Si(100)기판상에 여러 가지 두께의 Au박막을 선행 증착(pre-deposition)한 후, 각각의 Au박막상에서의 Cu-MOCVD박막의 초기 핵생성과 성장 기구를 고찰하였고, 또한 각 계면에서의 상호 확산 거동을 여러가지의 분석 장비를 이용하여 조사하였다. 30Å두께의 Au 박막은 수소 가스 분위기중의 열처리에 의하여 평탄한 표면 상태에서 불연속의 응집된 도상(island)형태로 변화(Si 전체 표면중 약 20%)하였다. 반면에 1500Å두께의 Au박막상에서 성장한 Cu-MOCVD박막은 두께 증가에 따른 미세구조의 차이, 즉 Cu박막중으로 Au원자의 확산여부는 Au박막에 유기되는 열응력(thermal stress)을 완화하는 과정에서 일어난 결과이다.

LI2형 결정구조를 갖는 Ni-20at.%AI-10at%Fe 금속간화합물에 boron, zirconium 과 hafnium을 최고 0.5at.% 까지 첨가하여 항복강도, 연성, 파괴 등 기계적 성질의 변화를 인장시험과 X선분석 및 XPS분석 등을 통하여 관찰하였다. Ni-20at.% AI-10at.% Fe금속간화합물에 boron을 첨가하였을 때는 연신율의 현저한 증가가 나타났으나 zirconium이나 hafnium첨가의 경우에는 별다른 효과가 나타나지 않았다. Ni-20at.%AI-10at%Fe 금속간화합물의 경우, boron의 양이 증가할수록 인장연신율이 증가하였으며 0.1at.%의 boron을 첨가한 경우 최고 48.5%의 상온인장연신율을 나타내었다. 첨가물을 넣지 않은 경우와 zirconium과 hafnium을 첨가한 경우, 파괴모드는 입계파괴의 형태를 나타내었으나 boron을 첨가한 경우에는 파괴모드가 입계파괴에서 입내파괴로 변화되었다. XPS분석을 통하여 boron이 입계에 편석된 것을 관찰할 수 있었으며 이는 이미 제시된 여러가지 해석들과 일치하는 결과이다. 이로부터 boron의 첨가에 따른 인장연신율의 증가는 boron의 입계편석거동과 관련이 있음을 알 수 있다.

RF-magnetron Sputtering Process를 이용하여 Pt/Ti/Si(100)기판위에 lanthanum-modified lead titanate 박막을 제작하였다. 기판온도와 증착시간이 증가함에 따라 증착율은 감소하였다. 기판온도가 증가함에 따라 fine grain들은 large grain으로 변화하였다. Perovskite구조는 기판온도 540˚C, gas pressure 30mtorr에서 나타나기 시작하였다. 본 실험에서 perovskite 박막제작에 대한 조건은 기판온도 580˚C, gas pressure 30mtorr였다. Pt/Ti/Si(100) 우선 배향된 박막을 얻었다. La양이 증가함에 따라 유전율, 항전계, 잔류분극량은 증가하였다. 중심주파수가 44.7MHz, 전파속도는 2680m/sec를 가지는 SAW filter 특성을 얻었다.

과냉각액체구역(δTx=Tx-Tg)을 갖는 Fe80P10C6B4 조성에 천이금속(Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, W, Mn, Co, Ni, Pd, Pt및 Cu)를 첨가하여 이들 원소가 유리화온도(Tg), 결정화온도(Tx) 및 과냉액체구역 (δTx)에 미치는 영향에 ?여 조사하였다. Fe80P10C6B4 합금의 δTx 값은 27K였으나 이 합금에 Hf, Ta 및 Mo을 각각 4at%첨가하면 그 값이 40k 이상으로 증가하였다. 이같은 δTx 값의 증가는 유리화온도(Tg의 상승보다 결정화온도(Tx)의 상승폭이 크기 때문이다. Tg 및 Tx는 외각전자밀도(e/a)가 약 7.38에서 7.05로 감소할수록 상승하였다. e/a의 감소는 천이금속과 다른 구성원소(반금속)사이의 상호결합상태를 의미한다. 즉 Tg 및 Tx의 상승은 강한 상호결합력에 기인하는 것으로 사료된다.

In the time of the rule of Japanese imperialism, Japanese style official residence played major role at the implantation of modern dwellings into Korea and its influences on Korean modern dwellings are distinguishable. This study focuses on the Japanese style official residence implanted into Korea before 1910. Before 1910 Japanese civilians in Korea builded just a traditional Japanese dwellings at the Japanese settlement in the ports opened. But Japanese engineers engaged in governmental organization of construction in the Old-Korean Empire builded a central corridor type Japanese dwellings as official residence. The central corridor type Japanese dwelling was an urban dwelling compromised between Japanese style and western style and distinguished by an outer-court type plan, Japanese entrance hall, central corridor and western style reception room. It is certified that the central corridor type Japanese dwelling was implanted into Korea before 1910 and this was the first time an urban dwelling to be implanted and spread through the whole Korea. The central corridor type Japanese dwelling implanted into Korea took in On-Dol and transformed to Korea-Japanese eclectic style. The central corridor type Japanese dwellings implanted into Korea in the time of the rule of Japanese imperialism makes function as a precedent of a modern urban dwelling to Korean and makes Korean dwellings transform from the rural inner court type into the urban outer court type.

A new CCD camera equipped with a large format chip is now under construction for the Kiso 105-cm Schmidt telescope. We use SITe TK2048E, of which pixel size is 24 μm and chip size is 48 mm square. TK2048E is thinned back-illuminated so that it has high sensitivity in U-band. The chip is cooled by a refrigerator instead of liquid nitrogen. MESSIA III is used as CCD control system.

We have constructed a near-infrared imaging camera which is attached to the prime focus of 105cm Schmidt telescope at Kiso Observatory. The camera is equipped with a 1040×1040 PtSi CSD array developed by Mitsubishi Electric Co. The combination of Kiso Schmidt and the array gives a wide field of view of 18.4'×18.4' with a reasonable spatial resolution of 1.06' /pixel. The system performances of the camera have been evaluated through laboratory and observational tests. Low noise, good cosmetics(no defect pixels), and good stability of the camera system show an excellent performance for astronomical use.

Here we report the results from spectroscopic observations of soloar active regions in the HeI 10830 Å line at the German Vacuum Tower Telescope(VTT) in Tenerife during the August 199:3 International EFR(Emerging Flux Region) Campaign. Four active regions in various stages of their evolution, i.e., NOAA7558, 7560, 7561, and 7562, were ovserved on 10 August 1993. From the observed HeI 10830 Å spectra in these active regions, spectroscopic quantities such as equivalent width(EW), doppler shift, doppler width, etc., were derived(see Figure l(a)) and the correlation between them were studied(see Figure l(b)). Our main results are as follows: (I)In NOAA7562, which is a young and evolving EFR, the EW is large, while it is small around a simple and roundish spot of NOAA7558. (2)In these active regions, redshift in the 10830 line is dominant when the EW is larger. (3)As the doppler width increases, the line tends to shift redward. (4)When the EW is smaller, it seems to exist another component which have dynamic characteristics different from the redshifting component. In NOAA7560 and NOAA7561, regions which have several small spots, the values of the EW are intermediate. Results (2) and (3) may suggest the possible existence of downflow above active regions, if the HeI 10830 Å line is formed in the upper chromopshere, and it is consistent with the earlyer result from the SMM extreme-ultraviolet observation by Klimchuk(1987, Astrophys. J., 323, 368) (to be submitted. to Astronomy and Astrophysics; an extended abstract)

Klebsiella sp. L-10 의 N-methyl-N`-nitro-N``-nitrosoguanidine 변이주인 Klebsiella sp. L-10 NTG-50으로부터 생산된 고점성의 히알우론산 복합체를 이상계 추출법으로 정제하여 물리화학적 성질을 조사하였다. 정제된 히알우론산 복합체의 점도는 온도와 염농도가 높아짐에 따라 낮아졌고 pH 5.0 이하와 11.0 이상에도 매우 낮았다. 정제된 히알우론산 복합체의 굳기(hardness)는 1.20kg, 응집성(cohesiveness)은 1.92, 점착성(adhesiveness)은 0.62 이었다. 또한 보수력은 g당 6.9ml이었다.

Bi-계 고온초전도체인 Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10(Bi-2223)단일상을 반응시간을 줄이면서 합성하기 위하여 Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O계 내에 존재하는 Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10(Bi-22o1), Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10(Bi-2212), (Ca0.91Sr0.09)-CuO2의 혼합물, 특히 정확한 Bi1.7Pb0.4Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+x의 조성대신 (Ca0.91Sr0.09)CuO2가 많이 첨가된 조성의 혼합물에서 Bi-2223가 가장 쉽게 형성되었다. Bi-2223상은 860˚C와 870˚C에서 60시간 이내에 형성되었다. 소량의 Bi-2212상은 장시간의 반응후에도 여전히 존재하였다. 중간화합물을 이용한 합성방법이 통상의 소결방법에 비해 반응시간내에 소량의 불순물상들을 가진 Bi-2223상을 형성시킬 수 있다.

The effects of added VC, CrC and TaC on the microstructures and properties of submicron WC-10%Co cemented carbides. The relative sintered density of compact was increased by addition of CrC but decreased oppositely by addition of VC or TaC. The growth of WC grains was significantly suppressed by addition of these carbides. The hardness of these alloys was increased by addition of other carbides and showed a maximum value by simultaneously added VC and CrC. The transverse rupture strength(T.R.S.) was in- creased by addition of CrC, while it was decreased by addition of VC or TaC. The relative sintered density and T.R.S. of these alloys were improved by HIP-treatment. The maximum T.R.S. was 328kg/mm in the Wc-10%Co cemented carbide with addition of 0.5%VC.

Chicken skins or carcasses inoculated with Salmonella typhimurium were exposed to 0.1 or 0.5% grapefruit seed extracts (DF-100) for 1 or 3 min to evaluate antibacterial activity of DF-100 and its possible application in proultry processing. The numbers of live salmonellae on chicken skins were reduced by 0.8-1.2 logs/㎠ with 0.1% and by 1.6-1.7 logs/㎠ with 0.5% DF-100. Dipping chicken carcasses into 0.5% DF-100 for 3 min reduced salmonellae by 4.3 logs/ carcass. Scanning electron microaoopy showed that DF-100 killed the cells attached but did not detach cells from the skin. No odor or changes in the color of chicken skin were detected after DF-100 treatment.

토양으로부터 글주탐산 생산력이 우수한 세균을 분리 하여 Pseudomonas sp. L-10 으로 동정하였다. Pseudomonas sp. L-10에 의한 글루탐산 생산은 시험균주를 5% glucose, 0.5% urea와 yeast extract, 0.1% K_2HPO_4, 0.02% MgSO_4·7H_2O, 0.3% (NH_4)_2HPO_4의 조성을 가진 배지에 0.5㎍/ℓ의 비오틴을 첨가하여 pH 7.0으로 조정 한 후 30℃에서 30 시간 진탕배양하였을 때 가장 좋았으며 이 때 배양액 ㎖당 약 1.2㎎의 글루탐산이 생산되었다.
