Recently, obesity that is increasingly becoming a major cause of various diseases and safety accidents in work places is emerging as a serious social problem. It is due to economic growth and improvement of living environments. Many researches are trying to find the root cause of obesity. Thus, the main objective of this study is to analyze obesity index of citizens in Seoul which is a metropolis of Korea and a densely populated district. The data used in this study included 179 men and 152 woman subjects who are living in Seoul. Somatotype using Rohrer Index can be classified by 3 types (thin, standard, obesity). In order to analyze a detailed somatotype of citizens, age groups are divided into 30~34, 35~39, 40~49, and 50~59 years according to gender, respectively. In order to compare and analyze data, Coefficient of Variance, Cronbach's Alpha, Rohrer Idex and Drop Value were used in this study. The results of this study can be applied to the comfortable and safe work environments for workers.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the dietary habits and demand for nutrition service of university dormitory residents. Out of 450 questionnaires distributed to the undergraduate and graduate students residing in a university dormitory, 335(74.4%) returned and 265(58.8%) were analyzed. The analyzed sample included 140 males(52.8%) and 125 females(47.2%). The number of undergraduate and graduate students were 183(69.1%) and 82(30.9%), respectively. Male and undergraduate students tend to more frequently use dormitory foodservice than the respective counterpart. About 21% of respondents skipped breakfast everyday and almost 2/3 of respondents skipped breakfast more often than 3~4 times a week. The most often chosen reason for skipping meals was 'lack of time' for lunch and dinner as well as breakfast. Graduate students tend to drink coffee more often than undergraduate students. Male students were more likely to drink carbonated drinks and alcohol compared with female students. Over half(59%) of respondents were taking multivitamins and mineral supplements. About 80% of respondents perceived their health average or above. New residents having moved in to the dormitory less than a semester before tend to perceive their heath status worse than the residents having lived longer in the dormitory. The demand for nutrition service was high as shown by the high percentage of respondents willingness to receive the service: 76% for nutrition assessment service and 63% for nutrition counseling service. Such demand did not differ between males and female respondents. However, graduate students were more willing to participate in nutrition counseling service than undergraduates.
본 연구의 주된 목적은 벡터-기반 보조 정보를 사용하는 대시메트릭 매핑의 방법론을 정련화하고, 그것의 GIS-기반 실행 프로그램을 개발하여, 2000년 서울시 인구밀도 분포도 제작에 적용하는 것이다. 대시메트릭 매핑은 해당 변수와 공간적 연관성을 가지는 보조 정보를 사용하여, 해당 변수의 분포 패턴을 보다 정확하게 재현하는 지도화 방식을 의미한다. 즉, 대시메트릭 매핑은 임의적인공간단위의 데이터를 보조 자료를 이용하여 변환함으로써 기저에 있는 통계적 밀도면(statistical density surface)를 복원하여 제시하는 주제도 제작 기법이다. 중요한 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보조 정보가 가진 범주의 수와 범주 별 가중치 산출 방식을 모두 포괄하는 다중-클래스 대시메트릭 매핑의 일반식이 도출되었다. 둘째, 기존의 연구들에서 사용된 가중치 부여 방식을 정리하여‘인구 비중법’,‘ 표준 밀도법’,‘ 회귀분석법’으로 체계화하였다. 셋째, GIS 환경 하에서 대시메트릭 기법이 실행되는 프로그램이 제작되었다. 넷째, 서울의 2000년 522개 동 별 인구 수를 기본 데이터로 하고 벡터-기반의 토지이용현황도를 보조 정보로 하여 세 종류의 대시메트릭 매핑을 실시한 결과 코로플레스 매핑 보다는 기저의 통계적 밀도면을 보다 잘 반영하는 인구밀도 분포도가 제작되었다.

For the hotel industry, the situations having difficulties in management are becoming we planed by the rises of the cost and labor costs, the imbalance between supply and demand, stiffening competitions between the hotels. Therefore, there has been a plan for a great change to attract customers, escaping from the existing form of management in order to secure competitive powers in the food and beverage field. For that purpose, we plan to investigate into the preference of buffet restaurants in ten 5star hotels in Seoul. By the analysis, we also plan to present the menu concepts that stand out and are preferred by the customers in managing semi-buffet restaurants. Therefore, the linear and planar coordinate values of the H Hotels and I Hotels came out both positive(+) as results of a similarity analysis using MOS, we can predict that they would be positioning on the same dimension. Furthermore we can predict that the menu of antipasto, sushi, sashimi and desserts would be positioning on the same dimension as a result of analysis of the most preferred menu by customers for each station in managing a semi-buffet restaurant. Based on these results, there must be continuous supervision over the menu of buffet restaurants.
수도권과 경상 분지 동부일대의 98 개 지진자료에 확장 Coda 규격화법을 적용하여 QP-1과 QS-1을 구하였다. 중심 주파수 1.5 Hz에서 24 Hz로 증가할수록 수도권 일대의 QP-1은 (4.0±9.2)×10-3에서 (4.1±4.2)×10-4로 QS-1은 (5.5±5.6)×10-3에서 (3.4±1.3)×10-4로 감소한다. 경상분지 동부일대의 QP-1은 (5.4±8.8)×10-3에서 (3.7±3.4)×10-4로 QS-1은 (5.7±4.2)×10-3에서 (3.5±1.6)×10-4로 감소한다. 수도권 일대의 결과를 주파수의 지수형태로 나타내면 QP-1와 QS-1는 0.005f-0.89 와 0.004f-0.88이며, 경상분지 동부 일대에서는 0.007f-1.02와 0.006f-0.99로 각각 나타낼 수 있다. 이는 QS-1는 두 지역이 거의 유사하나 QP-1값이 경상 분지 동부 일대가 수도권 일대에 비해 상대적으로 약간 높음을 알 수 있다. 이는 아마도 경상분지 동부 지역의 지각이 지진학적으로 불균질성이 다소 더 크다고 추정된다. 그러나, 세 계의 여러 다른 지역의 값과 비교해 보면 수도권 일대와 경상 분지 동부 일대 지각은 모두 순상지의 범주에 해당하는 값을 나타낸다.
One hundred isola tes of Staphylococcus aureus were obtained from feces samples of patients with food poisoning. The a ntibiotic susceptibility against vari ous antibiotics was examined by disc diffusion test . The S. aureus isolates had 92% resista nce to peni cillin. The human meta pneumovirus(hMPV) is a recently identified Paramyxovi rus associated with acute respiratory tract infect ions(ARIs) ranging from upper ARIs to severe bronchiolitis and pneumonia in humans. We studied the prevalence of this new virus in Seoul from 2005 to 2006 A total of 757 specimens were collected by nasopharyngeal swab from ARI patients and were tested fo1' the presence of hMPV by reverse transcription-PCR. Of these‘ 28 were detected the L gene of hMPV. The age range of the patients with hMPV infection was 1 months to 67 years with similar numbers of females (59 .3%) and males(40.7%) . The main symptoms were cough(100%) , fever (82 .1%) , nasal mucus(67.8%) ‘ vomit(25%) . diarrhoea( 21. 4%). and difficult breathing(21. 4%) and the main diagnosis we1'e pneumonia, bronchioli tis, nasoharyngiti ts, and rhmJtls Virus activity peaked in March and May. Phylogenetic analysis of the N gene confirmed the existence and si multaneous circulation within one epidemic season of hMPV isolates belonging to two genetic lineages.
This study was to investigate purchase of women for commercial kimchi. Survey was carried out by questionnaire method that is target on 322 female over 20 age in Seoul area. The results of the study was that the way they get kimchi of women answered that they make it by themselves(63.3%). The reason of purchasing is they do not have enough time to make it at their home(43.8%) and its good taste(56.8%) result in their purchase. In the degree of preference about package material, prefer polyethylene(39.6%). Also respondents prefer purchasing poggi kimchi(63.4%) among other different types of kimchi. The promotion facts of purchasing commercial kimchi shows a high score in cold chain system package and specific kimchi development.
본 연구는 2006년 1월 16일부터 25일까지 한강 본류와 5개의 지류에서 월동하는 수조류의 군집이 환경요인에 따라 어떻게 다르게 분포하는지에 대해 알아보고자 수행되었다. 66개의 조사지점에서 14개의 환경요인과 종 분포를 평가 분석하였다. 전체 조사지 역에서 총 65종 39,560개체가 관찰되었으며 이 중 한강 본류에서 48종 28,989개체, 탄천에서 14종 1,395개체, 중랑천에서 15종 2,306개체, 안양천에서 22종 5,990개체, 창릉천에서 18종 283개체 그리고 곡릉천에서 24종 597개체가 각각 관찰되었다. 전체 조사지역에서 가장 높은 우점도를 나타낸 종은 8,960개체(22.65%)가 관찰된 청둥오리 Anas platyrhynchos였으며 다음으로 5,546개체(14.01%)가 관찰된 흰뺨검둥오리 A. poecilorhyncha, 5,243개체(13.25%)의 흰죽지 Aythya ferina, 3,180개체(8.04%)의 댕기흰죽지 Aythya fuligula, 및 2,781개체(7.03%)의 비오리 Mergus merganser 순이었다. 오리류는 총 16종 30,650개체가 관찰되었으며 이중 수면성오리(dabbling ducks)는 8종 18,286개체, 잠수성오리(diving ducks)는 8종 12,364개체였다. 주성분분석의 결과로 나타난 66개 지역의 성분도표를 지역적 특성을 고려하여 크게 4개의 집단으로 분류하였으며 평균 종다양도지수와 균등도지수가 가장 높은 집단은 강폭이 넓고 휴식공간이 상대적으로 많은 탄천, 중랑천, 안양천 등의 도심하천으로 구성된 집단1이었으며 가장 낮은 집단은 한강하류나 상류에 위치한 지역과 곡릉천, 창릉천 등으로 구성된 집단2였다. 서울의 도심하천에서 월동하는 수조류들은 주로 강폭이 넓고 수심이 낮으며 쉴 수 있는 공간이 많은 지역을 선호하였다.
This study was designed to identify the actual state of ready-to-eat street-foods usage in a college-town in northern part of seoul. For the empirical study, data was collected from customers who had eaten street-foods and a survey was conducted from 16 to 30, May 2006. The results showed that many respondents had irregular eating habits. More than 60% of them responded they usually skipped breakfast and the reason was no time. It was shown that they have had Frequent snacks and unbalanced diet. The results of survey are as follows ; 1. The major time for street-foods usage: p.m 3-5 (28.77%). 2. The frequency of street-foods usage: 1-2 times/week (43.85%). 3. The street-foods usage days of the week: weekday (52.79%). 4. The mean cost for the onetime purchase of street-foods usage: 1000-3000won (71.79%). 5. The monthly cost for the purchase of street-foods usage: below 50000won (81.84%). 6. The reason for street-foods usage: mainly convenience (60.61%). 7. The reason for minding street-foods : mainly insanitary (40.50)%. 8. Factors considered when choosing street-foods: tastes of the foods (65.08%). Also, it was shown that over 50% of respondents have considered the street-foods as the worth of meal replacement, and taken effective factor on eating habits for influx of new culture. It was indicated that problems of street-foods usage was the unbalanced nutrition for 81.8% of respondents and suggestions for improving the street-foods were sanitary controls for products for 63.4% of respondents.
The purpose of this study was to analyze evaluation variables of service quality of Korean restaurant especially focused on cold noodle restaurants(CNR). The data were analyzed about customer’s expectation of food service quality, service quality was improved by employee’s service in restaurant and employee education in the focus on CNR. The survey was carried out 423 customers and 50 employees in Seoul and Kyunggi province. All statistical data analyses were conducted using the Statistical Package for the Social Science(SPSS version 10.0). The consumer’s evaluation score of service quality were significantly different by consumer’s characteristics. The well planned service at CNR must be developed according to consumer variables such as sex and age group. The evaluation score of service quality were not significantly different by seasonal variation and consumer’s menu selection. The evaluation score of service qualities in CNR were significantly different between customer variables with employees variables. All of the evaluation points of service quality in employees were significantly higher than customers. This result was show that well-trained employees were important factors in consumer satisfaction. Through the employee education program, consumer oriented service mind mort be to developed in employees and employees’ recognition about the importance of service increased the satisfaction of customer using CNR.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the consumption and perception on the effect of cooked rice mixed with multi-grain (CR-MG). Reason for like and dislike, intake frequency and variables related with the satisfaction of CR-MG were also investigated. The data for the analysis was collected from 315 adults who were residing at Seoul·Kyeonggi and Kangwon area and analyzed by the SPSS 11.0 program. The result showed that 84.8% of the respondents consumed CR-MG, showing significant difference by gender and occupation (p〈0.05). It also revealed that they consumed it knowing their effect, showing significant difference by all general characteristics except for resident area and BMI, respectively. Kind of multi-grain (MG) mixed with cooked rice was high in the order of SoRiTae (80.1%) 〉 brown rice (73.4%) 〉 black rice (72.7%) 〉 waxy rice (61.0%), respectively. As for the mixing type of MG, 61.4% of the respondents preferred non-mixed product rather than pre-mixed product. 2 or 3 kinds were preferred numbers of MG mixed with rice, showing significant difference by age (p〈0.001) and marital status(p〈0.05), respectively. 59.9% of the respondents answered 'high nutritive value more than polished rice' as the major reason for like, whereas 31.3% answered 'greatly rough more than polished rice' as that for dislike, respectively. By the use of multiple regression analysis, it revealed that health was the most significant variable which affect the satisfaction of CR-MG. From these results, it was suggested that in view of the high consumption and intention to continue the intake of CR-MG, following studies should be conducted to improve the preference of CR-MG.
