        In this study, the analyses of structure, fatigue and vibration with two models of 1 and 2. As the result of structural analysis, the equivalent stress and the total deforamtion of model 1 become higher than those of model 2.Model 1 shows fatigue life more than model 2. As the vibration analysis, model 1 has the safety better than model 2. As shown by these results, the main parts ofdamage and the weak areas can be investigated to differ from each other according to the configuration of model though these models have the same material property. The result of this study through the analysis can be applied to develop the optimal design of automotive seat frame with durabilty and safety.

        Since the expectations and demand for higher ride comfort of the customers (driver and passengers) have been dramatically increased, new vehicle model launched on the market have not only better performance and design-wise appealing, but also ride comfort has to be increasingly better than its predecessor. Automotive manufactures have focused on the increasing human thermal comfort. To achieve a high thermal comfort, most manufacturers provide a system for their cars to ensure ventilation, heating and cooling air in the passenger compartment. As results, the influence of the seats and situations in the thermal human comfort are considered. And, the temperature distribution pattern on the human face is acquired at natural condition, both warm condition on which seat is managed around 30℃ and hot condition on which seat is managed around 50℃.

        In this study, analysis on the stiffness of the headrest, the stiffness of front-rear load and the torsion of cushion frame was performed using finite element method in order to investigate the properties of the stress-deformation by material characteristics according to the test requirements of FMVSS (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard). The results are shown that AZ31 (Mg alloy) and A365 (Al alloy) with low modulus of elasticity and density have higher strain rate than steel in terms of stress-deformation and meet the standards for safety within 108 mm of the maximum amount of deformation. Considering it’s safety and durability, however, the selection of AZ31 for light weight seems difficult to gain the reliability because it causes an excessive deformation, and therefore it is not expected to be used for recliner where stress is concentrated and also the bracket linking rail and cushion frame.

        It is important to understand psychological and physiological responses of occupants who seated in a chair in order to shape a comfortable indoor official environment. So it is needed to find out optimal seated conditions. The purpose of this study was to explore optimal condition of seat air conditioning control based on psychological or subjective responses (perceived temperature and comfort sensation) and physiological responses (heartrate variability; HRV). To do this, experimental conditions were designed by the difference of indoor temperature and seat air conditioning temperature. In the experiment 1, seven experimental conditions were designed with one control condition which was not used seat air conditioning system, and six experimental conditions which the difference of indoor temperature and seat air conditioning temperature (-1℃~-6℃). In the experiment 2, four experimental conditions were designed with one control condition and three experimental conditions (-3℃~-5℃). In addition, participants’ psychological or subjective response was measured by CSV (comfort sensation vote) and PTS (perceived temperature sensitivity) as a psychological or subjective response, and heartrate variability was measured as a physiological response. As a result, in the experiment 1, it was reported that the optimal conditions of seat air conditioning control based on participants’ psychological or subjective comfort were from -3℃ to -5℃ experimental conditions. In addition, in the experiment 2, it was reported that the optimal condition of seat air conditioning control based on participants’ physiological comfort was -4℃ experimental condition. These results suggested that seat air conditioning could affected to comfort sensation of occupants in an appropriate range, rather than unconditionally.

        The sinking seat is the mounted seat in rear columns of recreational vehicle. The convenience of sinking seat is lower than folding seat because the paths of the containment and withdrawal are different each other. In this paper, the cam shape design model which is related recliner apparatus was introduced of the folding path of the existing manual system sinking seat. And the validity of the design variable was verified through the dynamic mechanics simulation using RecurDyn. but, the transformation-time graph of cam link joint position in RecurDyn is unstable because it is not consideration of friction.

        In this study, the ventilation of duct is simulated by CFD and thermal changes on the seat surface are measured experimentally. These models are the improved duct and the existing one installed at the real seat in order to test the thermal change 1 minute later. The seat with the existing duct has the temperatures of 26℃ and 25℃ on lumber and femoral parts respectively. However, the seat with the improved duct has the temperature of 1℃ lower than the seat with the existing duct. This result contributes to develop the improved duct. Hereafter, the methods used in this study are expected to be useful at checking the flow resistance loss of the ventilation seat duct and assessing the flow channel design

        IIWPG protocol for the dynamic testing of motor vehicle seats is a test procedure for ratings of seats and head restraints for neck injury prevention in low speed rear impacts. In this study, we evaluates the performance of the car seat in the dynamic test was enacted by IIWPG and initial geometry test that has been enacted by RCAR to vehicle being sold in the market today. 6 models became the A and G in the final rating that reflects the results of the dynamic test and Initial geometry test. Electronic active head restraint was found to be allowed to operate quickly headrest, it is very effective in the prevention of neck injury in support of the head of the passenger. we suspects that this is contributed lower the value injuries reduce the relative acceleration between the chest and head. It is determined that the expanded application is required up to the small car because rating appears high in the vehicle equipped with the electric active head restraint. In addition to the evaluation of the impact velocity and collision direction, neck injury continued research to present proposals for improvement is required future.

        In this study, the models before and after improving the support structure of seat motor gear nut are investigated by comparing with vibration analysis. The maximum deformation model 1 becomes higher than model 2. The natural frequency of model 2 becomes higher model 1. The design model to be applied into the safe driving is useful effectively by using the analysis result of the height driving module for automotive power seat.

        In this study, the strength property is investigated through structural and vibration analysis on the lead screw of height drive module for automotive power seat. The positions of applied loads are lowest, middle and highest on the model of lead screw in cases of 1, 2 and 3. Natural frequencies are examined about three kinds of models and critical frequencies are also checked by harmonic responses. Maximum deformations are shown as 0.033mm, 0.026mm and 0.551mm respectively in models of 1, 2 and 3. In case 3 at highest position, this strength becomes weakest by comparing with cases 2 and 3. By use of this analysis result, it is possible to design the model effectively applied at automotive safe driving.

        Various motors have been used in many cars to control the height of automotive seats. As the motor is connected with seat, it can be moved as the convenience of passenger and vibration affects passenger when motor is being driven. In this study, three models are designed. The lengths of link parts and screw axes are increased or decreased respectively in the order of models 1, 2 and 3. The case of motor is made of aluminum alloy and the rest is made of structural steel. As model 1 has the maximum amplitude displacement at 1360Hz by the basis of vibration analysis, model 1 has the most durability among three models. This study result can be effectively utilized with the design on height motor by investigating prevention and durability against its damage.

        In this study, recliner is modelled and compared with 2 types of models as conventional recliner and round recliner by investigating stress and displacement through strength analysis. The maximum deformation of 0.018mm at round recliner is much smaller than that of 0.18mm at conventional recliner. It can be seen that the round recliner has more safety than conventional recliner. Round recliner model has more durability and safety than conventional model by the result of structural and vibration analysis. The model design of automotive recliner can be designed effectively at applying the safe driving of automobile practically by using the result of this study.

        차량용 시트는 쿠션부와 철제 구조물로 되어 있는데 철제 구조물은 프레임, 레일, 리클라이너로 구성된다. 특히 시트의 안정성과 직결된 리클라이너(Seat recliner)부품의 복합 성형제품은 파인블랭킹 제조기술을 활용하여 제작하는 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 열처리 된 구조용강이 적용된 리클라이너를 CATIA 프로그램을 사용하여 3D 모델링하였으며, 이를 유한요소 해석 프로그램을 사용하여 라운드 리클라이너와 기준의 리클라이너의 강도 해석의 하중전달 경로, 응력 및 변형률을 연구하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 라운드 리클라이너와 기준의 리클라이너의 강도 해석의 응력 및 변형률을 비교/분석하였으며 기계적 특성을 파악했다.

        계획대상지는 충청남도 예산군 고덕면 대천리, 석곡리 일원으로 농업환경과 상업가로지역, 역사문화자원 등이 복합적으로 형성되어 있는 지역이다. 하지만 열악한 교통여건과 부족한 대표이미지로 인해 외부방문객들에게는 통과지역으로만인식되고 내부적으로는 면소재지임에도 불구하고 정비되지 않은 가로 환경과 지역주민들의 다양한 커뮤니티를 지원할수 있는 공공시설의 부재로 인해 갈수록 쇠퇴하고 있는 대표적인 농촌지역이라 할 수 있다. 최근 당진영덕고속도로개통과 고덕IC의 개설, 내포신도시로 충청남도청 이전 등 인근지역의 여건 변화로 인해 그동안 쇠퇴되었던 지역을다시 활성화시킬 수 있는 계기가 마련되었고 따라서 본 계획에서는 주변 여건 변화에 발맞춰 지역 환경을 개선하고대상지가 보유하고 있는 지역자원을 활용하여 통과지역으로서 인식되던 이미지를 개선함으로써 발전적인 지역 활성화 방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이에 본 계획에서는 ‘경관정비’, ‘지역자원활성화’, ‘정주기반정비’를 계획전략으로 수립하여쾌적한 정주환경 및 도농복합 거점공간으로 조성하고자 계획내용을 수립하였다. 본 계획을 통해 그동안 낙후되고 노후화된지역의 공공시설 및 경관자원의 개선과 고유한 지역자원의 활용을 통해서 고덕면소재지 지역주민의 삶의 질이 향상되고지역경제가 활성화 될 것으로 기대된다.

        Among the various parts of automobile, automotive seat is the most fundamental item that ride comfort can be evaluated as the part contacted at human body. Dynamic stabilities on 3 kinds of models are analysed according to inside beam configuration of rear seat frame in this study. Model 1 has the basic design of straight beam. Model 2 has the beam that is curved slightly from model 1 configuration and model 3 has honeycomb structure. Total deformations and equivalent stresses are investigated when these models are crushed at side. Total deformations due to frequencies are also obtained and critical frequencies on these frequency responses are investigated. By comparing total deformation configurations of model 1,2 and 3, model 1 and 2 apply the damage to passengers but model 3 absorbs the damage. Model 1, 2 and 3 show total deformations of 482.7, 178.9 and 151.62 mm at the critical frequencies of 180, 200 and 150Hz respectively. Because model 3 does not apply the damage to passengers and the total deformation at critical frequency becomes minimum among three models on frequency response, this model becomes most stable among 3 kinds of models when crushed at side.

        자동차 시트의 만족도 평가방법은 디자인을 평가하는 방법에서부터 출발하여 완충시스템과 재료를 평가하는 기계적 방법을 지나 인간의 주관적인 감정을 평가하는 현재까지 이르렀다. 국외에서는 지난 10여 년간 자동차 시트의 만족도 평가를 위한 수많은 연구가 진행 되었고, 2006년에 설문지에 기반을 둔 통계적으로 신뢰할 만한 평가방법이 만들어져 외국에서 널리 사용되고 있다(Baba 등, 2008). 그러나 우리나라에서는 아직까지 이 방법이 활용되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 Smith 등 (2006)의 연구방법을 중심으로 기존 연구를 분석하여 한국인에 적합한 평가 설문지를 새로 개발하였다. 6명의 자동차회사 및 시트 전문회사의 전문가들의 의견을 반영하여 기존연구에서 감성평가 항목이 중복되어 있거나 우리나라에는 적합하지 않는 항목은 제외시키고 유사한 항목들은 통합 하여 36개의 평가항목을 새로 개발하였다. 이들 항목은 유사성을 고려하여 대분류, 중분류, 소분류로 분류하였다. 36개 평가항목은 중요도가 다르기 때문에 계층화분석법(AHP)을 사용하여 평가 항목의 중요도를 결정하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 자동차 시트 만족도 설문지는 우리나라에서 생산되는 자동차 시트의 주관적 감성 평가에 널리 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

        The users who use the wheelchair are confined to a wheelchair for a long time. Accordingly, the use of seat cushion for pressure distribution is very important in order to prevent a bedsore. Therefore, this paper provides useful information for design of seat cushion through statistical testing among nothing cushion, low cell type of air cushion, high cell type of air cushion, and jelly type of air cushion. It turned out that the jelly type and high cell type of air cushion have a serious effect on decision and design of seat cushion.

        Domestic SUV were evaluated for rating the ability of seat and head restraints to prevent neck injury in low speed rear-end crashes. The dynamic test criteria are divided into two groups-seat design parameters(Initial evaluation) and test dummy response parameters(Dynamic evaluation). Head restraint designs with initial geometric ratings of “acceptable" or “good" will be tested in a simulated 16 km/h rear impact to assess whether they provide effective dynamic support for the torso, neck and head. In the measurement and rating of static head restraint geometry, the initial static geometric rating of the domestic SUV cars were “good" except the A-car. In the final rating of the seat and head restraints, W-Car was “good", the other cars were “poor". The performance of dynamic test for the most part of the domestic SUV cars were “poor" and it is necessary to improve.

        The objective of this study is to develop 3D anthropometrical data acquisition method of human back surface and to recognise and extract its morphological characteristics. This technique is very useful in describing the sitter's back contour and the interaction between the sitter's back and the seat. The back surfaces of subjects in sitting posture are measured by using martine-type anthropometer and sliding gauge. These basic anthropometrical data are reconstructed into 3D image.

        자동차는 첨단공업 기술이 고도로 집적되어 있는 인간-기계 시스템(man machine system)이다. 자동차에 대한 새로운 감성요구를 실현하기 위해서는 인체와 오랜 시간 접촉해 있는 시트 표피재의 분석이 반드시 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 자동차 시트 표피재의 역학적 특성과 감성을 고려한 고급감을 예측하여 고감성 내장 표피재 개발에 기여하고자 한다. 감성용어는 Softness(유연한), Elasticity(탱글탱글한), Volume(풍성한), Stickiness (끈끈한)를 설정하였으며, 이와 대응하는 표피재의 역학적 특성 치를 측정하였다. 피혁의 특성평가에 의한 결과로 resilience, bending moment, thickness와 friction 값을 얻을 수 있었으며, 이러한 역학적 특성 치를 softness, elasticity, volume, stickiness 값으로 변화하기 위해 fuzzy logic을 사용하였다. 또한 Fuzzy logic의 결과인 Softness, Elasticity, Volume, Stickiness 값으로 피혁의 고급감을 예측하기 위한 신경망 모델(Neural network)을 구성하였다. 즉, 자동차 표피재 중 피혁의 4가지 물리량으로 인간의 감성인 표피재의 고급감을 예측하여 고감성 자동차 시트 표피재의 개발을 위한 예측 모델의 가능성을 평가하였다.
