        박물관, 기록원 등의 주요 소독약제인 메틸브로마이드(MB)와 Ethylene Oxide(EO)는 오존층 파괴 물질 및 1급 발암물질로 규제가 되고 있어 대체 훈증제 개발이 필요한 실정이다. 따라서, 친환경 약제인 검역훈증제 에틸포메이트 (베이퍼메이트®)의 적용가능성을 확인하고자 주요 해충인 독일바퀴(Blatella germanica) 및 흰개미(Reticulitermes speratus)를 대상으로 Dose response 실험을 실시하였다. 공시충은 팜한농 작물보호연구센터 곤충사육실에서 누대사육중인 개체를 사용하였으며, 데시게이터(6.9L)에 농도별로 24시간동안 밀폐 훈증처리하여 약효를 조사하였다. 통계분석은 Probit analysis 통해 L(Ct) (Lethal Concentration x Time, gꞏhꞏm3)값을 산출하였다. 시험결과 L(Ct)50 및 L(Ct)99 값은 독일바퀴(혼합태)의 경우 48.38 및 346.34 gꞏhꞏm3 흰개미(성충)은 14.91및 660.94 gꞏhꞏm3로 나타났다. 모두 방제가 가능한 L(Ct)99 값은 660.94 gꞏhꞏm3으로 이는 에틸포메이 트 28.2 g/m3(베이퍼메이트® 170 g/m3)를 24시간 처리시 완전 방제가 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

        This study was aimed to evaluate the dose-response the effects of nano-encapsulated conjugated linoleic acids(CLAs) on in vitro ruminal fermentation profiles. A fistulated Holstein cow was used as a donor of rumen fluid. Nano-encapsulated CLAs(LF, 5% of nano-encapsulated CLA-FFA; HF, 10% of nano-encapsulated CLA-FFA; LT, 5% of nano-encapsulated CLA-TG; HT, 10% of nano-encapsulated CLA-TG) were added to the in vitro ruminal fermentation experiment. In the in vitro ruminal incubation test, the total gas production on incubation with nano-encapsulated CLAs was increased significantly according to the incubation time, compared with the control(p<0.05). The tVFA concentrations on addition of LF and HT were significantly higher than that of the control(p<0.05). Thus, nano-encapsulated CLAs might improve the ruminal fermentation characteristics without adverse effects on the incubation process. In addition, the population of Butyrivibrio fibrisolvens which is closely related to ruminal biohydrogenation was increased by adding HT, while decreased by adding LF at 12 h incubation. These results showed that nano-encapsulated CLA-FFA could be applied to enhance CLA levels in ruminants by maintaining the stability of CLA without causing adverse effects on ruminal fermentation profiles considering the optimal dosage.

        본 연구는 정량적 미생물 위해평가(Quantitative microbial risk assessment: QMRA)에 절대적으로 필요하지만 국내의 경우 관련 정보 및 자료가 부족한 주요 식중독 원인 미생물에 대한 용량-반응모델(dose-response models) 관련 자료를 수집·정리하여 가장 적합한 용량-반응 모델을 분석 및 선정하였다. 1980년부터 2012년까지 식중독 발생과 관련이 있는 26종의 세균, 9종의 바이러스, 8종의 원생동물 관련 용량-반응 모델 및 위해평가 자료들을 중심으로 국내 NDSL (National Digital Science Library), 국외 PubMed, ScienceDirect database에서 총 193개의 논문을 추출하여 정리하였다. 조사된 자료로부터 세균별, 바이러스별, 원생 동물별 용량-반응 모델의 미생물 위해평가 활용여부를 확인하고, 위해평가에 활용된 모델들을 메타분석(meta-analysis) 에서 사용되고 있는 Relative frequency (fi, 상대빈도 값) 를 계산하여 가장 적정한 용량-반응 모델을 제시하였다. 주요 식중독 원인 미생물들인 Campylobacter jejuni, pathogenic E. coli O157:H7 (EHEC / EPEC / ETEC), Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Staphylococcus aureus, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Vibrio cholera, Rota virus, Cryptosporidium pavum의 적정 용량-반응 모델 은 beta-poisson (α = 0.15, β = 7.59, fi = 0.72), beta-poisson (α = 0.49, β = 1.81 × 105, fi = 0.67) / beta-poisson (α = 0.22, β = 8.70 × 103, fi = 0.40) / beta-poisson (α = 0.18, β = 8.60 × 107, fi = 0.60), exponential (r = 1.18 × 10−10, fi = 0.14), betapoisson (α = 0.11, β = 6,097, fi = 0.09), beta-poisson (α = 0.21, β = 1,120, fi = 0.15), exponential (r = 7.64 × 10−8, fi = 1.00), beta-poisson (α = 0.17, β = 1.18 × 105, fi = 1.00), betapoisson (α = 0.25, β = 16.2, fi = 0.57), exponential (r = 1.73 × 10−2, fi = 1.00), and exponential (r = 1.73 × 10−2, fi = 0.17) 로 각각 선정하였다. 본 연구에서 제시된 용량-반응 모델 들은 향후 국내 QMRA 관련 연구 및 진행에 많은 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

        Aphids are common pests frequently found in imported and exported fruits and vegetables. Methyl bromide(MB), a Quarantine and Pre Shipment(QPS) fumigant, could offer eradication of aphids within short period. However, MB is limited in use because of poor gas evaporation at low temperature(<5℃) and there is phytotoxic effect or damage on quality in post-harvest vegetables and fruits even at >5℃. Two candidates of MB alternative, ethyl formate(EF) and phosphine(PH3), are used and being investig at edonvarious fruits and vegetables fumigation to replace MB. Aphids are known as quarantine pest that are hard to control when conduct short period fumigation with PH3 and low dosage of EF. In this paper, dose response assessment of EF and PH3 are presented for three different aphid pecies : cotton aphid(Aphisgossypii), green peach aphid(Myzuspersicae) and turnip aphid (Lipaphiserysimi). The LCt99% values of EF at room temp. and low temp. (5℃) were 4.42 and 4.45 g·h·m-3 for cotton aphid, 3.23 and 5.58 g·h·m-3 for turnip aphid, 3.23 and 5.58 g·h·m-3 for green peach aphid when 2-hours fumigation. PH3 showed 0% efficacy on all species when 2-hours fumigation.

        미생물 위해성 평가의 용량-반응 모델은 생물학적 모델과 경험적 모델로 나눌 수 있다. 생물학적 모델은 미생물의 분포형태, 미생물에 대한 숙주의 감수성, 감염을 일으킬 수 있는 미생물 수에 대한 가정을 바탕으로 성립된 모델로서, 대표적으로 Exponential model과 β-Poisson model이 있다. 경험적 모델은 주로 화학물질의 독성을 나타내는데 이용되어 온 모델로, Weibull-Gamma model 등이 있다. 여러 용량-반응 모델 중에서 실험 데이터에 적합한 모델을 선정하는 데에는 deviance function(Y)을 이용하며, 현재 일부 식중독균에 대해서는 사람과 실험동물에서의 용량-반응 모델이 연구되어 있다.

        This study was aimed to observe dose-response effects of squid liver oil enriched in n3 polyunsaturated fatty acids(n-3 PUFA) on the metabolism of streptozotocint(STZ)-induced diabetic rats. In this experiment, 24 STZ-induced diabetic male rats of Sprague Dawley strain were divided into 4 groups and fed for 4 weeks with basal diet(0%). 33%,67% and 100% squid liver oil(SLO) of total fat content, and 6 normal rats were fed with 0% SLO diet at the same time. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Rat group fed with 33% SLO diet showed the least body weight loss and changes in blood glucose, while ones of 100% SLO diet showed the highest level. 2. Serum total protein and ratio of albumin to globulin of all the groups were below the standard level, but did not show significantly different among diet groups. 3. Serum creatinine concentration of all the groups were stayed whthin normal range, but BUN were 3 to 4 times higher than normal rats. BUN concentration of rats fed with 0% and 33% SLO diet was significantly lower than those of others. 4. Total-cholesterol level of serum increased in all the groups except 33% SLO diet, but since HDL-chol, levels and TG concentration went up with an incerase of SLO in the diets, the ratio of HDL-chol. to total-chol, of rats fed with 67% and 100% SLO diet showed higher than those with 0%, and 33% SLO, and TG concentration of rats fed with 67% and 100% SLO diet decreased significantly.

        The responses of soybean seeds were evaluated to accelerated aging and gamma irradiation with regard to germination, seed leakage, seed leachate component and dry weight of hypocotyl and primary root of the germinating seed. Accelerated aging significantly reduced the final germination rate while gamma irradiation increased the final germination rate. Furthermore, the interactive effects occurred that the final germination rate of 5-day aged seeds increased considerably in response to 4 Gy of gamma irradiation. The extent to which the electrolyte was leaked from the seeds (conductivity) was significantly affected by accelerated aging and showed a close negative correlation with the germination rate. Gamma irradiation, however, did not significantly affect the electrical conductivity of seed leachate. The accelerated aging significantly increased the concentrations of the particular electrolytes leaked from the seeds while the gamma irradiation did not affect those concentrations. Of the electrolytes leaked from the seeds, Ca and Mg showed relatively lower concentrations while K showed greater concentrations than others. Moreover, N and P showed similar responses to aging treatment. Aging treatment significantly affected dry weight (DW) of hypocotyls and primary root. Also, gamma irradiation decreased DW of hypocotyls and primary root, particularly for 8 Gy associated with 5 days aging treatment. The data were discussed in terms of the relationships of seed vigor with aging treatment and gamma irradiation.
