        Probiotics는 살아있는 미생물로서 섭취했을 때 숙주에게 건강증진효과를 나타내는 미생물이다. 식품 및 제약에서 가장 많이 사용되는 probiotics로는 Lactobacillus와 Bifidobacterium 균주가 있다. 이 유산균들은 장내 정상균총의 유지, 설사 예방 및 개선, 항암, 항대장염, 면역조절, 항고지혈, 항당뇨 효과 등 많은 건강증진 효과를 나타낸다. 최근에 장내 미생물이 에너지 대사, 특히 지방 대사에 영향을 주어 체중을 조절하는데 있어 중요한 역할을 한다는 것이 알려졌다. 이와 더불어 몇몇 probiotic Lactobacillus가 비만 실험동물 뿐만 아니라 비만인에서도 체지방을 조절하는 것으로 나타나 당뇨 및 비만 등과 같은 대사성질환의 예방 및 치료에 있어 유산균의 사용 가능성이 점쳐지고 있다. 그러나 유산균의 항비만 효과 그리고 그에 관한 기전에 대해서는 많은 연구들이 수행되지 않았다. 따라서 유산균의 항비만 효과를 검증하기 위해서는 앞으로 이에 관한 기전에 대해 더 많은 연구들이 진행되어야 하고 궁극적으로 사람에서 그 효과가 검증되어야할 것이다.

        In this paper, we have studied Sogyupyo (小圭表, small noon gnomon) of the Joseon dynasty. According to the Veritable Records of King Sejong (世宗, 1418 - 1450), Daegyupyo (大圭表, large noon gnomon) with a height of 40-feet [尺] was constructed by Jeong, Cho (鄭招) and his colleagues in 1435, and installed around Ganuidae (簡儀臺, platform of Ganui). On the contrary, the details of Sogyupyo are unknown although the shadow length measurements by Daegyupyo and Sogyupyo are found on the Veritable Records of King Myeongjong (明宗, 1545 - 1567). By analysing historical documents and performing experiments, we have investigated the construction details of Sogyupyo including its development year, manufacturer, and installation spot. We have found that Sogyupyo would be manufactured by King Sejong in 1440 and placed around Ganuidae. And Sogyupyo would be five times smaller than Daegyupyo, i.e., 8-feet. On the basis of experiments, we suggest that although it is smaller, Sogyupyo was equipped with a bar [橫梁] and a pin-hole projector [影符] like Daegyupyo in order to produce the observation precision presented in the Veritable Record of King Myeongjong.

        Since the thirteenth century, large scale facilities and various instruments for astronomical observation were built and installed in East Asia. During the Yuan Dynasty, S. ti.ntai (Beijing astronomical observatory in the Yuan Dynasty, 司天臺) was built in Beijing in 1279. Various astronomical instruments, including Ganui (Jianyi, simplified armillary sphere, 簡儀), Yang-yi (upward hemisphere, 仰儀) and Gyupyo (gnomon, 圭表) were installed in this observatory. These astronomical instruments were modified and improved by researchers of the Joseon Dynasty. Ganuidae (Joseon astronomical observatory, 簡儀臺) was built in Gyeongbokgung (or Gyeongbok palace, 景福宮), Seoul. Its scale was 31 Cheok (Korean feet in the Joseon Dynasty, 尺) in height, 47 Cheok in length and 32 Cheok in width. Lee, Cheon (李蕆, 1376~1451), a responsible leader of Ganuidae project, set up various astronomical instruments with his colleagues. Ganui and Jeongbangan (direction-determining board, 正方案) were installed at the top of this observatory. Gyupyo was installed at the west side of this observatory and Honui (armillary sphere, 渾儀) and Honsang (celestial globe, 渾象) were installed in a small pavilion which was located next to Gyupyo. A decade after installation, this observatory was moved to the north-west side of the palace but almost destroyed during Japanese invasion of Korea in 1592 except Ganuidae. We have analyzed documents about Ganuidae and investigated Chinese remains of astronomical observatories and artifacts of astronomical instruments. In this paper, we suggest the appearance, structure, arrangement and scale of Ganuidae, which are expected to be used for the restoration of Ganuidae at some day in the near future.

        지구온난화에 따른 한반도 식생구조의 변화에 맞추어 미황사 사찰림의 현 식생구조분석과 종다양성을 고려한 사찰림의 식생학적 구조분석과 적합한 식생구조 선정 및 관리를 위한 연구를 실시하였다. 본 연구는 식물사회학적 식생구조분석, 식생단위와 환경변수와의 상관관계, 생활형구조분석, 종다양성 분석 등을 실시하였다. 현 사찰림은 식물사회학적 식생구조 분석결과 졸참나무-굴참나무 군락, 붉가시나무군락, 팽나무군락의 식생단위로 구분되었으며, 환경변수 Ca, Mg, P 의 기준에 따라서 팽나무군락과 나머지 군락들(졸참나무-굴참나무군락과 붉가시나무군락)의 두 영역으로 분포하였다. 또한 환경변수 유기물(OM), Ni, Zn 에 따라서 졸참나무-굴참나무군락과 붉가시나무군락의 분포와 상관성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 졸참나무-굴참나무 군락과는 양의 상관관계를 붉가시나무군락과는 음의 상관관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 생활형 R1-2 식물인 조릿대가 관목층 이하에서 우점하고 있으며, 저층부의 종의 단순화를 이루고 있다. 종다양성은 졸참나무-굴참나무 군락이 붉가시나무 군락에 비하여 더 높게 나타났으며, 상록활엽수림으로 이루어진 남은사에 비해서 본 미황사 사찰림의 종다양성이 높게 나타났다. 식물사회학적 분석결과를 통한 식생군락, 조릿대에 의한 저층부 이하의 종의 단순화, 종다양성 및 종균재도를 고려한 미황사 사찰림의 장기적 식생관리가 필요하다 사료된다.

        This study made a comparative analysis of behavioral reaction of squid to red (624nm), green (524nm), blue (460nm) & white LED light, its arrival time for the shadow section by making the shadow section in the central section of a water tank just like the bottom part of a squid jigging vessel, and on-site catching efficiency of LED fishing lamp with control fishing vessel. The color LED light showing the highest squidgathering rate as against the shadow section was found to be blue LED light with 39.3% rate under the dark (0.05lx) condition. Under the brighter condition than 0.05lx, white LED light was found to have the highest gathering rate of 41.5%. In addition, it was found that squid gathering rate was high at the shadow section which showed 6.3-fold brightness difference between the shadow section and bright section. As for the arrival time for the shadow section, blue LED light was found to be the fastest in attracting squids in 192.7 seconds under the dark condition while the red LED light was the fastest in luring squids in 164.6 seconds under the bright condition. The ratio of the squid-jigging operation and sailing in fuel consumption of the fishing vessel loaded with LED fishing lamp is about 7 to 1, showing most of the fuel is consumed more in sailing than in squid-jigging operation. As for a catch of squid, the control vessel loaded with MH (Metal Halide) fishing lamp had more catch of 600-7,080 squids than the vessel loaded with LED fishing lamp having a catch of 260-1,700 squids. In addition, even in the comparison of a catch per automatic jigging machine, the catch of the vessel loaded with MH fishing lamp excelled that of the vessel loaded with LED fishing lamp in 6 operations of squid jigging out of 9 operations. The ratio of hand-jigging and automatic jigging machine (one line) in the LED fishing lamp vessel was 1:1.1 excepting the case of having a catch only using an automatic jigging machine, showing almost the same with each other in catches, while in case of a MH fishing lamp vessel, its ratio against hand-jigging was 1 to 5.8, showing hand-jigging excelled in catches.

        본 연구는 식물사회학적 연구방법에 의해 추이대에 속하는 두륜산 일대의 삼림식생을 분류하고, 삼림식생단위와 환경과의 상관관계를 분석하여 온난화에 따른 식생의 수평적 변화를 구성종과 상관식생의 우점종을 통해 예측하는 것을 목적으로 수행하였다. 삼림식생은 졸참나무-굴참나무군락, 붉가시나무-황칠나무군락, 편백나무식재림 등 3개의 군락단위로 구분되었다. 각 삼림군락의 분포와 환경 요인들과의 상관 관계를 분석하였던 바, 모든 삼림군락에서 출현한 동백나무군강의 식별종, 구분종, 난온대성 낙엽활엽수림의 구성종 요소, 상관식생의 주요종을 통하여 낙엽활엽수림인 졸참나무-굴참나무군락은 굴참나무가 상대적으로 높은 출현율을 보이는 지역부터 점차 상록활엽수림으로 천이가 이루질 것으로 예측된다.

        Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) has constructed online database of the Korean Astronomical Almanac as a part of the 'Knowledge and Information Business Project 2009' supported by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy. Throughout this project, KASI provides both digitized images and extracted text from the almanac covering approximately 240 years. The primary purpose of this paper is to serve as a reference for users of the almanac database. Hence, we introduce the calendar history and kinds of the astronomical almanac used in Korea, and explain the contents of the almanacs according to its appearance time. We also briefly mention the steps employed in constructing the database system and Web site. Since ancient times, astronomical almanacs have been an essential part of daily life. We, therefore, believe that the astronomical almanac database constructed by KASI will prove its usefulness in various fields, and particularly in the study of historical astronomy.

        In the beginning of the Joseon dynasty, the Royal Astronomical Bureau (觀象監, shortly RAB) was established. After the double RAB had settled down by King Sejong (世宗), it continued to function until 1907. Before the Japanese invasion of Korea in 1592, the Joseon court had the Inner RAB in the Gyeongbok Palace (景福宮) and the Outer RAB in the Northen District Gwangwha-Bang (北部廣化坊) at the western side of the Changdeuk Palace (昌德宮). In the reign of King Sukjong (肅宗) the double system of the RAB was transformed into the Geumho-Gate (金虎門) Outer RAB and the Gaeyang-Gate (開陽門) Outer RAB. During the reconstruction of the Gyeongbok Palace in the early reign of King Gojong (高宗), the Gaeyang-Gate Outer RAB was replaced by the Yeongchu-Gate (迎秋門) Outer RAB in 1865. All RAB had the Royal Astronomical Observatory (觀天臺, RAO hereinafter), so called the Soganui-platform (小簡儀臺) on which the Soganui (小簡儀) has been put. The Soganui (小簡儀) is a small simplified armillary sphere. While the Gwangwha-Bang RAO handed down from the reign of King Sejong still exists, other RAOs, such as Gyeongbok Palace RAO, Gaeyang-Gate and Yeongchu-Gate RAOs, do not remain. According to our study, the Changgyeong Palace (昌慶宮) RAO was not indeed the RAO with the Soganui.

        Recently a high-rise building is built in many places. However some problems are occurred in the high-rise buildings. Especially, at the case of the kitchen exhaust using vertical shaft, the kitchen exhaust fan sometimes can not work normally because of unbalance of pressure inside the shaft. In this study, under the assumption that the kitchen exhaust system applied uniformly can not cope with the various changes of the outside environment, the vertical sectional characteristics of a kitchen exhaust using vertial shaft is analyzed. Outside temperature, number of the floors and operating ratio of the vertically connected fan are selected as major parameter. And it is analyzed by a network simulation method. In case of 60 stories building, the standard deviations are 115.6 at the second floor, 74.9 at the 30th floor and 20.7 at the 60th floor. The standard deviation at the lower part is about 5.5 times than the upper part. So the results of the simulation show that the kitchen exhaust system should be installed considering the vertical sectional exhaust characteristics.

        최근 많은 기업 또는 영리단체들은 급변하는 주변환경에 대응하기 위하여 다양한 혁신 방법들을 도입하여 운용하고 있는데, 하나만의 혁신기법들만을 적용한다는 것은 기업 또는 단체들에게 보다 긍정적인 결과를 얻어내기에 부족함이 있다. 본 연구에서는 혁신방법 중에서TRIZ와 6시그마의 혼합방안을 제시하기 위해서 다음의 세 가지 내용을 중점적으로 연구하였다. 첫째, TRIZ와 6시그마의 이론과 운영시스템을 설명하였다. 둘째, TRIZ와 6시그마에 대한 공통점, 차이점, 품질경영측면에서의 비교를 통하여 TRIZ와 6시그마와의 관계를 정립하고 올바른 이해를 제시하였다. 셋째, 6시그마의 진행 단계에서 TRIZ기법이 도움을 줄 수 있는 부분을 분석하고 6시그마와 TRIZ를 혼합한 새로운 모형과 예를 제시하였다.

        팽화홍삼으로부터 용매추출, 용매분획 및 silica gel column chromatography를 반복하여 두 개의 화합물을 분리하였다. 이들 두 화합물의 결정특성, 녹는점, 비선광도, Infrared spectrum 분석 결과, TLC에서의 Rf값, HPLC에서의 retention time 및 NMR 데이터를 측정하여 고찰한 결과 두 개의 화합물은 20(S)-ginsenoside Rg3와 ginsenoside Rg5임을 확인할 수 있었다. 특히 1H- 및 13C-NMR 데이터를 HSQC 및 HMBC와 같은 2D-NMR 실험을 통하여 더욱 정확하게 동정하였다.
