        Pick-up truck has the advantage that can transport more baggage by the deck. However, it is inconvenient to put loads by a high ground clearance values. In this paper, we proposed a corresponding method to the high ground clearance using 4-bar linkage lift mechanism of tailgate. In addition, the validity of the lift mechanism through the prototype test is verified.

        Due to the increase of income, people has a car more than one per household. So parking space is needed to minimum size for making many parking spaces. But narrow parking space causes that interference with another car is occurred when car's door is opening or closing. So sliding door is best way for solving the problem. But sliding structure of the door is difficult to apply to all vehicle because existing sliding structure is limited. For this reason, new sliding structure of the door is needed. In this study, we suggest new sliding mechanism of front door for vehicle and confirm the sliding mechanism using a finite element analysis.

        Optimal design of the water supply pipe network aims to minimize construction cost while satisfying the required hydraulic constraints such as the minimum and maximum pressures, and velocity. Since considering one single design factor (i.e., cost) is very vulnerable for including future conditions and cannot satisfy operator’s needs, various design factors should be considered. Hence, this study presents three kinds of design factors (i.e., minimizing construction cost, maximizing reliability, and surplus head) to perform multi-objective optimization design. Harmony Search (HS) Algorithm is used as an optimization technique. As well-known benchmark networks, Hanoi network and Gyeonggi-do P city real world network are used to verify the applicability of the proposed model. In addition, the proposed multi-objective model is also applied to a real water distribution networks and the optimization results were statistically analyzed. The results of the optimal design for the benchmark and real networks indicated much better performance compared to those of existing designs and the other approach (i.e., Genetic Algorithm) in terms of cost and reliability, cost, and surplus head. As a result, this study is expected to contribute for the efficient design of water distribution networks.

        Recently, a lot of smart devices such as smart phones have been spread. The research on smart education based on the devices are being actively investigated. A typical example of them is EPub3.0 proposed by the IDPF. Even if the educational content has supported multimedia such as image, video, text to speech and etc, it does not support a 3D virtual content yet. So a virtual reality-based education has not been achieved. In this paper, we propose an educational content system in which a virtual education simulation is possible through smart devices. To do it, the proposed system consists of an authoring tool creating 3D virtual educational content, and a viewer visualizing the content. The experimental results showed possibility of virtual experience education.

        This study will analyze the problems of the backward (obsolete) textbook contents and the stereotyped (imprisoned) teaching methods in classroom implemented by the Korean universities who teach advanced Mandarin conversation lesson in this digital era, and then put forward one possible solution called the model of “Flipped Learning”(“Flipped Classroom” is also included), which could teach advanced Mandarin conversation lesson by flexibly using Internet E-books. The existing education’s paradigm is discarded by teachers and students, and the textbooks’ role is changing rapidly and dramatically along with the education spread and knowledge diffusion via Internet. Through the flexible usage of the latest Internet E-books, not only the politics, economics, cultures, media and press of Chinese modern society could be known, but also our young generation (post 90s, post 00s)’s thought and vision. In a “Flipped Classroom” which gives conversation lesson, it could be expected that weak study will and motivation could be stimulated; uninterested and dull lessons could be inverted into spirit-lifting ones which contain endless lively activities; and those students who used to learn passively could maximize their ability to solve problems all by themselves in their learning process.

The trend of modern systems is getting more complex and larger. The system is necessary for modern society but the minor malfunction of the system can result the enormous human and material losses. Recently it is being heightened the concern for system safety and required to be built and applied Safety Engineering standard Guideline for safety of complex and large-sized system. This paper describes the System Engineering Process model integrated with Safety Engineering and the establishment of standard safety guidelines for safety of product development using DMADOV Methodology of the Lean 6 Sigma.

        화장문화에 대한 사회적 인식변화와 수요에도 불구하고 서울시립 화장장 건립은 지난 10여 년간 서울시와 서초구간 의 갈등으로 조성의 어려움을 겪어왔다. 그러나 자연환경을 거스르지 않은 범위 내에서 최신의 친환경 화장장 건설이라 는 약속을 전제로 본 사업이 시작되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 첫째, 기피시설인 화장시설의 인식전환을 위한 시설의 질적 개선방안 제시와 둘째, 지역민을 위한 복합문화공원으로 확장을 제안한다. 연구방법은 첫째, 이론적 고찰로 장묘정책과 인식변화, 추모공원과 화장시설의 설계요건을 분석한다. 둘째, 연구사와 대상지의 조사 분석을 토대로 계획방향과 기본 계획안을 도출하며 셋째, 공간별 기본설계를 제안한다. 계획방향은 추모의 의식과 이용자의 편의성 극대화, 공공성의 확장이다. 설계전략으로는 첫째, 추모의 전체적 분위기 조성 둘째, 공간의 위계적 구성 셋째, 자연요소를 통한 영역별 상징표현의 적용 넷째, 공공문화공간의 제공을 들 수 있다. 연구의 목적인 화장시설의 질적 개선을 구현하기 위해 자연 요소인 꽃을 상징화하여 건축과 조경의 통합디자인에 적용하였다. 또한 이를 외부공간의 위계성과 동선 및 환경계획에 확대시켰다. 지역민을 위한 복합문화공원으로의 확장을 위해서는 인근 청계산 산책로와 추억의 공간 및 정화의 숲을 연결하였으며, 자연문화공원으로서 다양한 수경시설과 야생화정원, 휴게마당과 숲 등을 계획하였다. 각 공간에는 헌화를 모티브로 한 예술조형물과 통합시설물계획을 수립하였으며, 예정된 부지 하단부의 생태공원 및 체육공원과 연계계획을 수립하였다. 결론적으로 본 연구는 새로운 화장장 조성 시 적극적인 실내외의 통합적 공간활용모델과 설계전략을 제안 함으로써 장래 건립예정인 다양한 추모시설과 공공기피시설들의 계획에 실제적인 설계모델이 될 것이다.

        In recent, modern people has been suffering from their hair loss. According to the definition, hair loss refers to the status in which hairs on certain regions are lost, due to multiple causes albeit they are supposed to be present under normal conditions. Compared to the normal hair growth cycle, numbers of hair loss outnumber the newly growing hairs and there is excessive amount of hairs in the resting phase, thereby resulting the reduction of total numbers of hairs. In the present study therefore, we designed and developed the scalp management system to pursue more efficient management of hair loss. In the suggested system, scalp types were classified as follow: Plain Scalp, Dry Scalp, Oily Scalp, Compound Scalp, Sensitive Scalp, Seborrhea Scalp, Pressure alopecia Scalp, Tinea capitis Scalp, Aging Scalp, Inflame Scalp, Psoriasis Scalp, Steroid side effect Scalp, alopecia scalp and so on. It was designed that each individual can perform the scalp imaging analysis using the system so that relevant experts review diagnosis history of existing databases and diagnose various statuses of scalps. Utilizing the system herein, we are looking forward to improving competitiveness of relevant industries.

        현재 사용되고 있는 대부분의 풍진동해석법은 진동수영역의 스펙트럼 해석법에 기초하고 있다. 스펙트럼해석법은 하중 및 응답의 위상각을 무시하게 되며 그에 따라 병진방향 및 비틀림 방향의 모드 응답조합이 어려워질 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 일반화 밑면 모멘트 스펙트럼밀도함수로부터 재생된 풍하중 시간이력을 이용하여 병진, 비틀림 방향이 연계된 구조물의 응답을 해석하는 시간이력 해석법에 대해서 다룬다. 제시된 시간이력 해석법의 적용성을 검토하기 위하여 직사각형 평면을 가지는 40층 규모의 구조물을 대상으 로 해석을 수행하였다. 수치해석결과에 의하면, 시간이력해석법에 의하여 질량중심으로부터 멀리 떨어진 곳의 비틀림 모드에 의한 응답특성을 파악할 수 있었으며, 병진방향과 비틀림방향 모드 응답의 조합에 의하여 보다 정확한 응답예측이 가능한 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 해석된 응답을 이용하여 사용성능 및 처짐 성능평가를 수행할 수 있기 때문에 예비설계 단계에서 보다 정밀한 내풍 성능평가가 가능한 것을 알 수 있었다.

        As energy consumption of building and the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions have been emphasized, phase change materials(PCM) have been introduced as building materials due to its high heat storage performance. Using shape-stabilizing technique, octadecane/xGnP shape-stabilized PCM(SSPCM) can prevent leakage and improve heat storage performance. The objectives of this study are to propose mix design method of concrete mixed with SSPCM and to evaluate mechanical behaviors of the concrete mixed with SSPCM manufactured according to the proposed mix design. Based on the previously reported material test result, the existing mix design of plain concrete(Concrete standard specification, 2009) is modified to consider reduction of strength in concrete due to the addition of SSPCM. To verify the proposed mix design, specimens are fabricated according to the proposed mix design and axial strength tests and three-point loading tests are performed. Test results show that compressive strengths of the tested specimens reach the designed strength even when two different mix ratios of SSPCM are used. From three-point loading tests, flexural stresses decrease as mix ratio of SSPCM increases.

        This study evaluates collapse probabilities of structures which are designed according to a domestic seismic design code, KBC2009. In evaluating their collapse probabilities, to do this, probabilistic distribution models for seismic hazard and structural capacity are required. In this paper, eight major cities in Korea are selected and the demand probabilistic distribution of each city is obtained from the uniform seismic hazard. The probabilistic distribution for the structural capacity is assumed to follow a underlying design philosophy implicitly defined in ASCE 7-10. With the assumptions, the structural collapse probability in 50 years is evaluated based on the concept of a risk integral. This paper then defines an mean value of the collapse probabilities in 50 years of the selected major cities as the target risk. Risk-targeted spectral accelerations are finally suggested by modifying a current mapped spectral acceleration to meet the target risk.

        In this paper, we developed the hydraulic leveling jack(HLJ) with double-tube type structure which could be applicable to excessive lateral load area. In order to develop HLJ, the design requirements, such as the vertical and lateral loads where applied to hydraulic jack, were selected. To verify the structural stability of the HLJ, the structure analysis was performed. In order to verify the operational performance and structural stability of the developed HLJ, test bench was designed. The performance of HLJ was verified via various test using test bench.

        In this paper, the design of hydraulic actuating circuit of doing over-running load was performed. Generally, the counter balance valve has been used to protect over-run or free falling of acuating system. But sometimes, it makes some undesirable problems such as pressure surge or vibration. To overcome such problems and satisfy the system requirements, we suggest the hydraulic circuit actuated by servo valve. In order to verify the properness of suggested hydraulic circuit, hydraulic actuator with servo valve was modeled using ADAMS/Hydraulic which is a commercial dynamic analysis software for multi-body system. Also, the effectiveness of hydraulic actuating circuit was verified via test bed and real plant.

        In this paper, the design of hydraulic system for leveling control of a large vehicle was developed. The hydraulic system for leveling control was consisted of four hydraulic actuators and two gravity referenced inclinometer. In order to verify the effectiveness of leveling system via simulation, Hydraulic actuators, vehicle and control algorithm were modeled using ADAMS which is a commercial dynamic analysis software for multi-body system. The test and simulation results of hydraulic actuator were compared and it showed the properness of simulation model. The effectiveness of hydraulic system and leveling control algorithm were verified via simulation results.
