        Self Organizing Map (SOM) is a neural network that is effective in classifying patterns that form the feature map by extracting characteristics of the input data. In this study, we propose an algorithm to determine the cell formation and the machine layout within the cell for the cell formation problem with operation sequence using the SOM. In the proposed algorithm, the output layer of the SOM is a one-dimensional structure, and the SOM is applied to the parts and the machine in two steps. The initial cell is formed when the formed clusters is grouped largely by the utilization of the machine within the cell. At this stage, machine cell are formed. The next step is to create a flow matrix of the all machine that calculates the frequency of consecutive forward movement for the machine. The machine layout order in each machine cell is determined based on this flow matrix so that the machine operation sequence is most reflected. The final step is to optimize the overall machine and parts to increase machine layout efficiency. As a result, the final cell is formed and the machine layout within the cell is determined. The proposed algorithm was tested on well-known cell formation problems with operation sequence shown in previous papers. The proposed algorithm has better performance than the other algorithms.

        본 논문의 목적은 청매인오(1548~1623)의 선사상의 특징과 그 시적 표현을 살펴보는데 있다. 청매선사는 청허 휴정의 걸출한 제자로 임진 왜란 때에는 의승장으로 출전하여 큰 공을 세웠으며, 그 후 지리산의 여러 수행처에서 ‘청매문파’를 열어 선풍을 크게 떨쳤다. 선교(禪敎)와 유교, 그리고 도교에도 해박한 학식을 지녔던 그는 청빈한 삶을 살았다. 특히, 그는 조사의 공안법문을 노래하고 성성적적한 수행과 깨달음을 노래한『청매집』을 남겼다. 여기에는 송고시 148편과 선심을 담아낸 163편의 시가 실려 있다. 이러한 시편들은 마음이 모든 것의 근본임을 인식하고, 지관(止觀)수행을 통해 자성(自性)을 찾고자 한 청매선사의 올곧은 수행 삶의 흔적을 잘 담아내고 있다. 이 글에서는 청매선사의 출가와 구도, 깨달음과 자연 교감, 조사공안 법문과 수행자들에 대한 경책과 교화, 그리고 임진왜란과 관련한 시편들을 통해 그의 선심이 어떻게 시문학에 투영되어 있는지를 구체적으로 살펴보고자 한다.

        This study is focused on effects of factors that affect the formation of THMs during chlorination in drinking water treatment. During the chlorination, chlorine consumption is increased by increasing the initial chlorine dose, the pH and the total dissolved solid (TDS) concentration. Also THMs formation is increased up to 58.82 μg/L and 55.54 μg/L by increasing initial chlorine concentration and increasing pH. However, concentration of chloroform is decreased by increasing TDS concentration. This is caused the cation(Na+) of the total dissolved solids preferentially reacts with the functional groups of the organic material which influence the trihalomethane formation. But total trihalomethane formation is increased up to 127.46 μg/L by Br- contained in the total dissolved solids. DOC reduction was not influenced by any of the factors.

        Copper electroplating and electrode patterning using a screen printer are applied instead of lithography for heterostructure with intrinsic thin layer(HIT) silicon solar cells. Samples are patterned on an indium tin oxide(ITO) layer using polymer resist printing. After polymer resist patterning, a Ni seed layer is deposited by sputtering. A Cu electrode is electroplated in a Cu bath consisting of Cu2SO4 and H2SO4 at a current density of 10 mA/cm2. Copper electroplating electrodes using a screen printer are successfully implemented to a line width of about 80 μm. The contact resistance of the copper electrode is 0.89 mΩ·cm2, measured using the transmission line method(TLM), and the sheet resistance of the copper electrode and ITO are 1 Ω/□ and 40 Ω/□, respectively. In this paper, a screen printer is used to form a solar cell electrode pattern, and a copper electrode is formed by electroplating instead of using a silver electrode to fabricate an efficient solar cell electrode at low cost.

        Insect cuticle or exoskeleton is a complex extracellular matrix formed primarily from structural polysaccharide chitin and protein, and it plays a critical role in protecting them from various environmental stresses and pathogenic infection. Despite of limited composition, insect cuticle has remarkably diverse mechanical properties, ranging from soft and flexible to hard and rigid. My research has been focusing on functional importance of the genes involved in chitin metabolism and cuticle tanning (sclerotization and pigmentation) to comprehensively understand the genetic, enzymatic as well as molecular mechanism underlying differentiation, development and formation of insect cuticular extracellular matrices.

        Coccidae is one of the major families of scale insects, with many species considered to be serious agricultural or horticultural pests. However, the phylogenetic relationships among coccid subfamilies, tribes and genera are poorly understood because the previous hypotheses are based only on morphological characters and cladistic analysis. Here, we present the first molecular phylogeny of the family based on DNA fragments of a mitochondrial gene (COI), nuclear ribosomal RNA genes (18S and 28S), and elongation factor-1α (EF-1α). We recover a monophyletic family Coccidae with strong support. However, some genera (Coccus and Pulvinaria), tribes (Coccini, Paralecaniini, Pulvinariini and Saissetiini) and subfamilies (Coccinae and Filippiinae) within the family found to be paraphyletic- or polyphyletic. Moreover, particular types of wax formation, which have been used as important taxonomic characters in Coccidae, were found in several unrelated taxa.

        통합과 포용력이 사회의 주요한 이슈로 부각되면서, 사회적 약자인 노년층과 저소득 계층의 여가 활동을 충족시키는 도시계획시설에 대한 역할이 주목받고 있다. 본 연구는 노원구 △△영구임대주택 거주민을 대상으로 옥외활동 시설에 대한 이용 실태와 주요 공간 이용에 따른 사회적 관계망 형성 효과를 분석하였다. 분석은 빈도, t-분석 그리고 사회연결망 분석 방법을 활용하였다. 분석결과, 단지 내 공간 및 시설이용 빈도는 복지관(36.9%), 나팔공원(17.9%), 텃밭(10.2%)의 순으로 나타났으며, 1인이 교류하는 이웃의 수는 텃밭(13.44명), 나팔공원(6.47명), 복지관(5.13명) 이용자의 순으로 나타났다. 특히, 텃밭 이용자는 이웃 간 교류의 범위가 가장 넓게 나타났으며, 다양한 그룹을 통해 정보의 교류가 활발히 일어나고 있었다. 관계의 질적 수준 역시 일반적인 교류의 수준을 넘어 정보 교류 및 문제 발생 시 적극적으로 도움을 주고받는 상호 부조의 관계를 유지하는 것으로 확인되었다. 반면 산책, 휴식, 운동 등의 여가 활동이 이루어지는 나팔공원과 교육 활동이 제공되는 복지관의 경우 이용자들 간 교류의 범위가 좁고 집중화된 정도가 소수 그룹에 한정되었다. 본 연구는 영구임대주택에 거주하는 취약계층을 대상으로 주민들의 자발적인 교류와 지속적인 옥외활동을 촉진하는 공간 및 시설에 대한 사회적 기능을 밝혔다는데 의의가 있다.

        Dual porous structures are observed for the first time on a metallic Cu surface underneath anodic Cu oxide by the application of an anodizing voltage to Cu in oxalic acid. The as-prepared porous Cu surface contains macropores of less than 1 μm diameter and mesopores of about tens of nanometers diameter with circular shapes. The size and density (number of pores/area) of the macropores are dependent on the applied voltage. It is likely that the localized dissolution (corrosion) of Cu in oxalic acid under the anodizing voltages is responsible for the formation of the mesopores, and the combination of a number of the mesopores might create the macropores, especially under a relatively high anodizing voltages or a prolonged anodizing time. The variations of pore structure (especailly macropores) with applied voltage and time are reasonably explained on the basis of the proposed mechanism of pore formation.

        이 연구는 사구 고정 구조물의 종류에 따라서 모래 퇴적속도, 형태, 퇴적량을 분석하여 해안복원 기초자료로 제공하기 위하여 수행되었다. 연구 대상지는 경상북도 포항시 북구 해안림이 조성된 해변 지역을 선정하였다. 계단식 옹벽과 퇴사울타리 설치 후 3년간(2014-2016) 모래퇴적을 모니터링하여 비교 분석하였다. 각 구조물의 모래퇴적을 분석한 결과, 평균 모래퇴적 높이는 계단식 옹벽이 퇴사울타리 보다 약 1.3배 더 퇴적되었다. 구조물의 풍속저감 효과는 0.5m 높이에서 계단식 옹벽이 43.3%, 퇴사울타리 32.2%로 나타났다. 이 연구의 결과는 앞으로 해안사구 조성 및 해안림 기반 조성의 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

        Polo-like kinase 1 (Plk1) has been known to be a critical element in cell division including centrosome maturation, cytokinesis and spindle formation in somatic, cancer, and mammalian embryonic cells. In particular, Plk1 is highly expressed in cancer cells. Plk1 inhibitors, such as BI2536, have been widely used to prevent cell division as an anticancer drug. In this study, the fertilized murine oocytes were treated with BI2536 for 30 min after recovery from the oviduct to investigate the effect of down-regulation of Plk1 in the in vivo-fertilized murine embryos. Then, the localization and expression of Plk1 was observed by immunofluorescence staining. The sperm which had entered into the oocyte cytoplasm did not form male pronuclei in BI2536-treated oocytes. The BI2536-treated oocytes showed significantly lower expression of Plk1 than non-treated control group. In addition, alpha-tubulin and Plk1 gathered around sperm head in non-treated oocytes, while BI2536-treated oocytes did not show this phenomenon. The present study demonstrates that the Plk1 inhibitor, BI2536, hinders fertilization by inhibiting the formation of murine male pronucleus

        Quorum sensing (QS) is a cell density-dependent communication mechanism between bacteria through small signaling molecules. When the number of QS signaling molecules reaches a threshold, they are transported back into the cells or recognized by membrane-bound receptors, triggering gene expression which affects various phenotypes including bioluminescence, virulence, adhesion, and biofilm formation. These phenotypes are beneficial for bacterial survival in harsh environments. This review summarizes the application of QS inhibitors for control of biofilm formation and virulence expression of periodontal pathogens.

        Low-mass star-formation studies deal with the birth of individual solar-type stars as it occurs in nearby molecular clouds. While this isolated mode of star formation may not represent the most common form of stellar birth, its study often provides rst evidence for the general ingredients of star formation, such as gravitational infall, disk formation, or out ow acceleration. Here I brie y review the current status and the main challenges in our understanding of low-mass star formation, with emphasis in the still mysterious pre-stellar phase. In addition to presenting by-now classical work, I also show how ALMA is starting to play a decisive role driving progress in this eld.

        The Kazak honorific system has been described to consist of a number of second person forms and terms of address. In addition to these core honorific expressions, however, my recent study of spoken Kazak in the Chinese Altai reveals that there are many other politeness features — both linguistic and non-linguistic — that constitute a loosely integrated honorific register system. They include grammatical distinctions (e.g., singular/plural, past/perfect, confirmative/non-confirmative), lexical distinctions (e.g., Chinese titles/Kazak kin terms), prosody (e.g., loud/quiet, fast/slow), as well as non-linguistic features (e.g., smoking/ non-smoking, male facial hair grown/removed, serving of black tea/milk tea). This paper describes these “non-core” expressions and the semiotic processes in which they, together with the core expressions, form a dichotomous system of contrast between plain and honorific registers.

        A novel, unique, and effective method for carbon nanotube (CNT) dispersion by the free arc stimulation is proposed. CNTs are introduced as an aerogel into the air space via the dispersion method and can be utilized as a solution by adding it to solvents. The volume of the original generated CNT aerogel with a high-volume expansion ratio displays a performance two orders of magnitudes better than that of raw CNTs, which is considered a powerful characterization of the dispersion effect. The CNT aerogel, which was observed by scanning electron microscopy also showed a satisfactory dispersion morphology. Its structure and properties were tested before and after dispersion by Raman spectroscopy and great consistency was observed, which proved that the CNTs were undamaged. This approach may greatly promote the large-scale application of CNTs.
