충남 일원에 분포하는 초염기성 암석과 이에 수반되는 각섬암, 편암, 편마암에 대해 탄성파 및 밀도가 실험실에서 측정되었다. 밀도측정 결과 사문암은 2.6∼2.86g/cm3, 활석은 2.25∼2.81g/cm3, 변성암류는 2.74∼3.07g/cm3의 범위를 갖는다. 이 결과 활석은 사문암으로부터의 변성과정으로 사문암 및 각섬암보다 넓은 범위를 보였다. P파와 S파의 속도는 사문암에서 각각 5719∼6062m/s, 2898∼3351m/s 이고, 활석에서 4019∼5478m/s, 2241/∼2976m/s, 각섬암에서 5375∼6372m/s, 3042∼3625m/s, 편암에서 5290∼5499m/s, 2968∼3137m/s, 편마암에서 4788m/s, 2804m/s를 보였다. P파의 속도는 밀도가 증가함에 따라 S파의 속도보다 1.47배 빠르게 증가하였다. 탄성파 속도와 밀도 사이에 비례관계가 성립하며, 특히 밀도에 따른 P파 속도 증가율이 S파 속도증가율보다 약 1.47배 크게 나타났다. 탄성파속도의 이방분석결과 편리와 직각 방향의 속도값이 평행방향의 값보다 높았는데, 특히 변성암이 더 큰 차이를 보이는바, 이는 변성암의 형성이 지체구조성 압력의 영향으로 인한 광역변성작용에 의한 것임을 시사한다. 압력의 변화에 따른 탄성파속도 변화분석 결과 대체로 압력이 20 MPa에서 70 MPa로 증가함에 따라 변성암의 탄성파속도 증가가 다른 암석에 비하여 크게 나타났다. 재계산된 탄성파속도는 각섬암이 이 지역 하부 지각에 대한 탄성파 특성을, 편마암류 및 편암은 상부지각 암석의 탄성파 특성을 지시한다고 생각된다. 한편 사문암의 측정치는 높은 사문암화 정도를 반영하기는 하지만 상부 맨틀의 암석에 대한 탄성파의 특성을 지시한다 볼 수 있다.

Nine strains of pathogenic Vibrio sp. of clinical and environmental origin were examined for the degradation of gelatin, casein and hemolysin which is important to the virulence of this bacterium. Culture filtrates of all nine strains of Vibrio exhibited proteolytic activities. Especially, four strains of V. parahaemolyticus and one V. alginolyticus showed strong gelatin-degrading activity. In terms of hemolytic activity, three V. parahaemolyticus and V. mimicus showed strong β-hemolysis whereas those of strains of V. alginolyticus, V. fluuialis, V. uulnificus examined lacked this activity.

Seventy-four Vibrio strains were isolated from imported frozen seafoods and identified according to their physiological and biochemical properties. They included two V. cholerae non-0l sp., two V. diazotrophicus sp., one V. hollisae sp., five V. natriegens sp., eight V. fluvialis sp., and four V. nereis sp. Two of them were not identified as Vibrio species. When these strains were tested using API-20E ket for identification, however, only the results for two V. cholerae and five of the V. fluvialis strains matched the results obtained previously. Due to the importance of detecting V. cholerae from foods, phylogenetic identification of the strains was attempted based on restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) of the 16S rDNAs amplified by PCR. The results suggested that the two strains had identical RFLP patterns which were more closely related to that of V. proteolyticus than V. cholerae. The problems associated with identification of pathogens originated from seafoods demand development of accurate and rapid identification methods.

In reading Yeats’s works rooted in the ancient Irish tradition it will be helpful to understand celtic myth. Among extraordinary women from the ancient celtic tradition I studied three Irish women in W. B. Yeats's works: Queen Maeve in The Old Age in Queen Maeve, Deirdre in Deirdre, and Emer in The Only Jealousy of Emer. Moyra Caldecott’s Women in Celtic Myth provides much knowledge about Irish women characters. For the Irish stories the writer consulted Jeffrey Gantz’s Early Irish Myths and Sagas, Lady Gregory’s Cuchulain of Muirthemne and Gods and Fighting Men, and T. W. Roleston’s Myths and Legends of the Celtic Race. Maeve is the most written about among the Irish heroines: she is beautiful, forceful, strong, proud, devious, clever, lusty, and bloodthirsty. Daughter of Eochaid, the High King, she married a relatively minor king, Ailell, son of Ross Ruadh, king of Leinster. Their castle was on the plain of Magh Ai in the province of Connacht. Although Ailell was no weakling, he was, without a doubt, secondary to Maeve in many ways. She had property of her own: cattle, treasure and land that couldn’t match what he had. In fact the whole bloodbath of war to steal the Brown Bull of Cuailnge was brought about because there was one possession Ailell had that outshone her own: Ailell had a better bull. Maeve is the Queen most quoted as showing the privileged position of celtic women in the Iron Age. They were equal in every respect to men, and in some cases they were superior. They owned property; they could, as kings did, “divide gifts” and “give counsel”; they could ride chariots, fight battles, and dispose of lives. And with all this power and freedom went the recognition that women’s sexual needs were as legitimate as men’s. In The Old Age of Queen Maeve Yeats rehandling a given myth depends upon a combined knowledge of the myth that he learned and Yeats’s personal vision, sometimes even his personal affairs. Yeats’s love Maud Gonne is compared to Queen Maeve. A god of love, youth and poetry, Aengus who is crossed in love reminds us of the poet himself. In celtic myth there is a story of the love between Deirdre and Naoise: love with a lot of risks and sacrifices. This love is contrasted with the possessive and destructive lust of Conchubar. Then there is a theme of honor and dishonor. And finally there is beauty. Much is made of the extraordinary beauty of Deirdre, and it is a male reaction to her beauty that brings about “the sorrows.” In Deirdre Yeats selected certain elements which seem to be characteristic of the tale and dramatic in themselves, and introduced three wandering musicians, who are not in the myth. Deirdre was the Irish Helen, and Naisi her Paris, and Concobar her Menelaus. Yeats’s thematic structure provides the clearest link between the Irish myth and heroic romance. He wrote it in praise of the heroic woman, of “wild will”, and of passionate love and the powerful and joyous shattering of common codes and lives. Emer is the admirable wife of a great hero Cuchulain. She is beautiful, healthy, strong, intelligent, and vigorous. Her love for Cuchulain is the best of human love. In The Only Jealousy of Emer Yeats elevates Emer to the same tragic stature as Deirdre, the heroine of his Deirdre. Told by Bricriu that she must renounce her love for Cuchulain as the price for his return to life, Emer decides at the last moment to accept this bitter choice and return Cuchulain, ironically, to the arms of his mistress. These celtic women’s beauty may be representative not only of physical beauty but also the high aspirations of the soul. They are not virgins but mothers or wives. The heroic women show us that love makes humans mature. In these Plays Yeats turned to romantic dreaming, the tradition of nobility in the ancient celtic myths.

한국산 시베리아뽀족반날개속에 대한 분류학적 재검토를 시도하였다. 3종의 한국산 미기록종이 밝혀졌다 [Tachinus (Tachinoderus) nigriceps Sharp, Tachinus (Tachinus) sharpi Bernhauer & Schubert, and Tachinus (Tachinus) yezoensis Li]. 한국산 시베리아뾰족반날개속은 총 5종이 되며, 종 기재를 하였고 진단 형질을 도식하였다.

1997년 11월부터 1998년 6월까지 총 4회에 걸쳐 군산인근 해역을 대상으로 Vibrio 속의 분포와 특성을 조사하였고, 분리동정된 Vibrio 속 3종(V. anguillarum, V. vulnificus, V, metschnikovii)을 대상으로 해수에서 수온 변화에 따른 생존을 관찰하였다. 조사 기간 중 총 해양 종속영양 세균의 분포는 평판도말법으로는 1.2±0.6×103~2.0±1.5×104

글루코우즈 용액의 농도를 측정하기 위해 다층 젤라틴 필름으로 형성된 진단막을 제조하였다 글루코우즈의 최대 확산속도가 글루코우즈의 농도가 증가함에 따라 직선적으로 증가함으로 알 수 있었다. 혈액속에 존재할 가능성이 있는 화합물을 글루코우즈와 환원효소들의 반응에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다 그 결과 대부분의 화합물들이 글루코유즈의 최대확산속도에 큰 영향을 미치지 않는 것을 알 수 있었다.

생육초기에 발생하는 엽소(葉銷)는 본엽과 형태적, 생리적으로 다르며, 품종별로 차이가 있어 엽소(葉銷)를 제거해줌으로써 품종별 생육을 조사하여 엽소(葉銷)의 생리적 역할을 알아 보았다. 초장은 'Gelria'는 6cm로 식재한 경우, 'Jolanda'와 'Dream Land'는 0cm로 식재한 경우, 각각 생육초반에 엽소(葉銷)를 제거함으로써 초장이 작아졌으나 경경(莖經)과 꽃크기는 차이를 보이지 않았다. 개화소요일수(開花所要日數)는 품종에 따라 다른 양상을 보여 4품종 모두 0cm로 식재한 경우 엽소(葉銷) 제거에 의해 차이가 없었으나 6cm로 식재한 경우는 'Gelria'를 제외한 3품종이 단축되었다.

나리속(屬) 식물의 촉성재배에 있어 계통 및 품종별 차광정도와 기간에 따른 생육반응을 조사하였다. 초장은 초기차광에 의해 차광율이 높아짐에 따라 'Gelria'와 ' Casablanca'는 초장이 길어진 반면 'Jolanda'와 'Land'는 오히려 짧아지는 경향이었다. 또한 연속차광에 의해 'Gelria'를 제외한 3품종은 차광율이 높아짐에 따라 초장이 길어졌으나 'Gelria'의 초장은 대조구에 비해 차광구에서 초장이 짧았다. 개화는 생육초기에 차광함으로써 'Gelria'의 경우 차광율이 높아질수록 blasting의 발생이 많아지고 개화소요일수(開花所要日數)가 단축되었으나 암처리에 의해 다시 개화소요일수(開花所要日數)가 길어졌다. 다른 품종들은 큰 차이를 보이지 않았으나 암처리구에서 'Jolanda'의 경우 blasting이 15.7% 발생하였고 'Dream land'와 'Casablanca'는 착화수(着花數)가 감소되었다. 연속 차광함으로써 'Gelria'의 경우 차광정도에 관계없이 차광에 의해 화아(花芽)가 형성되지 않았고 'Jolanda'는 75%차광구, 'Dream Land'는 50%차광구부터 각각 화수(花數)가 줄어들었으며 꽃크기도 작아졌고 'Dream Land'는 75% 차광하에서 화아(花芽)가 형성되지 않았다. 그러나 'Casablanca'는 차광구에서 단지 개화소요일수(開花所要日數)만 길어졌다. 신구(新球)의 비대(肥大)는 생육초기 차광구에서 단지 'Casablanca' 품종만 차광에 의해 신구(新球)의 비대(肥大)가 저조하였고 다른 품종들은 차이가 없었다. 그러나 연속차광에 의해서는 공시품종 모두 차광에 의해 신구(新球)의 비대(肥大)가 저조했다.

Sri Lanka의 Lecithoceridae과 정리의 제6편으로 Alciphanes Meyrick, Parelliptis Meyrick, Carodista Meyrick, Synesarga Gozmany, Kalocyrma Wu, Technographa Meyrick, Mnesteria Meyrick, Teucrodoxa M Meyrick, Heterodeltis Meyrick, Pseudocrates Meyrick, Oxygnostis Meyrick, Dinochares Meyrick, and Dolchotorna Meyrickt속의 29종을 정리하였다. 그중 3종의 신종, Carodista fabajuxta sp. nov., Kalocyrma epileuca sp. novo and K. oxygonia sp. nov.,을 기재하였으며, 다음 12종의 학명은 그 속을 재구성 (new combination)하였다: Alciphanes tetraclina (Meyrick), A. holocona (Meyrick), A. palathodes (Meyrick), A. isochra (Meyrick), A. latycapna (Meyrick), Carodista paroristis (Meyrick), C. lycopis (Meyrick), C. geraea (Meyrick), C. epigompha (Meyrick), C. nubigena (Meyrick), C. paroristis (Meyrick), and Synesarga paroena (Meyrick).그리고 Catacreagra Gozmany은 Carodista Meyrick의 새로운 synonym으로 정리하며, Pseudocrates soritica Meyrick은 Sri Lanka 미기록종으로 확인되었다.

베트남산 Podontia affinis, P. dalmani, P. lutea의 3종 유충에 대한 상세한 기재를 하였으며, P. dalmani를 제외한 Podontia affinis 및 P. lutea는 최초로 기재된다. 또한 이 종들의 분류학적 특징에 대해서도 언급한다.

초 록 최근 중국에서 신종기재된 Neoscona속(거미목: 왕거미과)의 2종 Neoscona minoriscylla(아기지이어리왕거미)와 Neoscona pseudonautica(어리집왕거미)를 한국미기록종으로 보고한다. 이로써 한국산 Neoscona속은 기지종 8종과 함께 10종이 된다.

A fish pump makes very important roles in an automation system of an aquaculture farm, thus it has been used widely in order to transfer fishes from one place to the other place automatically. In spite of its significant roles, the efforts for developing performance and promoting efficiency of the fish pump are not sufficient yet. In this paper, a method which makes the fish pump automation system is suggested. Automation of the fish pump can be accomplished by using variable voltage and variable frequency inverter system including induction motors. Especially, very simple logic to generate Pulse width Modulation(PWM) wave to control induction motor efficiently and three steps speed control method to regulate liquid quantity of the fish pump simply are suggested. Owing to the simplifies speed control and PWM wave generation technique, a cheaper microprocessor, 80C196KC, than a digital signal Processor(DSP) can be used to operate control algorithm in induction motor systems for real time control Also, a new idea of remote control for the simplifies novel inverter system by Programmable logic Controller(PLC) without special output unit, digital to analog converter(D/A), is suggested in this paper. Consequently the function of reliability, availability and serviceability of the fish pump system are developed. It will be expected to contribute expanding of application of the fish pump in aquaculture farms because the system can reduce energy consumption and some difficulties according to manual operation prominently.
