        계면중합법은 혼합되지 않은 두 용액에 용해되어 있는 반응성 단량체들이 계면에서 중합되는 기술로 다양한 분야 에 응용되고 있다. 이 중, 수처리 분리막의 경우 m-phenylene diamine과 Trimesoyl chloride를 반응물로 사용하고 있다. 분리 막의 성능은 다양한 중합 성능에 의해 영향을 받고 있으며, 본 연구에서는 유기 용액의 퍼짐 속도가 어떻게 분리막 표면 및 구조에 영향을 주는지를 주사전자현미경을 통해 고찰하였다. 퍼짐 속도는 7.6과 25 mm/sec로 조절하였으며, 유기상 용액은 1~3방울까지 조절하였다. 관찰된 결과는 퍼짐 속도가 7.6 mm/sec에서는 한 방울 떨어트릴 경우, 25 mm/sec에서는 두 방울 떨어트릴 경우 폴리아마이드 막에 균열을 발견할 수 없었다. 반면 나머지 경우에 모두 균열이 발생하였다. 따라서, 초기 유기 용액의 퍼짐 속도는 폴리아마이드 분리막의 성능에 영향을 줄 것으로 관찰되었다.

        In this study, we investigated the overpotential of precipitation related to the catalytic activity of electrodes on the initial process of electrodeposition of Co and Co-Ni alloys on polycrystalline Cu substrates. In the case of Co electrodeposition, the surface morphology and the magnetic property change depending on the film thickness, and the relationship with the electrode potential fluctuation was shown. Initially, the deposition potential(−170 mV) of the Cu electrode as a substrate was shown, the electrode potential(Edep) at the Ton of electrodeposition and the deposition potential(−600 mV) of the surface of the electrodeposited Co film after Toff and when the pulse current was completed were shown. No significant change in the electrode potential value was observed when the pulse current was energized. However, in a range of number of pulses up to 5, there was a small fluctuation in the values of Edep and Eimm. In addition, in the Co-Ni alloy electrodeposition, the deposition potential(−280 mV) of the Cu electrode as the substrate exhibited the deposition potential(−615 mV) of the electrodeposited Co-Ni alloy after pulsed current application, the Edep of electrodeposition at the Ton of each pulse and the Eimm at the Toff varied greatly each time the pulse current was applied. From 20 % to less than 90% of the Co content of the thin film was continuously changed, and the value was constant at a pulse number of 100 or more. In any case, it was found that the shape of the substrate had a great influence.

        Polyacetylene (PA) films with vertically aligned fibril morphology were synthesized in homeotropic nematic liquid crystal (N-LC) solvent by using a magnetic field of 5 Tesla as an external perturbation. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) photographs indicated that the lengths of fibrils from the substrate were 5-35μm, depending on polymerization time. Carbonization was carried out using iodine-doped PA film and a morphology-retaining carbonization method. From the SEM results, we confirmed that the vertical morphology of the PA remains unchanged even after carbonization at 800℃. The weight loss of the films due to carbonization at 800℃ is about 20% of the weight of the film before iodine doping. It is expected that vertically aligned carbon might be a precursor for preparing vertical graphite materials, which materials could be useful for electrochemical energy storage and cell electrodes.

        Changes in surface morphology and roughness of dc sputtered ZnO:Al/Ag back reflectors by varying the deposition temperature and their influence on the performance of flexible silicon thin film solar cells were systematically investigated. By increasing the deposition temperature from 25˚C to 500˚C, the grain size of Ag thin films increased from 100 nm to 1000 nm and the grain size distribution became irregular, which resulted in an increment of surface roughness from 6.6 nm to 46.6 nm. Even after the 100 nm thick ZnO:Al film deposition, the surface morphology and roughness of the ZnO:Al/Ag double structured back reflectors were the same as those of the Ag layers, meaning that the ZnO:Al films were deposited conformally on the Ag films without unnecessary changes in the surfacefeatures. The diffused reflectance of the back reflectors improved significantly with the increasing grain size and surface roughness of the Ag films, and in particular, an enhanced diffused reflectance in the long wavelength over 800 nm was observed in the Ag back reflectors deposited at 500˚C, which had an irregular grain size distribution of 200-1000 nm and large surface roughness. The improved light scattering properties on the rough ZnO:Al/Ag back reflector surfaces led to an increase of light trapping in the solar cells, and this resulted in a noticeable improvement in the Jsc values from 9.94 mA/cm2 for the flat Ag back reflector at 25˚C to 13.36 mA/cm2 for the rough one at 500˚C. A conversion efficiency of 7.60% (Voc = 0.93, Jsc = 13.36 mA/cm2, FF = 61%) was achieved in the flexible silicon thin film solar cells at this moment.

        Changes in the surface morphology and light scattering of textured Al doped ZnO thin films on glasssubstrates prepared by rf magnetron sputtering were investigated. As-deposited ZnO:Al films show a hightransmittance of above 80% in the visible range and a low electrical resistivity of 4.5×10-4Ω·cm. The surfacemorphology of textured ZnO:Al films are closely dependent on the deposition parameters of heater temperature,working pressure, and etching time in the etching process. The optimized surface morphology with a cratershape is obtained at a heater temperature of 350oC, working pressure of 0.5 mtorr, and etching time of 45seconds. The optical properties of light transmittance, haze, and angular distribution function (ADF) aresignificantly affected by the resulting surface morphologies of textured films. The film surfaces, havinguniformly size-distributed craters, represent good light scattering properties of high haze and ADF values.Compared with commercial Asahi U (SnO2:F) substrates, the suitability of textured ZnO:Al films as frontelectrode material for amorphous silicon thin film solar cells is also estimated with respect to electrical andoptical properties.

        Film properties of monodispersed model composite latexes with particle size of 190 nm, which consist of n-butyl acrylate as a soft phase monomer and methyl methacrylate as a hard phase monomer with different morphology was examined. Five different types of model latexes were used in this study such as random copolymer particle, soft-core/hard-shell particle, hard-core/soft-shell particle, gradient type particle, and mixed type particle. Tensile strength and tensile elongation at break of final films were evaluated. Those properties can be interpreted in terms of PBA/PMMA phase ratio and their morphology. The interfacial adhesion strength was also evaluated using 180˚ peel strength measurement and cross hatch cutting test.

        Film forming behavior of monodispersed model composite latexes with particle size of 190 nm, which consist of n-butyl acrylate as a soft phase monomer and methyl methacrylate as a hard phase monomer with different morphology was examined. Five different types of model latexes were used in this study such as random copolymer particle, soft-core/hard-shell particle, hard-core/soft-shell particle, gradient type particle, and mixed type particle. The film forming behavior was evaluated using pseudo on-line measurements of the cumulative weight loss, the UV transmittance, and the tensile fracture energy. Each stages of film formation I, II were not sensitive to the morphology of model latexes, but stage-ill was largely dependent on the morphology of model latexes. The chain mobility of polymer which composed the shell component was found to dominantly determine the behavior of film forming stage-III.

        균일한 밀집구조를 지니는 투명한 폴리설폰 필름이 용매를 사용한 표면처리를 통해 개질되었다. 개질은 고분자 필름을 디메털포름아마이드 용매에 1 sec간 담그고 이를 비용매 욕조에 침지시켜 이루어졌다. 개질 전 투명하였던 필름은 개질 후 횐색을 띠며, 많은 기공이 표면에 형성되었다. 비용매로서 물을 사용하였을 때가 이소프로파놀을 사용하였을 때 보다 표면의 불균일도가 증가하였다. 개질된 필름을 사용하여 방사성핵종으로 오염된 지역으로부터 오염물을 채취하였을 때 일반적으로 사용되는 필터페이퍼를 사용하는 것보다 우수한 채취 효율을 보여주었다. 개질된 필름 중에서는 비용매로 물을 사용한 경우 이소프로파놀을 이용한 필름보다 오염물의 채취 효과가 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 개질된 필름은 고분자 필름의 양쪽 겉표면만을 변화시켜, 필름의 내부는 고유한 밀집도를 유지함으로써, 필터페이퍼 또는 유리섬유를 사용한 오염물 제거 과정에서 나타날 수 있는 매체의 기공을 통한 2차적 오염을 방지하는 효과가 있다.

        In this study, various model composite latexes were synthesized using n-butyl acrylate and methyl methacrylate as comonomers by seeded multi-staged emulsion polymerization. Monodispersed model composite latex particles with size of 190 nm and polydispersity index of 1.05, which have various morphology including random copolymer particle, soft-core/hard-shell particle, hard-core/soft shell particle, and gradient-type copolymer particle, homopolymers particles were prepared. The designed morphology of model composite particles were confirmed.

        연소화염법을 이용한 다이아몬드 박막합성시 기판표면온도 및 온도분포에 가장 크게 작용하는 공정변수는 탄화수소량을 결정하는 산소/아세틸렌 가스의 혼합비(R=O2C2H2)이다. 본 연구에서는 혼합가스비율 변화 (R=0.87-0.98)에 따른 기판표면온도 및 온도분포를 측정하고, 이들 변수에 따른 다이아몬드 박막의 생성 및 결정형상의 변화과정을 SEM관찰, Raman 분광분석 및 X-선 회절 분석을 통해 조사하였다. 혼합가스비율의 증가에 따라 다이아몬드의 생성입자 수밀도는 감소하였고, 이와 동시에 결정형상도 (111)면과 (100)면이 혼재된 cobo octahedron형에서 octahedron인 (111)면으로 변화되었다. 한편, 기판온도증가에 따라 생성입자의 수밀도가 증가하고 성장속도도 빨라져 조대한 결정을 얻었으며, 생성된 입자형성은 (111)면애 지배적이다가 (100)결정면이 점차 많아지는 양상을 나타내었다.
