        This paper suggests a specific model that could efficiently improve the interaction and the interface between WMS(Warehouse Management System) terminal and PDA terminal through real time processing in manufacturing shop. The proposed model shows that the new method can more efficiently perform to reduce processing time for shipping and receiving, compared with the current approach. As a result of the certain test among the main server, WMS system, and PDA terminal, it is noted in case of the new proposed system that the effects of proposed model are as follows: (a) While the receiving lead time for carrying by the current method was 2 hours, the receiving lead time by the new method was 20 minutes. (b) While the shipping lead time for carrying by the current method was 1 hours, the shipping lead time by the new method was 15 minutes. (c) While the inventory rate of accuracy by the current method was 85%, the inventory rate of accuracy by the new method was 98%.

        In this paper, we investigate the statistical correlation of the time series for temperature measured at the heat box in the automobile drying process. We show, in terms of the sample variance, that a significant non-linear correlation exists in the time series that consist of absolute temperature changes. To investigate further the non-linear correlation, we utilize the volatility, an important concept in the financial market, and induce volatility time series from absolute temperature changes. We analyze the time series of volatilities in terms of the de-trended fluctuation analysis (DFA), a method especially suitable for testing the long-range correlation of non-stationary data, from the correlation perspective. We uncover that the volatility exhibits a long-range correlation regardless of the window size. We also analyze the cross correlation between two (inlet and outlet) volatility time series to characterize any correlation between the two, and disclose the dependence of the correlation strength on the time lag. These results can contribute as important factors to the modeling of forecasting and management of the heat box’s temperature.

        The automobile manufacture is a typical integrated assembly production that the numerous parts are committed sequentially to the assembly line. In this type of automobile manufacture, WBS (white body storage) and PBS (paint body storage) are operated to adjust the production sequence and to buffer. Starvation (impossibility of production owing to the insufficient supply) or blocking (impossibility of production owing to the over capacity) could occur in some chance, hence, both storages (WBS, PBS) are integrated as a prevention. This system is called integrated storage. In this paper, we suggest the simulation model of ‘WBS-PBS integrated storage’ and methodology of operation considering both ‘Color grouping’ and ‘Option leveling.’

        For zero inventory and mixed assembly production, JIT (Just In Time) production system in Toyota and JIS (Just-In-Sequence) production system in Hyundai motor co. have been proposed. Even though the production systems are popular in automobile production area, many subcontract companies producing part-modules for final production at a parent company suffers from excessive or shortage amount of inventory due to the time gap of production and delivery to the parent company. In this study, we propose an efficient real-time assembly sequence system applying a well-known Pareto method using Paint-In information in painting process and daily production planning information. Based on this system, a production line can estimate the shortage amount of UPH (Units Per Hour) at production line and recovers the amount before operating assembly production in the line. The proposed system provides efficiency on productivity compared with the previous system.

        This paper carried out design in order to reduce the process of asymmetric pinch yoke, one of the important parts which transfer power to wheels through gearing box in automobile steering system. The purpose of the study is to reduce prime costs and strengthen competitiveness by designing the total 8 processes including the up-setting and forging process of the No. 1 as the forging process the current method of production. The process with die stress analysis by using the finite element method have been carried out through new optimal die design. As this study result, it is expected that die life can be secured as excellent material flow and caused by forming load. A prototype has been produced by basis of the analysis result and the reduction of the process was successful. As the unit price is lower than that of the current process, the competitiveness can be expected.

        The wheel is an active area of automobile component design and development. The wheel must be durable enough to tolerate significant loads and harsh environment. Temporary tire substituted for spare tire is made in a half band wheel size. Therefore this temporary tire is carried out lightweight and fuel saving of automobile. In this research, structural analysis and fatigue analysis of the temporary steel wheel are carried out using ANSYS 3D-modeling. The model is verified by the equivalent(von-Mises) stress analysis obtained from the ANSYS static structural analysis. Fatigue analysis is performed at the equivalent stress considering the automobile load and moment. Finally, this temporary wheel can be used temporary but not continuously.

        본 연구는 기업의 신흥시장진입과정에서 기업간 자원교환에 있어서 상호 의존적 네트워킹의 역할과 몰입이 영향주는 시장진입의 속도를 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 특히 기업의 중국과 인도자동차시장 진입시 시장진입속도에 어떠한 요소의 변화가 영향을 미쳤는지, 지역 중요행위자들과 네트워킹이 시장진입을 촉진하는지 그리고 네트워크 관점에서 학습과 몰입이 시장진입과정의 속도에 효과를 나타냈는지 규명하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 신흥시장 특성에 적합한 기업의 전략적 경쟁위치 개발을 위한 포괄적인 이론적 연구모형을 제시하였다. 연구방법은 한국기업의 시장진입과 관계된 전략과 경험에 기초하여 심층면접을 실시하고 부가적으로 필요한 2차 자료를 수집하였다. 연구모형은 시장에서 3단계의 네트워킹, 학습과 몰입의 발전과정에 대한 실증분석을 위하여 현대자동차의 중국과 인도사례 분석을 적용하였다. 기업의 해외시장진입 속도는 지역 중요행위자들과 사회-정치적 행위자들 사이의 네트워킹에 의해서 중대한 영향을 미친다는 것을 도해하였다. 사례에서 현대자동차는 신흥시장 진입초기에 네트워킹의 효과를 거두었으며, 이때 네트워킹의 여러 유형들은 학습과 몰입의 수준을 결정하였다. 특히 자회사의 위치개발과정에서 경쟁기업이 순차적으로 진입하는 동안에 현대차는 차별적인 형태의 협력을 통한 네트워킹으로 빠른 시장진입의 속도를 이루며 경쟁위치를 개발하였다. 본 연구 결과에서 도출한 시사점은 한국기업이 신흥시장에 진입하는데 전략적으로 도움을 주거나, 이미 진출한 기업에게 자사의 현 위치를 정의하고 나아가 경쟁위치를 개발할 수 있는 기회를 갖고자 한다.

In this research, in order to optimizing casting layout design of an automobile part (Oil Pan_DX2E) Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) simulation was performed with two layout designs by using the simulation software (AnyCasting). The simulation results were analyzed and compared carefully in order to apply them into the production die-casting mold. During the mold filling with two models, internal porosities caused by air entrap were predicted and also compared by the modification of the gate system and the configuration of overflow. With the solidification analysis, internal porosities caused by the solidification shrinkage were predicted and also compared by the modification of the gate system.

        The growing logistics strategy of a company is to optimize their vehicle route scheduling in their supply chain system. It is very important to analyze for continuous pickups and delivery vehicle scheduling. This paper is a computational study to investigate the effectiveness of continuous pickups and delivery vehicle routing problems. These scheduling problems have 3 subproblems; Inbound Vehicle Routing Problem with Makespan and Pickup, Line-haul Network Problem, and Outbound Vehicle Routing Problem with Delivery. In this paper, we propose 5 heuristic Algorithms; Selecting Routing Node, Routing Scheduling, Determining Vehicle Type with Number and Quantity, and Modification Selecting Routing Node. We apply these Algorithms to S vehicle company. The results of computational experiments demonstrate that proposed methods perform well and have better solutions than other methods considering the basic time and due-date.

        도장공정에서 발생되는 휘발성 유기화합물의 회수를 위하여 중공사 분리막 모듈을 이용한 공정을 준비하여, 공급 압력과 시간변화에 따른 휘발성 유기화합물의 회수에 대한 특성평가를 실시하였다. 중공사 분리막 모듈을 도장공정에 직접 적용한 결과, 투과된 휘발성 유기화합물의 농도는 투과시간과 압력의 증가됨에 따라 증가되었으며, 단일공정보다 다단공정이 더 우수한 분리성능을 나타내는 것을 확인하였다.

        공급사슬관리(Supply Chain Management)의 목적은 공급사슬에서 발생하는 재고 및 운송에 관련한 비용을 최소화하는 것이다. 여기서 발생하는 비용은 여러 변수에 의해 결정되기 때문에 공급망 전체를 하나의 시스템으로 보고 모델링하여 분석할 필요성이 있다. 여러 구성요소들을 시간의 흐름에 따라 변화하는 모습을 분석하기 위해 수학적 접근방법을 사용하는 것 보다 시뮬레이션 방법을 사용해 모델링하는 것이 더 효과적이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 중국의 H자동차의 조달물류의 문제점을 파악하고 이를 개선하기 위한 방안을 마련하기 위해 시뮬레이션 방법을 활용하여 조달물류의 최적 배송주기를 도출하고, 재고관리의 문제점을 개선 하고자 한다.

        Warehouse Management System was a helper of business in past, but it is perceived as a core competitive power and a tool for generating new business. It have been come out some new prospects for WMS due to generalization of global outsourcing and extension of the range of supply chain. In China, H automobile company construct the new WMS for providing the production extension and increment of part demand for A/S. This paper deals with the location management in warehouse, warehouse management, delivery management of goods from a warehouse, inventory management organizing WMS for construction of A/S warehouse in H motor in China. Then we identified the several problems of existing warehouse and constructed the driving organization and methods for overcoming these problems. We continually gather data for analysing the effects of new A/S warehouse and WMS construction.

        This paper deals with the application and effects of MES for H automobile plant in China. There existed the production planning and the different work order in PL painting plant, but we can simultaneously prepare the painting parts and parts delivery and assembly according to painting color by introducing MES. We can respond the change of production planning and operate integratively the PL painting, parts storage and parts delivery and then we can results in reasonable logistics. We obtained the exact production information, correct work order, precise delivery order. We obtained not only the improvement of logistics but also the reduction of inventory.

        Automobile market was grown up by 1.7% at the first half of 2012 comparison with 2011 in China and this growth trend will be continued for a while. Under this market environment the China automobile companies expand the production capacity and result in heightening the intense competition for companies. This paper deals with the more efficient production line and production logistics through SPS(Synchronized Production System) with construction of MES(Manufacturing Execution System) in H automobile company in China. In plastic painting line we can simultaneously prepare the production quantity and delivery time according to assembly production plan by introducing MES. We can reduce the excess production and result in extreme reduction of inventory.

        When manufacturing die casting mold, generally, the casting layout design should be considered based on the relation between injection systems, casting condition, gating system, and cooling system. Also, the extent or the location of product defects will be differentiated according to the various relations of the above conditions. High-qualified products can be manufactured as those defects are controled by the proper modifications or the changes of die casting mold with the conditions. In this research, the proper manufacturing method intensively be derived for reducing the defect of the internal porosities issues of power steering which is very complicated to achieve the mold design, and for minimizing and for guaranteeing the product quality through the analysis of the problem of casting parts and the deduction of alternative plans.

        This paper presents a six sigma application case study for an automobile PCSV manufacturing process using rolled throughput yield improvement activity. Hidden factor and first yield concept is introduced and DMAIC procedure is implemented to maximize the first pass yield. The result of the six sigma project amounts to the reduction of failure cost of 0.1 billion won per year in the PCSV manufacturing process. This paper can benefit six sigma practitioners in some ways.
