The transition piece of the offshore wind power support structure transmits the load of the tower stably to the support structure on the lower side. The transition piece of the offshore wind power support structure should solve the stress concentration problem in design. In this paper, in order to solve the stress concentration problem occurring at the transition piece of the offshore wind power support structure, the location and the mitigation of the stress concentration have been studied.

In this study, we performed a series of experimental studies on the effect of tie-bars and steel-plate strength on the impact resistance of SC walls. A total of 8 impact tests were planned to investigate the impact resistance performance of SC walls at the extreme performance testing center of Seoul National University in Korea. The specimens were designed with the main test parameters of yield strength of steel plate and tie-bars. The results from this study will be used to improve and optimize the AISC N690 design equation for SC walls.

This paper presents the current status of development of assessment program for shock/Fire damage caused by aircraft impacts for NPP(nuclear power plants). According to international and domestic regulations, the design of nuclear power plants have to take into account the potential effects of the impact of a large commercial aircraft. In this study, we set up the practical application procedure to assess the shock/fire damage due to aircraft impacts for NPP in accordance with NEI(Nuclear Energy Institute)07-13 rule set and are developing the aircraft impact assessment program to reduce the effort and improve the accuracy.

There are two kinds of post-tensioning system for nuclear power plants. one is bonded-type and the other is unbonded-type post-tensioning system. It is difficult to directly evaluate the effective tensile force of tendon in the case of bonded-type. Therefor, it can be evaluated by system identification(SI) method. In order to use SI technique, it should be obtained the strain measurement results of the containment building wall. This paper is mainly focused on the stain measurement according to the internal pressure of containment building using fiber optic sensor and tried to use it as a basic data of the SI technique in the future.

BIM is an opportunity to implement construction IT. BIM has brought two changes. One is the change of geometric Information. It is the transition from 2D CAD to 3D model. The other is property changes. Requires conversion from data to information. This is a confergence of geometric information and attribute information, and BIM requires convergence in the construction work process. This study aims to present a method for activating BIM in Project management. The first task after the design is quantity take-off. The QTO is a process of converting the geometric information (Analog) into the attribute information (Digital). This QTO-database is important information that can be based on Project management. Therefore, it is necessary to construct information that is useful from QTO. It is WBS-CBS integrated information. BIM-based QTO refers to linkage between 3D model object and WBS-CBS. Through this study, we show the method of WBS-CBS integrated information based on BIM and show the applicability of BIM through actual case. This study is expected to be a basis for the successful implementation of BIM-based project management.

The mechanical behavior of the fasting system on the clamping forces has not been fully studied because of structural complexity. The goal of this research is studying the effect of nonlinear of the rail fastening system on the clamping forces in the railway bridges. A numerical model is proposed to analyze the problem of fasteners. The model is conducted by using a code in FORTRAN. In this study, fasteners are modelled as springs. The calculated results show a good agreement with values referred from manufacturer. As a result, the numerical simulation is believed to indicate an approximate value of clamping force considering the nonlinear behavior of fastening system.

In this research, new structural design and manufacturing method of atypical irregular UHPC structural members were newly introduced. The atypical irregular UHPC member was optimized to design from the conventional rectangular section and a method of nonuniform formwork system was newly created to manufacture the irregular member. The specimens were evaluated by analysis and the newly designed member was improved in bending performance by 2.6 times compared to conventional rectangular concrete beams.

This research was an attempt to design a new structural concept of non-uniform reinforced and super concrete truss members applying by super concrete which has the compressive strength of 80-200MPa, the tensile strength of 8-20MPa, and the tensile strain of 1.0-5.0%. The super concrete truss members were designed by the Strut-Tie approach as well as aesthetic design concept. The structural performance of designed superconcrete truss was evaluated with the conventional reinforced concrete members.

Recently, because of the increased needs for isolation device structure, a lot of buildings equipped with isolation systems are designed. In this paper, we provide the information about the seismic isolation effects due to the stiffness variation of isolation devices due to the manufacturing errors for middle layer seismic isolation.

In this paper, the effect of steel fiber-reinforced cement composite (SFRCC) on damage resistance of steel tube member. Test results show that the cumulative energy dissipation of SFRCC specimen was about 14% higher than that of Con specimen.

A deflection of a RC structure increases when sustained loads are applied in it. In this paper, a parametric study of long-term deflection was performed according to concrete strength, creep coefficient and ratio of sustained load for each design provisions. Results show that a long-term deflection in KSCDC is able to apply an effect of creep using an effective modulus of elasticity.

In this study the cyclic lateral loading tests were performed on the hybrid precast concrete panels that are interconnected by dry joints to emulate concrete shear wall cores for a mid-rise modular building. Test results show that it is necessary to improve the details of vertical reinforcement welded to the flange of C section member to increase the lateral resistance of hybrid precast concrete panels.

This research is about design optimization and performance evaluation for composite PC slabs using improved horizontal shear connectors. As a result of the tests, the improved shear connectors show structural performance even when they are placed only in the required section.

One of the indicators evaluate the bridge load bearing capacity is the peak impact factor. The peak impact factor is related to vehicle types and speeds and frequency of the bridges. Among the parameters, the vehicle types such as DB-24 and standard vehicle load presented in the current specification have different load distribution and different load axles space. Considering these features, in the present study, the variation of the peak impact factor according to each vehicle type is investigated and compared.

Void slab is a slab with hollow portions in the center of the slab which reduce a self weight of the slab. The flexural capacity of void slab is almost same with a normal slab, but the shear capacity is reduced according to the increasing of hollow portion. One of the solutions to improve shear capacity is using shear reinforcing bars. In this study, the shear capacity of one-way void slabs is evaluated according to an effective cross section and the capacity of shear reinforcing bars is discussed depending on integration method. As a result, it is shown that the shear capacity tends to be reduced from 0% to 34.5% of hollow rate and slightly increased from 34.5% to 40.0%. And the capacity of integrated shear reinforcing bars are better than the one without integrated shear reinforcing bars.

In this study structural behavior according to the boundary condition is analyzed. For the simulation the FE program LS-DYNA is used. Anaylsis results will be used to design blast-resistant door in detail.
