Resveratrol (3,5,4'-trihydroxystilbene) is a naturally occurring antioxidant found in grapes, grape products such as wine, and some other botanical sources, like peanuts. In grapes, resveratrol occurs both as free resveratrol and piceid, which is 3-β-mono-D-glucoside of resveratrol. In recent years, research on resveratrol has discovered several beneficial biological effects of this compound to human health. These include anticancer activity, cardioprotection, antioxidant activity, inhibition of platelet aggregation, and antiinflammatory activity. So, we conducted this study to develop transgenic rice plants an enhanced phytochemicals associated with reduced cancer risk by overexpression of a peanut RS gene and selected 2 lines, 'Iksan 515' and 'Iksan 526', according to agronomic traits of rice plant and resveratrol contents in rice grain. Resveratrol content of Iksan 515 was increased by 2.3 times until 5 days after seedling and decreased at 7 days after seedling. Expression level of RS gene according to seedling days by Real-time PCR increased until 5 days, but decreased by half at 7 days. Now, we are planning to analyze medicinal function of these high resveratrol rices and development of cultivation technology to increase resveratrol content. Therefore, transgenic rices producing high resveratrol can be used to develop new rices with a cancer chemopreventive role in human medicine.

BPH(Brown planthopper, Nilaparvata lugens Stål) is a major insect of rice and give a lot of damages around Korea, Japan and East-West Asia. BPH often causes heavy losses of up to 60% of rice crop yields in susceptible cultivars. Especially, increase of the environmental friendly cultivation in South Korea has caused the outbreak of BPH rapidly. But few resistant varieties in Korea have known until now. Utilization of R genes in breeding programs has been the most effective and economical strategy for controlling insect resistance. It is reported that Bph1 gene is located on a long side of chromosome 12 and linked to bph2 among reported 18 R genes. BPH resistant "Iksan529" was derived from a cross between HR22538-GHB-36-4(bph2) and Iksan471 at Department of Rice and Winter Cereal Crop, NICS, RDA. Culm length of Iksan529 is 74cm and it shows moderate resistance to blast, and wide spectrum resistance to bacterial blight pathogen(K1, K2, K3) and stripe virus. Especially, Iksan529 was identified bph2 gene using KPM2(co-dominant CAPS marker) and KPM4(resistant-associated marker). When Iksan529 seedling were infested at 2nd and 3rd instar stages of BPH nymphs(Bio-type 1), it showed resistance at one month after infest. Iksan529 will be tested local adaptability for 3 years and deveoped for environmental friendly cultivation.

농업유전자원정보시스템의 구성은 크게 농업유전자원 정보를 관리하는 업무관리시스템과 농업유전자원정보 를 웹 서비스하는 홈페이지 시스템으로 구분할 수 있다. 기존에는 식물, 미생물, 곤충 등 각기 따로 시스템이 구성되어 있었으며, 식물은 종자와 영양체, 미생물은 세균, 곰팡이, 버섯 등이 따로 관리되고 있었다. 이렇게 식물유전자원, 미생물유전자원, 누에유전자원이 각각 개별적이고 이질적인 환경에서 별도로 구축되어 운영 되었던 시스템을 통합하여 농업유전자원정보통합관리시스템으로 구축하였다. MS-SQL 기반의 데이터베이스 를 통합하여 Oracle 10g 기반으로 구축하였고, Migration과 통합을 위한 DB 재설계로 속도개선 및 최적화된 데이터베이스 환경을 구축하였다. X-internet 솔루션인 MiflatForm을 도입하여 인터넷 기반의 시스템 환경을 구축함으로써 기존 C/S 기반의 기능편리성을 제공함과 동시에 Java 기반으로 운영하여 보안 및 기능 편이성을 강화하였다. 본 시스템은 농업유전자원 관리기관에서 권한을 부여받아 사용할 수 있는 중앙 집중형 네트워크 버전으로 정보의 통합관리 및 공유를 통하여 농업유전자원 국가관리체계 확립에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대 된다.

This research was conducted to identify the effect of BAP and NAA on plant regeneration from flower bud of A. macrocephala. Flower buds the plant were used as target explants for tissue culture. Plant tissues were sterilized with each 45ml of 50% ethanol and 0.8% sodium hypochlorite containing 20ul of Tween20 for each 5 minutes, respectively, and then washed 5 times with sterile distilled water. Four pieces of the sterilized explants were cultured in a petri-dish at 25±2℃ under 16hr/day light condition. LS basal medium and BAP (0.2 and 2 mg·L-1) and NAA (0.2 and 2 mg·L-1) were used for the experiment. When the target explants were cultured on the media containing both BAP and NAA, explants of the flower buds were swelled about 15~25mm long and then calli were induced from receptacles at about 20 days after planting. However, there were no significant differences between the concentrations of the phytohormones. In results, normal shoots were successfully regenerated on the media supplemented with 2 mg·L-1 BAP and 0.2 mg·L-1 NAA prior to root induction. However, under the conditions of 0.2 mg·L-1 BAP and 2 mg·L-1 NAA, only roots were induced from the calli instead of shoot regeneration.

Until now many strategies have been used to produce marker-free transgenic plants such as co-transformation with negative selectable markers, site-specific recombination system, transposable elements mediated transformation, and etc. In this research, embryogenic calli induced from japonica rices, Ilmibyeo and Dongjinbyeo, were tranformed with the vector which simultaneously constructed with cre/loxP and argE genes in T-DNA. Transformation efficiencies were comparably lower than those of our previous studies, since the constructed genome size was relatively big (>10Kb). For eliminate the transformed tissues which contained positive selectable marker gene, tunicamycin was treated at regeneration and selection stages, since cre recombinase gene is expressed under the presence of this antibiotics. The plants were selected first under 50 mg․L-1 hygromycin at 28℃ for 2 weeks after the Agrobacterium-infection at 25℃ for 7 days. And then, the regeneration plants were successfully obtained on MS basal regeneration medium containing 0.1 mg․L-1 tunicamycin. The regenerated plants are now acclimatizing in greenhouse and molecular analysis are currently accomplished with these plants.

Flowering is one of the most important developmental programs that plants use to ensure survival and reproductive success. The timing of flowering is under the control of several interdependent pathways. The molecular and genetic background of the interaction between environmental factors and the floral transition in these cultivars are still not reported. TaVRT2 expression is up-regulated in the winter genotypes during the vegetative phase and in photoperiod-sensitive genotypes during short days, and is repressed by vernalization to a level that allows the transition to the reproductive phase. Protein-protein interaction studies revealed that TaVRT-2 interacts with proteins encoded by two important vernalization genes (TaVRT-1/VRN-1 and VRN-2) in wheat. These results support the hypothesis that TaVRT-2 is a putative repressor of the floral transition in wheat. This gene is located on the short arm of homologous group 7 chromosomes in hexapolid wheat. The TaVRT2 acts as a repressor of the floral transition in wheat. We found that the flowering suppressor of flowering suppressor gene might be located on the short arm of chromosome 7D using several chromosomal substitution or aneuploid lines. The genetic map has been constructed from segregation of 370 SSR loci using 210 recombinant inbred lines (RILs), which was established at F7 eneration by the single-seed descent method from F2 family derived from Mironnovavskaya 808 and Chinese Spring. To perform mapping on the TaVRT2 on the homologous group 7 chromosomes, three homogous genes, TaVRT-1, TaVRT-2, TaVRT-3, are isolated from two common wheat cultivars; Chinese Spring (CS), Mironnovavskaya 808 (M808) and nucleotide polymorphisms between two cultivars are detected.

The salt adversely affects normal growth and development by the toxic effects of sodium ion (Na+) absorbed from plants. In different plant species, the difference of salt-tolerance degree is related to ion homeostasis, osmolytes biosynthesis, scavenge of harmful operator and water transportation. This intend that salt-tolerance is a quantitative trait controlled by amount of genes. In the previous study, we selected several tolerant cultivars and landraces from over 1,000 barley germplasms which were screened in a high salt (0.4 %, w/w) reclaimed soil. Among the selected germplasms, we selected a salt-tolerant variety from Tunisia (T76) and a salt-susceptible variety Gwandongpi 41 (G41) in germination and early growth stages. In order to develop salt-tolerant segregating population, we performed the development of a new interspecific barley recombinant inbred line population of PB 71 lines deriving from an interspecific cross between Tunisia 76 (T76) and Gwandongpi 41 (G41). The F1 hybrid was progressed by F4 generation. Germination and seedling growth of the F4 generation (a total of 710 lines) were screened for salt-tolerance in 200 mM NaCl solution for 10 days. Ten days after incubation, salt-tolerance was scored on a scale from 1 (sensitive) to 5 (tolerant). In germination screening for evaluation of salt tolerance, the T76 and G41 as parent pants showed all 100 % germination ratio in control or saline conditions. In addition, the whole F4 generations also showed normal germination ratio over 90 % in control condition, while the only 70.42 % of the that showed germination ratio over 90 % in 200 mM NaCl stress condition. The average score of salt tolerance at the seedling stage of parent plants showed that the salt-tolerant cultivar T76 was 5 and the salt-sensitive cultivar G41 was 3 in saline condition. The average score frequency of F4 generations showed that five (7.04 %) among the PB71 lines possessed the highest score 5 and 40 lines possessed the score 3 (26.76 %) and 2 (29.58 %), respectively. We previously reported that reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction/restriction fragment length polymorphism (RT- PCR/RFLP) was an effective method to identify SMV strains. Using this method a new SMV strain G6H was successfully identified. To introduce resistance locus Rsv4 of V94-5152, we made crosses between two parents, Hwanggumkong and V94-5152, and obtained 6 BC3 F3 progeny lines, which have different size of DNA fragment of Rsv4 locus region. To confirm the virus resistance of progeny lines, artificial inoculation were conducted with 10 SMV strains, G1-G7, G7A, G6H, and G7H. Genomic DNA of tested lines was extracted and used marker genotyping using 9 SSR marker, which covered about 20 cM genetic distance including Rsv4 locus. In the virulence test, only two progeny lines showed resistance to all the SMV strains like a V94-5152. However, the other lines showed necrotic symptoms to G6H strain. It is considered that a minor gene is located near the Rsv4 locus between Satt157 and Sat_254 marker which interacts with G6H. A new strain can be a clue to find a minor gene in the SMV resistance soybean breeding.

콩은 종실 내 20% 이상의 지방질을 가지며, 그 중 필수지방산과 불포화지방산의 함량이 매우 높은 작물이다. 특정형질과 관련된 유전자 특이적 분자마커를 개발하는 과정은 육종의 효율을 높이는 매우 중요한 과정이지만 기술적으로 매우 어렵고, 많은 시간과 노력이 요구된다. 본 실험에서는 지방산대사 관련 유전자 특이적 분자마 커를 개발하기 위하여 이미 알려진 특정 유전자 외 전사조절유전자 집단을 이용하여 콩 종실내 지방산 대사관 련 유전자의 다형성을 발굴하였다. 지방산 대사관련 분자마커 개발은 식물의 지방산 대사에 관여하는 주요 유전자를 동정하고, 염기서열을 확보한 후, Phytozome ftp://ftp.jgi-psf.org/pub/JGI_data/phytozome/v4.0/Osativa 의 DB, 콩과식물의 모델인 Medicago truncatula genome sequencing database(http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/viewer. fcgi?db=nucleotide &val=146322218) 와 NCBI 의 EST DB를 사용하여 분석하였다.

육종시 최종 수확물의 형질을 쉽게 판별할 수 있는 분자마커의 개발은 육종의 연한과 육종에 필요한 비용을 절감시킬 수 있는 중요한 방법을 제공한다. 콩 개화기 관련 유전자 분자마커 개발은 유전자 프로모터 염기서 열의 다형성을 이용한 것으로서 아라비돕시스의 개화기 관련 유전자 염기서열을 찾아 medicago truncatula DB에서 blast search 통해 유의성이 인정되는 후보 유전자군의 프로모터 부위의 염기서열을 이용해 프라이머 를 작성, PCR을 통해 확인하는 실험이다. 실험으로 사용할 콩 품종은 국내 품종 20종과 이미 maturity group이 알려진 외국 품종 7종을 이용했다. 아라비돕시스 개화기 관련 유전자를 이용해 발굴한 프로모터 중 6개 유전 자 프로모터에서 다형성이 관찰되었고, NTSYS를 이용해 phylogenetic tree를 작성한 결과 성숙특성이 특이하 게 다른 큰올, 신팔달 또는 Comet (maturity group 0), Blackhawk (maturity group 1), 등과 만리, 대원, Clark (maturity group 4), Hill (maturity group 5) 등은 서로 다른 집단으로 분리되어 있음을 볼 수 있었다. 이는 프로모 터에서 발견되는 품종간 프로모터 염기서열의 차이와 콩의 성숙기간에는 매우 의미있는 관계가 있음을 증명 하는 결과라 할 수 있다.

It has been reported that bacterial diseases of domestic soybean are bacterial pustule, wildfire, bacterial blight and bacterial brown spot. Among these bacterial diseases, bacterial blight infected by Gram-negative Xanthomonas campestris pv. glycines had been the most issue in soybean diseases. In recently, issue in soybean disease was shifted to wildfire by Gram-negative Pseudomonas syringae pv. tabaci. When infected in nature, symptom of wildfire generally surrounded infected-area of bacterial blight and formed pustule in infective center. Because optimum growth temperature of Wildfire is lower than these of bacterial pustule, Wildfire caused damage to crop yield in later growth stage. In this study, we checked symptoms of bacterial diseases with growth stages of soybean. Also, we surveyed disease severity of single infection, simultaneous infection and sequential infection of bacterial pustule and wildfire.

우리나라 벼 품종의 유전적 배경을 확대하기 위한 기초 자료를 수집하고자, 일본, 중국, 북한 및 기타 벼 재배지역에서 수집한 1,105점의 생육 및 미립관련 형질에 대한 특성평가를 우리나라 198품종과 비교하여 실시하였다. 출수기는 일본 품종인 Aya가 7월5일로 가장 빠른 품종이었으며, 7월10일 이전에 출수하는 극조 생종 4점이 발견되었지만, 216점은 출수되지 못하였다. 간장은 60~90 cm 사이에 분포하였는데, 60 cm 미만의 극단간인 유전자원도 46점이 발견되었다. 수장은 평균 20 cm 내외였고, 25 cm 이상되는 장수형 이삭을 가진 유전자원은 263점 이었다. 수수는 일본과 북한의 유전자원이 개체당 평균 12개의 이삭으로 많은 편이었으며, 20개 이상의 이삭을 가진 유전자원이 18점 있었다. 현미 천립중은 평균 24 g 정도였는데, 30 g 보다 무거운 대립 유전자원이 48점 발견되었다. 조사된 유전자원에는 찰벼 30점, 중간찰 6점 그리고 연한 갈색에서 흑미까 지 다양한 유색미 92점이 포함되었다. 생육형질 및 미립특성 관련 형질을 조사한 결과 초형, 입형 및 쌀 외관 특성에서 다양한 변이를 보였다. 앞으로 이들 유전자원의 병해충 관련 특성을 조사한 후 고품질 및 기능성 품종 육성에 교배모본으로 선발 및 이용할 계획이다.

Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) is one of the most important oilseed crops, having seeds and its edible oil that are highly valued as a traditional food. Many studies have examined the health value of sesame seeds and oil. Among the bioactive components in sesame seeds, lignans and tocopherols have been identified as the major antioxidants responsible for the resistant oxidative deterioration of sesame seeds and oil. These same antioxidants have been reported to have protective effects against human disease such as neurodegenerative disease. This review summarizes the chemical properties of lignans including lipid-soluble lignans, lignan glucosides and tocopherols, and their bioactivities such as antioxidativity and neuroprotection. We also review the biosynthesis of lignan in sesame seeds and transformation of lignans during food processing in sesame oil. Sesame seeds and its antioxidants may be a potent natural agent with both therapeutic applications and use in preventing human illness such as neurodegenerative disease.

This study was conducted in an effort to evaluate the effect of two gibberellin biosynthetic inhitiors, mepiquat chloride (MC 200, 400, 600 ppm) and trinexapac-ethyl ethyl (TNE 100, 200, 300 ppm) on flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) seed oil composition, growth characteristics and seed yield when applied at vegetative stage. A foliar spray of 600 ppm MC was found to be most effective, resulting in decreased plant height, and an increased seed yield (1,963 kg ha-1) with highest oil content (37.2 %). Ripened seed rate ranged 90.2 –91.9% in MC treated flax and 93.7- 94.1% in TE treated flax, respectively. MC treatment increased seed yield 10.9 – 21.6% and TNE treatment also increased 7.9 –11.8% compared to the control. The significant increase of flax seed yield in MC treatment was observed 600 ppm between these concentrations. Two gibberellin biosynthetic inhibitors, MC and TNE were 1.6 – 5.5% more ripened compared to the control. An increased unsaturated fatty acid was observed when higher concentration was applied to flax plant. Endogenous GA4 content was always higher than GA1 content in both MC and TE treatment.

녹두 9개 품종의 관행재배(6월 중순 파종) 각 수확기별 종실과 생력재배(7월 하순 파종, 10월 하순 범용콤바인 일시수확) 종실의 품질을 검토하였다. 관행과 생력재배에 따른 품종별 평균 전분 함량은 다선, 다현 순으로 많았으나 유의차는 없었고, 평균 조단백 함량은 금성, 다현 순으로 많았으나 유의차가 없었으며, 평균 조지방 함량은 다선이 1.62%로 가장 많았고, 평균 vitexin과 isovitexin 함량은 소현이 각각 11.6, 13.9mg/g로 가장 많았 다. 재배법(수확기)에 따른 9개 품종의 평균 전분 함량은 생력재배, 관행재배 1차 수확 순으로 많았고, 평균 조단백 함량은 20.2~19.9%로 차이가 없었으며, 평균 조지방 함량은 생력재배 1.61%, 관행재배 3차 수확 1.55% 순으로 많았고, vitexin과 isovitexin 함량은 관행재배 3차 수확 종실이 가장 적었다. 공시한 9품종의 평균 지방산 조성비는 linoleic acid 36.28%, palmitic acid 28.60%, linolenic acid 13.73%, stearic acid 4.21% 순으로 많았다. Linoleic acid와 palmitic acid는 수확기가 늦을수록, stearic acid는 수확기가 빠를수록 조성비가 높았다. 관행재배 2차 수확 종실의 지방산은 17종으로 가장 많았고, 관행재배 3차 수확과 생력재배 종실의 지방산은 12종으로 적었다. 또한 나물을 재배하여 동결건조 후 색차를 조사한 결과, 관행과 생력재배에 따른 품종별 평균 L*값은 자색배축인 다선이 82.7로 명도가 가장 낮았고, 기타 품종은 비슷하였다. 평균 a*값은 소현이 -3.15로 적색도가 가장 낮았고 어울은 -1.08로 적색도가 가장 높았다. 평균 b*값은 금성 23.98, 소현 22.13 순으 로 황색도가 높았고 자색배축인 다선이 16.04로 황색도가 가장 낮았다. 반면에 모든 색차는 수확기간 차이는 없었다.

Fusarium head blight (FHB), also known as head scab of wheat causes serious yield losses and deteriorated grain and may also contaminate the grain with mycotoxins. Many researches have been conducted to minimize damage caused by FHB and to improve resistance to FHB in many countries. However, little information of FHB in Korean wheats is available. In this study, 23 Korean wheat cultivars and F8 population were evaluated FHB symptoms infected two types of inoculations, both spray and point inoculation. Grain properties of Korean wheat cultivars, including grain morphology, antioxidant activity and ion content, were also evaluated to elucidated the relationship to the degree of infection of FHB. Anbaek, Eunpa and Milsung showed lower degree of infection by spray inoculation than any other cultivars, in spite of higher infection degree than Sumai3, which have been known as resistant to FHB. The degree of infection by point inoculation of Milsung, Gobun and Olgeuru was comparable to that of Sumai3. Poly phenol oxidase activity and total polyphenol content negatively correlated with the degree of infection by spray inoculation (r = -0.388, r = -0.466* respectively). Roundness of grain positively correlated with the degree of infection by point inoculation (r = 0.419*). In F8 population of 234 lines derived from the cross between Sumai3 and Korean wheat cultivar, 33 lines (14.1%) showed lower degree of infection by spray inoculation than parental cultivars, although there was no line comparable resistance of FHB to Sumai3. Fourteen lines (6.0%) showed lower degree of infection by point inoculation than Sumai3 and 135 lines (57.6%) were comparable to Sumai3 and parental cultivars.

Biomass crops have potential as a source of renewable CO2-neutral energy to ease concerns about fossil fuel consumption. Therefore, there is an increasing interest in high biomass crops such as switchgrass (Panicum virgatum L.). Switchgrass is a perennial C4 grass that requires low cost for biomass production. In the previous study, we evaluated forty switchgrass germplasms for biomass yield and classified the germplasms into the high-, medium-, and low-yielding groups. In this experiment, we evaluated response of switchgrass accessions to fertilizer applications. A recommended level of fertilizer was applied to the field and responses of morphological and agronomic characteristics affecting biomass productivity (panicle length, clum length, leaf width, thickness, tiller numbers, effective tiller numbers, seed weight, plant weight) were analyzed. Also, the composition of organic compounds (crude protein, crude fat, ash, glucose, xylose) and mineral elements were analyzed for the two selected lines from each biomass yield group by the levels of exchangeable cations in the soil. Positive correlations were found between biomass yield and content of crude protein, crude fat, ash, T-N, glucose, and xylose. However, no relations were found between biomass yield and mineral elements such as Na, P, K, Fe and Zn. Biomass yield was increased by 1.9-fold by the fertilizer application and the traits most significantly affected by fertilizer application were effective tiller number and plant weight. The accessions that showed less than 10% increase in biomass productivity by the fertilizer application were accession 26, 29, 13, and 18. The influenza neuraminidase (E.C. 3.2.1.18) is an antiviral target of high pharmaceutical interest because of its essential role in cleaving sialic acid residues from surface glycoproteins and facilitating release of virions from infected cell. In this context, polyphenolic compounds including luteolin, rosmarinic acid, and apigenin from Perilla frutescens were evaluated for their inhibitory effect on recombinant virus H1N1 neuraminidase. Among the test compounds, luteolin and rosmarinic acid inhibited the rvH1N1 neuraminidase with an IC50 of 8.4 and 46.7 μM, respectively. The inhibition kinetics analyzed by Dixon plots indicates that luteolin and rosmarinic acid are noncompetitive inhibitor and inhibition constant, Ki, were established as 14.3 and 43.9 μM, respectively. Subsequently, we also analyzed the rosmarinic acid and luteolin contents of 383 accessions of perilla seed germplasms by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The rosmarinic acid and luteolin contents of perilla seeds were ranged from 15.7 μg/g to 2,894.9 μg/g and from 1.6 μg/g to 949.1 μg/g, respectively.

The perilla [Perilla frutescens (L.)], which belongs to the family Lamiaceae, have been used as a not only important traditional source of oil but also used traditional herbal medicine for treating various disease including depression, anxiety, tumor, cough, bacterial and fungal infections, allergy, detoxication and some intestinal disorders in east asian countries. In this context, luteolin isolated from the P. frutescens inhibited the linoleic acid peroxidation catalyzed by soybean lipoxygenase-1 (EC 1.13.11.12, Type 1) with an IC50 of 5.0 μM. To investigate the inhibitory effect of luteolin on dioxygenase enzyme, we assayed soybean lipoxygenase-1 activity with the inhibitor. Soybean lipoxygenase-1 showed time-dependent inhibition in the presence of luteolin. Increasing luteolin concentrations led to the decrease in both the initial velocity (vi) and the steady-state rate (vs) in the progress curve. Thus luteolin showed a simple reversible noncompetitive slow-binding inhibition against soybean lipoxygenase-1 with kinetic parameter (k3 = 0.056 μM-1min-1, k4,= 0.006 μM-1min-1, Ki app = 0.106 μM).

To investigate the possibility of brown rice and germinated brown rice as a functional food, the present study evaluates bio-active components of 70% ethanol extracts from brown rice and germinated brown rice of each 7 varieties. Reducing power have been used to investigate the relative antioxidant activities of extract. The contents of r-oryzanol was measured by spectrophotometric methods and vitamin E was carried out by HPLC. The mineral contents was also determined by ICP (Inductive Coupled Plasma) analysis method. In an anticancer test using NCl-H460 and MCF7 cell lines, the 70% EtOH extracts of brown rice and germinated brown rice showed inhibitory effect of approximately 30% against MCF cell lines (Breast cancer) at 100 ㎍/mL concentration. The extraction yield of tested brown rice and germinated brown rice were 2.05~3.80% and 1.36~3.32%, respectively. The r-oryzanol content from some germinated brown rice showed slightly higher than brown rice. The mean contents of most minerals were also higher in germinated brown rice than brown rice. However, vitamin E contents showed higher in brown rice than germinated brown rice except Keunnun, Hongjinju, Nokmi.
