To promote the diffusion of environmentally friendly equipment, appropriate measures need to be taken for each target group. This study evaluated changes in the influence of mass media on PV installation intentions by generation, based on over 10 years of consumer awareness survey data and the number of newspaper reports.
This study identified fashion consumers disposal behavior and analyzed the effects of consumers pursuing values in disposal, environmental awareness, and sustainable fashion consumption attitudes in regards to fashion disposal behavior. A survey questionnaire was developed and data were obtained from 460 consumers in their 20's to 50's in Korea who had experienced fashion disposal behaviors during last 12 months. As a result, there were four different fashion disposal behaviors such as economical, practical, and social disposal as well as hoarding behaviors. Consumers pursuing values in disposal affected fashion disposal behavior. Practical and economical values had positively impacted economical disposal and hoarding behaviors. While hedonic value had a negative impact on economical disposal behavior, it had a positive impact on social disposal behavior. Also, environmental-social values had positively impacted practical and social disposal behaviors. Fashion-related environmental knowledge had positively impacted economical and practical disposal behaviors and PCE affected social disposal behavior, while environmental concerns had a negative impact on economical disposal behavior. Consumers attitude toward usedfashion items, fashion recycling, and fashion innovativeness affected all of fashion disposal behaviors. Although hoarding behavior has been an under researched area, the finding implied that hoarding behavior was affected by consumer's pursuing value in disposal and sustainable consumption attitude. Also, environmental-social values and attitudes toward used-fashion items would induce practical disposal behavior such as reuse by alteration or reform. Consumers economical and hedonic values can promote donations or exchange/resale of unwanted fashion items, which can lead to sustainable consumption.
본 연구는 야생조수(황새)보호지역에 사는 주민들의 환경적 인식에 관한 연구이다. 연구방법은 문화인류학적 접근방법의 하나인 심층인터뷰 방식에 의존했으며, 연구대상지는 경상북도 금위군 효령면 금매리이다. 연구의 주된 내용은 환경적 인식에 대한 문화적 구조를 밝혀내는 것이다. 연구의 결과는 황새에 대한 생태적, 긍정적, 부정적, 문화 생태적 관점에서 보면 다음과 같다. 첫 번째는 주민들은 황새의 먹이공급처, 종의 변화, 개체군, 이주, 생육, 서식처 그리고 예측 등의 생활에 대하여 예상을 넘어설 만큼 구체적으로 알고 있었다. 두 번째는 주민들의 긍정적 존재감과 마을에 대한 자부심을 가지고 있었다. 세 번째는 소음, 악취 그리고 수목에 대한 피해 등 환경적 불편함을 경험하고 있었다. 특이한 조수의 이동을 통해 주민들이 하루, 일년, 계절의 시간 변화를 인식하는데 매우 민감했다. 또한 조수의 이동 현상을 통해 그들은 계절에 대한 일기를 미리 예측을 하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 황새 서식지에 대한 문화생태적 관점에서 보았을 때 황새의 존재적 인식, 위계적 인식, 의미부여적 인식 등으로 구분하여 황새의 서식지에 대한 인식을 알아보았다. 비록 황새가 환경문제를 어느 정도 유발하고 있지만 마을 공동체의 중요한 일원으로 인식되고 있음을 알 수 있었다.
The purposes of this study were to identify awareness of pollution and attitudes toward eco-friendly clothing according to women's LOHAS lifestyle. Over 60% of women were not aware of severity of environment pollution by clothing wastes and 37.2% kept their not-wearing clothing in dead storage. 26.7% of women disposed notwearing clothing into clothing collecting box separately and 20.9% sent them to neighbors or friends. 39.4% of women were willing to pay 10% more for eco-friendly clothing and 84.6% were not willing to buy clothing produced by unethical companies. Factors of LOHAS lifestyle were healthy food, environmental protection, family life, healthy clothing, healthy housing, and community service, and were segmented into using leisure group, family centered group, LOHAS group, and LOHAS stagnated group. Using leisure group were university women with low incomes, well aware of environmental pollution by clothing wastes and eco-friendly clothing, kept their not-wearing clothing into dead storage, and low intention to buy clothing produced by unethical companies. Family centered group were women of 30’s with average income and higher educationl, unaware of environmental pollution by clothing wastes and eco-friendly clothing, but low intention to buying them, disposed not-wearing clothing into clothing collecting box. LOHAS group were the over forties home makers with higher income and education, well aware of severity of environmental pollution, sent not-wearing clothing to others or remodeled, intended to buy eco-friendly clothing, and not to buy clothing produced by unethical companies. LOHAS stagnated group were university students, unaware of severity of environmental pollution by clothing wastes and threw not-wearing clothing into trash box, no experience of eco-friendly clothing, could buy clothing produced by unethical companies if needed.
This study examined the consumers' awareness and information need toward the irradiated foods and environmental hormones. The data were collected from 350 adults living in Daegu and Busan by the self-administered questionnaire. Frequencies and chi-square tests were conducted by SPSS. The results of the survey were as follows: (1) consumers' awareness regarding the irradiated foods and environmental hormones were low, while consumers' concerns for them were high, (2) the orders of the information needs for the irradiated foods are safety of irradiated foods, dose permitted for food irradiation, benefits of irradiated foods, kinds of permitted irradiated foods, and legislations of food irradiation, and (3) the orders of the information needs for the environmental hormones are harmfulness of environmental hormones, standards for contamination by environmental hormones, materials releasing environmental hormones, methods to prevent environmental hormones, and kinds of environmental hormones.
The study attempts to assess the level of environmental sustainability awareness in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In the process, the study tries to assess the impact of extracurricular activities in increasing awareness of environmental sustainability. A survey questionnaire was administered to the students of Prince Sattam University and other universities of Saudi Arabia. The questionnaire comprises statements on simple environmental conservation activities, which we come across on a daily basis. Hypothesis testing is used to identify significant differences across different categories of respondents. Further, the method of binary logistic regression is used to analyze the data. Though all the respondents agree that conserving the environment is important still there are significant differences across categories when it comes to believing in and practicing environmentally-responsible behavior. The results show that environmental awareness can be increased using awareness activities on sustainability issues in a University setting. The study concludes that increasing the number of extracurricular activities on environmental topics as only 38% of the respondents reported any activity related to the environment in the past year. The findings of this study suggest that increased awareness of environmental issues can boost the sustainability awareness, which will ultimately lead to a sustainable environment.
산업혁명 이후 문명의 발달로 인한 인구의 증가와 도시화는 현대인의 삶을 급격히 변화시키고 있다. 인권과 자연과의 공생이 주장되기 시작한 19세기 중반 이후의 사상가와 문필가로부터 환경 친화적 개념을 도입한 디자인 교육자들과 정치가 등 다양한 분야의 실천가들과 그들의 대표적인 저서와 사상을 고찰하였다. 이들의 사상과 함께 태동한 생태학의 이론과 개념 으로부터, 생태학적 디자인은 인간과 환경의 공존을 위한 대안으로 활용되고 있다. 생태학적 디자인이라는 큰 영역 속에서 에코디자인(Eco Design), 그린디자인(Green Design), 환경친화적 디자인(Eco Friendly Design), 지속가능한 디자인 (Sustainable Design) 등 다양한 이름으로 불리며, 비슷하면서도 다른 디자인 관점에 대해 고찰한다. 특히 ‘지속가능한 디자 인’이라 불리고 사용되는 디자인의 개념을 시간과 공간과 프로세스로 구분하여 소개하고, 디자인 사례를 통해 ‘지속가능성’ 이라는 불분명한 개념을 디자인 관점에서 구체적으로 인지할 수 있도록 하였다. 환경과 인간 활동의 공존, 지속가능한 발전을 위해 더 많은 생태학적 디자인 연구가 진행되어야 할 것이다.
The main purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that have an impact on public policy, green products and technology in Kuala Lumpur, given government initiatives to boost the environment awareness. The data used in this study was collected by distribution questionnaires randomly in six areas of Kuala Lumpur and 400 respondents were interviewed. Based on a literature review, three hypotheses were stated and tested using structural equation modeling (SEM). SEM is a statistical analysis method that involved two or more variables in analyzing structural relationships among the variables. The SEM model shows that green products and government policies have a direct influence on environmental awareness. However, green technology does not have a direct influence on environmental awareness. Since, knowledge on green technology does not have a significant impact on raising environmental awareness among the public, a much more pragmatic awareness campaign needs to be put in place to use green technology as a part of modern living. The study suggests that the urban population needs to be more aware of the environmental issue as cities tend to have better infrastructure to raise public awareness on green issues. Moreover, the government should increase the environmental awareness among younger generation through workshops, seminars, campaigns, and pamphlets.
본 연구는 원예활동 복합 환경교육 프로그램을 설계하고, 초등학 생의 환경의식과 행동과 태도의 변화에 미치는 영향에 대하여 확인 하고자 하였다. 이에, 초등학생 38명을 대상으로 프로그램을 실시 하고 전후 설문을 통하여 효과를 검증하였다. 프로그램은 8회차로 회당 120분으로 전반 60분은 이론수업, 후반 60분은 환경실습수업 으로 구성하여 진행하였으며, 원예활동 복합 환경교육 프로그램 실 시에 따른 초등학생의 환경인식, 환경태도, 환경행동의 변화를 확인 하였다. 그 결과, 모든 영역에서 유의미한 차이가 있었으며, 프로그 램 실시 전에 비하여 실시 후 수준이 증가하는 양상을 보였다. 환경 지식부문에서는 석탄사용연료 사용으로 인하여 지구온난화가 발 생한다는 지식에 대한 이해가 여타 부문에 비하여 높아지는 양상을 보였으며, 조작적 이해부문에서는 자연보호활동에 대한 참여 인식 및 재활용 사용 중요성 인식에 대한 이해가 다른 이해부문에 비하여 보다 높아지는 유의한 결과로 분석되었다. 환경가치 및 신념부문에 서는 화학약품의 사용 저감, 과학기술의 발전 가치, 자연보호를 위 한 편의 포기 항목에서 상대적으로 향상 폭이 높았으며, 정서영역부 문에서는 회사가 동물로 제품테스트하는 것에 화난다는 항목에서 상대적으로 큰 폭의 유의한 증가를 나타냈다. 환경자극경험 부문 중 학교에서의 경험에 대한 항목에서 상대적으로 큰 폭의 향상을 확인 할 수 있었으며, 활동진술영역 부문에서는 전반적으로 유의미한 차 이를 보였다. 이상의 결과로부터 원예활동 복합 환경교육 프로그램 은 초등학생의 환경교육에 유의미하게 긍정적인 영향을 끼친다고 할 수 있다. 환경교육은 단순한 지식습득이나 이해의 교육이 아니라 태도와 가치관 교육이며, 습관의 형성에 의한 교육이기에 어린시기 에 이루어질수록 그 효과가 크다. 이에 초등학생의 환경교육은 환 경, 생태계 등에 대한 일반적 개념이 형성되는 시기라는 점에서 매 우 중요하며, 본 연구의 원예활동 복합 환경교육 프로그램의 실시 전후 결과는 초등학생을 위한 환경교육에 중요한 역할을 담당할 수 있을 것이라 판단된다. 향후 각 환경교육 커리큘럼에 대응하는 환경 인식, 태도, 행동부문별 세밀한 분석에 관한 연구가 진행될 경우, 각 커리큘럼에 대응하는 부문의 긍정적 효과를 도출하는 데에 보다 유 용할 것으로 판단되며, 이는 보다 효과적인 초등학생 대상의 환경교 육 프로그램의 설계에 도움을 줄 것으로 예상된다.
본 연구는 원예활동이 초등학생의 환경인식과 정서지능에 미치는 영향에 대하여 알아보고자 경상북도 영천시의 한 초등학교의 초등학생 13명을 대상으로 다양한 식물의 양육체험과 재활용을 이용한 원예활동을 2012년 4월 18일부터 7월 18일까지 매주 수요일 주 1회 총 13회 실시하였다. 원예활동 실시 전과 후, 환경인식의 경우, 110점에서 131.8점으로 21.8점이 향상되었다(P<0.01). 정서지능의 경우, 전체 점수는 61.6점에서 70.2점으로 8.6점이 향상되었고(P<0.05), 하위항목인 정서조절의 경우, 20.3점에서 24.1점으로 3.8점이 향상되었다(P<0.05). 또한 정서활용의 경우, 11.5점에서 15.1점으로 3.6점이 향상되었다(P<0.01). 이러한 결과로부터 초등학생을 대상으로 한 방과 후 원예활동이 자연에 대한 올바른 이해와 지식을 높이고 사회적 관계형성에 가장 중요한 요소로 평가되는 정서지능을 높이는 데 효과적이라고 할 수 있다. 차후 초등학생을 대상으로 학교뿐 아니라 가정으로 연계된 원예활동이 장기적인 차원에서 이루어진다면 아동의 정서와 관련된 사회적 문제를 해결하는 데 큰 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다.
In this paper, augmented reality (AR)-based sensor awareness and data visualization for environmental information monitoring of structures without the limitations of time and space is proposed. The proposed technique will improves the work efficiency and help to maintain good health for modern people by providing a comfortable indoor environment.
The aim of this study is to clarify what influence has on elementary school children's environmental awareness in time of teaching environmental problems from an animistic viewpoint and from non-animistic viewpoint.
For this purpose, this study carried out its research targeting 126 students in fourth grade at M elementary school located in U Metropolitan City. This study suggested the environmental problems by re-edifying the already suggested environmental problems from an animistic viewpoint to 62 students for two classes which were classified as an experimental group after sampling 10 cases of the representative environmental problems that might derive from the earth system, and conducted the class on 10 main topics relevant to the problematic situation of environment with an animistic viewpoint excluded targeting the remaining 64 students forming a comparison group.
The results of this study were as follows:
First, there appeared an ex-ante ex-post statistically significant difference in the awareness of environmental problems from the experimental group which received an environmental class from an animistic viewpoint. However, there didn't appear a statistically significant difference from the comparison group. This study interprets this result to mean that elementary students' awareness of environmental problems increase because they think about the environmental problems by associating them with a problem of life when the students receive the environmental class from an animistic viewpoint.
Second, there appeared an ex-ante ex-post statistically significant difference in the awareness of environmental problems from the experimental group which received an environmental class from an animistic viewpoint. However, there didn't appear a statistically significant difference from the comparison group. Regarding this aspect, this study believes that the experimental group shows much higher willingness to environmental act in comparison with the comparison group because elementary school students think of inanimate objects as living things.
The sense of crisis on seriousness of earth environment is gradually getting greater and the importance of environment education followed by this trend is being highlighted. As an environment friendly New Environmental Paradigm opposed to the human Dominant Social Paradigm on the existing environment is on the rise, the environment education considers not only the perceptive field, but the definitive field and behavioral pattern to follow as important values. Accordingly, the basic awareness of students on environment was found out in order to perform a proper environment education and tried to find out the behavior pattern that the students have on environment on this basis .
For the research tool of this study, the one that has revised the Revised NEP Scale for elementary school students which Geum, Ji Hun․Kim, Jin Mo have validated the feasibility and reliability while the test paper was prepared by dividing into recycling behavior, energy preservation behavior and source of information. The target of this study was 600 students in sixth grade of elementary school residing in Kimhae, Gyeongsangnamdo while the mean, average, standard deviation, independent t-test and correlation analysis were performed using SPSS 15.0 statistics program for a total of 462 copies including 235 copies from male students and 227 copies from female students.
The results of this study are as follows.
First, everyone had high pro-NEP tendencies on the environmental problem with 4.14. On the other hand, the anti-NEP did not have high awareness standard with 2.98.
Second, the awareness level on resource recycling was shown as being quite high with 4.05. Between NEP and resource recycling, a positive correlation of r=.155 was shown so that the awareness level on resource recycling was getting quite high as the awareness on environment problem was getting higher.
Third, the awareness level on energy saving activity was shown as being very high with 3.0. Between NEP and resource recycling, a positive correlation of r=.210 so that the awareness level on energy saving was getting quite high as the awareness on environment problem was getting higher.
Fourth, for the source of information on environmental problems of region, our country and global village, the television and internet were shown as main sources of information while the ratio of positive answers on teachers and region as sources of information was shown as quite low.
This study investigated the environmental awareness synthetically with the drawing activity for making up for the weak points in the writing test that cannot measure emotional aspects. This study found that students have negative viewpoints on reasonable judgement for the present and future environment of the earth, while they show hope to live in better environment in their mind. Furthermore, it found that the drawing activity can be adopted as a complement for the traditional measuring method of the environmental awareness, through which this middle school students' sensibility to the environment can be shown. It also inferred that the drawing activity can be used as a way of education during school classes for environment and it can increase the sensibility to the environment in mind.
