        This research aimed to investigate the impacting psychological factors for Vietnamese’s intention to stop littering. A quantitative method using self-reported online questionnaire was adopted to collect data from Vietnamese residents and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) method was employed to examine the proposed relationships. The results indicate that higher connectedness to nature and lower perceived behavioral control are associated with higher intention to stop littering in Vietnam. Limitations of current study and future research directions are outlined.

        This study derived elements from the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) to assess factors influencing attitude and intention to use drones for medications delivery among Generation Y consumers. Data was collected from 300 respondents. The results revealed that attitudes towards the use of drones for medicine delivery were influenced by perceived service quality, usefulness, and service value. Subjective norms, usefulness, service value and attitudes impacted behavioural intention. This study contributes in distribution strategy literature. It also enriches information on the drone delivery capabilities as well as the accessibility of medications through drones.

        Current forces of change such as the digital transformation, the increasing importance of service and experiential luxury, new customer groups with diverse cultural backgrounds and spending habits or rising expectations with regards to transparency and sustainability, force brands to rethink the way they do business. In some cases, this means quickly building up new capabilities, which often exist outside a company’s own organizational structure and cannot easily be developed or integrated. Luxury ecosystems are considered one way of dealing with the challenges of an ever more dynamic, fast-changing and multi- faceted environment. In luxury ecosystems, capabilities are built in collaboration with partners from the same or different industries that share a common vision. However, the ecosystem approach, especially when actively communicated to the outside world and made part of the brand’s DNA, partially stands in contrast to the more traditional notion of exclusivity and the luxury brand as a bounded, proprietary system shrouded in mystery. Based on a qualitative approach, including multiple case studies and interviews, this study examines the opportunities of an ecosystem mindset for Swiss luxury companies, explores different forms and identifies the success factors and limits of the concept.

        The energy demands of the world have been accelerating drastically because of the technological development, population growth and changing in living conditions for a couple of decades. A number of different techniques, such as batteries and capacitors, were developed in the past to meet the demands, but the gap, especially in energy storage, has been increasing substantially. Among the other energy storage devices, supercapacitors have been advancing rapidly to fill the gap between conventional capacitors and rechargeable batteries. In this study, natural resources such as pistachio and acorn shells were used to produce the activated carbons for electrode applications in a supercapacitor (or an electrical double-layer capacitor— EDLC). The activated carbon was synthesized at two different temperatures of 700 °C and 900 °C to study its effect on porosity and performance in the supercapacitor. The morphology of the activated carbon was studied using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). A solution of tetraethylammonium tetrafluoroborate ( TEABF4)/propylene carbonate (PC) was prepared to utilize in supercapacitor manufacturing. The performance of the EDLC was investigated using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Activated carbons from both the pistachio and acorn shells synthesized at 700 °C in argon gas for two hours exhibited better surface textures and porosity. There activated carbons also exhibited more capacitor-like behavior and lower real impedances, indicating that they would have superior performance compared to the activated carbons obtained at 900 °C. This study may be used to integrate some of natural resources into high-tech energy storage applications for sustainable developments.

        In this essay, the author will discuss recent United States Supreme Court cases as well as international trade cases decided this year by the specialized international trade courts in the United States. Let me then discuss recent U.S. trade action concerning China and put this in the context of President Trump’s generalized approach to China and international trade. This article will conclude with a few observations pertaining to the upcoming presidential election in the United States. The. Supreme Court recently ruled on two highly politicized and historic cases on executive power. What has been almost totally overlooked is an international trade decision by a three-judge panel of the United States Court of International Trade. That case and earlier trade cases indicate the start of a multifaceted attempt to restrict the president’s trade policies. Either the 2020 presidential election will put a stop to President Trump’s reliance on national security to establish disastrous trade policies, or the country will be in this mess for years to come.

        Our objective of this study is to design and develop a polyethylene glycol ( PEG2000)-modified multiwall carbon nanotube (PEGylated MWCNT) formulation for oral controlled metronomic chemotherapeutic drug delivery. Multiwall carbon nanotubes undergo various chemical modifications including oxidation with strong acids, conjugation of polyethylene glycol, and coating with cellulose acetate phthalate which resulted in the formation of aqueous dispersion and prevention of drug degradation in acidic environment. Advanced analytical procedure such as Fourier transform infra-red, X-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry, thermal gravimetric analysis, transmission electron microscopy, and dynamic light scattering techniques were used to evaluate physicochemical characterization. We also performed in vitro cytotoxic study by MTT assay and results revealed that carboplatin-loaded PEGylated MWCNTs did not show significant detrimental effect on the viability of MDA-MB-231 (human breast cancer) cells. The maximum encapsulation and drug-loading capacity were determined to be 71.58 ± 0.04 and 39.62 ± 0.07%, respectively. The release of carboplatin from PEGylated MWCNTs was investigated at simulated intestinal fluid (SIF), pH 6.8, after optimizing at simulated gastric fluid (SGF), pH 1.2, by enteric coating. Enteric-coated PEGylated MWCNTs exhibit pH-responsive drug activity in a sustained manner especially at pH 6.8. This surface modification strongly suggests that PEGylated MWCNTs could be a potential carrier for metronomic chemotherapeutic agent for high drug resistance, drug with maximum adverse effect and poorly oral bioavailable drugs.

        의존성 이론은 불평등한 국제시스템에서 개발도상국의 지속적인 빈곤과 후진의 근본 원인을 설명한다. 이 이론은 국제규칙을 수립하는 과정에서 개발도상국이 선진국의 패권에 맞서 싸울 수 있도록 하는 필수적인 이론적 무기가 되었다. 의존성이론에서 파생된 중국의 의존성 이론은 최 근 몇 년간 일부 서양 학자에 의해 공식화되었으나, 이는 중국과 다른 개발도상국 간의 상호의존관계가 중국의 일방적인 의존성에 의한 것이라 고 말하고 있다. 서양학자들은 본 이론을 통해 중국이 다른 개발도상국의 원자재를 착취하고 열등한 산업제품을 덤핑한다고 지적하고 있다. 또 한 중국이 개발도상국에서 신 식민주의를 행하고 있다고 비난한다. 중국 의존성이론은 많은 개발도상국에 알려져 있으며, 이는 중국의 ‘일대일로’ 구상에 불안정한 변수 중 하나이며 다른 개발도상국과의 관계를 손상시키고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 배경 하에, 중국 의존성이론을 형성하는 원인과 성장과정 및 영향을 변증적으로 분석하여, 중국 의존성이론을 지지 하는 개발도상국의 일부 학자들의 관점을 논리적으로 비판한 후에, 마지 막으로 중국 의존성이론에 대한 중국 측의 관점을 도출한다.

        In this study, hair waste was converted into active carbon for the first time and its characteristics were analyzed. As chemical activation tool, zinc chloride ( ZnCl2) was impregnated and then carbonized under different temperatures (250–300 °C). Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) images showed an increase in the pore density, radius and volume of pores. X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) showed that the samples had an amorphous structure. In Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscope analysis, C=C and N–H vibrations observed in 1515–1520 cm−1 wave number of protein molecules were found to disappear with the increase in temperature. With Raman spectroscopy, the behaviors of D peak at 1344 cm−1 wave number and G peak at 1566 cm−1 wave number expressing structure layout in carbonized structures were analyzed depending on the temperatures. Between these intensities, (ID/IG) the rate was found to differ in direct proportion to temperature. XRD spectrums showed that the samples are converted into a more irregular crystal structure. All these results implied that the waste hair mass could be used as an adsorbant material.

        Carbon short fibers/copper composites with different carbon short fiber contents up to 15 wt.% as reinforcements are prepared to investigate the influence of the carbon short fiber surface coating on the microstructure, density, and electrical properties of the carbon short fibers/copper composites. The carbon short fibers were surface treated by acid functionalization followed by alkaline treatment before the coating process. It was observed from the results that coated type copper nanoparticles were deposited on the surface of the carbon short fibers. The surface treated carbon short fibers were coated by copper using the electroless deposition technique in the alkaline tartrate bath by using formaldehyde as a reducing agent of the copper sulfate. The produced coated carbon short fibers/copper composite powders were cold compacted at 600 MPa, and then sintered at 875 °C for 2 h under (hydrogen/nitrogen 1:3) atmosphere. A reference copper sample was also prepared by the same method to compare between the properties of pure copper and the carbon short fibers/copper composites. The phase composition, morphology, and microstructure of the prepared carbon short fibers/copper composite powders as well as the corresponding carbon short fibers/copper composites were investigated using X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) equipped with an energy-dispersive spectrometer (EDS), respectively. The density and the electrical resistivity of the sintered composites were measured. It was observed from the results that the density was decreased; however, the electrical resistivity was increased by increasing the carbon short fibers wt.%.

        “시진핑 신시대 중국특색 사회주의(Xi Jinping new era’s socialism with Chinese characteristics)” 배경 하에 중국의 외교정책은 3.0시대로 진입했다. 3.0시대의 중국외교정책은 2017년 이후에 두 가지 새로운 발전(New developments)을 추가로 제시하였다. 첫째는 중공 19대 회의에서 “주변외교방침”(Neighborhood diplomacy)을 강조하였고, “일대일로”(the Belt and Road Initiative)를 당장(Party constitution)에 넣었다. 둘째는 중국의 헌법에 “평화발전도로를 견지한다”, “호익공영개방전략을 견지한다”, 및 “인류운명공동체를 추진한다” 3가지 내용을 추가하였다. 중국이 아시아의 중요한 나라 중의 하나로써 3.0시대 중국외교정책의 이러한 새로운 발전변화는 주변국가에 많은 영향을 줄 것으로 판단된다. 본 논문은 문헌연구를 기반으로 중국 3.0시대 외교정책의 새로운 발전변화를 파악하고 이들이 한반도 평화과정에 어떤 영향을 미칠지 분석하고자 한다. 연구결과로 중국의 3.0시대외교는 동북아시아, 특히 한반도의 비핵화 및 평화프로세스를 중점으로 두고 있다. 한반도의 평화 및 발전은 중국의 국익(National interest)과 일치하며, 중국은 관련 국가들과 함께 한반도의 평화를 위해 노력할 것이다. 또한 중국은 향후에 “일대일로” 및 “인류운명공동체” 측면에서 볼 때 남북한과 지역발전전략 연계(Docking)를 통해 한반도 발전에도 큰 도움을 줄 것이다.

        ‘Japonica 7’(Registration No. BPI-NSIC-2019-Rc 584)은 열대지역에 적응하는 고품질 다수성 자포니카 벼를 개발 하기 위하여 2020년 육성되었으며 육성 과정 및 주요 특성은 다음 과 같다. 1. ‘Japonica 7’은 열대지역 적응 고품질 자포니카 다수성 품종 육성을 목적으로 필리핀 소재 국제미작연구소 (IRRI)에서 농촌진흥청 파견 연구원 주도로 2012년 건기에 필리핀 국제미작연구소에서 ‘Japonica 2’와 ‘IR11K233’를 교배한 후 계 통육종법으로 육성된 품종이다. 2. 2012년 우기에 F1세대로 부터 얻은 종자를 이용하여 F6 세대까지 계통을 전개하는 과정에서 선발된 ‘IR101055-52-2- 1-2-2’ 계통을 대상으로 2017~2018년 2년간 우기 및 건기 각 2회 지역적응시험을 실시한 결과 그 우수성이 인정되어 2020 년에 필리핀 벼 품종심의위원회에서 장려품종으로 선정되고 ‘Japonica 7’으로 명명되었다. 3. ‘Japonica 7’은 파종부터 수확까지 생육일수가 111일인 조생종으로, 간장과 수장, 포기당 이삭수는 ‘MS 11’과 비슷하다. 등숙률은 89%로 ‘MS 11’보다는 낮은 편이나 ‘Japonica 1’ 보다는 높았다. 현미천립중은 23.3g으로 ‘MS 11’과 비슷한 중립중이다. 4. 병해충 반응은 도열병과 잎집무늬마름병 및 흰잎마름병 에는 중도저항성이나 퉁그로바이러스에는 약하다. 벼멸구와 애멸구에는 중도 또는 감수성이었으나 이화명충의 일종인 White stemborer에는 ‘MS 11’과 비슷하게 강한 편이다. 5. ‘Japonica 7’의 곡립은 중립종이고 완전미 도정수율이 58.8%로 ‘MS 11’보다 높았으며, 필리핀 소비자 선호도는 ‘Japonica 7’이 대비품종인 ‘MS 11’ 보다 쌀에서는 75.6%, 밥맛에서는 81.1%로 현저하게 높게 나타났다. 6. ‘Japonica 7’의 수량은 필리핀 지역적응시험 평균 3.03 MT/ha로 대비품종 ‘MS 11’보다 17% 높았으며 시험한 전지역에서 전반적으로 표준품종인 ‘MS 11’보다 전 지역에서 안정적으로 높은 수량을 나타냈다.
