본 연구의 목적은 학생들이 과학 이론과 과학 법칙의 차이를 어떻게 이해하고 있는가를 알아보는 것이다. 과학 지식의 서로 다른 종류인 과학 이론과 과학 법칙에 대해서 올바르게 이해하고 있는 것은 과학의 본성을 이해하는 데 있어서 매우 중요함에도 불구하고 이에 대한 연구는 충분히 이루어지지 않고 있기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 서울 지역의 고등학교 학생 32명을 대상으로 개방형 질문으로 구성된 설문을 실시하였다. 조사 결과, 학생들은 '과학 이론은 아직 증명되지 않은 것이며, 과학 법칙은 확실히 증명된 것이다.' 및 '과학 이론이 충분한 증거가 뒷받침되어 증명되면 법칙이 된다.'는 오개념을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 아울러 학생들이 알고 있는 과학 이론의 상당수가 지구과학 과목에 포함되고, 알고 있는 과학 법칙의 대부분이 물리, 화학 과목에 포함되어 있는 것으로 미루어, 지구과학을 덜 과학적인 학문으로 잘못 인식하고 있을 가능성도 보였다. 따라서 과학 이론과 과학 법칙에 대한 분명한 차이를 이해하는 것은 지구과학에 대한 올바른 인식에도 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.

최근 해양환경법제도에 관한 정비작업이 활발하게 진행되고 있는바, 이는 "지속가능한 개발원칙"과 "사전예방주의 윈칙"을 "법(law)"의 형태로 내재화하고 "정책(policy)"으로 실현하기 위한 노력의 일환이라고 할 수 있다. 연안침식 방지, 기후변화 대책마련과 같이 해양환경에 관한 입법수요는 지속될 것으로 예상된다. 향후에는 해양환경 관련 법률의 법체계를 합리적으로 정비함으로써 법률간 연계성 및 정책의 효율성을 제고하는 것이 필요하다. 또한 해양환경을 효율적으로 보전하기 위해서는 법률과 정책의 정비와 함께 체계적인 연구와 조사가 지속적으로 이루어져야 한다.

In an early paper Skumanich suggested the existence of a scaling law relating the mean sunspot magnetic field with the square-root of the photospheric pressure. This was derived from an analysis of a variety of theoretical spot models including those by Yun (1968). These were based on the Schliiter-Temesvary (S- T) similarity assumption. To answer criticisms that such modeling may have unphysical (non-axial maxima) solutions, the S-T model was revisited, Moon et al. (1998), with an improved vector potential function. We consider here the consequences of this work for the scaling relation. We show that by dimensionalizing the lateral force balance equation for the S- T model one finds that a single parameter enters as a characteristic value of the solution. This parameter yields Skumanich's scaling directly. Using an observed universal flux-radius relation for dark solar magnetic features (spots and pores) for comparison, we find good to fair agreement with Yun's characteristic value, however the Moon et al. values deviate significantly.

Gas accidents are increasing every year, whereas the amount of using gas has been sharply increased due to conveniences, low-pollution, thermal efficiency of the gas. Gas accident has been recognizing serious social unstable elements as well as incredible economic damages of casualties of men and properties. For the prevention of the accidents, basic pre-countermeasure must be arranged to reduce gas accidents. The purpose of this study is to find out the strength of preliminary preventable functions against gas accidents throughout reformation of laws and regulations for insurance related in gas laws.

The coastal waters and the adjacent coastal lands strongly influenced by each other and includes islands, transitional and intertidal ares, salt marshes wetlands and beaches. We focus on the coastal zone because of its unique geographical characteristics, Its ecological and economic importance, and the increasing pressures on its integrity. Our coastal zone have been controlled individually about 50 of a different kind of laws, as a result, to reach an individual purpose of the laws, people have developed the coastal zone without considering environmental condition, which brought about ecological destruction, pollution and devastation of the coastal areas. Finally, In 1999, the Coastal Management Act and the Wetlands Conservation Act were established and hereafter the environmental concern has been increased. They will be an important role to preserve our environment of coastal zone. Here I will examine the Laws concerned with environmental management of coastal zone and indicate immanent problems of it. So, I expect that problems will be improved one by one through this paper
