Amphibious operations represent a pivotal military maneuver involving the transfer of landing forces via ships, boats, and aircraft from sea to land. The success of such operations can be the decisive factor in the outcome of a war. Nevertheless, planning an amphibious assault is an intricate and formidable task, demanding careful consideration of numerous variables. This complexity is particularly evident in the formulation of loading plans for troops and equipment onto naval vessels. Historical accounts underscore the profound repercussions of errors in planning and loading on the execution of these operations. In pursuit of efficient loading procedures characterized by precision and time-effectiveness, our study has delved into the realm of optimization modeling. Employing a mixed-integer mathematical programming approach, this optimization model offers a valuable tool to streamline and enhance the preparatory phase of amphibious operations.
PURPOSES : Asphalt pavements are damaged by various causes, such as cracks, potholes due to climate, and traffic environment. Asphalt aging has a significant effect on cracks, which may also form potholes. The purposes of this study are to estimate the change in asphalt binder and mixture performance and to correlate the physicochemical changes of the asphalt binder and mixture performance with aging.
METHODS : The aging process of the asphalt was determined in the laboratory, based on the methods used in previous studies. In terms of consistency (stiffness), crack-resistance performance, moisture susceptibility, SK investigated the binder part, and Shoreki investigated the mixture part depending on the aging time.
RESULTS : The consistency (stiffness) and brittleness of both the asphalt binder and mixture tended to increase with aging. In particular, the crack-resistance performance of the asphalt binder (G*sinδ, ductility, and ΔTc) and mixture (flexural fatigue test and Cantabro test) deteriorated because of asphalt aging. Furthermore, the aging mechanisms (oxidation and polymerization) were identified based on the chemical structure analysis.
CONCLUSIONS : It is confirmed that the aging affected the chemical composition change and the physical properties of the asphalt. Asphalt pavements are significantly affected by the aging characteristics of the binder. It is concluded that the crack-resistance performance of the mixture decreases with aging due to these physical and chemical changes.

In today's industrial society, one observes fierce competition aiming at profit generation among companies, and the utilization of complex machineries and cutting edge science and technology constitutes a constant threat to the life, body, and health of employees. In such a context, it is precisely the purpose of the Industrial Safety and Health Act that is in force to provide protection to the life and health of employees against hazardous and harmful environment and the role of enterprises becomes more and more important in the law. The Industrial Safety and Health Act places the responsibility for preventing industrial accidents on the shoulders of the business employer by providing safety and health information relating to current employees and creating an appropriate work environment. The employer must recognize the importance of prevention of industrial accident and must possess a business philosophy that places top priority on safety when it comes to company management. In light of such practical considerations, the present study approaches to find out the influence of safety and health management on business management from a statistical sample survey point of view. By doing this, the study hopes to show that a through safety management serves to protect the life and health of employees and raise profit for businesses. What is more, the study hopes to demonstrate that promoting a sound business culture can act as fertilizer that promotes the ushering in of a bright society.
According to the statistic of industrial disaster in 2006 presented by the Ministry of Labor, there were 10,235 people with occupational diseases adding 2,740 more people (36.6%) compared to the previous year. Concerning the occupational diseases, 1,607
If you examine the Industrial Disaster Analysis Content that occurs every year in the small and medium enterprise, industrial disaster occurs because of manager's lack of safety and worker's unprepared safety education. Therefore effective safety education systems are needed to offer adequate knowledge and technology to the workers. On this research, to give an effective education way to decrease industrial disaster we administered to the workers who are in charge of 300 workplace in Incheon area to search actual condition of industrial disaster and to disclose a link between industrial disaster and industrial safety education. We put in effect on frequency study and examined x2 using SPSSWIN 10.0. On the research, the results shows that the industrial safety education and training are in effect regularly and the satisfaction are low. But the manager's satisfactions are high through safety education. So it shows that we need to find a way to put in effect safety education to satisfy the workers.
