        최근 국내에 많이 보급되고 있는 이류체 포그 냉방시스템의 효율적인 제어알고리즘을 개발하기 위하여 다양한 조건의 분무사이클을 설정하여 토마토재배 온실에서 냉방실험을 실시하였다. 냉방효과는 평균 1.2~4.0℃를 보였고, 냉방효율은 평균 8.2~32.9%로 나타났다. 분무간격에 따른 실험에서 90초 분무사이클의 냉방효율이 가장 높았고, 대체로 분무시간이 길수록, 정지시간이 짧을수록 냉방효율이 높게 나타났다. 이류체 포그시스템의 분무량이 증가할수록 냉방효율이 높아지는 경향을 찾을 수 있었다. 그러나 분무량을 증가시키더라도 내부공기가 포화상태에 가까워지면 더 이상 증발이 일어나지 않으므로 내부공기가 포화상태에 도달하기 전까지 분무량을 증대시키는 방법으로 냉방효율을 높일 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 냉방효율이 증가함에 따라 실내공기의 포차는 감소하였고 실내외 절대습도 차이는 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 포그의 증발량이 증가할수록 실내와 실외의 절대습도 차이는 커지고, 이에 따라 환기에 의한 수증기 배출이 잘 되어 다시 증발효율을 상승시키므로 냉방효율이 높아지는 순환구조를 갖게 되는 것으로 판단된다. 분무시간과 정지시간에 따른 실내공기의 포차변화를 회귀분석한 결과 10g·kg-1의 포차 변화에 필요한 분무시간은 120초, 정지시간은 60초로 나타났다. 그러나 온도의 진동폭을 줄이고 냉방효율을 높이기 위해서는 포차의 변동범위를 5g·kg-1으로 설정하여 60초 분무, 30초 정지가 더 적당할 것으로 판단된다. 이류체 포그시스템의 제어방식을 컴퓨터 제어시스템과 현재 보급되고 있는 간편제어시스템으로 분류하여 제어알고리즘을 유도하였다. 자연환기 온실에서 간편 제어시스템을 사용한다면 분무사이클을 60초 on, 30초 off로 설정하고 온도하한은 30~30~32℃, 습도상한은 85~90%로 설정할 것을 제안한다.

         ,  , The effect of natural enemies on four major pests of hot pepper was tested in greenhouses. The aphids were successfully controlled by introducing three Aphidius colemani-banker plants, and releasing 23.3 wasps per m<, SUP>, 2<, /SUP>, on April 16 and 23 wasps per m<, SUP>, 2<, /SUP>, in a greenhouse of 660 m<, SUP>, 2<, /SUP>, . To control thrips, Orius laevigatus was released twice, 3.0 bugs per m<, SUP>, 2<, /SUP>, at a time(May 11<, SUP>, th<, /SUP>, and June 12<, SUP>, th<, /SUP>, ). The thrips population was controlled within 0.3 thrips per flower during the growing season. To control two species of mites, Tetranychus kanzawai and Polyphagotarsonemus latus, and the silverleaf whitefly, Bemisia tabaci, a total of 113.7 individuals of Amblyseius swirskii were released twice(May 11<, SUP>, th<, /SUP>, and 30<, SUP>, th<, /SUP>, ). The densities of B. tabaci and T. kanzawai were kept within 171.0 individuals/trap and 0.8 individual/leaf, respectively. P. latus was suppressed completely twelve days after release. The cost of the released natural enemies to control the four arthropod pests in this study was 420,000 Won per 660 m<, SUP>, 2<, /SUP>, .

        관행 이중피복온실과 공기주입 이중피복온실에 대하여 보온, 난방, 환기, 냉방 등 환경조절에 따른 온실내부의 환경변화를 연중 측정하여 온습도 및 광환경 분포특성을 비교분석함으로서 기존 온실의 환경을 개선할 수 있는 방안을 제시하기 위해 수행한 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 겨울철 야간에 난방시 공기주입온실과 관행온실의 커튼과 피복재 사이의 온도는 거의 비슷한 값을 보여주고 있어 보온효과는 거의 동일한 것으로 나타났다. 온실내부의 커튼 안쪽의 습도는 난방으로 인해 외부습도보다 낮게 유지되었으나 커튼과 피복재 사이의 습도는 거의 100%로 유지되었다. 주간의 우천시에도 두 가지 온실의 내부온도가 거의 비슷하여 보온효과는 동일한 것으로 나타났다. 주간에 천창환기시 두 온실 모두 일사로 인해 상하방향으로 온도의 편차가 크게 발생하였고, 공기주입온실이 관행온실에 비해 온도가 약간 더 낮기 때문에 환기효과가 더 우수한 것으로 판단된다. 온도분포와 마찬가지로 상하방향으로 습도편차가 크게 발생하였으며, 공기주입온실이 관행온실에 비해 습도가 약간 더 높게 나타나 환기효과가 더 우수한 것으로 판단된다. 야간에 천창환기시에는 두 온실 모두 주간과는 달리 일사가 없기 때문에 온실내부 전체적으로 균일한 온습도분포를 보여주고 있다. 간헐적 포그분사 냉방을 실시하였을 때 두 온실 모두 상하좌우로 비교적 균일한 온습도분포를 보여주었다. 연속 포그분사 냉방을 실시한 경우 전체적으로 균일한 온습도 분포를 보여주었으며, 평균 약 3.5℃ 정도의 냉방효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 커튼과 지붕피복재 사이의 공간에 대한 상대습도와 절대습도의 변화를 분석한 결과 거의 커튼을 닫는 시점에서 피복재의 온도가 노점 온도 이하로 낮아지기 시작하기 때문에 커튼을 닫음과 동시에 제습기를 사용하여 지붕과 커튼 사이 공간의 공기에 함유된 수증기를 제거하면 지붕의 피복재에 발생하는 결로를 억제할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 피복재의 사용기간이 경과함에 따라 공기주입온실에 비해 관행온실이 광투과율이 더 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 온실내부 피복재를 권취식으로 개폐하는 과정에서 먼지와 결로로 인해 오염되기 때문인 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 피복재의 광투과율이 감소되는 것을 방지하기 위해서는 피복재의 권취식 개폐방식을 지양하는 것이 바람직할 것으로 판단된다. 결론적으로 온실의 이중피복 방법을 공기주입 이중피복형태로 하고 천창을 용마루 위치에 나비형태로 설치한다면 관행 이중피복 온실과 동일한 에너지절감효과를 유지하면서 광투과율을 현저히 개선할 수 있고 환기효율도 높일 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

        하절기 온실 내 온도와 상대습도를 동시에 제어할 목적으로 압축공기를 이용한 이류체 분무 포그 냉방 을 도입한 유리온실에서 측창의 개폐수준이 온실내의 온도와 상대습도 제어에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 분석하였다. 제어과정은 온실 환경변수들을 측정하고, 이를 반영하여 온실 내 수분평형방정식과 열평형방정식을 정립한 다음, 이 방정식들을 프로그램으로 코딩하여 각 사이클의 천창 개폐량과 포그 분무량을 결정하고 제어하였다. 온실의 온습도 제어목표는 온도와 습도를 각각 28, 75%로 설정하였고, 실험은 측창이 전혀 열리지 않은 0%, 50% 열린 경우, 100% 열린 경우 세 가지 모드를 비교분석하였다. 제어실험결과 온실 내 건구온도의 평균은 모드에 따라 각각 28.2, 27.2 26.3℃로 나타났으며, 표준편차는 0.4∼0.8℃이 었다. 상대습도는 측창을 완전히 닫은 모드인 0%의 경우 평균 76.3% 정도로서 목표 상대습도인 75%에 상당히 근접해서 제어되고 있었으며, 표준편차가 2.1%로서 다른 모드에 비해 상당히 안정된 범위에서 유지되는 것으로 나타났다. 0%의 모드에서 가장 목표온도로 잘 제어되고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

        Effectiveness of Encarsia formosa (Hymenoptera: Aphelinidae) to control Trialeurodes vaporariorum (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) was investigated in the commercial tomato greenhouse from January to June, 2010. Densities of T. vaporariorum were monitored using the yellow sticky trap for adult, and a lupe (x10) for 4th instar nymph and pupa at 1 week interval. Tomato seedlings were transplanted in mid-January and the nymph and adult of T. vaporariorum were first discovered in February 4th. E. formosa was applied as a mummy card at a recommended density (3 parasitoids per 1m2) at 2 weeks interval for 8 times. Mummy cards were collected 2 weeks later and the emergence and survival ratio of E. formosa were examined. Density of adult T. vaporariorum was significantly lower in the treatment plot (F=42.48, p=0.0001). The control efficiency ranged from 57.3% to 88.5%. The nymphal density was also significantly lower in the treatment plot (F=8.85, p=0.0053). The control efficiency was 84% on 25th March, 75% on 18th May and 95% on 25th May. Maximum 50% parasitism by E. formosa occurred in the treatment plot. The emergence and survival rates of E. formosa on mummy cardboards that were released in the greenhouse during February to March were only 53% and 41%, respectively. These rates increased to >70% as the temperature rises.

        This study reports the results of natural enemy application against four insect pests on greenhouse sweet pepper in winter cropping system. Orius laevigatus (3.3/㎡) was released at two different times (Nov. 2005 & Feb. 2006) to control Frankliniella occidentalis, western flower thrips (WFT). Throughout the cropping season, the lowest level recorded of WFT was less than 2.0 individuals per yellow sticky trap. Amblyseius swirskii (232.3/㎡) was released four times (Nov. 2007 ~ Aug. 2008) to control Bemisia tabaci, tobacco whitefly (TWF). Until July 2008, TWF population had been suppressed lower than 6.6/trap. Phytoseiulus persimilis (44.5/㎡) was released seven times (Apr. 2008 ~ Aug. 2008) to control Tetranychus kanzawai, tea red spider mite (TRSM). As a result, TRSM population was suppressed lower than 1.7/leaf. To control aphids, Aphidius colemani (9.5/㎡) was released seven times (Oct. 2004 ~ Jan. 2005), with the transplantation of banker plants (5.5pot/660㎡). As a whole, aphid"s population has been successfully reduced to less than 2.0/leaf.

        온실의 환기제어시 외기온도와 풍속변화에 보다 유연하게 대처하면서 온실내 온도제어성능을 향상시키 기 위해서 퍼지제어가 많이 이용되고 있지만, 제어로직이 복잡하여 대용량 메모리를 갖는 컨트롤러가 필 요하다. 본 연구에서는 소용량의 마이크로 컨트롤러에서 프로그램이 가능한 단순퍼지제어 알고리즘을 개 발하여 시험하였다. 개발한 단순퍼지 제어 알고리즘의 성능을 비교하기 위하여 기존의 스텝제어 알고리즘 을 도입한 제어프로그램으로 온실의 천창환기에 의한 온도제어를 실시하여 두 알고리즘의 성능을 직접 비 교하고, 또 PID 및 표준 퍼지제어 성능과는 기존의 연구 결과와 비교하여 상대적 성능을 평가하므로써 온 실의 환기냉방제어의 유리한 제어기법을 확립할 수 있는 기초자료를 얻고자 수행하였다. 단순 퍼지제어에 의한 실내온도 최대 제어오차는 1.2℃, 1시간동안의 평균환기창 적산열림량과 조작회수는 각각 84%, 13회 로 나타났으며, 문헌조사에 의한 퍼지제어에서 각각 1.3℃, 75% 및 12회에 비해 동등한 제어성능을 보였 다. 본 연구에서 개발한 단순퍼지제어는 제어로직이 PID제어보다 단순함에도 불구하고 스텝제어와 PID제 어보다 성능이 우수하고, 퍼지제어와 동등한 제어성능을 갖는 것으로 나타났다.

        Biological-control-based-integrated-pest-management of major pests occurring on sweet pepper in greenhouse during summer season was tried. As many as 2.1 Orius laevigatus per ㎡ were released in two times on June 6 and 19, and the population of thrips was kept under control and accordingly the damage was negligible throughout the season. To control aphids, a total of 0.8 Aphidius colemani per ㎡ were released in four times, 0.2 of them at a time, flonicamid on May 14 and July 18 and pymetrozine on June 14 and September 4 were sprayed on the spots of high aphid occurrence to reduce the release of the wasp, and the density of aphids was kept under control. Whitefly was controlled successfully by releasing a total of 343.4 Amblyseius swirski per ㎡ in nine times, 38.1 of them at a time, from May 9 until November 12 and dinotefuran was sprayed on November 12 when the density of whitefly increased up to 200 per trap. Tetranichus kanzawai was controlled by both Phytoseiulus persimilis which was released a total of 44.4 per ㎡ in five times 8.9 of them at a time from May 23 to September 10, and the A. swirski which was released for the control of whitefly.

        A bee-vectoring method has been recently developed against greenhouse insect pests. In this study, we conducted experiments to determine if bumble bees, bombus terrestris L. could vector Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. aizawai from hives equipped with a pathogen dispenser to leaf and flower of sweet pepper. First, in laboratory, insecticidal activity of B. t. subsp. aizawai NT0423 WP (Tobagi, Dongbu Hitek Co.) against 2nd instar larva of Spodoptera litura Fabricius was evaluated to determine if the amount of B. thuringiensis deposited on the leaf and flower would be sufficient to control the tobacco cutworm. The B. t concentration of the product in this experiment was estimated as 2.8-3.1 x 109 CFU/ml. The B. t. concentration on the body of bumble bees that was captured as they exited hives with filled pathogen dispensers was 4.6 x 109 cfu/ml. At the laboratory bioassay, the mortality of tobacco cutworm was serially measured depending on the pathogen concentrations. At the cage trials, the B. t. delivered by bumble bees was detected in bees, flowers and leaves. Through the several trials, the control effect on the tobacco cutworm has been investigating. The side effect on bumble bee from the first trial was not found in this experiment.

        The devastating insect pests of the tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) were surveyed in environmentally friendly (no-pesticide and organic) greenhouses located in the provinces of Gyeonggi, Gyeongsang, Gangwon, Chungcheong and Jeju. Whitefly, leaf miner, aphid and moth were recorded as the major pests in these surveys. Among them, whitefly was the most serious pest of greenhouse cultivated tomato and major species was Trialeurodes vaporariorum. The population densities of T. vaporariorum was 0~36 nymph per leaf. Population of moths Spodoptera litura were the highest in summer season. Population of the whitefly was considered to be influenced by the previous cultural methods. Farmers in organic cultivation, used insect natural enemy, commercial EFAM (Environment Friendly Agricultural Material), yellow sticky trap or home made pesticides. Commercial microbial pesticides were applied to evaluate their insecticidal activities against whitefly. The results revealed that microbial pesticides exhibited 65.3 to 100% whitefly nymph mortality. Further, pesticidal activities of Cooking Oil and Yolk (COY), plant extracts and neem oil were evaluated against other tomato pests as well.

        Cage experiments by artificial infestations with different initial densities of Frankliniella occidentalis were conducted to analyze damages and develop control thresholds of F. occidentalis on greenhouse eggplant in 2005 and on greenhouse sweet pepper in 2007. In the eggplant experiment, the infestations of F. occidentalis resulted in direct damage on fruit surface and non-marketable fruits which had several thin or thick lines or bleaching patches on the surface. F. occidentalis adults were frequently found on the flowers of eggplants, while nymphs were mainly observed on leaves. The fruit yield of eggplants was not significantly different among experimental plots with different initial density of F. occidentalis. Relationship between % non-marketable fruits among harvested fruits of eggplant and sticky trap catches of F. occidentalis (no. thrips/trap/week) at two weeks before the harvest showed a positive correlation. Using the estimated relationship, the control threshold of F. occidentalis on greenhouse eggplant was estimated at 10 adults per week at two weeks before the harvest when 5% of non-marketable fruit was applied for the gain threshold. In the experiment of sweet pepper, the direct damage by F. occidentalis was observed on the fruit surface and calyx, and the marketable grade of the damaged fruits decreased. The significant yield loss of marketable fruits was found in plots with high initial introduced-densities. There was a high relationship between thrips density and percentage of damaged fruits. Assuming 5% yield loss (non-marketable fruit) for the gain threshold, the control threshold of F. occidentalis on greenhouse sweet pepper was 4.8 adults per trap and 0.9 individuals per flower at two weeks before harvest.

        Occurrence of Liriomyza trifolii and its biological control efficacy using Neochrysocharis formosa were evaluated in two eggplant cropping systems of spring and autumn cultivation. L. trifolii adults began to be attracted on a yellow sticky traps from late April and they increased from early June. A high density of L. trifolii adults was maintained from middle June to middle July. The releases of two N. formosa per plant with 3 times as weekly intervals from May 25, 2004 for spring culture resulted control effect of 90.1% in parasitism to L. trifolii in late July. The releases of two N. formosa per plant with 4 times as weekly intervals from Auguest 31, 2004 for autumn culture resulted control effect of 81.3% in population of L. trifolii with 64.4-69.9% in parasitism.

        Biological control of Liriomyza trifolii (Burgess) using Diglyphus isaea (Walker) has been evaluated in tomato greenhouse, for three seasonal culture types: spring type (March-July), summer type (June-October) and autumn type (July-December). For spring type, totally 5.8 individuals/㎡ of D. isaea has been released at six times from late April, when the density of L. trifolii was about 1.0 individuals/plant. Corrected mortality of Liriomyza trifolii caused by parasitoids was 97.6% at early July, and the proportion of D. isaea was 88.9% of all parasitoids collected in the greenhouse. In the case of summer type, totally 1.8 individuals/㎡ of D. isaea has been released at five times from early July, when the density of L. trifolii was about 0.4 individuals/plant. Corrected mortality of L. trifolii caused by parasitoids was 84.4% during the whole season, but the proportion of D. isaea was very low (only 13.8%). Immigrating parasitoids such as Chrysocharis penthus were synchronized to control the leafminer in the greenhouse. For autumn type, totally 2.7 individuals/㎡ of D. isaea has been released at four times from mid September, when the density of L. trifolii was about 0.7 individuals/plant. Corrected mortality of L. trifolii caused by parasitoids was 85.7% at mid December, and the proportion of the D. isaea was 83.4%.

        Five strains of Korean entomopathogenic nematodes (EPN), steinernematids and heter-orhabditids were evaluated and tried in laboratory, pot, and vegetable greenhouses for environmentally friendly control of diamondback moth (DBM), Plutella xylostella, from 2002 to 2005. LC₅₀ values of five EPN strains against DBM were different depending on nematode strain and DBM instar. LC₅₀ value of Steinernema carpocapsae GSN1 (GSN1) was the lowest representing 2.6~3.9 infective juveniles (Ijs, 3rd stage) to 2nd to 4th instars of DBM. Pathogenicity of five effective strains against DBM was different depending on nematode strain, concentration, application times, and vegetable in pot. The most effective nematode was GSN1. Steinernema spp. was more effective than Heterorhabditis spp. against DBM. Two or three times of applications of EPN were effective regardless of nematode strain and concentration in pot. Efficacy of EPN was different depending on vegetable species. Efficacy was higher on Chinese cabbage, red mustard, and Ssamchoo than that on cabbage, kale, and leaf broccoli. Efficacy of GSN1, Steinernema GSNUS-10, Steinernema GSNUS-14, and Heterorhabditis GSNUH-l was variable depending on nematode strain, concentration, application times, and vegetable in greenhouse experiments. GSN1 was the most effective and 100,000 infective juveniles per ㎡ (=1 × 10⁹ Ijs/ha) resulted in higher efficacy. Three times of application of nematodes led to higher control efficacy than one or two applications. Efficacy of nematodes was higher on Chinese cabbage than cabbage or kale in greenhouse.

        Biological control of Tetranychus urticae by Phytoseiulus persimilis was observed in eggplant greenhouse for spring and autumn season culture. Tetranychus urticae was controlled to low density of less than 1 mite from June 24 after P. persimilis were released 3 times at rate of 10 per plant on June 1, 11, and 18, 2004 in spring season experiment. The population of Tetranychus urticae was also less than 1 mite per eggplant leaf from September 1 to October 22 after three times releases of 10 P. persimilis in autumn season experiment. In Phytoseiulus persimilis released plot, the percentage of leaves with T. urticae adults and nymphs were 8.6~13.3% and 5% or less in spring and autumn season experiment. The density of T. urticae was from 1 to 2 on leaves with T. urticae adults and nymphs.

        Effectiveness of Orius strigicollis (Poppius) and Amblyseius cucumeris (Oudemans) as natural enemies against thrips were evaluated on greenhouse green pepper, sweet pepper and cucumber respectively. Control efficacy was calculated by the formula, (D<SUB>control</SUB> - D<SUB>treatment</SUB>)/D<SUB>control</SUB> × 100, where D<SUB>control</SUB> is the average density of thrips on the plots in which any natural enemy was not released and D<SUB>treatment</SUB> is the average density of thrips on the plots in which natural enemies were released respectively. As a result, control efficacies of O. strigicollis against Frankliniella occidentalis (Pergande) on green pepper and sweet pepper were 14.3~99.5% and 21.6~98.3%, respectively. In addition, control efficacy of it against Thrips palmi Kany on cucumber was 61.2-74.4%. Control efficacies of A. cucumeris against F. occidentalis on green pepper and sweet pepper were 12.9~38.3% and 17.1~87.0%, respectively. Control efficacy of it against T. palmi on cucumber was 90.4~97.4%. Field evaluation showed that the prompt applications of natural enemies were effective to reduce the density of thrips. In detail, to control F. occidentalis effectively on green pepper and sweet pepper in spring season, five to six individuals of O. strigicollis per crops should be released three to six times continuously. To control T. palmi effectively on cucumber in autumn, more than 100 individuals of A. cucumeris per crop should be released four times repeatedly.
