        이 연구는 제주연안 해역에서 갯녹음의 확산동향과 기후변화로 인한 동계 수온변화(수온상승)가 갯녹음 확산에 미치는 영향을 알아보고 갯녹음 원인생물인 무절석회조류의 번식과 생장을 파악하기 위해 연구되었다. 제주연안의 갯녹음 발생면적은 1998년에는 2,931ha였으나, 2003년에는 4,541ha로 증가하였다. 발생해역도 1998년은 제주도 남부 해역에서 주로 발생했으나, 2003년에는 조천읍, 구좌읍을 제외한 제주도 전역으로 확산되었다. 1992년부터 2004년까지 관측된 2월 평균수온은 갯녹음 해역 15.1℃, 해중림 해역 13.9℃로 갯녹음 해역이 1.2℃가 높게 나타나 두 해역 간 뚜렷한 차이를 보였으나, 8월 수온은 두 해역 간 차이가 없었다. 수온의 장기변동(37년)에서도 갯녹음 해역이 평균 15.3℃인데 비하여 해중림 해역은 평균 14.1℃로 갯녹음 해역이 해중림 해역보다 1.2℃가 높게 나타났다. 연간 수온 증가 값은 갯녹음 해역이 매년 0.038℃씩 증가하고 있는 반면, 해중림 해역은 0.024℃씩 증가하여 장기 수온변동은 갯녹음 해역이 해중림 해역보다 높았다. 이와 같이 기후변화로 인한 지속적인 동계 수온상승은 제주도 갯녹음을 확대시 키고 있음을 시사하고 있다.

        계면중합법은 혼합되지 않은 두 용액에 용해되어 있는 반응성 단량체들이 계면에서 중합되는 기술로 다양한 분야 에 응용되고 있다. 이 중, 수처리 분리막의 경우 m-phenylene diamine과 Trimesoyl chloride를 반응물로 사용하고 있다. 분리 막의 성능은 다양한 중합 성능에 의해 영향을 받고 있으며, 본 연구에서는 유기 용액의 퍼짐 속도가 어떻게 분리막 표면 및 구조에 영향을 주는지를 주사전자현미경을 통해 고찰하였다. 퍼짐 속도는 7.6과 25 mm/sec로 조절하였으며, 유기상 용액은 1~3방울까지 조절하였다. 관찰된 결과는 퍼짐 속도가 7.6 mm/sec에서는 한 방울 떨어트릴 경우, 25 mm/sec에서는 두 방울 떨어트릴 경우 폴리아마이드 막에 균열을 발견할 수 없었다. 반면 나머지 경우에 모두 균열이 발생하였다. 따라서, 초기 유기 용액의 퍼짐 속도는 폴리아마이드 분리막의 성능에 영향을 줄 것으로 관찰되었다.

        Climate change may result in increases in air temperature and shifts in precipitation patterns as the result of increases in atmospheric CO2. Outdoor, naturally sunlit, plant growth chambers referred to as SPAR (Soil Plant Atmosphere Research) chambers are one of the important research facilities under controlled conditions. SPAR provide precise control of the major environmental variables influencing crop growth including temperature, humidity and atmospheric CO2 concentration. Especially the SPAR system is considered as the most realistic approach for studying crop canopy gas exchange including photosynthesis, respiration, transpiration. Indeed, many reports have confirmed that gas exchange values in SPAR is highly associated with dry matter and yield. So SPAR data can be used to develop quantitative relationships and functions, which are then tested against field data. In ARS, the SPAR system is widely used for research on: (1)Response and adaptation of crops and weeds to elevated CO2 and global warming, (2)Developing analytical and management strategies to improve crop utilization and to reduce losses due to the environment, (3)Mechanistic process-level crop simulation models for assessment of agricultural systems.

        The study analyzed the current status of fisheries port market and presented the direction of developments. The fisheries port market has become increasingly widespread due to the aging of the facilities and the scale of the fish product trade, and the number of distribution workers has also increased. The problems of fisheries port market are as follows. First, the transaction structure was changed as the proportion of aquaculture products increased. Second, the trading structure has changed, but it has failed to keep pace with the changes in the production structure. Third, the volume and amount of fish traded in aquaculture products and fish stocks increased. As a result, the growth rate of the fisheries port market is decreasing and profitability is deteriorating. The development direction of the fisheries port market is as follows. First, it is necessary to standardize the fisheries port market facilities, according to the type of fish products. Second, it needs to diversify its trade targets such as processed fish products and imported fish products. Third, it is necessary to diversify the business of the fisheries port market in order to increase profitability.

        Ionic liquid (IL), asymmetric chemical consist of bulky cations and tiny-mobile anions, has been known as promising DNA extraction, separation and preservation agent due to its strong interaction with DNA. However, the interaction underlying DNA-IL complex forming mechanism remains to be elucidated. Herein, we employed three types of ILs (EMIM-Cl, BMIM-Cl, and OMIM-Cl) to investigate the changes of DNA morphology upon the alkyl chain length of ILs by using solid-state nanopore technology combining with atomic force microscopy (AFM). The results of AFM show the different forms of DNA, including aggregate, stretching, and bundling shapes in terms of EMIM-Cl, BMIM-Cl, and OMIM-Cl, respectively, assuming that the shape of DNA-IL complexes is responding to the alkyl chain length of ILs. In DNA translocation experiment. From the alteration of blockade current signals during the DNA pass through the nanopore, we estimate that the shapes of DNA are changed due to the treatment with BMIM-Cl, and OMIM-Cl, which not only increased the blockade current signals about 2-4 times in the case of OMIM, but also decrease the event showing translocation of DNA folding, implying that the alkyl chain affect to DNA stretching and bundling. The results indicate the length of hydrophobic alkyl group of IL plays an important role in determination of DNA morphology, providing their further application in nanopore technique for slowing DNA translocation speed toward discovering protein-DNA interaction or DNA sequencing.

        In order to improve the seismic performance of structures, friction pendulum system (FPS) is the most commonly used seismic isolation device in addition to lead rubber bearing (LRB) in high seismicity area. In a nuclear power plant (NPP) with a large self weight, it is necessary to install a large number of seismic isolation devices, and the position of the center of rigidity varies depending on the arrangement of the seismic isolation devices. Due to the increase in the eccentricity, which is the difference between the center of gravity of the nuclear structure and the center of stiffness of the seismic isolators, an excessive seismic response may occur which could not be considered at the design stage. Three different types of eccentricity models (CASE 1, CASE 2, and CASE 3) were used for seismic response evaluation of seismically isolated NPP due to the increase of eccentricity (0%, 5%, 10%, 15%). The analytical model of the seismic isolation system was compared using the equivalent linear model and the bilinear model. From the results of the seismic response of the seismically isolated NPP with increasing eccentricity, it can be observed that the effect of eccentricity on the seismic response for the equivalent linear model is larger than that for the bilinear model.

        본 연구에서는 그래핀 함량에 따른 고분자 나노섬유의 물리적 특성 변화에 대해 연구하였다. 전기방사법으로 GO PAN 나노섬유 복합체 막을 제조하였으며, 접촉각⋅SEM⋅인장강도에 관한 실험을 진행하였다. GO+계면활성제를 이용 하여 나노섬유에 존재하는 GO의 함량을 증가시켰다. 제조한 나노섬유의 경우 기존의 나노섬유보다 강한 기계적 강도를 나타내었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 수처리 분리막의 연구 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
