        In a steam turbine system for nuclear power plant, the exhaust loss consists of leaving loss, hood loss, turn-up loss and restriction loss. The exhaust loss during rated power operation of steam turbine equipment is inevitable, but it can be optimized by several factors such as last stage blade length, condenser vacuum and steam velocity. In this paper the relationship between the exhaust loss and electrical output of domestic nuclear power plants was quantitatively evaluated, and ways to reduce this loss were considered.

        Failure to comply with the performance test requirements for the centrifugal pumps at power plants often results in performance dissatisfaction as a result of field tests. This study proposed a method of reducing the uncertainty of the field test results by evaluating the systematic error in the measurement system caused by failure to follow the test requirements using the computational fluid dynamics(CFD) technique. As a result of the evaluation of the systematic error and reflecting it in the performance test data, it was confirmed that the error occurred at a constant rate with respect to the flowrate and that the pump, which showed a difference in performance actually had the same performance.

        The change in pressure measurement according to the low pressure tap blockage rate of the Venturi flowmeter used in domestic nuclear power plants was approached numerically. Blockage rates were modeled dividing by 1/10dT to the downstream side of the low pressure tab to identify differential pressure changes. As a result, differential pressure increased in proportion to the blockage rate, and there was no change in differential pressure measurement at 10 to 40 percent with relatively small blockage rate, but the error rate of 50% to 0.3% or higher was shown.

        Load carrying capacity(LCC) can be reduced from its design value as a result of film thickness change when a journal is misaligned and some part of bearing is unintentionally translated. In this study, the numerical solution of the incompressible Reynolds equation was obtained by using the finite difference method and mass conservation algorithm (JFO boundary condition) with periodic pressure distribution in circumferential direction to analyze the change of LCC due to journal misalignment and step change of film thickness in axial direction for a journal bearing of vertical pumps. Smallest LCC in each eccentricity ratio is obtained as two angular positions are changed – an angular position where misalignment occurs, and another angular position where the axial step takes place while the degree of misalignment is fixed at 90%. Compared with the reaction force of plain journal bearing, the LCC reduced as much as 26.7% due to geometric effects of journal bearing at the eccentricity ratio of 0.9, while the step height is no higher than 0.1 times of bearing clearance.

        This study developed the pressure measurement monitoring system named VIP-2000 for monitoring a pressure of ullage space in cargo tank. VIP-2000 is designed in compliance with IMO(international maritime organization) SOLAS 74, Chap. II-2 Req. 59. IMO is providing the establishment of a pressure measurement equipment for secure the stability from vacuum or the overpressure that caused by in breakdown of the P/V valve. VIP-2000 operates the early warning of the visible and audibility in dangerous situation of cargo tank. In order to evaluate the performance of VIP-2000, the pressure measurement experiments have been conducted.

        느타리버섯 재배시 발생하는 버섯파리를 효과적으로 방제하고자 사용된 4종의 약제는 chlorpyrifos, methidathion, cyhalothrin, cypermethrin이며, 버섯파리방제용 살충제로서 농약 안전사용측면에서 가장 추천할 만한 약제는 methidathion으로 구명되었다. 포장조건 단계와 세척 단계, 데치기 단계를 통한 각기 다른 방법에 의한 잔류량 변화 추이 는 데치기 > 세척 > 포장조건 순으로 잔류량에 차이를 보였으며, 포장조건 보다는 세척 단계에서 16∼31%정도 잔류량이 감소하였으며, 데치기 단계에서는 31∼48%가 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 포장조건과 세척, 데치기 등과 같은 처리방법에 따 른 약제의 처리수준별 반감기는 chlorpyrifos 기준량(1000배액)은 0.7∼0.8일, 배량(500배액)은 1.2∼1.5일, methidathion 기준 량은 0.5∼0.6일, 배량은 0.4∼0.5일, cyhalothrin 기준량은 1.2∼1.6일, 배량은 2.2∼2.4일, cypermethrin 기준량은 1.1∼1.5일, 배량은 1.6∼2.0로 나타났다. 기준량과 배량으로 처리한 약제에서는 반감기가 비슷한 methidathion을 제외하고는 저농도인 기준량이 잔류농약의 감소속도가 더 빠르게 진행하여 반감기가 고농도보다 짧아지 는 것으로 나타났다. 포장 조건하에서 약제살포 후 느타리버섯에 대한 농약 잔류량을 잔류허용기준(MRL)이하로 관리하 기 위해서는 chlorpyrifos는 기준량 처리 후 6일에 수확하는 것이 바람직하며, 배량 살포의 경우 7일 후에도 잔류허용기준 이하로는 분해가 되지 않은 것으로 나타나 권장량 이상의 살포는 바람직하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. Methidathion은 기준 량 처리구는 2일, 배량 처리구는 3일 이후 수확이 바람직한 것으로 나타났고, cyhalothrin은 기준량과 배량 처리구 모두 1 일 이후 수확이 바람직하나 미량이나마 6∼7일째까지 농약이 잔류됨을 알 수 있다.

        This study developed a surveillance robot for a ship. The developed robot consists of ultrasonic sensors, an actuator, a lighting fixture and a camera. The ultrasonic sensors are used to avoid collision with obstacles in the environment. The actuator is a servo motor system. The developed robot has four drive wheels for driving. The lighting fixture is used to guide the robot in a dark environment. To transmit an image, a camera with a pan moving and a tilt moving is equipped on the upper part of the robot. AdaBoost algorithm trained with 15 features, is used for face recognition. In order to evaluate the face recognition of the developed robot, experiments were performed.
