        마늘 유기재배에서 마늘 잎마름병에 대한 친환경방제제의 방제효과를 조사하였다. 56종의 친환경방제제를 대상으로 Stemphylium botryosum 포자 발아억제시험을 96 well plate에서 실시하여 그중에서 구리화합물제제, 식물추출물제제, 황화합물제제, 황·탄산나트륨제제 그리고 키토산액 등 5종을 선발하여 2012년과 2013년에 걸쳐서 마늘재배포장에서 잎마름병 방제효과와 마늘생육에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 2012년 시험에서 방제효과가 우수한 구리화합물제제와 키토산제제를 대상으로 2013년에 다시 잎마름병 방제효과를 조사한 결과 화학약제인 안트라콜의 방제가에 대비하여 각각 54%와 90%의 방제효과가 나타났으며 무처리에 대비하여 16%와 34%의 수량성 향상효과가 나타났다. 구리화합물제제와 키토산제제로 잎마름병 방제시 화학약제 방제에 대비하여 상품화 가능한 마늘은 각각 79%와 93%였으며 무처리에 대비할 경우 수량이 각각 16%와 34% 증가하였다. 이러한 결과로 키토산액은 마늘 잎마름병 방제용 친환경제제로 활용될 가능성이 높은 친환경제제임을 확인할 수 있었다.

        서양금혼초의 군락 형성에 따른 경쟁적 우세원인을 규명하고 친환경농자재 개발을 위한 기초자료로 제공하고자 생육특성과 Allelopathy 효과를 알아보았다. 서양금혼초의 생육특성은 예초지역과 비예초지역간의 묘조(苗條) 수, 지상부 직경과 화주 수를 비교한 결과 예초지역의 묘조(苗條) 수, 지상부의 직경과 화주수가 비예초지역보다 높은 것으로 조사되었고, 서양금혼초의 수용성 추출액에 대한 레드클로버(Trifolium pratense), 들묵새(Festuca myuros), 도깨비바늘(Bidens bipinnata) 등 실험식물 14종 대해 발아와 생장 실험 결과 일반적으로 수용성 추출액의 농도가 증가함에 따라 검정식물의 발아율, 유식물의 뿌리털, shoot, root의 생장이 억제되었고 검정식물의 종류와 부위에 따라 억제정도에 있어서 차이를 보였다. 또한 서양금혼초의 수용성 추출액에 대한 실험곰팡이의 생장에 있어서는 Pythium속, Phytophthora속은 수용성 추출액의 농도가 높아짐에 따라 성장이 억제되는 경향을 보인 반면, Rhizoctonia속인 경우에는 농도가 높아짐에 따라 생장억제 현상이 뚜렷하지 않았다. 이와 같은 결과를 종합하여 보면 서양금혼초의 예초는 서양금혼초의 Split현상을 유도하여 더 많은 영양번식과 종자번식을 일으켜 군락을 형성하고, 서양금혼초에 함유된 allelochemicals에 의해 타 식물체의 발아와 생장, 미생물의 생장 등에 관여하기 때문에 제주도내 생태계에서 경쟁적 우위를 점하고 있으며, 친환경농자재로서의 활용 가능성이 있는 것으로 판단되었다.

        정화토양 RSA(remediated soil A)와 RSB(remediated soil B)의 토양 특성을 조사한 결과, 사질양토로서 작물 별 토양 특성 권장 기준에 적정 토성이지만, 높은 토양 pH와 치환성 칼슘, 다소 낮은 양이온치환용량(cation exchange capacity, CEC)과 치환성 칼륨, 매우 낮은 토양유기물 함량과 유효인산 함량을 보여 작물 생육에 적합하지 않은 것으로 판단되었다. 그러나, 친환경농자재인 부산물비료, charcoal, biochar를 토양개량제로 처리 후 토양 특성이 수준 이상의 개선을 보여준 것으로 보인다. 토양 pH 경감 효과는 볼 수 없었으나, 토양유기물 함량 증가, 유효인산 함량 증가 등의 효과가 있었으며, 총질소(total nitrogen, T-N)와 치환성 칼륨의 함량이 다소 증가하였다. 그리고, 치환성 칼슘의 함량이 작물 별 권장 기준 이상으로 높은 것을 감안하였을 때 biochar 처리구에서 치환성 칼슘 함량을 감소시킨바, 지속적인 연구 또한 필요할 것으로 판단된다. 이는 토양경작법에 의하여 정화된 토양에 대하여 부산물비료, charcoal, biochar 등의 친환경농자재를 토양개량제로 사용할 경우 토양 개선 효과가 나타난 것으로 생각되며, 특히 biochar의 경우 토양 특성 변화에 많은 영향을 주었다. 따라서, 정화토양을 지속적으로 유지하고 관리 할 경우 토양의 질을 꾸준히 증진시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

        In order to raise awareness about environmental protection, people are paying more attention now-a-days in reusing wastepaper. As a result, most countries in the world have already made significant progress related to wastepaper recycling technology. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of slow-release nitrogen fertilizer (SRNF) on the growth of radish plants. Wastepaper was deinked by alkaline solution and SRNF was produced from fertilizer impregnated wastepaper, which applied to an experimental plot compared with a urea fertilized plot. The plant height and total chlorophyll content of the radishes were higher while they were treated with SRNF than with urea. Some agronomic and chemical components were also observed and significant differences between the two fertilizers were found. When the soil was treated with SRNF, the pH, organic matter and total nitrogen content were higher than in the soil which was treated with urea.

        The purpose of this study was to develope the environmentally favorable method of roller compacted soil concrete pavement using industrial waste red mud. Red mud was the major solid waste produced in the process of alumina extraction from bauxite(Bayer process). For recycling purpose, red mud was treated and applied to use as concrete admixtures. To this end, laboratory test such as compressive strength of soil concrete, and field test such as construction characteristics of soil concrete pavement, had been conducted. From the study results, the compressive strength of soil concrete was strongly related to its matrix proportion and compaction energy. The optimum mix proportion was comprised of cement 300 kg/m3, water 110 kg/m3, fine aggregate 600 kg/m3, course aggregate 1400 kg/m3, red mud admixture 50 kg/m3 and compaction energy above 2.86 cm-kgf/cm3. The 7th-day and 28th-day mean compressive strength of soil concrete were 43.8 MPa and 53.3 MPa each under the optimum condition. Pavement application of soil concrete using red mud admixture indicated that the proposed method was simple in case of construction and showed a good surface texture.

        본 연구에서는 정수처리 과정에서 발생하는 정수슬러지를 재활용하기 위하여 우리나라 대표지질인 화강풍화토와 다양한 비율로 혼합하여 다양한 실내시험을 통한 친환경 지반을 개발하고자 하였다. 또한 해양오염 및 해양사고의 원인인 폐어망을 지반보강재로 활용하고자 그 보강효과를 알아보았다. 다짐시험, 삼축압축시험, 투수시험 및 용출시험과 같은 다양한 실내시험이 수행되었다. 시험 결과 정수슬러지의 함량은 혼합토의 단위중량, 최적함수비, 전단강도정수, 투수계수 및 중금속 용출 특성에 중요한 영향을 미치는 인자로 평가되었다. 또한 폐어망의 보강으로 인해 혼합토의 점착력 및 내부마찰각은 증가하는 것으로 나타났다.

        For the purpose of development of an environmentally friendly aqueous cleanser, some experimental researches on emulsification of D-limonene were performed. OA series surfactants with different molecular weight were adapted as an emulsifier for preparation of O/W emulsion. Cleaning power of aqueous cleanser was measured by a dipping method adapting abietic acid(AA) as a solubilizate. Besides, drop size and drop size distribution, contact angle and storage stability of the aqueous cleansers were also measured and relationships among them were examined. Decrease in molecular weight of surfactant induced small drop size and contact angle, resulting in high cleaning power of aqueous cleanser. Aqueous cleanser consisted of 3wt.% OA300 and 30wt.% D-limonene showed the highest cleaning power, but displayed unfortunately with low storage stability. The storage stability of the aqueous cleanser with OA300 was significantly enhanced by addition of 0.5wt.% OA600 at the expanse of decrease in cleaning power.

        Because of the toxicity of hexavelant chromium ion, treatments of metallic surface with chromate compounds to retard corrosion are undesirable for safety control in industrial uses and protection of environment. In this study, we investigated several compounds such as inorganic, organic, and polymer materials in order to substitute the chromate conversion treatment on steel sheet. The corrosion property was investigated in a salt spray tester with 3.5 wt.% NaCl at 35℃. The results showed that the zirconium/silane/polymer triple coatings on the galvanized steel exhibited a significant retardation of corrosion. Although the multicoating system needs a complexed processing, we can confirm a possibility of development of a chromate-free chemical conversion treatment for galvanized steel sheet.

        Waterborne fluorinated acrylate copolymer (WFAC) for surface modification of textile was synthesized from perfluoroalkyl ethyl acrylate, octadecyl acrylate, glycidyl methacrylate, surfactant and 3,3 methyl-methoxy butanol. The structures of the synthesized WFAC were determinated by FT-IR and 19F-NMR analysis. The thermal stability investigated with DSC and TGA was decreased with increasing the content of fluorinated acrylate in the copolymer. However, the particle sizes of WFAC were increased with increasing the content of fluorinated acrylate in the copolymer. The surface energies calculated by contact angles of WFAC were in the range of 29.80~13.41 dyne/cm. On the observing SEM of the textile surface treated with WFAC, the textile was swollen and compacted with increasing the concentration of water repellency agent. WFAC synthesized in this study showed a good water repellency.

        This study focuses on importance level analysis of environmentally-friendly planning factors using Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). This study verify different planning principle makes comparison matrix by a relative comparison value, verified consistency after yield weight to analyze more objective importance for apartment complex estate environmentally-friendly planning factor. In order to decide importance of apartment complex estate environmentally-friendly planning factors multiplying weight of verified planning principle with weight of planning factors. The results are as follows; First, importance of preservation of green tract of lands, Preparation of Biotop, Tree planting of sites, Propriety of development density high except Ciculation and practical use of water. Next, valued planning factors constituent appeared to Energy efficient building plan, Rubbish recycling, thermal utilization of solar energy, Artificial tree planting of buildings etc. importantly. Finally, plan constituent that importance is underrated most appeared by Practical use of building meterials and equipment, Centralization of energy and resources, Preservation of corridor etc.

        The concept of sustainable development in rural area, which is focused on both preservation of nature and human's amenity, has been common paradigm. The purpose of this study is to suggest the development directions for the environmentally friendly rural house. The planning items for developing sustainable rural house were selected through literature survey, case study, and their adaptation evaluation. The establishment of principles and the evaluation of planning items were analyzed by a survey to experts. The results are as follows : 1) It is showed that sustainability evaluation of rural village is rated as above the moderate degree, but rural house is rated as 3.4(average score). Especially, there were lowly evaluated the utility, material, structure and inner environment in rural house. 2) It is revealed that 76.7% of planning items are located in both the upper left and upper right hand quadrant of the action grid, which is drawn by the importance-performance analysis(IPA). And any item is not found in the lower right hand quadrant(Possible Overkill). 3) Two basic principles and eight optional principles we identified by analysis of factor and regression. The rural zone is identified as major effective element for applying planning items into the rural house development. So it is desirable to apply the items differently by the rural zone type. 4) In view of sustainable development, it is desirable for rural village to have about 50 houses, and for rural house to have 155~180 pyung(坪) as lot size, 30% as ratio of building, and 60% as building volume.

        This study was carried out to identify the problems and policy alternatives for the improvement of living conditions and environmentally friendly agriculture. The results of surveys on the current situations of living conditions in the rural areas revealed that the main cause of depopulation in Korean rural villages was the lack of social infrastructure and income sources. The current government policies for agriculture geared mainly for improvement of international comparative competitiveness will result in the further disadvantage against the mountainous regions with marginal agricultural lands. Therefore, it is recommended that the agricultural policy should be complemented by the environmental and social policies in the less favoured areas. This can be justified by the fact that the demand for environmental public goods such as recreational opportunities in rural settings uncontaminated by the industrial wastes is growing.
