 구체적이고 객관적인 게이머의 감성을 표현 할 수 있는 방안으로 게임성에 대한 체계적 이해를 위하여 형용사 시소리스를 이용함으로써 감성적 표현을 플레이어의 의도에 따라 정확하게 나타낼 수 있도록 형용사의 의미적 상관관계를 분석할 수 있는 모델을 제시하여 실제로 게이머에 대한 정보를 지속적으로 수집하고 분석할 수 있는 시스템을 구축하여 효과적인 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 고객에 대한 체계적인 관리 모델인 CRM(Customer Relationship Management)을 게임에 적용 하고자 한다.
The objectives of this study were to analyze customer satisfaction by operational characteristics in business & industry foodservice operated by contracted foodservice management company. The instruments were developed by reviewing literatures on customer satisfaction and by intervewing with managers, employers and customers. A total of 1000 questionnaires were hand delivered at the ten contracted foodservice operations by designated coordinators. A total of 833 questionnaires were usable; resulting in an 83.3% response rate. Statistical data analysis was completed using the SAS 6.04 for description, T-test, ANOVA. Overall customer satisfaction score for office building foodservice was significantly higher than those for manufacturing company foodservice. As for the type of management contracts, overall customer satisfaction score for management fee contracts was significantly higher than those for profit and loss contracts. With regard to payment method, overall customer satisfaction score for meal card was higher than those for POS system. Concerning the categories of service, overall customer satisfaction for combo-tray service was higher than those for cafeteria-tray service and partially self-service. As for types of menus, the score of overall customer satisfaction was not significantly different between cafeteria menu and double choice menu.
An attempt was made to provide valuable information to improve service quality and customer satisfaction for in-flight catering service. The customers' demographic characteristics that impact on service quality and customer satisfaction were examined for a group of customer. 474 customers who have been used the airplane within 1 year were participated in this study. Statistical analysis was performed using SAS software program (version 6.01) for descriptive analysis, factor analysis, t-test and ANOVA. The results of the study can be summarized as follows: 1. Service Quality in In-flight catering was assessed on the basis of 18 service quality attributes and 5 dimensions derived from a factor analysis. After comparing customers' perception to customers' expectation regarding in-flight service quality, the quality of dimensions for 'meals', and 'sanitation' were not showed any significant differences. However, the expectation for dimensions of 'diversity of menu', 'providing information', and 'the degree of concern to the customers' were rated significantly higher than the perception for those. 2. Among the demographic variables, age and gender had highly influences on the customers' expectation and perception regarding service quality and customer satisfaction. 3. The korean food that the customers wanted to have for in-flight meals was investigated. Among the kinds of gruel(jook), abalone gruel(jeonbok-jook), pumpkin gruel(hobak-jook), and pine-nut gruel(jat-jook) were chosen to have for in-flight korean meals. It was rated that the preferences for beef soup(sogogikook), hot spicy beef soup(youkgaejang), brown sea-weed soup(miyoukkook) were higher than others in soup group. The preferences for boiled rice with assorted mixture(bibimbab) showed the highest and beef and rice soup(seoleongtang), boiled rice with four the staple cereals(ogogbab) were preferred higher than the others in main dish group. Bulgogi was rated the most popular dish. Korean style punch with omiza(whachae), sweet rice dish(yaksik) and fried glutinous rice cake(gangjeong)showed high preferences in dissert.
Purpose - The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the chatbot's characteristics (ease of use, social presence, playfulness, usefulness) on service value, customer satisfaction and reuse intention when consumers purchased fashion products in the mobile shopping environments.
Research design, data, and methodology – Data were collected from Korean consumers from ages 20 to 59 who have experienced using chatbot in a mobile shopping for fashion products. After a pilot survey to 53 customers, the preliminary questionnaire was revised for the final test, and the final questionnaire was administered to 1500 customers. Out of these, 300 were collected. After deleting 48 incomplete ones, 252 questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. Frequency analysis and exploratory factor analysis using SPSS 23.0 and confirmatory factor analysis and structure equation analysis using AMOS 18.0 were employed for data analyses.
Results - First, four factors were extracted for the chatbot's characteristics: ease of use, social presence, playfulness and usefulness. Second, regarding the effect of chatbot's characteristics on service value when purchasing fashion products in the mobile shopping environment, ease of use, playfulness and usefulness of chatbot significantly affected service value. Social presence did not have significant effects on service value. Third, in terms of the effect of the chatbot's characteristics on customer satisfaction when purchasing fashion products in the mobile shopping environment, social presence, playfulness and usefulness of chatbot significantly had an effect on customer satisfaction. Ease of use did not have a significant effect on customer satisfaction. Fourth, service value of chatbot when purchasing fashion products in mobile shopping environment was found to have an effect on customer satisfaction with chatbot. Fifth, service value of chatbot on reuse intention when purchasing fashion products in the mobile shopping environment was found to have an effect on reuse intention of chatbot. Sixth, customer satisfaction with chatbot had a significant impact on the reuse intention of the chatbot when purchasing fashion products in the mobile shopping environment.
Conclusions - The present study provide dimensions on the chatbot’s characteristics and these may provide helpful data for further studies in this area and for marketers as well.
본 연구는 정기선 해운기업의 고객관계관리의 실제적인 내용을 살펴보고, 이러한 고객관계관리를 촉진시키는 조직의 전반적인 특성들을 고찰하여 조직특성과 고객관계관리와의 관계를 분석하고, 고객관계관리가 조직성과에 미치는 영향에 대하여 실증분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 정기선 해운기업의 고객관계관리에 영향을 미치는 조직특성은 시장지향성과 최고경영자의 지원으로 확인되었으며, 고객관계관리는 종업원만족도, 서비스경쟁력 향상, 재무적 성과, 그리고 고객만족도와 재구매의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 정기선 해운기업의 고객관계관리를 전사적 차원에서 조직문화와 관리체계 등의 조직특성들과 연계되어 시행되어야 한다는 것을 제시하였으며, 이러한 조직특성들을 바탕으로 한 고객관계관리 전략이 정기선 해운기업의 조직성과와 고객차원의 만족도 및 재구매의도의 전반적인 경영성과에 영향을 미치게 된다는 것을 실증함으로써, 정기선 해운기업의 고객관계관리를 해운기업 및 고객 관점에서 종합적으로 조사 분석하였다는데 연구의 의의가 있다고 하겠다.
