        In order to evaluate the quality of indoor air due to the remodeling and newly-built in S City, 60 schools wereinvestigated in formaldehyde (HCHO) and total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs). One school exceeded thenational standard of formaldehyde 100µg/m³ at 1st measurement. Thirty-eight schools showed higher level ofTVOCs over 400µg/m³ at 1st measurement. Twelve schools showed higher level of TVOCs over 400µg/m³ at2nd measurement. This result derived from TVOCs which originated from the building materials and finishingmaterials. To prevent the pollution of indoor air quality at schools caused by formaldehyde and TVOCs, therecommendation of environmentally-friendly building materials, the diminishment of emission by bakeout process,the efficient combination of natural ventilation and mechanical ventilation, and antibacterial effect of chemicalcontrol measures as photo-catalysts should be given positive investigation.

        During the Joseon Dynasty, Injeongjeon area at Changdeokgung Palace was a core space in which major state affairs took place. Since founded in 1405, the Injeongjeon area’s spatial composition has been changed while it was repeatedly burned down and rebuilt several times. However, despite many studies and researches on the Chandeokgung Palace and the Injeongjeon area, the changes of the area in the 20th century have not been examined thoroughly. This study attempts to find out the procedure and purposes of the remodeling of the Injeongjeon area in 1908. It is possible to presume that the motif of this remodeling construction, worked out by the Residency-General, was to transform the area similar to Ekkensho or Audience Hall area at Meiji Palace regarding the following facts: only Japaneses’ participation in the construction, renaming the area as Alhyunso (Ekkensho), and involvement of Ito Hirobumi . Comparing plans of the remodeled Injeongjeon area at the Chandeokgung Palace with the Ekkensho area at the Meiji Palace, we can confirm this presumption and suggest the possibility that the Residency-General wanted to reduce the majesty and power of the Joseon Dynasty’s Palace by this remodeling.

        본 연구에서는 2013년부터 시행되는 ‘농촌마을 리모델링 시범사업’의 체계적 수행을 위한 추진체계와 세부내용을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 농촌마을 리모델링 관련 연구는 현재까지 리모델링의 목적이나 기능에 따른 다양한 개념연구와 농촌주택, 마을쉼터, 공공시설 등과 같은 개별시설에 대한 규모와 배치기준 등에 대한 분야에 한정되어 있어종합적으로 농촌공간을 리모델링하는 계획 수립과 이를 현장에서 적용할 수 있도록 기준을 제시하는 연구는 미흡한실정이다. 본 연구에서 농촌마을 리모델링 추진체계로 첫째, 지역주민의 참여를 유도하는 사업의 준비단계, 즉 주민이주체가 되어 자발적으로 마을정비 방향 설정, 시설물형태, 위치배치 등 사업내용에 대한 토론이나 포럼을 거쳐 마을계획서작성을 하는 것, 둘째, 지자체에서 선정된 사업내용, 규모, 시기, 예산내역 및 예상성과 등을 검토하여 사업시행계획을수립하는 것, 셋째, 관련전문가들에 의해 공간 및 시설계획과 법제도 검토를 통해 농촌마을 리모델링 계획을 수립하는 것 등을 제안하였다. 현재 농촌마을 리모델링은 개별적 사업을 추진하는 방식에서 마을공간에 대한 종합적 계획 방식으로변하고 있어 이를 위한 주민, 지자체, 전문가의 역할을 정의하여 리모델링 사업이 효율적으로 진행될 수 있는 추진체계를 제안하였다. 본 연구에서는 리모델링사업에 관련한 내용에 국한되어 수행되었으나 향후에는 농촌마을 리모델링의대상별 세부기준과 리모델링 결과에 대한 모니터링 연구가 필요한 것으로 사료된다.

        Remodeling is an architectural activity that transforms the existing state of specific building which has been aged and cliched into new state overcoming those aged and cliched state. Remodeling can be a means to increase building’s physical life-cycle and also a countermeasure to cope with the changes in use that are from social demand, use and technical development. The performance evaluation on the remodeling tenement shall be done by understanding the performance and state of the building before and after remodeling and then it shall represent the improvement in performance objectively by comparing the differences before and after remodeling. In this aspect, we performed basic research to conduct performance evaluation on the remodeling tenement by comparing and analyzing the performance evaluation and performance certificate systems of Korea and Japan in order to suggest objective evaluation system on the change of tenement building before and after remodeling. Now a performance evaluation system as opposed to new apartment is prepared at a point in time when demand increase of remodeling is expected, and the presentation of performance evaluation as opposed to a whole, now remodeling process is the deficient fact. The process that the propriety of remodeling be inspected before remodeling enforcement here, and prove as opposed to an investment after remodeling as a client, ordering is necessary by all means. A state of an existing house is grasped through performance evaluation of an existing apartment, design performance evaluation of remodeling apartment, under construction evaluation, completion evaluation by this study. And plan of a procedure to provide satisfaction to a resident because a remodeling design to be good for the situation and a demand of a resident and execution were measured, and confirmation evaluated, result performance was shown.

        In an attempt to respond to the increase in international oil prices and reduce operating expenses, ship remodeling was carried out on a 740ton class tuna purse seiner. To strengthen the competitiveness of the fisheries industry by improving vessel performance, a bulbous bow was newly equipped. The slipway and rudder area were also lengthened and enlarged with the propeller and main engine remained unchanged. To reduce the hull resistance, a circle type bulbous bow was attached on the hull behind bow thruster and thus the cost for exchanging electrical equipment for bow thruster was reduced. The new rudder area was expanded 15% more than the old one within the extent that the existing mechanical control part and rudder stock were not changed. To prevent fishing net damage and stabilize wake field, slipway was lengthened to the optimal position. All of the new design of remodeling parts went through the model tests in towing tank and CWC. Besides resistance test, all of necessary model test results were delivered for hydrodynamic character for the modified ship. The maneuvering simulation to verify that the remodeled ship satisfies the IMO rules was performed in both zigzag and turning tests. The estimated resistance with new bulbous bow and lengthened stern was reduced by 4.8% in the 2-dimensional analysis and 17.4% in the 3-dimensional analysis in comparison of conventional ship. The average reduction of resistance was estimated about 10%. Maneuvering character of modified hull form was found to satisfy all regulations under IMO. The remodeling of tuna purse seiner can not only improve fishing performance but also contribute to reduction of operating cost by saving energy for the fisheries industry.

        As people pays more attention to remodeling as a method to effectively improve, maintain, and manage building properties, it is important to ensure the economic feasibility of remodeling compared to reconstruction, instead of focusing on systematic regulations. In order to identify core technologies, the study set criteria to survey cost of a remodeling project by analyzing current status of remodeling projects. Based on the criteria, the study calculated average construction cost for two remodeling projects that were conducted recently, compared the cost with new construction projects, and examined major level works that are essential in a remodeling project. Based on the major level works, the study conducted interviews with construction experts to draw core technologies in design, structure and construction of a remodeling project.

In plan and design phase, it is a precondition that make the performance on the basis of user demand in the whole of Use, maintenance, repair, waste and reuse. Therefore, in the building technology case that development of element technology and practical use are fast in progress, a user is required to evaluate/choice according to performance. And a developer is required to the technical development that aim performance is cleared. The study selected a detailed item about performance item of re-modeling element technique through the requirement which the nations (such as America, England, Japan, etc) and the agencies of foreign countries present and item selection standard, from the point of view where the interest not only the individual but also govemmental politic viewpoint is coming to be higher re-modelling than new construction.

The first is Macro Level Approach of Remodeling Feasibility Evaluation on a Apartment Complex, and The second is Micro Level Approach of Remodeling Feasibility on each housing part is evaluated about removal and dismandement.

        We attempted to control the maturation promoting factors (MPF) activity and nuclear remodeling of somatic cell nuclear transfer (NT) bovine embryos. Bovine ear skin fibroblasts were fused to enucleated oocytes treated with either 5 mM caffeine for 2.5 h or 0.5 mM vanadate for 0.5 h and activated. The nuclear remodeling type of the reconstituted embryos was evaluated 1.5 h after activation. MPF activity was assessed in enucleated and chemical treated oocytes before the injection of a donor cell. Effect of chemicals on the embryonic development was evaluated with parthenogenetic embryos. MPF activity increased significantly by caffeine treatment, but decreased by vanadate treatment (p<0.05). Caffeine or vanadate had no deleterious effect on the parthenogenetic embryo development. In caffeine treated group, premature chromosome condensation (PCC) was occurred in 72.2% of NT embryos (p<0.05). In contrast, vanadate induced the formation of a pronucleus-like structure (PN) in a high frequency (68.9%, p<0.05) without PCC (NPCC). Blastocyst development of NT embryos increased by treating with caffeine (30.3%), whereas decreased by treating with vanadate (11.4%) compared to control (22.1%, p<0.05). The results indicate that caffeine or vanadate can control of MPF activity and remodeling type of NT embryos, resulting in the increased or decreased in vitro development.

        Since the beginning of our military history, we are continuously interested in supplying apartment for military officers. So we possessed 72,361 households and used in 2002. however, 18% of those are over 20years and need to be remodeled. Department of Military has taken this fact seriously to solve the problems, they built more new buildings, rent public buildings and remodeled the old one. But, The procedure of present military apartment remodeling has many problems at the stage of evaluating the priorities in various remodeling projects which have been caused from lots of corps. I’ve reviewed the study of military apartment business and applied the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) method which is effective to evaluate the priorities in various groups’ decision.
