        Intermuscular fat is essential for enhancing the flavor and texture of cultured meat. Mesenchymal stem cells derived from intermuscular adipose tissues are a source of intermuscular fat. Therefore, as a step towards developing a platform to derive intermuscular fat from mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) for insertion between myofibrils in cultured beef, an advanced protocol of intermuscular adipose tissue dissociation effective to the isolation of MSCs from intermuscular adipose tissues was developed in cattle. To accomplish this, physical steps were added to the enzymatic dissociation of intermuscular adipose tissues, and the MSCs were established from primary cells dissociated with physical step-free and step-added enzymatic dissociation protocols. The application of a physical step (intensive shaking up) at 5 minutes intervals during enzymatic dissociation resulted in the greatest number of primary cells derived from intermuscular adipose tissues, showed effective formation of colony forming units-fibroblasts (CFU-Fs) from the retrieved primary cells, and generated MSCs with no increase in doubling time. Thus, this protocol will contribute to the stable supply of good quality adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADMSCs) as a fat source for the production of marbled cultured beef.

        Cyanobacterial resting cells, such as akinetes, are important seed cells for cyanobacteria’s early development and bloom. Due to their importance, various methods have been attempted to isolate resting cells present in the sediment. Ludox is a solution mainly used for cell separation in marine sediments, but finding an accurate method for use in freshwater is difficult. This study compared the two most commonly used Ludox methods (direct sediment treatment and sediment distilled water suspension treatment). Furthermore, we proposed a highly efficient method for isolating cyanobacterial resting cells and eDNA amplification from freshwater sediments. Most of the resting cells found in the sediment were akinete to the Nostocale and were similar to those of Dolichospermum, Cylindrospermum, and Aphanizomenon. Twenty times more akinetes were found in the conical tube column using the sediment that had no treatment than in the sample treated by suspending the sediment in distilled water. Akinete separated through Ludox were mainly spread over the upper and lower layers in the column rather than concentrated at a specific depth in the column layer. The mibC, Geo, and 16S rDNA genes were successfully amplified using the sediment directly in the sample. However, the amplification products of all genes were not found in the sample in which the sediment was suspended in distilled water. Therefore, 5 g to 10 g of sediment is used without pretreatment when isolating cyanobacterial resting cells from freshwater sediment. Cell isolation and gene amplification efficiency are high when four times the volume of Ludox is added. The Ludox treatment method presented in this study isolates cyanobacterial resting cells in freshwater sediment, and the same efficiency may not appear in other biotas. Therefore, to apply Ludox to the separation of other biotas, it is necessary to conduct a pre-experiment to determine the sediment pretreatment method and the water layer where the target organism exists.

        In 1951, Colin Russell Austin and Min Chueh Chang identified “capacitation”, a special process involving ejaculated spermatozoa in the female reproductive tract. Capacitation is a phenomenon that occurs in vivo , but almost all knowledge of capacitation has been obtained from in vitro studies. Therefore, numerous trials have been performed to establish in vitro capacitation methods for various studies on reproduction. Although a series of studies have been conducted to develop an optimal protocol for inducing capacitation, most have focused on identifying the appropriate chemical compounds to induce the capacitation of boar spermatozoa in vitro. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to identify the optimal incubation time for inducing capacitation in vitro. Duroc semen was incubated for various periods (60, 90, and 120 min) to induce capacitation. Sperm function (sperm motility, motion kinematic parameters, and capacitation status) was evaluated. The results showed that total sperm motility, rapid sperm motility, progressive sperm motility, curvilinear velocity, and average path velocity significantly decreased in a time-dependent manner. However, the capacitation status did not show any significant changes. Taken together, these results indicate that an incubation time of more than 60 min suppresses sperm motility and motion kinematic parameters. Therefore, we suggest that 60 min may be the best incubation time to induce capacitation without negative effects on sperm motility and motion kinematics in boar spermatozoa in vitro.

        홍잠은 숙잠(熟蠶)을 수증기로 익혀서 인간이 섭취할 수 있도록 제조한 다양한 건강 증진 효과가 있는 천연 건강 식품이다. 현재 표준 제조 방법은 수증기로 찐 홍잠을 보관과 판매의 편의를 위하여 급속 냉동하여 동결 건조를 진행하는 것이다. 그런데, 홍잠을 동결 건조하는 과정은 많 은 시간과 비용을 필요로 하여 홍잠 제품 가격의 인상 요인으로 작용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 홍잠을 수증기로 찐 후 바로 균질 액으로 제조하여 분무 건조하면 분말 제조 비용을 절감할 수 있음을 발견하였다. 그리고 홍잠 균질 액에 식용 단백질 분해 효소를 첨가하여 분해시킨 후, 단 1회의 분무 건조로 제품을 제조할 수 있는 방법을 개발하였다. 특히 홍잠 균질 액이나 효소 분해 홍잠 균질 액은 바로 액상이나 젤리 형태로 일반 또는 환 자용 특수 의료 용도 식품에 활용이 가능함을 보여주었다. 본 연구에서는 생산비용이 감소된 홍잠의 가공 방법을 제안하며 이는 제품 생성의 단가 를 낮추어 제품의 대중화와 양잠 농가의 연관산업 육성을 불러올 것으로 기대된다.

        When exporting nuclear power plants to a third country, the U.S. conditions import countries to join the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Additional Protocol. At the Korea-U.S. summit, Korea also agreed to maintain equal non-proliferation standards. This paper first analyzes how the U.S. applies the conditions for joining additional protocols to export control policies. The U.S. Atomic Energy Act is a general law in the field of nuclear power that governs both civilian and military use of nuclear power. Article 123 stipulates matters related to “cooperation with other countries.” According to Article 123, the United States must conclude a peaceful nuclear cooperation agreement with another country that stipulates nuclear non-proliferation obligations for nuclear cooperation to a “significant” extent. Article 123 of the Nuclear Energy Act presents nine conditions for signing the Nuclear Cooperation Agreement, and matters related to safeguards are stipulated in Nos. 1 and 2, and only IAEA’s Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement (CSA) is specified as requirements under the current law. As a result of analyzing the countries of the nuclear cooperation agreements currently signed by the United States, the United States is evaluating the AP in terms of the policy as an essential item. Among the nuclear agreements with the United States, three countries, Egypt, Brazil, and Argentina do not have AP in effect. Among them, Brazil and Argentina are recognized by the IAEA as replacing the ABACC with the AP, so only Egypt is not a member of the AP. The nuclear agreement between the U.S. and Egypt was signed in 1981 before the AP existed, and all recently signed agreements were identified as AP-effective countries. As a result of reviewing the U.S. export control laws, the U.S. did not legislate the AP as a condition for peaceful nuclear exports. Reflecting the NSG export control guidelines, AP was legislated as an export license requirement only in exporting sensitive nuclear technology (enrichment, reprocessing). However, it is confirmed that the U.S. policy applies AP entry into force as one of the main requirements for determining whether it is harmful to nuclear exports, along with the conclusion of the Nuclear Cooperation Agreement, the application of the Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement, and military alliance. The appropriate scope of application of the Additional Protocol in Korea and its application plan will be suggested through future research.

        Background: Research has been conducted on pain neuroscience education (PNE) for the relief of pain and symptoms associated with chronic neck pain (CNP). Focusing on the neurophysiology and neurobiology of chronic pain, pain processing, and particularly the function of the central nervous system for chronic pain, PNE helps patients to understand the causes of pain. Objectives: To investigate and systematically review interventional studies on the effectiveness of PNE for patients with CNP and to analyze the effect size by performing a meta-analysis. Design: A systematic review and meta-analysis protocol. Methods: The following databases and electronic collections will be searched for primary studies without time limits: PubMed, MEDLINE, OVID Embase, and CENTRAL in the Cochrane Library. Reference lists from identified studies will be manually hand-searched for additional relevant works. Patients 18 years of age and older with nonspecific neck pain lasting 3 months or longer will be included in the study, with exclusion criteria as follows: cancer pain, fractures of the spine or surgical intervention, cognitive impairment that does not allow the patient to follow the PNE program, pregnancy, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and other related pathologies that may prevent full participation in the PNE program. There are no geographic restrictions; however, non- English studies will be excluded. Discussion: This study aims to evaluate the effects of PNE on pain and disability in chronic neck pain. Its results will help clarify whether the use of PNE alone can improve chronic pain. The advantages of systematic reviews include clear definitions and inclusion and exclusion criteria, standardized search formats, and objective independent reviews.

        An implementation of OSEK NM, a network management protocol for automotive embedded systems, has been defined. In this experiment, the NM ID of each ECU of the vehicle is reverse-engineered when the vehicle is parked with a discharged battery, and the power management status and error status of each ECU and node are identified through NM ID OPCODE analysis, Sleep status, and Wake-up status, LIMP HOME status, were analyzed. After analyzing the NM OPCODE to find the faulty ECU, remove the cause of the failure and analyze the sleep mode entry state.In order to prevent the vehicle battery from being discharged, additional research is needed on how to enter the forced sleep mode when a failure not related to vehicle security occurs.

        본 연구의 목적은 형광직물과 재귀반사 소재만으로 제작, 보급되고 있는 현 안전의복에, 광섬유 적용으로 시인성을 높여 야간이나 기상악화 시 안전사고로부터 작업자나 보행자를 보호하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 LED를 촉매로 한 광섬유와, 에너지 하베스팅 기술을 적용하여 설계·제작한 안전조끼를 개발하였다. 안전조끼는 필름에 일체화된 자동 점멸 광섬유에 의해 빛을 방출하도록 설계되었고 이 조끼를 착용한 작업자의 움직임으로, 버려지는 에너지를 수확하 여 광섬유의 발광을 더 지속적으로 구동시키기 위해 에너지 하베스터를 제작하여 부착하였다. 그 결과, 첫째로 조끼 착용자의 신체는 광섬유(optical fiber)와 재귀반사 테이프를 통해 멀리서 인식 가능하도록 시인성이 높아져 사고예방에 도움이 된다. 즉 야간에 실시하는 도로변이나 고지대에서의 작업, 구조대원의 활동, 스포츠 활동 시 사고를 예방하거나, 비상상황이 발생할 경우 광섬유 발광을 변화시키는 신호로 사고 지점을 빨리 발견할 수 있어 인명구조에도 도움이 될 것이다. 둘째, 생활 속 버려지는 에너지를 활용하기 위하여 압전소자 발전 시스템을 개발하여 압전 에너지 하베스팅 장치를 탑재한 결과, 배터리부의 유효 충전량을 활성화하고 보조 충전을 함으로써 에너지를 소량일지라도 효율적으로 생산할 수 있었다. 동시에 안전조끼에 내장하여 제작함으로써 탈착이 용이하도록 하여 활용도를 높였다. 기존 안전 조끼의 경우 야간에 주변 조명이 없을 때는 조끼를 착용한 사람을 인식하는 것이 거의 불가능하지만, 본 연구에서는 안전조끼의 빛 신호로 주변 조명이 없을 때에도 100m 이내에서 착용자를 식별할 수 있었다. 또한 광섬유 적용 안전조끼는 측면에서의 시인성 향상뿐만 아니라 가볍고 (물)세탁이 가능하여 실용적 측면에서 현존하는 LED적용 안전의류보다 우수하다. 그러므로 본 연구에서 개발한, 광섬유와 에너지 하베스터를 장착한 안전조끼는 실용도가 높고 안전사고 발생 예방과 감소, 나아가 인명구조에 이바지할 것으로 추정된다.

        PURPOSES : In this paper, the measurement criteria was determined by assessing the factors influencing the measurement of bending resonance frequency which is not specified in KS F 2437. METHODS : The durability evaluation analysis of concrete beam specimens was performed immediately after freezing and thawing processes. It is primarily aiming at improving the repeatability and reproducibility of measurement results by providing measurement criteria for various measurement factors that can occur during the collection of resonance frequency data. An independent concrete durability test (KS F 2456) was executed with the proposed measurement protocol for evaluation. RESULTS : A measurement protocol was proposed to determine the transverse resonance frequency of concrete beam specimens. CONCLUSIONS : It was concluded that the proposed measurement protocol may be used for the concrete durability test; where the resonance frequency could be stably collected.

        목적 : 시력보정기구의 정확한 교정효과를 위하여 안경의 조제 가공과 피팅, 굴절검사, 그리고 콘택트렌즈 처방 시 검사항목에 대한 실태를 알아보고자 하였다. 방법 : 경기도 지역의 안경원에 근무하고 있는 안경사 53명을 대상으로 설문지를 이용하여 3개의 항목(굴절검사, 조제 가공 및 피팅, 콘택트렌즈 처방)에 관한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 결과 : 굴절검사 항목 중 구안경 착용시력은 50명(94.3%)이 검사하는 것으로 나타났다. P.D.를 측정할 때 사 용하는 도구는 P.D. 미터기가 24명(45.3%), 자동굴절검사기기 측정 결과를 활용하는 경우가 21명(39.6%)이었다. 난시 교정 후 크로스실린더렌즈를 사용하지 않는 경우는 23명(43.4%)으로, 그 이유로는 ‘방법을 모른다’ 17.4%, ‘필요성 을 못 느낀다’ 52.2%, ‘검사 시간이 부족하기 때문’이 26.1%, 기타 4.3%로 나타났다. 콘택트렌즈를 처방한 후 적합한 피팅 상태를 확인하지 않는 경우는 8명(15.1%)이었다. 결론 : 최적의 시력보정기구를 제공하기 위해서는 정확한 굴절검사, 안경의 조제 가공 및 피팅과 콘택트렌즈 처 방이 되어야 하며, 임상 현장에서는 고객에게 시력보정기구의 정확한 교정효과를 제공하기 위해서 필요한 검사들은 반드시 진행되어야 한다.

        우리나라는 세계적인 해운국이자 수산국임에도 불구하고, 최근 선원의 인권 침해에 대한 문제가 지속적으로 조사·보도되고 있다. 특히, 이주 어선원들의 인 권침해 문제는 심각한 수준이다. 국제연합의 인신매매방지의정서 상의 인신매매의 정의는 한국 사회에서 일반적으로 생각하는 ‘사람을 물건처럼 사고파는 것’과는 개념이 다르다. 인신매 매방지의정서 상의 개념은 사기, 강박, 피해자의 지위나 환경 등을 이용하여 성 이나 노동력 등을 착취하는 것을 인신매매로 보고 있다. 현재 이주어선원들의 인권침해 보고서 상에 있는 사례의 수준이라면, 우리나라는 인신매매의 경로국 이자 종착지이다. 미국은 인신매매예방을 위하여 매년 인신매매보고서를 발간하고 있으며, 전 세계 191개국을 조사·평가하여 등급을 정하고 인신매매예방 활동이 취약한 국 가를 3등급으로 지정하여 경제적 제재조치를 가하고 있다. 우리나라는 1등급 국가이지만, 매 년 어선원 문제의 개선에 대해서 지적을 받고 있는 실정이다. 이에 대한 실질적인 개선조치가 없다면 언제든지 2등급 국가로 떨어질 수 있기 때문에 이 분야의 종사자들은 경각심을 가져야 한다. 이 논문에서는 인신매매에 대한 개념을 이해하고 미국의 인신매매방지 활동 등을 살펴보고 우리나라가 이주 어선원들에 대한 인권침해 예방을 위하여 개선 하여야 할 사항 등을 제안하고자 한다. 선원인권침해예방을 위해서는 정부의 실질적인 규제활동과 선원행정집행 공무원들의 교육·훈련이 필요하다.

        Background: The effect of mobilization on lumbar back pain has been fully described in several clinical aspects, but evidence for muscle strength would be still less clear. Objective: To assess the effect of lumbar mobilization on lower limb strength in healthy individuals. Methods and Analysis: Healthy people aged 18-65 will be included regardless of race or sex. Original peer-reviewed primary reporting randomized controlled trials (RCTs) will be included. Electronic databases, such as MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Web of Science, Pedro, CINAHL, ClinicalTrials.gov will be searched from inception until July 30. Only studies published in English will be included in this review. Two reviewers will complete the screening for eligibility independently, and the other two reviewers will also complete the risks of data extraction and bias assessment independently. Lower Limb strength will be assessed as primary outcome, and particular intervention or participant characteristics will be assessed as the secondary outcomes. Meta-analysis will be conducted using Review Manager 5.3.3, and evidence level will be assessed using the method for Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation. Outcomes will be presented as the weighted mean difference or standardized mean difference with 95% CI. If I2 ≤ 50%, P>.1, the fixed effect model will be used, otherwise, random-effects model will be used. Ethics and dissemination: This review might not be necessary ethical approval because it does not require individual patient’s data; these findings will be published in conference presentations or peer-reviewed journal articles.         Objectives: Free Water Protocols (FWPs) are implemented selectively because of mixed evidence on the benefits associated with their use. This retrospective study examines the implementation a long-standing clinical program and descriptively reports rehabilitation and quality care outcomes. Methods: Data were collected over 6 years (n = 575). Inpatient rehabilitation setting. Variables included in this study were age, medical diagnoses, rate of acute care hospital transfers, discharge destinations, length of time on FWP. Results: Cohort consisted of older adults (M = 68.43, SD = 15.11), with diagnosis of stroke (60.2%), brain injury (19.1%), spinal cord injury (7.3%), cardiac (1%), orthopedics (5%), other (13.1%). Acute care hospital transfers occurred in 6% as descriptively compared to national average (14%). Additionally, participants tolerated FWP for days (M = 14.1, SD = 14.4) and most went home following rehabilitation Discussion: This retrospective study concludes the feasibility of implementing a FWP in a rehabilitation facility and reports descriptive outcomes. Experimental research is required for conclusions to be made regarding effectiveness of the FWP for dysphagia.

        형사소송법 제56조는 공판기일의 소송절차에 관한 것으로 공판조서에 기재된 것은 그 공판조서만으로 증명한다고 규율하고 있다. 이는 증거가 치 판단에 대해 자유심증주의를 채택하고 있는 형사소송법의 중대한 예외이다. 위와 같은 공판조서의 배타적 증명력 규정은 상소심에서의 소송 경제를 위한 입법적 결단이라 할 것이다. 공판조서의 배타적 증명력은 공판기일에서의 소송절차에 관한 사항에만 인정된다. 사건의 실체적 내용에 관해서는 배타적 증명력이 인정되지 아니한다. 그 밖에 공판조서가 존재하지 아니하는 경우, 멸실된 경우, 권한 없는 자에 의하여 작성된 경우, 소송관계인들의 이의제기가 있는 경우나 피고인의 공판조서열람권이 침해된 경우, 그리고 공판조서가 위조·변조·허위기재된 경우 등에도 배타적 증명력이 부정된다. 한편 대법원은 공판조서에 명백한 오기가 있는 경우 그 공판조서는 올바른 내용대로 증명력을 가진다고 판시함으로써 제56조의 해석론에 관한 큰 전기를 마련하였다. 위 판례는 공판조서의 배타적 증명력을 다투려는 시도를 계속 부인해 온 그간의 입장으로부터 진일보한 것으로 평가할 수 있다. 공판조서의 근본적인 한계는, 그것에 실제 형사절차에서 있었던 모든 사건을 있는 그대로 기재할 수 없다는 점이다. 따라서 공판조서의 정확성과 신뢰성을 높이려면 공판정에서의 속기·녹음·영상녹화를 보다 활성화할 필요가 있으며, 필요한 경우에는 속기·녹음·영상녹화로 공판조서를 보완·수정하는 것도 가능하도록 해야 한다. 그리고 국민참여재판의 배심원들은 공판조서의 배타적 증명력에 구애받지 않고 평의·평결· 토의할 수 있도록 하는 것이 타당하다.

        Thrips from the genus Frankliniella (Thysanoptera, Thripidae) are a serious insect pest of various crops, including vegetables, fruits and ornamental plants. Thrips cause significant economic damage plants directly by feeding, and indirectly by acting as vectors for the tospoviruses such as Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) and Chrysanthemum stem necrosis virus (CSNV) in chrysanthemum. To investigate the associations of thrips with tospoviruses and their ability to transmit, we have developed a protocol for identifying tospovirus and thrips species simultaneously in an individual thrips sample was successfully conducted. Total RNA was extracted from thrips according to manufacturer’s insturctions of RNeasy mini kit (Quiagen co.), and then TSWV was identified by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) using TSWV specific primers for the N genes. The residual genomic DNA in thrips RNA extract was used as a template to identify thrips species by PCR using universal primers for ITS2 region and subsequently digesting the PCR product by an restriction enzyme (RsaI) In addition, a classification into the species of thrips was confirmed using the nucleotide sequence of PCR products. The developed protocol was applied to investigate the occurrence of viruliferous thrips species in thrips populations collected from chrysanthemum fields. In this study, most of thrips were identified to Frankliniella spp. and thirps that acquire TSWV was 14 % of 65 thrips.

        It is well known fact that the filed asphalt mixture is aged in the truck while hauling and queuing for one to four hours before dumping to the hopper of the paver. This aging, which is called short-term aging (STA), affect the physical and mechanical properties of asphalt mixture. For example, the maximum theoretical density of mixture is changed before and after STA. Therefore, when the asphalt mixture specimen is prepared for testing various physical and mechanical properties in laboratory, the mixture should be STA conditioned by a most-likely STA condition of the field. This is the reason why the STA should be performed properly. This study initiated to investigate STA conditioning protocols, set forth many agencies in the world, and to suggest a proper STA protocol which simulates field HMA condition as most likely as possible. According to this study, it was suggested that the blended loose mix for one specimen poured in a canister should be kept in a drying oven (no forced draft) without cap at 163±2℃ and for 70±15 min for normal HMA mix. This protocol was suggested based on that the absolute viscosity level of the recovered binder after STA should be a similar level of the same binder after a standard RTFO run.
