        This study investigated the fish fauna of Jeonjucheon and Samcheon Streams, flowing through the city of Jeonju, through surveys conducted at 10 sampling sites using kick net and cast net. The fish fauna collected included 10 families and 36 species, with a total of 2,064 individuals. Samcheon had 8 families and 30 species with 1,074 individuals, Jeonjucheon had 8 families and 26 species with 986 individuals. The dominant species was Zacco platypus with 1,202 individuals, and a total of 153 individuals of the subdominant were Pseudogobio esocinus. In Jeonjucheon Stream, a total of 567 individuals of the dominant species were collected as Z. platypus and 99 individuals of the subdominant species were collected as Pungtungia herzi, and there was no significant change in the stream environment except for the confluence site. Further expanded research covering the entire Jeonjucheon and Samcheon Streams region, accompanied by regular monitoring, is essential to record and understand fluctuations in fish fauna.

        The goal of this study was to provide basic data necessary for managing fish in the Seomgang River by confirming diversity of fish species in the Seomgang River and determining the degree of change in fish species through a comparison with earlier related work. Growth rate, obesity level, and temporal and spatial reproductive capacities were analyzed to determine growth characteristics of dominant species. Fish fauna and structure of the fish community were surveyed at three different time points from October of 2020 to August of 2021 at eight sites. In addition, growth characteristics of Zacco platypus from June of 2021 to July of 2022 at four sites were determined. A total of 3,999 individuals, 43 species, and ten families of fish were identified. Among these species, 19 (44.19%) were Korean endemic species and four (9.30%) were endangered species. The dominant species was Z. platypus. Pungtungia herzi was identified as a subdominant species. An analysis of length-weight relationships and condition factor (k) of Z. platypus confirmed a good state of growth. As a result of a frequency analysis of the total length, the life cycle of the Z. platypus population living in the Seomgang River was found to be stable. According to gonadosomatic index (GSI) analysis, the spawning season of Z. platypus was estimated to occur after May, consistent with the literature.

        벽계천의 어류군집 특성 및 멸종위기 4종의 서식 양상을 밝히기 위해 2020년 4월부터 9월까지 조사를 실시하였다. 조사기간 동안 7개 지점을 선정하여 조사한 결과, 채집된 어류는 9과 31종 3,415개체였다. 출현종 중 우점종은 참갈겨니 (Zacco koreanus, 31.2%), 아우점종은 피라미(Z. platypus, 15.0%), 다음으로 돌고기(Pungtungia herzi, 11.7%), 줄납자 루(Acheilognathus yamatsutae, 5.4%), 납자루(A. lanceolata intermedia, 4.8%), 밀어(Rhinogobius brunneus, 4.4%), 가는돌고기(Pseudopungtungia tenuicorpa, 4.3%) 등의 순으로 우세하였다. 출현종 중 한국고유종은 19종(고유화율 61.3%)이었고, 기후변화민감종(냉수성 어종)은 금강모치(Rhynchocypris kumgangensis)와 둑중개(Cottus koreanus) 2종이 확인되었다. 법정보호종은 환경부지정 멸종위기 야생생물 II급인 묵납자루(A. signifer)와 가는돌고기, 한강납줄 개(Rhodeus pseudosericeus), 둑중개 4종이 출현하였으며, 주로 묵납자루와 가는돌고기는 중·하류에, 한강납줄개는 중류에, 둑중개는 최상류에 서식하고 있었다. 이중 가는돌고기는 출현개체수가 가장 많았고, 전장빈도분포도로 연령을 추정한 결과, 7월기준 전장 24~35㎜는 당년생, 54~75㎜는 1년생, 82~97㎜는 2년생, 104~109㎜는 3년생 이상으로 추정되었다. 군집분석 중 우점도는 상류에서 높고 하류로 갈수록 낮아지는 경향을 보이나 다양도와 균등도, 풍부도는 상류에서 낮고 하류로 갈수록 높아지는 경향을 보였다. 하천건강성(FAI)은 매우 좋음 5개 지점, 좋음 2개 지점으로 나타나 양호하였다. 벽계천은 비교적 서식지가 잘 보존되고 있었으나 멸종위기종이 많이 서식하는 중·하류부 일부는 하천공사가 진행되면서 서식지가 교란되고 있어 보존대책이 요구되었다.

        This study was conducted to provide the basic information on environment effects on appearance of ichthyoplankton in the Yeongsan River Estuary in Spring and Summer from 2018 to 2020. Data were obtain from the database of ‘Coastal Ecosystem’ in “National Survey of Marine Ecosystem.” Among the abundance ichthyoplankton species, the Gobiidae spp. dominated, accounting for 85% of the total abundances with the secondary dominant species being the Parablennius yatabei, representing 3% of the abundances. Cluster analysis results revealed a composition differentiated between spring and summer. The Yeongsan River Estuary is known to be significantly influenced by the opening and closing of estuarine gates. In this study, the fluctuation in the number of occurrence groups and abundance among the years and season is attributed to the phenomenon of high water temperature period and the freshwater discharge.

        River estuaries are dynamic and productive ecosystems with high regional biodiversity. Environmental DNA (eDNA) has become a useful approach to assessing biodiversity in aquatic ecosystems. This study was conducted to investigate fish community characteristics and species diversity in two river estuary ecosystems, the Taehwa River and Changwon Stream. We further compared conventional and eDNA metabarcoding analyses of the fish communities. The conventional survey was performed in May, July, and October 2022, while the eDNA analysis was conducted only in May. We observed various fish species with different life histories, including carp, goby, and marine fish. We also found that migratory fish, such as dace Tribolodon hakonensis, sweetfish Plecoglossus altivelis, and eel Auguilla japonica, occurred in the Taehwa River, suggesting high river connectivity. Marine fish species were predominant in the Changwon Stream, as this river is located close to the sea. The diversity indices showed that the Taehwa River generally had higher species richness, evenness, and diversity values than the Changwon Stream. A total of 9-19 species were detected in the conventional survey for the three sites, whereas 11-18 species were found from eDNA analysis. The findings indicate that the sensitivity of eDNA was similar to or higher than that of the conventional method. Our study findings suggest the efficiency and efficacy of eDNA-based fish community monitoring, although with some shortcomings in applying the genetic marker to Korean fish, including no clear-cut distinction for Korean endemic species and/or genetically closely related species groups.

        This study analyzed the monitoring results of fishways at 16 weirs constructed on four large Rivers to provide data helpful for the operation and management of fishways. The average utilization rate of the fishways at the weirs was confirmed to be 64.9%. When comparing the dominant species in the mainstream and fishway monitoring results, differences were observed in 9 weirs (56.3%). This indicated that the species prevalent in the mainstream were not necessarily the ones most frequently using the fishways. The average number of individuals using the fishways per day was 336. When classifying the fish species using the fishway by life type, 92.3% were primary freshwater fish, and migratory species accounted for only 5.6%. Analysis based on the season of fishway usage revealed that an average or higher number of fish species used the fishways from May to October, with the highest number of individual users occurring from June to August. Between May and July, 80% of the fish species using the fishways were in their spawning period, while during other season, less than 40% were species that move during the spawning period. The fishways that showed a significant alignment between the spawning period and the fishway passage period were Rhinogobius brunneus, Leiocassis nitidus, Squalidus chankaensis tsuchigae, Pseudogobio esocinus, Acheilognathus rhombeus, and Pungtungia herzi, in that order. When comparing the fishway monitoring results of the Gangjeong-Goryeong Weir and the Dalseong Weir with the upper part water level of the weir, both the number of fish species and individuals using the fishway showed positive correlations with the upper part water level of the weir. This suggests that a higher water level of the weir increases the inflow discharge within the fishway, leading to increased use by fish (number of individuals in Gangjeong-Goryeong Weir, P<0.001; number of species in Dalseong Weir, P<0.05). This study summarized and analyzed the results of fishway monitoring at 16 weirs built on four large Rivers, considering fishway efficiency, operation and management, monitoring period, and regulation of water level in the upper part of the weir. It is thought that this will help understand the status of fish use in fishways on large River and aid the construction, operation, and management of fishways in the future.

        Long term variations of fish assemblage in the coastal waters of Bukchon-ri were determined using samples collected by trammel net from 2012 to 2022. Water temperature increased by 0.4℃ in 2022 that was less then 2012. During the survey period, a total of 95 species (53 families and 15 orders) of fishes were identified, Scorpaeniformes (five families and 22 species) and Perciformes (25 families and 39 species) accounted for 73% of the total number. The number of species was higher in summer than winter, showing a peak in summer at 66 species and lower in winter and autumn at 45 species. The number of individuals and the biomass peaked in summer at 1,238 individuals and 280.1 kg, and were the lowest in autumn at 597 individuals and 155.4 kg. The annual diversity index, evenness index and richness index were appeared 2.11-2.80, 0.64-0.80 and 4.70-7.34 at each years. The dominance index were appeared highest in 2014 while 2021 were appeared the lowest in 2017. The subtropical fishes were identified total of 38 species (40.0%) and the number of species was higher in 2022 at 22 (52.4%) species and lower in 2015-2017 at each 10 (31.3-37.0%) species. The dominant species of subtropical fishes were appeared rabbit fish (Siganus fuscescens), boxfish (Ostracion immaculatus), smallscale blackfish (Girella melanichthys), flag fish (Goniistius zonatus), stripey (Microcanthus strigatus), rock porgy (Oplegnathus punctatus), and bluestriped angelfish (Chaetodontoplus septentrionalis) in study sites.

        The bitterling (Cyprinidae, Acheilongnathinae) is a temperate freshwater fish with a unique spawning symbiosis with host mussels. Female bitterlings use their extended ovipositors to lay eggs on the gills of mussels through the mussel's exhalant siphon. In the present study, in April of 2020, we investigated spawning frequencies and patterns of three bitterling fish species in host mussel species in the Nakdong River basin (Hoecheon). During field surveys, a total of four bitterling and three mussel species were found. We observed bitterling's spawning eggs/larvae in the three mussel species: Anodonta arcaeformis (proportion spawned: 45.5%), Corbicula fluminea (12.1%), and Nodularia douglasiae (45.2%). The number of bitterlings’ eggs/larvae per mussel ranged from 1 to 58. Using our developed genetic markers, we identified the eggs/ larvae of each bitterling species in each mussel species (except for A. macropterus): A. arcaeformis (spawned by Acheilognathus yamatsutae), C. fluminea (A. yamatsutae and Tanakia latimarginata), and N. douglasiae (A. yamatsutae, Rhodeus uyekii, and T. latimarginata). Approximately 57.6% of N. douglasiae mussel individuals had eggs/ larvae of more than one bitterling species, suggesting that interspecific competition for occupying spawning grounds is intense. This is the first report on bitterling’s spawning events in the Asian clam C. fluminea from Korea; however, it should be ascertained whether bitterling’s embryo undergoes successful development inside the small mussel and leaves as a free-swimming juvenile. In addition, the importance of its conservation as a new host mussel species for bitterling fishes needs to be studied further.

        In this study, we aimed to determine the seasonal distribution and biomass of fish in Samcheok marine ranching area (MRA) of Republic of Korea using the scientific echosounder. Fish trap and gillnets were used to identify fish species in the survey area, and dB-difference method was used to estimation the spatio-temporal distribution and density of fish. The results showed that the dominant species in Samcheok marine ranching area were Chelidonichthys spinosus, Sebastes inermis, Hexagrammos otakii and Tribolodon hakonensis. The spatio-temporal distribution of fish showed that fish had a relatively higher distribution at night than during the day. In addition, the density of fish by season was highest at night in July at 34.22 g/m 2 and lowest in April at 0.42 g/m 2 .

        This study quantitatively evaluated size selectivity for three netting shapes (T0; regular, T45, T90) and hanging ratio (35%, 70%) of T0 netting used for trawl codend. The size selectivity experiment was performed in a tank using a cube experimental model with a length of 50 cm on one side and 389 experimental individuals, jack mackerel (Trachurus japonicus). In the selectivity analysis, a selectivity curve was created based on the selection ratio using a logistic function, and the 25%, 50%, and 70% selection length and selection range  were obtained. The T0 netting was 19.54 cm when the 50% selective length, which is a selectivity evaluation index, had a hanging ratio of 35%, a selection range of 0.51 cm, and 22.70 cm and 3.08 cm for the hanging ratio of 70%. The T45 netting was 24.34 cm and 2.13 cm, and the T90 netting was 23.51 cm and 2.84 cm. The results of the T45 netting and the T90 netting are similar, and the 50% selection length and selection range were relatively larger than the T0 netting. There was a significant difference in the correlation between the circumference of the inner circle of the mesh by the shape of the netting and the body girth of the experimental individual (Pearson test,      ). There was no significant difference in the correlation between the selection ratio by the T0 netting, T45 netting, and T90 netting with a 70% hanging ratio (one-way ANOVA,   ). The results of this study showed that selectivity such as T45 netting and T90 netting appeared when the hanging ratio, which maximizes the area of T0 netting, was maintained at 70%.

        본 연구에서는 경기도내 유통되고 있는 심해성 어류 50 건을 대상으로 수은, 메틸수은의 오염도 및 셀레늄의 함 량을 알아보았다. 금아말감법의 수은분석기, ICP-MS를 사 용하여 측정하였으며 각 항목별 평균함량은 수은 0.7647 mg/ kg (0.0182-5.3620), 메틸수은 0.0764 mg/kg (0.0096-0.8750), 셀레늄 0.4728 mg/kg(0.1075-3.5100)으로 메틸수은은 50건 모두 기준규격(1.0 mg/kg) 이하로 나타났다. 셀레늄은 수 은과 결합하여 수은의 독성을 감소시키는 것으로 알려져 있으며, 본 연구과제에서는 일일평균섭취량이 3.3 μg/kg으 로 일일권장량보다 낮은 수치였다. 유해물질인 수은과 메 틸수은은 JECFA에서 설정한 PTWI의 5.7%, 1.8%로 조사 되었다. 따라서 도내에서 유통되는 심해성 어류의 수은, 메틸수은과 같은 위해중금속은 안전한 것으로 나타났지만 지속적 모니터링이 필요하다고 판단된다.

        금당천의 어류군집 특징과 멸종위기종 한강납줄개(Rhodeus pseudosericeus)의 서식양상을 파악하기 위해 2021년 3월부터 10월까지 조사를 실시하였다. 조사기간 동안 7개 지점에서 5과 25종 1,698개체의 어류가 채집되었다. 우점종은 피라미(Zacco platypus, 상대풍부도 46.5%), 아우점종은 긴몰개(Squalidus gracilis majimae, 16.7%) 였으며, 그 외 버들치 (Rhynchocypris oxycephalus, 12.0%), 참갈겨니(Z. koreanus, 5.7%), 돌고기(Pungtungia herzi, 3.2%), 한강납줄개 (2.0%), 떡납줄갱이(R. notatus, 1.9%), 납지리(Acheilognathus rhombeus, 1.8%) 등의 순으로 우세하였다. 출현종 중 한국고유종은 돌마자(Microphysogobio yaluensis), 한강납줄개, 각시붕어(R. uyekii), 참중고기(Sarcocheilichthys variegatus wakiyae), 긴몰개, 참갈겨니, 점줄종개(Cobitis nalbanti), 참종개(Iksookimia koreensis), 얼록동사리 (Odontobutis interrupta) 9종(고유화율 36.0%)이었고, 외래종은 생태계교란 생물로 지정된 배스(Micropterus salmoides) 1종이 하류부에서 채집되었다. 법정보호종으로 환경부지정 멸종위기 야생생물 II급인 한강납줄개의 서식양상을 조사한 결과, 서식범위는 금당천 중류부(RP-1~RP-4) 약 6~7km 구간이며, 주로 수심 0.3~1.0m의 유속이 느리고 수생식물이 많은 소의 수변부에 서식하고 있었다. 어류군집 분석 결과, 전체적으로 우점도와 균등도가 낮고 다양도와 풍부도는 높게 나타났으며, 군집구조는 크게 상류와 중하류로 구분되었다. 하천 건강성은 좋음(3지점)과 보통(3지점), 나쁨(1지점)으로 평가되었고, 수질은 상류와 하류 모두 좋음으로 평가되었다. 선행연구와 비교한 결과, 종수는 큰 차이를 보이지 않았으며, 과거에는 출현하였으나 본 조사에서 출현하지 않은 종은 13종이었고, 반면 본 조사에서 처음으로 출현한 종은 6종이었다. 교란요인은 하천공사와 많은 보, 외래어종 배스의 서식 등이 확인되었다. 금당천은 멸종위기종 한강납줄개를 비롯한 납자루아과(Acheilognathinae) 어류가 많이 서식하여 보존가치가 높은 지역이기 때문에, 지속적인 관심과 체계적인 보존방안이 요구된다.

        The predator-prey interaction in freshwater ecosystems is a crucial area in the ecological study field and one of example to find such interaction is to investigate stomach contents. However, traditional method through visual inspection often induce misidentification, as it depends critically on intactness of physically visible data. In this study, we utilized Next-Generations Sequencing (NGS) technology to test the applicability stomach content analysis and overcome such limitation. NGS was applied to analyze the stomach contents of the Hemibarbus labeo, Tachysurus fulvidraco, and Plecoglossus altivelis collected in the lower part of Nakdong River. As a result, T. fulvidraco had a higher number of Animalia operational taxonomic units (OTUs) intake rate than H. labeo. At the same time, P. altivelis had higher number of Plantae OTUs intake rate than T. fulvidraco and higher Protozoa OTUs intake rate than H. labeo respectively. Therefore, NGS technology application enable to overcome traditional method’s limitation and discover hidden interspecific interaction which can further be used in appropriate habitat assessment.

        The objectives of this study were to analyze the fish community structures and distribution characteristics of fisheries resources in the Osip Stream and Wangpi Stream, fishery resources protection areas. For the study, we conducted fish samplings four times in the two streams from April to October 2019. In Osip Stream and Wangpi Stream, we sampled 31 species and 29 species and the dominant species were Zacco platypus (28.6%) and Squalidus multimaculatus (41.7%), respectively. According to the life type of fish species, primary freshwater species were collected 18 species (58.1%) and 21 species (72.4%), and migration fishes were sampled 4 species (12.9%) and 6 species (20.7%) in Osip Stream and Wangpi Stream, respectively. Fisheries resources species showed high relative abundance in June, and the fish biomass was highest in October. As a results of comparing the previous studies with this study, both rivers showed high biodiversity and were found to maintain stable populations of fishes. According to analysis of tolerance guilds, the proportion of tolerant species, based on the number of individuals, was composed of 14.4% and 1.1% in Osip Stream and Wangpi Stream, respectively. This very low ratio of tolerant species confirmed that both streams have very good physiochemical environment conditions. From the above results, it was judged that the fishery resource protection areas of Osip Stream and Wangpi Stream have high ecological function and preservation value. For sustainable use and management of fishery resource protection areas of Osip Stream and Wangpi Stream, it is suggested that biological disturbance management, fish discharge projects considering environmental capacity, efforts to improve the habitat environment, and establishing a fishery resource protection areas management system were necessary as considerations.

        Fish samples were collected by a set net from April to December 2020 at the coastal waters off Tongyeong, Korea to determine fish species composition and seasonal variation. A total of 330,675 fish (1,032,578 g) representing 56 species belonging to 39 families were collected during the sampling period. The dominant species were Engraulis japonicus, Trachurus japonicus and Trichiurus japonicus, which accounted for 98.1% of the total number of individuals and 87.5% of the total biomass collected. E. japonicus and Chelidonichthys spinosus appeared every month off the coast of the Tongyeong. Cluster analysis based on the number of individuals of fish were classified into two groups at the dissimilarity level of 57%, and the results of ANOSIM analysis revealed significant differences in community structure among the two groups

        방태천의 어류군집 특성과 냉수성 어류의 서식양상을 파악하기 위해 2020년 4월부터 10월까지 조사를 실시하였다. 조사기간 동안 11개 지점에서 9과 26종 4,640개체의 어류가 채집되었다. 우점종은 금강모치(Rhynchocypris kumgangensis, relative abundance 31.5%)였고, 아우점종은 참갈겨니(Zacco koreanus, 27.8%), 그 다음으로는 새미 (Ladislavia taczanowskii, 15.9%), 돌고기(Pungtungia herzi, 4.0%), 열목어(Brachymystax lenok tsinlingensis, 3.7%), 배가사리(Microphysogobio longidorsalis, 2.4%), 피라미(Z. platypus, 2.3%), 퉁가리(Liobagrus andersoni, 2.3%) 등의 순으로 우세하였다. 출현종 중 한국고유종은 17종(65.4%)이었고, 법정보호종으로 환경부지정 멸종위기 야생생물 II급 인 묵납자루(Acheilognathus signifer), 가는돌고기(Pseudopungtungia tenuicorpa), 돌상어(Gobiobotia brevibarba), 열목어 4종, 천연기념물인 어름치(Hemibarbus mylodon) 1종 등 5종이, 육봉형 어류는 둑중개, 열목어 2종이 채집되었 다. 냉수성 어류는 금강모치, 둑중개(Cottus koreanus), 열목어, 새미 4종이 출현하였으며 모두 주로 중·상류역에 서식하 고 있었다. 어류군집 분석 결과, 상류에서 하류로 갈수록 우점도와 균등도는 낮아지고 풍부도와 다양도는 높아지는 경향을 보였으며, 군집구조는 크게 상류와 하류 그룹으로 구분되었다. 하천 건강성은 매우 좋음(9지점)과 좋음(2지점)으 로 평가되어 양호하였다. 과거 조사와 비교한 결과, 어류상은 과거와 큰 변화가 없었으나, 과거에는 출현하였으나 본 조사에서 출현하지 않은 종은 3종(붕어 Carassius auratus, 대농갱이 Leiocassis ussuriensis, 쏘가리 Siniperca scherzeri)이었고, 과거에는 출현하지 않았지만 본 조사에서 처음으로 출현한 종은 3종(끄리 Opsariichthys uncirostris amurensis, 돌마자 Microphysogobio yaluensis, 대륙종개 Orthrias nudus)이었다. 방태천은 서식지가 잘 보존되어 있으며, 기후변화민감종과 멸종위기 야생생물, 천연기념물 등이 서식하고 있어 보존가치가 높은 지역으로 판단되기 때문에 지속적인 관심과 체계적인 보존방안체계적인 보존방안이 요구된다.

        Sampling gears for collecting fish are diverse, and the community of fish varies according to the selection and characteristics of the sampling gears. The present study compared the characteristics of fish communities in Yedang reservoir using four sampling gears (kick net, cast net, gill net, and fyke net). The kick net and cast net were inefficient in collecting the number of individuals. However, they increased the species diversity of fish inhabiting the waterfront. Although not many individuals were collected, the gill net mainly collected large fish. The largest number of individuals was collected in the fyke net, and the dominance was high due to the high species selectivity. Through Self-Organizing Map (SOM) analysis, large fish were collected in the gill net, whereas small fish were collected in the fyke net. The characteristics and efficiency of the fish differed depending on the sampling gears.         식품 소비에 있어 어류가 주요한 단백질의 공급원으로서 역할이 증대됨에 따라 기존 육류 중심으로 이루어졌던 수요분석 연구가 어류를 포함한 수산물까지 확대되어 다양한 연구결과가 발표되고 있다. 그럼에도 불구 어류 수요분석에 대한 기존 연구들은 소비량 및 가격데이터 등 데이터 확보의 어려움으로 도매 혹은 소매 단계의 시장수요를 추정하여 소비자 개인의 수요함수를 추정하지 못한 한계를 가지고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 주요 어종의 1인당 소비량과 소비자가격 데이터로 DAIDS (Dynamic Almost Ideal Demand System) 모형을 활용하여 개별 소비자의 수요함수를 추정함으로써 기존 연구와 차별성을 두었다. 실증 분석 결과, 소득탄력성의 경우 멸치가 가장 크고 오징어, 고등어, 갈치, 명태 순으로 멸치를 제외하고는 소득변화에 비탄력적이었다. 자체가격탄력성은 품목 간 다소 차이가 있지만 5개 품목 모두 자체가격에 대해 비탄력적이었으며, 어종 간 교차가격탄력성은 고등어와 갈치, 갈치와 멸치를 제외하고는 상호보완 관계가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이는 우리나라에서 주요 소비되는 어종이 서로 대체하기 보다는 상호 보완적인 관계로 수산물 소비가 단일 품목으로 이루어지기 보다는 다양한 수산물과 함께 이루어지기 때문인 것으로 판단된다.

        낙동강하굿둑의 건설로 원활한 용수 공급이 이루어졌으나, 하구 수생태계의 종적 연결성을 단절시켰다. 이에 낙동강 하굿둑 개방에 대한 사회적 요구가 지속적으로 제기되어 왔으며, 2017년부터 낙동강하구역 기수생태계 복원을 위한 노력이 본격화되었다. 낙동강 하구에는 다양한 어종이 서식해 왔으며, 이들의 서식·이동 특성은 상이하므로 이를 고려한 수문운영은 기수생태계 복원에 필수적이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 낙동강하구에 서식·이동하는 어류를 모니터링을 통해 확인하였으며, 방류 시 수문운영 형태별, 개도별 평균 유속을 산출하여, 어종에 따른 원활한 소상 가능성을 분석하였다. 또한 대상어종을 선정하고, 주 분포 수심에 따른 수문운영 형태를 제시하는 등 낙동강 하구역의 기수생태계 복원을 적극적으로 수행하기 위한 수문운영 방안을 제시하였다.
