        The global power generation industry is becoming a key power generation industry with gas power generation and renewable energy solar power generation. This research aims to focus on solving two problems as a method to improve the solar light collection efficiency among fixed variable deformation methods. Maintaining the proper temperature of the water injection device through automatic temperature detection to solve efficiency degradation, and establishing an automatic operation system by finding the optimal angle for each season, are intended to derive a value that can represent the optimal power generation.

        Today, conventional CVT equipped vehicle controls engine torque and gear ratio by using engine torque map and shifting map. But this control process is difficult to optimize the fuel economy when the driving mode is changed arbitrary. In this study, I propose the real-time CVT control with considering the power loss of transmission system to improve vehicle fuel economy and drivability. The driving performance and fuel economy of the proposed control logic is analyzed by backward simulation and the validity of new control logic is verified.

        With the advent of lean-six sigma era, an extensive use of analytic tools such as control charts is required in the field of manufacturing. In relation to statistical quality control (SQC) or process control (SPC), the Korean standards have undergone a meaningful change. In this study, the theoretic backgrounds for evaluating the control limits in connection with the variable control charts are examined in view of better understanding the related constants and coefficients. This paper is intended to help the quality control practitioners understand the mathematical backgrounds by comparing related quality control constants and also to encourage them to make use of and to take the advantage of the variable control charts which are very useful for implementing the concept of lean-six sigma in many industrial sites.

        The author introduces a test platform system that has been developed for variable-speed control moment gyroscopes(VCMGs). VCMGs are important actuators for spacecraft attitude control. The test platform consists of two VCMGs driven by servo motors and sensor modules. The control program has been coded by the NI LabVIEW. Accelerometers and gyros have been used to measure the attitude angle and angular speed of the platform. The 2nd order low pass filters have effectively filtered out noises from measurements. Wheel speeds and gimbal angles have been controlled satisfactory by PI control. Through some tests, moment generation has been verified. The moment has been generated as commanded. However, friction effect by a ball bearing, that supports the platform’s rotation, has been not negligible. As further studies, friction reduction will be studied. In conclusion, this test platform will be used for engineering education and research.

        풍하중에 의해 발생된 진동을 저감함으로써 구조물의 내풍성능을 개선하기 위하여 동조질량감쇠기가 많이 사용되어 왔으며, 초고층 초장대 구조물과 같이 매우 큰 주기를 가지는 구조물에도 그 적용방안이 확대되고 있다. 구조물이 가지는 초장주기 특성에 의해 TMD의 거동 또한 초장주기 특성을 보유하게 되고 구조물 진동변위의 수 배에 이르는 질량 이송거리가 요구된다. TMD의 이송거리가 매우 커짐에 따라 TMD 설치공간을 초과할 뿐만 아니라 TMD를 구성하는 스프링, 가이드 레일과 같은 부품의 제조가 불가능하게 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 구조물의 제어성능을 유지하면서 이송거리(stroke)를 효과적으로 줄일 수 있는 새로운 타입의 TMD를 제안하고 이들이 구조물의 진동제어성능에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다. 제안하는 TMD는 이송거리에 따라 마찰력이 조정되는 장치로써 이송거리가 증가함에 따라 마찰력을 인위적으로 조절하여 최대 이송거리를 줄이는 시스템으로 이러한 변동마찰에 따른 구조물의 제어성능, 이송거리 저감을 초장주기 독립주탑을 대상으로 수치해석을 수행하엿다. 해석결과 본 연구에서 제안된 변동마찰형 TMD는 기존의 선형 TMD에 비해 이송거리를 크게 줄이면서 진동저감효과는 유사한 것으로 나타났다.

        본 연구는 청소년들의 인터넷 게임동기에 있어서 사교성과 공격성이 그들의 대인관계에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 연구결과, 인터넷게임 동기(사교성, 공격성)에 따라 가상적 대인관계는 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 청소년들의 인터넷게임 동기는 그들의 가상적 대인관계에 영향을 끼치기 때문에, 공격성보다는 사교성의 동기로 인터넷게임을 하도록 장려하고, 올바른 가상적 대인관계를 형성할 수 있도록 유도하는 것이 필요하다.

        가변단면 압출기술은 사용하는 금형의 조합에 의해 다양한 가공이 가능한 성형공법으로, 압출시에 금형의 움직임에 의하여 제품의 단면형상을 변화시키거나, 치수와 두께를 동시에 변화시킬 수 있다. 압출공정에서 압출속도, 압출압력, 압출온도는 압출품의 표면결함이나 내부품질에 있어 중요한 영향인자이다. 그중 일정한 압출속도는 균일한 메탈 플로를 형성하여 성형품질에 있어서 고른 상태를 유지하게 만드는 요소이다. 기존의 압출 성형에서 펌프토출양의 변화에 의한 추출속도변동 문제는 램 속도의 변화를 계측하고 토출 양을 조정함으로써 압출속도를 제어하는 방법으로 해결한다. 그러나 가변단면 압출공정에서는 제품의 단면형상의 변화에 따라 압출비가 변하므로 이에 따른 램 속도 제어가 있어야만 한다. 본 연구에서는 가변단면 압출공정에서 가공형상에 따른 제어 알고리즘을 제시하여 가변 형상에 따른 램의 이동 속도 및 위치를 제공하려 한다.

The unified control limits for acceptance control chart when considering both APL(Acceptable Process Level) and RPL(Rejectable Process Level) are proposed. The control limits can be also extended to the acceptance control chart with unknown process standard deviation.

        This paper investigate vibration suppression by the active variable stiffness system (AVS system). AVS system can change its stiffness by special elements called on-off elements. The control logic deciding on-off states of on-off element is based on the method of dividing phase plane. A phase plane is composed of displacement and velocity axis. This control logic is easily applicable to both single and multi degree of system, because it is local control logic that determines on-off states according to the relative displacement and velocity between the floors in which each on-off element is installed. By this control logic, on-off elements can absorb and dissipate the earthquake energy. On-off element is on state when the sign of displacement multiplied by velocity is positive, because on-off element absorb the system vibration energy. Conversely, on-off element is off state when the sign of displacement multiplied by velocity is negative, because on-off element dissipate the absorbed system vibration energy. The effectiveness of this control logic can be proved in the second way through the active control experiment using the active mass damper (AMD).

        Even though the ad hoc Shewhart methods remain controversial due to various mathematical flaws, there is little disagreement among researchers and practitioners when a set of process data has a skewness distribution. In the context and language of process control, the error related to the process data shows that time to signal increases when a control parameter shifts to a skewness direction. In real-world industrial settings, however, quality practitioners often need to consider a skewness distribution. To address this situation, we developed an enhanced design method to utilize advantages of the traditional attribute control chart and to overcome its associated shortcomings. The proposed design method minimizes bias, i.e., an average time to signal for the shift of process from the target value (ATS) curve, as well as it applies a variable sampling interval (VSI) method to an attribute control chart for detecting a process shift efficiently. The results of the factorial experiment obtained by various parameter circumstances show that the VSI c control chart using nearly unbiased ATS design provides the smallest decreasing rate in ATS among other charts for all experimental cases.

        The Variable Structure System(VSS) will be of much intrest to educators and design engineers who wish to demonstrate and investigate sophisticated position control methods and their applications. This paper describes DC motor position control by means of VSS concept. The control scheme is derived, implemented and tested in the laboratory where IBM AT computer has been used as a digital controller to control a representative servo system. The control system schematic is given and sample results are shown for illustration. This experiment may serve as a basis for further application of VSS.
