        Many enterprises are performing the effective database applications with VAN(Value Added Network) or WAN(Web Added Network) . But it is very difficult and expensive. So we suggest low-cost database system within long distance area through personal computers. This system is very powerful for flexibility. It may be estimated it's value highly because they develop the program without high programming skill. This study would be used between company with company and/or between branch with branch, for example, customer claim information, inventory information, product order etc. It is important not importing document but importing data in document. Then end-user can accomplish analysis and decision-making with their own database. It would enhance productivity in many enterprises.

        Computerized visual database construction of architectural precedents has just begun in some research institutes in the world. In Korea the first visual database has shown its testl version by S architectural design firm in september 1996. In this article the author discusses the historical contexts and the recent computerization cases, the traits, the uses and the limits of architectural visual database system of precedents. The forms and contents of data fields in two cases are compared with a focus on the description of architectural traits of each data entry. Compared to the KIA format, the S database has better performance for architectural design reference because it collects more pictures and drawings and larger texts for the field of architectural chracteristics. But this latter also is constrained by its capacity of memory and so lacks the reciprocity of the DOORS in the Graduate School of Design, Harvard University. A visual database system which has more flexible allocation of memory and respondent with the users is yet to be prepared. But this system also should be maintained by some experts in architectural history, theory and criticism, because their knowledge is essential for selection of precedents and revision of the data description. A full-fledged electronic visual database in architecture will not only save much effort for the architect, but also will change the architects' design behavior. Nevertheless this does not mean the automatic promotion of architects' creativity.

        This study was carried out to build a database system for amylose and protein contents of rice germplasm based on NIRS (Near-Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy) analysis data. The average waxy type amylose contents was 8.7% in landrace, variety and weed type, whereas 10.3% in breeding line. In common rice, the average amylose contents was 22.3% for landrace, 22.7% for variety, 23.6% for weed type and 24.2% for breeding line. Waxy type resources comprised of 5% of the total germplasm collections, whereas low, intermediate and high amylose content resources share 5.5%, 20.5% and 69.0% of total germplasm collections, respectively. The average percent of protein contents was 8.2 for landrace, 8.0 for variety, and 7.9 for weed type and breeding line. The average Variability Index Value was 0.62 in waxy rice, 0.80 in common rice, and 0.51 in protein contents. The accession ratio in arbitrary ranges of landrace was 0.45 in amylose contents ranging from 6.4 to 8.7%, and 0.26 in protein ranging from 7.3 to 8.2%. In the variety, it was 0.32 in amylose ranging from 20.1 to 22.7%, and 0.51 in protein ranging from 6.1 to 8.3%. And also, weed type was 0.67 in amylose ranging from 6.6 to 9.7%, and 0.33 in protein ranging from 7.0 to 7.9%, whereas, in breeding line it was 0.47 in amylose ranging from 10.0 to 12.0%, and 0.26 in protein ranging from 7.0 to 7.9%. These results could be helpful to build database programming system for germplasm management.

        최적의 선박 운항 항로를 찾기 위해서는 선박의 정확한 추진성능을 추정하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 본 논문은 선박 최적운항시스템 의 추진성능 데이터베이스를 생성하기 위한 전산프로그램의 개발에 대해 기술하고 있다. 실해역에서의 추진성능은 표류와 표면 거칠기 등 선 체 상태뿐 만 아니라 파랑과 바람 등 해상 상태의 영향을 받는다. 이 부가저항 추정 방법들은 ISO 15016:2002 표준의 실선 속력시운전 해석법 을 근간으로 하고 있으며, 추가로 바람과 선체 표면 거칠기에 대한 몇 가지 추정 방법이 보완되었다. 이 추정 방법들은 종합적인 전산프로그 램으로 만들어졌다. 그리고 향후 최적 운항경로 계산에 활용될 쇄빙연구선 아라온 호에 대해서 데이터베이스 계산이 수행되었다. 이 프로그램 은 모든 선박의 항로 최적화 계산에 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

        Test-bed was constructed in Honam High-speed railway due to evaluate the suitable infrastructure for operation of 400km/h level speed. To evaluate performance of roadbed in test-bed, several sensors installed in the standard roadbed, soft ground, transition zone as bridge and earthwork. In contrast to existing long-term monitoring, system developed was designed and builted on site to log-time operation automatically. Therefore, the measured data collected monitoring system and analysis results can be databased continuously from construction to operation of railway for study design criteria about long-term behavior of roadbed.

        The objective of this research was to develop a relational database management system(RDBMS) to collect, manage and analyze data on agricultural non-point source(NPS) pollution. The system consists of the relational database for agricultural NPS data and data process modules. The data process modules were composed of four sub-modules for data input, management, analysis, and output. The data collected from the watershed of the upper Cheongmi stream and Geunsam-Ri were used in this study. The database was constructed using Apache Derby with meteorological, hydrological, water quality, and soil characteristics. Agricultural NPS-Data Management System(ANPS-DMS) was developed using Oracle Java. The system developed in this study can deal with a variety of agricultural NPS data and is expected to provide an appropriate data management tool for agricultural NPS studies.

        A GPS sensor is widely used in many areas such as navigation, or air traffic control. Particularly, the car navigation system is equipped with GPS sensor for locational information. However, when a car goes through a tunnel, forest, or built-up area, GPS receiver cannot get the enough number of satellite signals. In these situations, a GPS receiver does not reliably work. A GPS error can be formulated by sum of bias error and sensor noise. The bias error is generated by the geometric arrangement of satellites and sensor noise error is generated by the corrupted signal noise of receiver. To enhance GPS sensor accuracy, these two kinds of errors have to be removed. In this research, we make the road database which includes Road Database File (RDF). RDF includes road information such as road connection, road condition, coordinates of roads, lanes, and stop lines. Among the information, we use the stop line coordinates as a feature point to correct the GPS bias error. If the relative distance and angle of a stop line from a car are detected and the detected stop line can be associated with one of the stop lines in the database, we can measure the bias error and correct the car’s location. To remove the other GPS error, sensor noise, the Kalman filter algorithm is used. Additionally, using the RDF, we can get the information of the road where the car belongs. It can be used to help the GPS correction algorithm or to give useful information to users.

        「화산재해 대응시스템의 피해예측 소요 DB 개발 공정 연구」는 “화산재해 대응시스템 개발” 과제에서 구축하게 되는 “화산재해 의사 결정 지원 시스템”의 기본 DB 구축에 필요한 개발 공정을 수립하는데 그 목적이 있다. 피해예측 소요 DB는 화산폭발로 인한 피해를 예측하기 위한 필수적인 자료이기 때문에, 개발 공정에 적용되는 방법론을 수립하고 이를 검증하여 적용함으로써 체계적이고 효과적인 DB의 구축을 기대할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 화산재해 대응시스템의 피해예측 기술에서 요구되는 DB를 대상으로 수집 경로와 운영 형태 등 기본적인 DB 특성을 분석하였다. 이렇게 분석된 내용을 반영하여 피해예측 소요 DB의 개발 공정을 다섯 단계로 구분하고 각 단계에서 수행될 업무와 제약사항을 기술하여 화산재해 대응시스템의 DB 구축에 적용 가능한 개발 공정을 제시하였다.
