심지재배방법을 이용하여 감자 상위급종서의 대량생산기술을 개발하고자 경삽플러그묘를 SP2, PP2 2종류의 배지와 5종류의 심지수(폭 1.5cm, 길이 40cm)를 처리한 스치로폼 베드(길이 51×폭 31.5×높이 20cm, 0.032m3 )에 정식, 재배하여 배지의 물리성과 생육형질을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 수확직후 총공극량은 SP2배지와 PP2배지간에 차이가 없이 83-85% 수준이었다. 가비중은 배지별로는 Jeju scoria가 혼용된 SP2배지가 0.27g. mL1로 높은 비율을 나타내었으며 심지수간에는 일정한 경향을 보이지 않았다. 2. 수확직후 배지내의 수분함유량은 SP2배지보다 PP2배지가 높았으며 심지수간에는 심지수가 많아질수록 55%에서 70%까지 함량이 많아지는 추세를 보였다. 3. 감자 지상부의 생육형질은 심지수가 많아질수록 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 4. 1m2 당 총서중과 괴경평균수량은 SP2배지와 PP2배지 모두 심지수 6개에서 가장 높았다.

제주지역에서 상위급 씨감자 가을채종재배 시 폴리에칠렌(PE)멀칭이 감자의 생육 및 수량성에 미치는 효과를 구명하고자 일반종서, 경삽 및 소서 플러그묘를 2001년 8월 20일에 직파 또는 정식한 후 무멀칭, 투명 및 흑색 PE멀칭재배를 하여 얻어진 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 주당 총서수는 멀칭처리에 큰 영향을 받지 않고 4.6개 내외였으나, 종묘종류별로는 직파구에서 5.14개로 가장 많았고 경삽묘 및 소서묘정식구에서는 각각 4.15, 5.15개였다. 2. 총서수량은 무멀칭구에서 21.16톤/ha이었는데, 투명 및 흑색 PE멀칭에 의하여 각각 16, 8% 증수되었고, 경삽묘정식구가 가장 많았으며 다음으로 소서묘, 직파구 순이었다. 3. 평균서중은 무멀칭구에서 평균 72.2g이었고 투명 및 흑색 PE멀칭에 의하여 각각 14, 12%증가되었는데, 멀칭효과는 경삽묘정식구에서 가장 컸었다.

The standard of quality was required to promote the consumption of potato and produce the high quality processing products. It will contribute the stability for processing products and the marketability of potato. The quality was determined based on size of tuber and content of dry matter. Even though the criteria of potato quality was involved many characters of tubers, the most important things were grading and packing of potato to create the consumption. For processing of raw materials, the standard of tubers had create between producer and processor according to size of tuber and content of dry matter. The evaluation of quality was performed over the standard to enhance the control of quality. In addition, the seed potato should be taken the evaluation to disease in the field during the period of cultivation and managed under the strict regulation in storage before release to farmer. Then, the producer of seed potato will make a good relationship to farmer with high quality tubers.

양액재배산 소괴경의 절단 재배 가능성을 검토하고자 2001년 분무경 양액재배산 괴경을 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13g의 절편이 되도록 1(전서), 2, 3, 4개로 절단하여 플러그묘판에서 출아시켜 이식재배한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 파종 후 35일에 출현율은 절편크기가 7-13g에서 83.0-85.4%, 3, 4절단서 재식구에서 84.0-86.6%로 높았다. 2. 10a당 총서 및 종서규격서 수량은 절편크기가 3g에서 9g으로 증가됨에 따라 10a당 총서수량은 각각 2,052kg과 1,589kg에서 2,924kg과 2,428kg으로 크게 증가되었으나 그 이상 절편의 무게가 증가되었을 때에는 괴경수량의 증가는 크지 않았다. 3. 10a당 총서수량은 전서 재식구에서 1,918kg이었던 것이 3절 절단서 재식구에서 2,982kg로 증가되었고 종서규격서 수량도 전서 재식구에서 1,422kg/10a이었던 것이 3절 절단서 재식구에서 2,579kg으로 증가되었으나 3, 4절 절단서 재식구 간에는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 4. 평균서중은 절편크기가 3g에서 13g으로 증가함에 따라 46.3g에서 71.5g으로 증가되었으며, 전서 및 2절 절단서 재식구의 56.5g과 58.0g보다 3, 4절에서 재식구에서 63.6g과 64.9g으로 무거웠다.

This experiment was conducted to investigate the changes of sugar contents and chip color during 104days storage after harvesting of five potato varieties. The potato varieties were planted on 1st april in 1999 and harvested on 10. July in 1999. NO₂⁻ contents in potato petiole tended to decrease rapidly at tuber maturing stage. K⁺ contents in potato petiole tended to in crease at 70 days ofter planting on medium maturing varieties, and at 90 days after planting on late maturing variety. Snowden variety was no desirable cultivar for processing on spring cultivation due to long growth period. Contents of solid and sugar in potatoes affected on potato chip color. Higher contents of solid in potato varieties showed low sugar contents and no change on chip color during storage.
