        Biodiesel is a traditional energy field that can replace low-quality marine fuels for ships and various studies have been conducted. Since the 2000s, Korea has introduced a mandatory supply system of biodiesel for domestic vehicle diesel, gradually raising the blending ratio from 0.5% to 3.5%, and is expected to raise the mandatory blending ratio to about 8.0% by 2030. Therefore, in this study attempted to blend high-quality samples that meet the biodiesel quality standards manufactured by domestic companies with MGO in ratios ranging from 0 to 60%. We utilized a 1-ton combustion chamber to compare and analyze the exhaust gas emissions characteristics. As a result, in the BD60 condition, which represents the maximum range in this study, the O2 increased by approximately 1.5%p, and CO2 tended to decrease by 1.1%p. NOx decreased by approximately 18.2%p from 34.1 ppm to 27.9 ppm. In the case of SOx, a very low concentration of 0.08 ppm was detected under the BD0 condition, and it was undetectable under all other conditions containing biodiesel. This suggests that MGO itself has excellent low-sulfur oil quality and can implement zero SOx through biodiesel mixing. Furthermore the combustion efficiency decreased by approximately 1.91%, from 72% to 70.2%, and the exhaust gas temperature also decreased by about 4.5%p. However despite the lower calorific value of biodiesel compared to MGO, it demonstrated relatively close thermal output per unit content. This indicates sufficient potential for biodiesel to serve as a viable alternative fuel for ships in the future.

There were studies on the remanufacturing effect of DOC catalyst deactivated by diesel vehicle smoke reduction device, analysis of vehicle fire accident cases caused by damage to diesel vehicle smoke reduction device, and related studies on the remanufacturing effect of diesel vehicle smoke reduction device DPF. This study also developed a burner system in a smoke reduction device suitable for exhaust engines to completely burn smoke generated by institutions using diesel engines in low-temperature exhaust gases. Following the development of the existing high-performance heater, burner structure capable of maintaining ignition state in exhaust flow, pulsation generated by diesel engines, and exhaust flow control unit, the actual configuration, function and effect of the device, development contents, basic data and abnormalities of the vehicle, and comparison with other developed products.

        Recently, Regulations on ships exhaust gas are being strengthened. Nations around the world are trying to various efforts in many aspects to decrease ship emission gas. As part of these efforts, the shipping industry is working towards establishing green system that reduce the emission gas emitted in port. In this study we measured exhaust emission gases such as by fuel change using A-Ra Training Ship in Port. When sailing, we found that was 3.6% to 6.6% higher when using LRFO compared to using MGO, and during departure and arrival, the load changes were significant. As a result, was on average 29.8% higher and was 42% higher during departure, while was on average 19.5% higher and was 17.4% higher during arrival, with almost no difference in the other components.

        Dimethoxymethane, also known as methylal, is an oxygenated additive that contains approximately 42% oxygen content and is soluble in diesel fuel. Experiments were conducted by using the five kinds of blended fuels with different volumetric percentage of DMM in a diesel fuel. The test engine was used four stroke, single cylinder, DI diesel engine. Also, data was collected at 24 kinds of various engine speed-load conditions. The aim of this study was to examine the effects of the addition of oxygenated additive to diesel fuel on the emissions and the performance. Smoke emissions of all DMM blended fuels were reduced substantially in comparison with diesel fuel. In addition, this study showed that simultaneous reduction of NOx and smoke emissions could be achieved by oxygenated additive and EGR method that was applied to decrease smoke emissions increasing with NOx emissions reduction.

        In this study, blending oils of diesel oil and butanol were used as fuel oil for diesel engine to measure combustion pressure, fuel consumption, air ratio and exhaust gas emission due to various operating conditions such as engine revolution and torque. Using these data, the results of analyzing the engine performance, combustion characteristics and exhaust emission characteristics such as NOx (nitrogen oxides), CO2 (carbon dioxide), CO (carbon monoxide) and soot were as follows. The fuel conversion efficiency at each load was highest when driven in the engine revolution determined by a fixed pitch propeller law. Except 30% butanol blending oil, fuel conversion efficiency of the other fuel oils increased as the load increased. Compared to diesel oil, using 10% and 20% butanol blending oil as fuel oil was advantageous in terms of thermal efficiency, but it did not have a significant impact on the reduction of exhaust gas emissions. On the other hand, future research is needed on the results of the 20% butanol blending oil showing lower or similar levels of smoke concentration and carbon monoxide emission rate other than those types of diesel oil.

        In this paper, we compare and analyze the injector defects of P-ENG and S-ENG with normal injectors by measuring current waveforms, voltage waveforms, exhaust gases and driving fuel economy. In the case of FTS failure, the S-ENG reduced the overall injection time by 3.7% and the main injection by 3.5% compared to the normal engines. In the case of AFS failure, the overall injection time increased by 45.7% and the main injection time increased by 24.1% compared to the normal engine. The rest data showed that fuel economy of S-ENG had 25.9% higher than P-ENG, NOX had 162.5% higher than that of P-ENG, and CO2 of S-ENG had 26.7% lower than P-ENG.

        최근 지구의 기후변화는 온실가스가 원인으로 전 세계적 대기환경문제로 크게 부각되고 있다. 국내에서도 기후변화에 적극 대응하기 위한 기술개발이 꾸준히 진행되고 있다. 날씨의 이상고온으로 인한 환경에 미치는 영향과 갑작스런 집중호우가 환경에 미치는 영향을 대상으로 하였다. 우리생활 주변 대기온도가 상승하였을 때 온도변화에 의한 대기오염발생에 미치는 영향을 연구하고자 한다. 본 연구의 실험조건은 선박 디젤기관에서 회전수 1400 rpm, 1600 rpm 그리고 1800 rpm, 부하는 0 %에서 25 %씩 100 %까지 하였고, 흡기 온도변화 는 20℃에서 50℃까지 구분하여 연구하였다. 연구한 결과 흡기온도가 증가함에 따라 일산화탄소 및 탄화수소는 약간 감소하였으나 연료 소비율, 질소산화물, PM은 약간 증가하였다. 또한 연소온도는 큰 변화가 없었다.

        대기오염에 관한 관심은 국내·외에서 점진적으로 상승하고 있으며, 자동차와 연료분야 연구자 들은 청정 (친환경 대체연료) 연료와 연료품질 향상 등을 이용하여 새로운 엔진 설계, 혁신적인 후 처리 시스템 등의 많은 방법으로 차량 배기가스를 감소시키려고 노력하고 있다. 이러한 연구들은 주로 배출 가스 및 가솔린 차량의 PM 입자 배출 두 가지 이슈로 진행되고 있다. 자동차의 배출가스 및 미규제 물 질, PM (입자상 물질) 입자는 환경오염과 인체에 악영향을 주는 많은 문제를 일으키고 있다. 자동차 배 출가스의 주요 물질인 입자상 물질은 작은 입자로 구성된다. 이러한 작은 크기 때문에, 흡입된 입자는 쉽게 폐 깊숙이 침투 할 수 있다. 이 입자의 거친 표면들은 대기중에서 다른 독성 물질과 결합하기가 쉽다. 따라서 입자흡입의 위험을 증가시킨다. 함산소 연료첨가제 유형 (MTBE, 바이오 ETBE, 바이오 에 탄올, 바이오 부탄올)에 기초하여, 본 논문은 가솔린 자동차 배출가스 및 미규제 물질, 나노입자 배출에 산소함량의 영향을 토론하였다. 또한, 본 논문은 두 가지 시험모드를 사용하여 배출가스 특성을 평가하 였다. 시험모드는 FTP-75 및 HWFET 모드이었다.전체 측정항목에서 배출가스 규제 값보다 적게 배출되고 있는 것을 볼 수 있었고, 산소함량이 증가하 면서 측정항목에 따라 증감이 다름을 알 수 있었다.

        Biodiesel fuel as an alternative fuel for diesel engine has a great possibility to solve the problem such as air pollution caused by exhaust gas emission of the automobile. In this study, the usability of non-esterfied biodiesel fuel as alternative fuel is investigated in an indirect injection diesel engine. New concept biodiesel fuel has no glycerin generated by esterfication process and reduces the 20% of cost because of no use of methanol in the production process. Experiments were conducted by using the four blends with different volumetric percentage of biodiesel (0, 20, 50 and 100) in baseline diesel fuel. The smoke emission of biodiesel fuel was reduced in comparison with diesel fuel, but power and brake specific energy consumption was similar to diesel fuel

        The two experiments were done on stationary car at 800rpm, 1500rpm and running car on oscilloscope and chassis dynamometer at the speeds of 20km/h, 60km/h. In this experiment, the relativity between waveform, exhaust emissions and fuel consumption through two experimental methods were measured in case of cars with failures in MAP sensor, O sensor, spark plugs. The following results are obtained by analyzing the data relativity between two experimental methods, such as stationary and running tests. A simple stationary test under the maintenance of a decrepit gasoline vehicle would be realistic possibility to predict the fuel consumption and the exhaust emission comparable to results of running test with a chassis dynamometer.

        본 연구에서는 국제해사기구(IMO)의 뜨거운 관심분야로 부상되고 있는 선박기인 입자상물질(PM)과 오염물질 배출에 관하여 한국해양대학교 실습선 한바다호를 이용하여 계측하였다. 특히, PM은 TEM 그리드를 이용해 채취하고 전자현미경으로 구조를 파악하였으며, NOx, CO₂, CO 등의 배기가스는 연소가스분석기(PG-250A, HORIBA)를 이용해 측정하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 선박이 항구에서 출항할 때, Bunker Change로 인한 PM 배출량은 최대 30 % 정도 차이가 있었다. 2) 정속 운항을 하면서 Bunker-A에서 L.R.F.O(3 %)로 변경할 때 측정한 PM 배출량은 1.34㎎/㎥, L.R.F.O(3 %)로 고정해 측정한 PM 배출량은 1.19㎎/㎥, L.R.F.O(3 %)만 사용하며 주기관 회전수를 20 % 증가시키면서 계측한 PM 배출량은 1.40㎎/㎥이었다. 또한, 저질유(L.R.F.O(3 %))로 변경시 CO 농도는 약 16 % 증가하는데 비해 RPM을 20 % 상승시킨 경우에는 152 % 이상 급격한 증가를 보였다. 이러한 결과로부터 배기가스 배출의 증가는 연료유종의 영향도 있으나, RPM의 변화에 민감하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 3) TEM 그리드로 채취한 PM은 약 4~10㎛ 정도의 다양한 입경을 가지는 다공질 응집체 형상의 구조인 것으로 확인하였다.

        The Effects of cooled and hot EGR(exhaust gas recirculation) on the characteristics of smoke and NOx emission have been investigated using a single cylinder, water-cooled, four cycle, DI diesel engine at several loads and speeds. In this study, a manually controlled EGR system was installed on a agricultural diesel engine which was operated at various operating system. And, the effects of hot EGR and cooled EGR on smoke and NOx emission were compared. The results showed that cooled EGR method was more effective than hot EGR method on smoke and NOx emission.
