In this study the structural performance of new composite column to composite beam connection was evaluated by cyclic tests. It is designed to be applied to various types of through type system to the bottom plate to view synthesis composite beam. A composite column is composed of a RC type column reinforced by steel angles which the end bends in each edge corners of column. also, A composite beam is composed of trussed type’s web, a bottom steel plate and reinforced by steel angles which the end bends in each edge corners of beam. 4 cyclic tests of the clarified structural performance of the connections are performed. All specimens that is apply reinforced concrete beam-column joints based on KBC2009 criteria was performed by cyclic test of column to beam. All specimens were exposed to be satisfied with the required ultimate strength.
The Composite structures such as CFT(Concrete Filled Steel Tube) have many advantages compared to the H shape columns, concrete columns. But, CFT columns were reinforced difficult which was members with closed section. When beams size were different around the columns in buildings of various form, the construction was complex that diaphragm was overlapped or inclined. In this study, structural performance comparison of horizontal diaphragm and vertical plates was conducted.
The purpose of this study is to deliberate on design application for a structure of beam with partially restrained composite connection to CFT column. It was intended to apply an economic and stable component by adjusting stiffness ratio of column connection through partially restrained composite connection. As a result of the review of stability of the structure, it was confirmed that in case of a low-rise building as a moment frame, it could be resisted without brace, as stiffness was increased when taking advantage of partial restrained composite connection by composite action.
The purpose of this study was to experimentally evaluate seismic performance of connection of modular system. As a result of experiment study, two specimens did not show the strength reduction and brittle fracture at connection until 2% story drift. Thus, requirements for intermediate moment frame(IMF) was satisfied in two specimens.
In this study, an experimental study to investigate the load transfer behavior of the CFT column to steel beam connection was carried out. The load transfer mechanism and the effect of the load transfer length were examined, and the results were also compared with finite element analysis results. Finally, the results are to be used for the basic reference of the design guideline for the CFT column connection.
In this paper, a moment resisting precast concrete beam-to-column connection is proposed for high seismic zones using bolt type connection. An experimental study was carried out to investigate the behavior of the proposed connection subjected to cyclic loading
