        The VI CCD photometry is made for stars in the globular cluster M22 down to V ≈ 19m, I ≈ 18m. In the color-magnitude diagram (CMD), red giant branch (RGB), asymtotic giant branch (AGB) and blue horizontal branch (BHB) are well defined. The luminosity functions (LF) of RGB, AGB and BHB stars are derived, discussing deficient gaps and bumps in the CMD. The anomalously wide RGB seen in the BV photometric system is found to disappear in the VI photometric system.

        To understand the basic physics underlying large spatial fluctuations of intensity and Doppler shift, we have investigated the dynamical charctersitics of the transition region of the quiet sun by analyzing a raster scan of high resolution UV spectral band containing H Lyman lines and a S VI line. The spectra were taken from a quiet area of 100"×100" located near the disk center by SUMER on board SOHO. The spectral band ranges from 906 Å to 950 Å with spatial and spectral resolution of 1" and 0.044 Å, respectively. The parameters of individual spectral lines were determined from a single Gaussian fit to each spectral line. Then, spatial correlation analyses have been made among the line parameters. Important findings emerged from the present analysis are as follows. (1) The integrated intensity maps of the observed area of H I 931 line (1×10 4 K) and S VI 933 line (2×10 5 K) look very smilar to each other with the same characterstic size of 5". An important difference, however, is that the intensity ratio of brighter network regions to darker cell regions is much larger in S VI 933 line than that in H I 931 line. (2) Dynamical features represented by Doppler shifts and line widths are smaller than those features seen in intensity maps. The features are found to be changing rapidly with time within a time scale shorter than the integration time, 110 seconds, while the intensity structure remains nearly unchanged during the same time interval. (3) The line intensity of S VI is quite strongly correlated with that of H I lines, but the Doppler shift correlation between the two lines is not as strong as the intensity correlation. The correlation length of the intensity structure is found to be about 5.7' (4100 km), which is at least 3 times larger than that of the velocity structure. These findings support the notion that the basic unit of the transition region of the quiet sun is a loop-like structure with a size of a few 10 3 km, within which a number of unresolved smaller velocity structures are present.

        The purpose of this paper is to survey various recipes of the roasted beef with twenty three classical cookboods written before 1943. The roasted beefis found total 32 times in the literature which can be classified into seven groups such as the roasted rib, roasted foot, roasted tail, roasted heart, roasted gall, roasted kidney and roasted fresh meat. The most frequent one is the roasted rib appearing eight times and the next is the roasted sliced beef with seasoning appearing seven. This proves that the those recipes have been the most favorite ones to Korean people for a long time. The roasted rib has been found since the middle of the 17th century, but the process of roasting ribs again with seasoning after three successions of dipping shortly into cold water in the midst of roast wasz disappeared. The roasted sliced beef with seasoning originated since the late 18th century, and the roasted beef with salt since the early 19th century which has been inherited as the roasted raw upper part of roasted beef recipes have been continued until today in the similar manner. Generally the roasted meat with bones and the roasted internal organs started in 1766 earlier than the roasted fresh meat by a century. The main ingredients were rib, foot, tail, heart, gall, kidney, fresh meat and knee bone, and the seasonings were mixtures of scallion stalk, garlic, pepper, oil, soy sauce and sesame seed powder. And peculiarly salted shrimp, pear juice, ginger were added to seasonings and pine nut powder was used as decorating ingredient.

        The kinetics of the addition of thiourea to cinnamenylisophorone derivatives(X : H, p-Br, p-CH3 m-CH3, p-OCH3) was investigated using ultraviolet spectrophotometry in 20%(v/v) dioxane-H2O at 25℃. A rate equation which can be applied over wide pH range(pH 1.0~13.0) was obtained. In order to investigate the substituent effects of cinnamenylisophorone derivatives. Hammett constant was plotted. As the result, the rate of uncleophilic addition of thiourea to cinnamenylisophorone derivatives was facilitated by electron donating group. It was found that addition of neutral thiourea which was not dissociated at the pH 1.0~9.0 was proceeded, the reaction was proceeded by addition of dissociated anion of thiourea above the pH 10.0. On the basis of this kinetic study, the reaction mechanism of nucleophilic addition of thiourea was investigated.

        본 시험은 침투성 살충제의 적송 근계주변 토중처리에 의한 솔잎혹파리의 방제효과를 검토하여 유교 살충제의 선발, 나아가 현행 근계주변 토중처리 방법을 성력적인 처리방법으로 개선하기 위하여 실시하였다. Aldicarb, Carbofuran, Disulfoton를 고시, 흉고직후 cm 당 5g(유효성분량)을 근계주변원형처리(6월 25일)하여 솔잎 혹파리의 방제효과를 검토하였다. 처리는 솥잎혹파리의 방제효과가 우수하였으나 Disyston 처리의 방제효과는 낮은 편이었다. 난, 무처리에서 건전엽률, 피해흔적엽율은 각각 인데 비하여 처리에서는 그들이 각각 이었고 처리에서는 각각 이었으며 처리에서는 각각 이었다. 처리방법 개선을 위한 시험에서는 공시, 균고직경 cm 당 5g(유교성분량)을 6월 2일에 점식구 처리 (Pit treatment), 방사상식고랑처리(Radical furrow treatment), 근계주변 원형식고랑처리(Circle furrow treatment)로 나누어 실시하였다. 점식구멍처리에서는 구멍수의 증가에 따라 충영엽율이 낮었으며 방사상식고랑처리는 고랑수에 따른 충영엽율에 현저한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 그리고 현행 근계주변 원형식고랑처리는 점식 3구멍처리와 대등한 솔잎혹파리의 방제효과가 있었다. 결론으로 과 의 토중처리효과는 대등하여 의 대체 가능하다고 보며 의 점식 3구멍 처리방법을 도입함으로서 토중처리에 소요되는 노동력을 크게 절감할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

        The pure polypropylen rope has been used for the head rope, and the lead cored polypropylen rope for the ground rope in the anchovy boat seine. These ropes revealed the disadvantage that deforms the net shape due to their elongation. Te improve the disadvantage, authors developed the rope of new construction which is cored by wires and wrapped by polypropylene fibers, 20mm in diameter for the head rope and 40tnm for the ground rope. To compare the physical properties of the improved rope with the conventional ones, some factors are valued and the following results are found. 1. The improved ropes rev~al some disadvantages, such as the head rope is heavier, the ground rope lighter, and both of them are stiffer than the conventional ones, contrary to the required condition of ropes) However no special difficulties are found in practical use. 2. The improved ropes display much advantages, such as elongation is 30 percent less, breaking strength is 35 precent greater, and elastic recovery is 10 percent greater than the conventional ones. Thus, it is considered that the improved ropes are more suitable for the head rope and the ground rope of the anchouy boat seine net than the conventional ones.
