        In order to prepare high-solid coatings, acrylic resins, HSCs [poly (EA/EMA/2-HEMA/CLA)] that contain 90% solid, were synthesized by copolymerization of ethyl acrylate (EA), ethyl methacrylate (EMA), 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (2-HEMA) and caprolactone acrylate (CLA). The high-solid coatings named as CHSCs (HSCs/HDI-trimer) were prepared by the curing reaction between the acrylic resins containing 90% solid contents and the isocyanates (HDI-trimer) curing agent room temperature. The curing behavior and various properties were examined on the film coated with the both high-solid coatings. The glass transition temperatures (Tg) of CHSCs increased proportionally with increasing the predicted Tg value by Fox equation, and had nothing to do with the solid contents. The prepared film showed good properties for 60˚ specular gloss, impact resistance, cross-hatch adhesion and heat resistance, and bad properties for pencil hardness, drying time, and pot-life. Among the film properties, the heat resistance was very excellent and could be explained by the introduction of functional monomers of CLA.

        본 연구는 국내 7개 회사와 일본과 타이완 기업에서 만들어진 PET POY 사의 습열과 건축수축률을 연구하였다. 이들 사(絲)의 열적수축률들은 hank방법 (KSK 0215)과 Toray FTA-500 장치를 사용하여 측정되었으며 측정된 데이터는 측정방법에 따라 분석되고 토의되어졌다. 준비된 시료는 PET POY 85d/72f와 120d/35f이며 더구나 250d/48f와 155d/50f PET POY가 일본과 국내사 사이의 습열과 건열수축률의 비교를 위해서 역시 준비되어졌다. 그리고 각 시료들의 습열과 건열수축률들은 원사 케이크 내의 사(絲), 50,000m를 1개의 layer로 각각 나누어 각각의 layer 별로 측정되어졌으며 급내와 급간 열수축률이 측정 분석되었으며 국내와 외국 수입사(絲)에 따른 차이를 hank와 Toray 측정방법에 따라 분석하였다.

        This study was focused on the maximization of flame-retardancy of polyesters by a synergism of simultaneously introduced chlorine and phosphorus into polymer chains of modified polyesters. To prepare modified polyesters, reaction intermediates, TD-adduct (prepared from trimethylolpropane/2,4-dichlorobenzoic acid (2,4-DCBA)) and TMBO (prepared from tetramethylene bis(orthophosphate)), were prepared first, then condensation polymerization of the prepared intermediates, adipic acid, and 1,4-butanediol were carried out. In the condensation polymerization, the content of phosphorus was fixed to be 2%, and the content of 2,4-DCBA that provides chlorine component was varied to be 10, 20, and 30wt%, and we designated the prepared modified polyesters containing chlorine and phosphorus as ABTT-10C, -20C, -30C. Two-component PU flame-retardant coatings (ABTTC, ABTTC-10C, ABTTC-20C, ABTTC-30C) were prepared by the curing of synthesized ABTTs with a curing agent of allophanate/trimer at room temperature. To examine the film properties of the prepared PU flame-retardant coatings, film specimens were prepared with the prepared coatings. The film properties of ABTTC, ABTTC-10C and ABTTC-20C, which contain 0, 10 and 20wt% 2,4-DCBA, respectively, were proved to be good, whereas the film properties of ABTTC-30C, which contains 30wt% 2,4-DCBA, was proved to be a little bit poor. Two kinds of flame retardancy tests, ˚45Meckel burner method and LOI method were performed. With the ˚45Meckel burner method, three flame-retardant coatings except ABTTC showed less than 3.4cm of char length, and showed less than 2 seconds of afterflaming and afterglow. From this result, the prepared flame-retardant coatings were proved to have the 1st grade flame retardancy. With the LOI method, the LOI values of the coatings containing more than 10wt% 2,4-DCBA were higher than 30%, which means that the coatings possess good flame retardancy. From these results, it was found that synergistic effect in flame retardancy was taken place by the introduced phosphorus and chlorine.

        It is attempted to develop flame retardant polyurethane coatings, which have received significant attention in recent years. It is the purpose of this study to synthesize new reactive polyurethane coatings containing halogen. Lactone based modified polyester polyols, using trichlorobenzoic acid as chlorine moiety (TBAOs) were synthesized. These polyesters were cured with isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI)-isocyanurate at room temperature (TBAPUs). Physical properties of these flame retardant coatings were similar with those of non-flame retardant coatings. The flammability of coatings was strongly dependent on the chlorine contents. We found that the increasing chlorine contents showed better flame retarding properties and that, however, they also resulted in more smog generation during combustion. The detailed results of flammability test using various methods indicated 24~26% in LOI and 3.7~5.3 cm char length in 45˚ Meckel burner method.

        최근 직물 디자이너를 위한 직물 디자인 CAD, 의류 디자이너를 위한 패턴 디자인 CAD와 같은 상업화된 많은 CAD 시스템이 운영되고 있다. 그러나 소재를 제직하는 직물 제직 공장에서 적용할 수 있는 직물 설계디자인 시스템은 아직까지 운영되고 있지 않다. 그래서 본 연구에서는 직물설계에 관한 데이터 베이스 시스템의 초기 연구로서 여러 가지 실의 번수, 직물조직, 원료소재에 따른 직물의 경사와 위사 밀도를 쉽게 결정할 수 있는 직물 디자인 시스템에 관한 연구를 직물공장에서 사용하고 있는 나일론과 폴리에스테르 등의 합섬직물 설계서를 분석하여 수행하고자 한다.

        The high-solid coatings were prepared by blending the synthesized acrylic resin in the previous paper, and hexamethylene diisocyanate-trimer and curing it at room temperature. The characterization of the films of the prepared coatings was performed. The 60˚ specular gloss, impact resistance, cross-hatch adhesion, and heat resistance of the films proved to be good, and the pencil hardness, drying time, and pot-life proved to be slightly poor. From a viscoelastic measurement using a rigid-body pendulum, curing was accelerated with the Tg value.

        The aim of this study is to synthesis basic resins for the preparation of PU flame-retardant coatings that contain phosphorus and chlorine. After synthesizing intermediates of tetramethylene bis(orthophophate) (TMBO) and neohexanediol trichlorobenzoate (TBA-adduct), the condensation polymerization was performed with the intermediates, 1,4-butanediol, and adipic acid to obtain four-component copolymers. In the condensation polymerization, the content of phosphorus was fixed to be 2%, and the content of trichlorobenzoic acid (TBA) that provides chlorine component was varied to be 10, 20, and 30wt%, and we designated the prepared modified polyesters containing chlorine and phosphorus as TTBA-10C, TTBA-20C and TTBA-30C. Average molecular weight and polydispersity index of the prepared TTBAs decreased with increasing TBA content because of the increase in the number of hydroxyl groups that retards reaction. We found that the thermal stability of the prepared TTBAs increased with chlorine content at high temperatures.

        Copolymers (HSA-98-20, HSA-98-0, HSA-98+20) which are acrylic resin containing 80% solid content were synthesized by the reaction of monomers, including methyl methacrylate, n-butyl acrylate, and 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate with a functional monomer, such as acetoacetoxyethyl methacrylate (AAEM), which may improve in cross-linking density and physical properties of films. The physical properties of prepared acrylic resins, containing AAEM, are as follows : viscosity, 1420~5760cps ; number average molecular weight, 2080~2300 ; polydispersity index, 2.07~2.19 ; conversions, 88~93%, respectively. To prepare acryl resins, four kinds of initiators including α,α'-azobisisobutyronitirile (AIBN), di-tert-butyl peroxide (DTBP), t-amylperoxy-2-ethyl hexanoate (APEH), benzoyl peroxide (BPO) were used. The viscosity of the acrylic resins prepared with these initiators was increased in the order of DTBP〉APEH〉AIBN〉BPO. APEH was proved as a suitable initiator in this study. Shear rates of acrylic resins were constant in respect to viscosity. From these results, it would appear that the resins have Newtonian flow characteristics and good workability.

        To maximize a synergy effect in flame-retardancy of flame-retardant coatings, phosphorus and chlorine were introduced in polymer chains.         본 연구에서는 경사와 위사의 장력에 기인되는 감성 봉제용 직물의 마찰특성을 KES-FB 계측기를 이용하여 분석하였다. 직물의 마찰특성은 직물표면의 마찰계수, 마찰계수의 평균편차, 그리고 표면요철도를 측정하였다. 이들 표면특성치를 분석하기 위해서 75d/36f PET 필라멘트를 경사로 사용하고 100d/192f PET 필라멘트를 위사로 사용하여 5매 주자직 직물을 Omega와 Picanol 직기에서 각각 제직하고 이들을 같이 연결하여 염색가공 공정을 진행시켰다. 이들 가공된 직물의 직물표면특성은 제직시 측정된 경사와 위사의 장력특성과 함께 분석되어 졌으며 직물의 중앙부위와 양 셀베지 부분의 직물 위치에 따른 표면특성의 차이가 분석되어졌다.

        최근 고감성 PET 사를 이용하여 생산한 PET 직물은 고감성 의류용 직물로서 많이 사용되고 있다. 이러한 고감성 의류용 PET 직물은 다양한 공정을 거치면서 장력이나 열 등의 영향을 받음으로서 사의 물성의 변화를 초래하여 감성 의류용도의 PET 직물에 많은 결점을 유발시킴으로서 직물 생산시 공정조건 설정 등의 어려움에 직면하고 있다. 이러한 고감성 의류에 치명적인 문제를 유발하는 문제점에 관한 감성사 제조시의 공정조건 변화와 관련된 연구논문은 많이 발표가 되지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내 7개 원사 Maker의 cake내의 Denier 별 PET 사의 물성을 균일한 길이의 Layer를 설정하여 분석, 조사하고 Layer 별 물성 차이와 습·건열 열처리 온도에 따른 사의 수축률 등을 비교함으로서 감성 의류용 직물 생산에 필요한 기초 물성 Data를 제공하고 PET 사의 품질향상을 도모함으로서 최종 감성 의류용 직물 소재 개발에 기여할 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다.

        Acrylic resin(ACR) was blended with a curing agent, hexamethoxymethylmela-mine(HMMM), in which blending ratio was 70:30. The curing behavior was examined using Rheovibron. Cross-linking reaction started at 170℃ in 2 min of reaction and curing was completed in 10 min. It was found that the extent of cross-linking increased with the content of acetoacetoxyethyl methacrylate monomer in the ACR.

        An acrylic resin was synthesized with several monomers, styrene(St), 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate(2-HEMA), n-butyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, and acetoacetoxyethl methacrylate(AAEM) to prepare a high-solid coatings. Then, a high-solid acryl/melamine coatings was prepared by curing the acrylic resin with a curing agent, hexamethoxymethylmelamine(HMMM). The curing behavior of the acrylic resin with HMMM was investigated by the Ozawa method using DSC. For AAEM/HMMM and 2-HEMA/HMMM curing reactions, activation energies were 33.01 and 27.12 kcal/mol and frequency factors were 9.54×1015 and 1.53×1013 min-1, respectively. From the results, it was found out that 2-HEMA showed higher reactivity with the curing agent than AAEM.

        To prepare a O/W type durable softner(OESA), octadecamidoethylaminoethyl dodecate and tetra (2-dodecamidoethyl) urea synthesized as the main components of softner, were blended with polyoxyethylene(20) oleyl ether, sorbitan sesquioleate, and polyoxyethylene(7) stearyl ether in various compositions. Emulsion stability of OESA was good, and mixed HLB value was 9.7, OESA was found was to be good durable softner for nylon through the examination of softness, lubriation, antistatic property, bending resistance, and color fastness.

        Silicone softner(SSN-3) for permanent press(PP) finish was prepared by blending beef tallow hardened oil for Improving softness, water, the emulsion, which was synthesized from pentaerythritol monostearate as a softening component and silicone oil KF-96 as a lubricating component. The prepared SSN-3 and the PP finishing resin were applied to PP finishing cotton broad cloth and P/C gingham samples using one bath method. The properties such as crease recovery, tear strength, bending resistance test were tested. The samples treated with SSN-3 and PP finishing resin have improved properties, compared with nontreated samples, those treated only with PP finishing resin, those treated with commercial PP finishing softners and PP finishing resin. Also from the bending resistance test, the two kinds of fabric samples treated with SSN-3 of 3% showed grade 5 and these were good enough in feeling.

        Durable softening water repellents for nylon fiber were synthesized, using two compounds: quaternized octadecyl methacrylate-2-diethylaminoethyl methacrylate copolymer as a mother resin of water repellent and quaternized fatty carbamide for improving softness and hydrostatic pressure, of which syntheses were studied in the previous papers. They were blended with waxes and emulsifiers in a variety of ratios and synthesized into water repellent PADWC, and it was nylon taffeta treated with and without textile finishing resin. The synthesized water repellents can be used either or without resin. The optimum curing temperature was 150 to 160℃ and the optimum concentration was 3 to 5wt%. In the independent and conjunct treatment, the water repellency of nylon taffeta samples have no remarkable changes between initial value and that after three times washing, so these prove that the synthesized compounds are durable water repellent. The water repellency of PADWC-3 and -4 were around 90. Also, comparison of crease recovery and tear strength after repelling treatment showed that the synthesized water repellents have a very high softening effect.

        With the recent earthquake measuring 5.4 in Pohang, attention is being raised to the effects of the structures caused by the earthquake. In this study, seismic effect of the tunnel structure was analyzed by the time history analysis method using the measurement results of the nearby structures. Most of the analysis results showed displacement and stress results of one tenth level of the artificial seismic wave using design seismic acceleration, and the actual field survey revealed that the effects of earthquakes were minor.
