DGPS/Radio beacons are currently being planned or installed in many countries. They offer a cost-effective way of distributing differential data to large number of users. These networks are also being deployed in South Korea, Japan, and China. Several DGPS stations among them are operating on the same frequencies. The DGPS signal based on a radio beacon in medium frequency band travels principally as a groundwave over the surface of the earth. The signal may also be received as skywaves at locations beyond about 100 km from the reference station. These skywaves interfere with groundwave signals due to fading. This factor has generally ignored in designing DGPS/Radio beacon systems. A further important factor is to reduce the coverage due to interference from other beacons on the same or adjacent frequencies. The desired signal may fade due to interaction between its skywave and groundwave components. It may degrade the accuracy of the positioning in a complex fashion. This paper estimates the coverage of Far East Asia DGPS stations which are operating on the same frequencies, which is based on the signal protection ratio and interference of the signal strength of the groundwave and skywave.
To date many kinds of compounds have been obtained from plants kingdom as antineoplastic and anti-cancerous agents. However, there is no special type of compounds for cancer therapy. Various types of substances are effective for various types of cancers and tumors: for instance, alkaloids. lignans, terpenes and steroids etc. Curcumol obtained from Curcuma aromatica was tested and noticed to be effective against cancer of the uterine cervix clinically. Oridonin isolated from Rabdosia ssp. is now investigate for clinical trials in China. Moreover camptothecine isolated from Camptotheca acuminata is also antineoplastic alkaloid, but is very toxic. Chemical modification has been tried to decrease its toxicity This compound is now using as clinical agent. Harringtonin was investigated as an anticancerous drug in China. Taxol, a compound with a taxane ring isolated from the bark of Taxus brevifotia. has been demonstrated to have substantial anticancer activity in patients with solid tumors refractory standard chemotherapy. Supply of this drug has severely limited full exploration of its antineoplastic potential Some efforts are continued in National Cancer Institute(NCI) Washington for surveying various Taxus species for optimal taxol content, improvement in semi-synthesis from baccatin 111, improvement in method of extraction, and development of alternative renewable resources. Further, there are many compounds which have been reported as antineoplastic agents. On the other hand, we have screened on higher plants collected In Japan, China, Korea. Southeast Asia and South America for antineoplastic activity, which has been done using Sarcoma 180 ascites in mice, P388 Iymphocytic leukemia In mice, Chinese hamster lung V-79 cells, P388 cells and nasopharynx carcinoma(KB) cells in our laboratory, as primary screening. In this meeting, 1 will present on antitumor and cytotoxic substances of the higher plants(Rubis cordifolia, Ailanthus vilmoriniana, Aster tataricus, Taxus cuspidata var. nana, Cephalotaxus harringtonia var. drupacea, etc.) selected from above screening tests.
The Japanese DGPS Data can be received easily in the area of the Korean peninsula and some Korean users may use these data. However, its analysis has not been actually investigated. This paper is a study on accuracy analysis of Japanese Marine Radiobeacon/ DGPS in the South Coast of Korea. The 3 Japanese DGPS stations, Wakamiya(295 kHz), Ose Saki(302 kHz) and Hamada(305 kHz), near the Korean peninsula were analyzed by several ways. It was concluded that the feasible result of the experimental study with an error range of no more 10 m in 2 DRMS.
Radiobeacons that carry corrections for global satellite navigation systems are currently being planned or installed in many countries. In early 1996, it was begun to send DGPS correction message from a marine radiobeacon station located in Changgi Got Lighthouse. It was the first test broadcast of DGPS correction data based on medium frequency of marine radiobeacon where transmission power and rate are 300W and 100bps respectively in Korea. However, there has not been any scientific study on the characteristic of the accuracy of a marine radiobeacon/DGPS. Accordingly, this paper investigates the accuracy of the system, which is currently operating in 310kHz. To do this , the real time differential correction in RTCM data was collected in an implemented system. And then the accuracy was analyzed related to the coverge of the radiobeacon/DGPS. As a result, it is verified that the differential positioning accuracy using the marine radiobeacon is sufficient to ensure the safety of marine activities around the coast of Korea.
담수직파와 건답직파의 절충형 직파양식인 벼 요철골 담수직파방법에서 적정 파종량을 구명하고자 영남농업시험장 영덕출장소에서 1994년과 1995년 2년가 파종량 3, 4, 5, 6, 7kg/10a으로 실시한 시험결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. m2 당 입모수는 97~161개로 파종량이 증가할수록 입모수가 많았으나 파종량 3kg /10a에서도 요철골 담수직파재배시 안전 입모수 확보는 가능하였다. 2. 도복관연형질중 분얼결당 생중, 간벽두께 중심고비율 등은 파종량간에 큰 차이가 없었다. 파종량이 많을수록 좌절중이 떨어져 도복지수가 컸고, 포장도복은 파종량 5kg /10a이상에서 1~3정도 발생하였다. 3. 출수기는 10a당 파종량 5~7kg이 3~4kg보다 1일이 빨랐다. 4. 수량 구성요소는 파종량이 증가할수록 수수는 많았으나 등숙비율은 떨어졌고 수당 입수 및 천립중은 파종량간에 뚜렷한 차이가 없었다. 5. 건물중은 파종량 증가에 따라 증가했으나 수확지수는 떨어졌고, 2개년 평균 쌀 수량은 518~552kg /10a당 파종량 5kg /10a에서 가장 높았다. 6. 2차 회귀곡선식으로 추정한 최고수량을 나타낸 파종량은 4.3~4.8kg /10a이었고 이때 m2 당 입모수는 126~135개였다.
The community of phytoplankton and water quality were investigated 5 times from October, 1994 to October, 1995 in the east area of Chinhae Bay. Seasonal changes of environmental parameters were shown general pattern and related to the red tide mechanism of phytoplankton community. Seasonal variations of dissolved oxygen concentrations were affected by the photosynthetic activity of phytoplankton community and the increase of COD at the bottom water was occurred after the red tide.
The standing stocks of phytoplankton in this study area ranged 202 - 1616 Cells·ml^-1 and the bloom(red tide) was formed from April to July. The diatom species, Skeletonema costatum was a dominant species all the year round and the dinoflagellate species, Alexandrium tamarense and Prorocentrum triestinum were red tide species increased standing stocks in phytoplankton bloom.
This paper reviews the differences between the selected village groves and the selected roadside groves. In Chonbuk province, the village groves were principally found in the east mountainous region and roadside groves were principally found in the west low-sloped region. They were located in the place of good accessibility and good view. The differrence between the village groves and roadside groves was considerately large in the aspect of physical, socio-behavioral condition and vegetation structure. Both were contrasted in many points. The results resolve itself into Table 2, 4, 6. This research is useful in finding the characters of the both groves and in preparing the conservation and management plan of the groves through comparative review.
이제까지 보고된 앙소시대 농업유적을 검토하여 앙소시대 농업의 발전을 주로 도속혼작 농업의 분포로 파악하고 도속혼작구의 북한계선을 연장하여 도속의 동북전파를 고찰하였다. 앙소시대문화 유적을 가지고 도작농업구, 속작 농업구 그리고 도속혼작 농업구의 구분을 시도하였다. 도혼작 농업구의 도률유적을 검토하고 앙소시대 중의 도속혼작구의 변천을 검토하여 그 북한계선이 남북으로 이동했음을 고찰하였다 앙소시대 장강유역 및 황회지구에서의 고고 발굴물을 가지고 도작에 영향하였을 것으로 생각되는 기후 · 환경을 고찰하였다. 도속혼작구 북한계선의 남북이동을 가지고 도작의 동북향 전파 특히 한국 한강유역으로의 전파를 추측하였다.
The aim of the present study is to investigate the interannual variabilities of the East Asia monsoon rainfall associated with the global sea surface temperature anomaly(SSTA). For this study, the summer rainfall(from June to August) over the twenty-eight period of 1961-1988 were analyzed with being divided by nine-subregions over East Asia including Korea, China and Japan. From the analysis of the principal modes explaining the interannual variation, the interannual variabilities of summer rainfalls in South Japan and Korea are larger than those of the other subregions of the East Asia. There is a strong negative correlation between the summer rainfalls of south China and Korea. In this study, the relationship between the summer monsoon of each subregion and SSTs of the tropical NINO regions, of western Pacific warm pool, and of the subtropical ocean were investigated. The longitudinal sections of the lagged cross correlations of the summer rainfall anomaly in (a) Korea and (b) south China, and the monthly SSTA in the equatorial (averaged from 6S to 6N) Pacific were analyzed. The negative maximum correlation pattern of Korea`s summer rainfall and SSTs over the eastern Pacific is transfered to positive maximum correlation over central Pacific region with a biennial periodicity. In South China, the significant positive correlations are found at -12 month lag over the eastern Pacific and maximum negative correlation at +6 month lag over the central Pacific with the quasi-biennial oscillation. But the correlation coefficient reverses completely to that in Korea. In order to investigate the most prevailing interannual variability of rainfall related to the favored SSTA region, the lagged cross correlations between East Asia rainfall and SSTs over the NINO regions(NINO 1+2(0-10S, 90W-80W), NINO 3(5N-5S, 150W-90W), NINO 4(5N-5S, 160E-150W) and the western Pacific warm pool (5N-5S, 120E-160E) were analyzed. Among the lagged cross-correlation cycles in NINO regions, the maximum correlations for the negative lagged months prevail in NINO 1+2 and NINO 3, and the cross correlations for the positive lagged months NINO 4. It is noteworthy that correlation between the western Pacific warm pool SSTA and the monsoon rainfall in Korea and South China have the maximum value at negative 4 month lag. The evolution of the correlation between the East Asia monsoon rainfall and SSTA is linked to the equatorial convective cluster and related to northward propagating situation, and raising the possibility that the East Asia monsoon precipitation may be more fundamentally related to the interaction of intraseasonal oscillations and the sub-regional characteristics including the surface boundary conditions and the behavior of climatological air mass.
The rapid progress of the intermodal freight transportation in recent years has induced fierce competition among the adjacent hub ports for container transport. This brings increased attention to the evaluation of the port competitive ability. But it is not easy to evaluate the port competitive ability because this belongs to ill-defined system which is composed of ambiguous interacting attributes. Paying attention to this point, this paper deals the competitive ability of container port in Far-East Asia by fuzzy integral evaluation which is adequate to interacting ambiguous attribute problem. For this, the proposed fuzzy evaluation algorithm is applied to the real problem, based on the factors such as cargo volumes, costs, services, infrastructure and geographical sites These are extracted from the precedent study of port competitive ability, etc. The results show that the port evaluation factors come in following order ; services, costs, infrastructure, geographical sites and cargo volumes. There are some interactions(interaction coefficient, λ=-0.664 between evaluation attributes. The port competitive ability comes in following order : Singapore, Hongkong, Kobe, Kaoshiung and Busan. According to the sensitivity analysis, the rank between Busan and Kaoshiung changes when λ=0.7. From the analysis of the results, we confirmed that the proposed fuzzy evaluation algorithm is very effective in the complex-fuzzy problem which is composed of hierarchical structure with interacting attributes.
