For this study, we established a system for the CPU cooling performance evaluation and conducted performance tests on air-cooling and water-cooling to understand the effect of the CPU cooling method on performance. For the performance evaluation, the test chamber and water-cooling system were set up, the workload S/W was selected, and a case file was created. In the case of the air-cooling, the CPU temperature is sensitively affected by the outside air temperature, the direction of the board installation, and the influence of the airflow formed around it, and may cause a lot of fluctuations in the CPU temperature. When the water-cooling system was applied, the CPU temperature decreased from 75℃℃ to 37℃ compared to the air-cooled type under the test conditions of 28.5℃ and 3LPM cooling water supply temperature and flow rate. As the CPU clock speed increased due to the decrease in temperature, it was found that the job execution time was reduced by 15~23%. In the future, it is expected that using this performance evaluation environment established through this study will enable us to easily conduct test evaluations for various processors, cooling methods, and changes in operating conditions.
In general, small and medium-sized computer rooms do not have access floors for reasons of increased floor height and increased construction cost. Therefore, the air conditioning method used here applies the method of directly blowing the cold air of the air conditioner into the computer room. In this case, the hot/cold air is not separated, and as the hot air is recirculated, it is re-introduced to the front of the server rack, resulting in a problem that the server cooling efficiency is decreased. In addition, in such a computer room structure, it is difficult to configure and install a containment system. In this study, we tried to understand the problem of the formation airflow in the case of using the existing air conditioning method, and to find a method of configuring the air conditioning environment to improve the cooling efficiency. The purpose of this study was to understand the airflow/temperature distribution in the computer room using the CFD simulation method. In addition, the thermal characteristics of various air-conditioning environments such as the location of the CRAC cold air discharge location, the layout between server rack and CRAC and the containment were reviewed.
The goal of this study is to find out the aspects of sociocultral dispositions and changes reflected on neologisms. To do this, two different sets of data are dealt with and investigated. The recent data are 2048 new words collected from 2012 to 2016 by National Institute of Korean Language; the older data are 2446 new words also collected by the same institute, which were published in 2007 in the book, Sajeone Eopneunmal Sinjoeo (Neologisms not found in a Dictionary). Since the former data were collected after smart phones were introduced and widely used, and the latter were collected before them, the comparison should cast some significant insights, especially because the principal source and the diffusing channel of new words are expected to be different. The data were divided by three broad categories, society, life style and people, which were further classified respectively into several relevant subordinate groups. The two sets of data were compared and examined based on their frequencies and characters. Some of the findings are as follows: interest in people and individual differences draw less attention than before; IT related words are detected in various sectors of the society, life style and people; leisure activities come to occupy a much more important role in people's lives; women draw more attention in terms of their roles and social recognition; the same is true with the elders; rather difficult times youngsters are going through seems to be reflected in many negative words related to them. It was also recognized that the recent data demonstrate more of the characterizations of younger generation's expressions and perspectives than those of older data, which reflects their more positive adaptations of digital conveniencies in public communication.
식품에서 대장균군을 효율적으로 분리하기 위해 대장균군 선택배지 5종: Chromocult Chromocult coliform agar (Merck), Hicrome coliform agar (Sigma), CHROMagar ECC, Brilliance E.coli/coliform medium (OXOID), endo agar (Merck)을 선별하여 식품 분리 대장균군 83종 및 표준균주 21종에 대해서 민감도와 특이도를 분석한 결과 Chromocult coliform agar와 HICrome coliform agar에서 94%도 민감도가 가장 높았으며, Brilliance E.coli/coliform medium는 93%, CHROMagar ECC는 92%, ENDO agar는 74%의 민감도를 나타냈다. Chromocult coliform agar와 HICrome coliform agar는 대장균군의 회수율도 높았다. 그러므로 Chromocult coliform agar와 HICrome coliform agar는 대장균군을 분리하는데 가장 효율적인 배지로 생각된다.
Vibrio 속에 속한 세균에 의한 식중독은 오염된 해산물식품의 섭취로 인하여 빈번하게 발생하고 있다. 그러므로 해산물을 날것으로 섭취하는 한국인의 특성을 고려할 때, 빠르고 정확한 Vibrio 검출기술은 식품위생 및 공중보건의 측면에서 매우 중요하다. 이와 관련하여 본 연구에서는 전통적인 배지를 이용한 동정방법의 단점을 보완할 수 있는 생화학적 방법인 Vitek 2 system방법과 분자생물학적 방법인 species-specific PCR 방법을 사용하여 얻은 동정결과를 비교·평가하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 5개의 Vibrio 표준균주와 16S rRNA gene sequencing 결과에 의하여 Vibrio 속으로 확인된 24개의 분리균주가 이용되었다. Vitek 2 system방법을 이용한 경우, 이와 같이 본 연구에 사용된 29개 균주 중 Vibrio 표준균주 2개(2/5, 40%), 16S rRNAgene sequencing 결과 Vibrio 속으로 확인된 분리균주 15개(15/24, 62.5%) 등의 총 17개 균주(17/29, 58.6%)가 Vibrio 종으로 동정되었다. 그리고 species-specific PCR방법을 이용한 경우, 위의 29개 균주 중 Vibrio 표준균주 5개(5/5, 100%), 16S rRNA gene sequencing 결과 Vibrio 속으로 확인된 분리균주 16개(16/24, 66.7%) 등의 총 21개 균주(21/29, 72.5%)가 Vibrio 종으로 동정되었다. Vitek 2 system방법과 species-specific PCR방법을 이용하여 동정된 결과를 비교하였을 때 표준균주 중 V. parahaemolyticus, V. mimicus등의 2개(2/5, 40%), 새우분리균주 24개 중에서 16S rRNAgene sequencing 결과 Vibrio 속으로 확인된 분리균주 7개(7/24, 29.2%) 등의 총 9개(9/29, 31%) 균주들에 대한 동정결과만이 일치하였다.
Lee, Jinsung. 2014. A Study of College Students' Malpractice in Korean Orthography: a Follow-up Study with a Special Emphasis on the Influence of Chatting Language. The Sociolinguistic Journal of Korea 22(3). This study is a follow-up study of Lee's(2001) “A study of malpractice of orthography among Korean college students-with a special emphasis on the influence of chatting language”. Within the similar research framework, Some malpractice of orthography in current college students' essays were compared with those of Lee's. The aim of this study, therefore, is to find out how, in what aspects and extents, the influence of chatting language on formal written language has manifested different characteristics after a span of 13 years. Regardless of the drastically increased use of chatting language these days, most of its characterizing features were found to be significantly declined in current students' essays, compared with Lee's(2001). Expressions or vocabularies mainly suitable for spoken colloquial language, however, were observed to be adopted much more frequently and freely in formal written essays. This study additionally investigated the Korean orthography rules on separating words, which were not dealt in Lee's. Violations relating to separating words were found to be seriously grave, which can be considered as a direct negative influence of general writing practice of chatting language, where the rules are routinely ignored chiefly for the economy of space and time.
Lee Jin-sung. 2013. Writing Practice of English Chatting Language and its Different Communication Strategies from That of Korean. The Sociolinguistic Journal of Korea 21(3). The purpose of this study is to introduce writing practice of English chatting language, especially focusing on that of text messages. It also discusses different communication strategies of English chatting language from that of Korean. The two characteristic features of text message writing are presented as a violation of conventional writing practice and various manners of shorthand writings. As for shorthand writings, initialisms, vowel omission, clippings, ideograms, pictograms, and phonetic spellings are dealt, together with their functional perspectives. The communication strategies of English chatting language were found to be reflected only on various shorthand writing practice which depicts the degree of formality but manifests lack of articulating detailed emotion or conversational keys. The communication strategies of Korean chatting language, on the other hand, were found to be able to demonstrate various conversational keys with the help of novel inflectional mutation, shortening, syllable extension, consonant addition or with adoption of regional dialects. While English chatting language is associated with positive influence on literacy, vocabulary, and phonological awareness among children as well as adults, Korean chatting language seems to have somewhat negative influence on standard written language and orthography. Lee Jin-sung. 2012. A Study of English Neologisms with Some Comparing Notes on Korean Neologisms. The Sociolinguistic Journal of Korea 20(2). pp. 367-400. This study examines how English is reflecting the changing society on neologisms, and how the language and the society is interwoven in neologisms of English. It also investigates English neologisms from the perspective of morphological formation and semantic change. In doing this Korean neologisms are partly dealt with comparatively to bring out the contrastive characters of the two languages. From the sociolinguistic point of view, the data were classified into three categories: society, life style, and people. These were further subdivided into several areas: general affairs, economics, IT new jobs, new technology under the category of society; language, daily lives, leisure, health, food, and apparel under the life style; men and women, men, women, youngsters and the olds under the people. It was found that the categorial classifications of neologisms reveals how social change is reflected on neologisms of each language, and also discloses the way the two languages enrich their expressive power. From the perspective of morphological formation and semantic change, the English data were classified into compounds, new words, verbal phrases, and independent expressions. The compounds were subdivided into simple compounds and compounds within compounds to diagnose the degree of recursive character in English. In the category of new words, the followings were investigated: affixations, blendings, abbreviations, acronyms, euphemisms, semantic shifts, foreign languages, functional shifts, coinages and clippings. The distribution of neologisms in regard to their parts of speech was also examined. In comparing notes of the two languages, thefollowings are provided: first, sociocultural character reflected on neologisms; second, the frequencies and characterizations of neologisms from morphological perspectives; third, the distribution of parts of speech.
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the different attitudes depicted in TV cosmetic ad texts for women and men. It will also probe the way women and men are identified in these ads. Based on 112 women's, and 56 of men's ad texts, we examine their sentence patterns, persuading strategies, high frequency words, and red flag expressions. Interrogative forms were preferred in women's ads, probably to reinforce solidarity, while imperative forms were preferred in men's ads, suggesting men prefer forceful approach. Women's ads used far more honorific forms revealing typical character of women's language. In persuading strategies, [explanation of the products] were mainly adopted in women's ads, while [women's recognition] was highly valued in men. For frequency words, it was ‘skin' which was the most frequently used in women's ads, while it was ‘man' in men's ads. In both women's and men's, foreign words were alarmingly adopted in red flag expressions. Exaggeration, deception, and provocation were used much more in women's ads than men's, probably due to the fact that women's ads emphasize explanation of the products' function or effect. In men's ads, a vulgarism marked the most, which might have been adopted to strengthen the solidarity between men.
Recently, indoor air quality (IAQ) in workplace, residence, and schools has been one of the major concerns of people, scientists and the related public. This study was performed to investigate the characteristics of indoor air quality(IAQ) in kindergartens, elementary school, middle schools, and high schools from June 2004 to May 2005 in Korea. We measured indoor air pollutants such as PM10, CO2, formaldehyde, total bacteria colony(TBC), CO, radon, total volatile organic compounds(TVOCs), asbestos, and O3 from school classrooms. The subjects were classified by building year based on the time span of 1, 1 - 3, 3 - 5, and 5 - 10 years. The levels of pollutants and physical factor in schools were compared with standards and guidelines of indoor air quality on the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and the Ministry of Education, and Human Resources Development of Korea. The major results obtained from this study can be summarized as follows. Asbestos and O3 were not detected in all surveyed classrooms. However, we were able to detect CO, TBC, TVOCs, and formaldehyde in kindergartens, TBC in elementary schools, TBC, TVOCs and formaldehyde in middle schools, and formaldehyde in high schools. This study was conducted to provide a basis for the management IAQ in school. Therefore, we suggest that a national plan for the management of IAQ in school should be established through a long-term, continuous investigation for the proper assessment of IAQ in school and for the health risk assessment for student.
본 연구에서는 현재 농가에서 일대잡종으로 보급되고 있는 장려누에품종 원종 잠 113 등 20계통에 대해서 RAPD-PRC방법을 이용하여 누에 품봉간 유전적 유연관계를 분석, 검토하였다. 그 결과 공시한 26개의 primer중 24개의 primer에서 다형화 밴드패턴의 마커가 확인되어, 이들 마커를 UPGMA법에 의해 분석하였다. 그 결과, 유전적 유연계수 0.60을 기준으로 하였을 때 2개의 group으로 나눌 수 있었는데 제1group에는 잠113, 잠119, 잠120, 잠123, 잠125와 잠127로서 중국종계잠 120을 제외하고는 모두 일본종계 품종이 포함되어 있었으며, 제 2group은 잠114, 잠121, 잠122, 잠124, 잠126, 잠128, 잠129, 잠130, 잠131, 잠132, 잠133, 잠134, 잠 301과 잠 302로서 일본종계 5품종 중국종계 9품종이 포함되었다. 또한, 잠 114와 잠 120 및 잠114와 잠 127은 유전거리가 다른 품종에 비해서 가장 낮게 분석되었으며, 잠 129와 잠 131은 유전적 유연계수가 1.0으로 두 품종간에는 유전적 유사도가 아주 높았다.
RAPD-PCR(Random Amplified Polymorphic DNAs-Polymerase Chain Reation) 기법에 누에의 유전적 변이 분석을 위한 첫 단계로 다양한 GC함량을 갖는 random primer에 의해서 증폭되는 DNA 단편의 양상 및 증폭도를 비교하였다. RAPD-PCR을 위한 random primer의 증폭도는 GC함량에 의해서 상당히 영향을 받음이 분석되었다. 특히, 50% GC 함량을 갖는 primer는 그 증폭도에 따라서 4가지의 그룹으로 DNA단편이 증폭되었으며 〔bad amplification (75.5%), poor amplification (11.1%), good and excellent amplification(11.1%)〕, primer의 GC 함량이 증가할수록, 휠씬 더 좋은 증폭도를 보여주었다. 그러나, 40% GC 함량을 갖는 primer에 의해서는 어떤 증폭산물도 관찰되지 않았다. PCR을 수행하기 전에 6가지의 제한효소(BamHI, HindIII, Xbal, HaeIII, MspI, Rsal)를 사용하여 누에 genomic DNA를 처리하여 이를 주형 DNA로 하여 RAPD-PCR을 수행한 결과, 유전적 마커의 생산에 대한 효율이 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 볼 때 60%이상의 GC함량을 갖는 random primer와 전처리한 주형 DNA의 사용은 여러 가지 다른 누에 계통의 동정 및 연관군 지도작성에 따른 경비 및 시간을 줄이는데 효율적이라고 사료된다.
