        This study was conducted to investigate the effects of underwater noise caused by pile driving during marine construction on fish. In this study, the three gray rockfish were released about 1 km away from the construction site of wind power generation on July 18, 2018 and traced using two acoustic telemetry techniques. The behavior of the fish was analyzed by calculating the moving distance, swimming speed and direction of the gray rockfish. In the results of the acoustic tracking using the ship, the rockfish moved about 2.11 km for about two hours at a speed of 0.28 ± 0.14 m/s (0.94 TL/s). The bottom depth of the trajectory of the rockfish was 1.0 ± 0.6 m on average. There was a significant directionality in swimming direction of the gray rockfish, and there was no significant correlation between the swimming direction and tidal current direction. Moving distance during 5 minutes (5MD) during pile driving and finishing operations between rock surface and bedrock were 0.94-0.96 times (76.0-77.0 m) and 1.81-2.73 times (146.0-219.5 m), respectively, compared with no pile driving. This study is expected to be used as a basic data of fish behavior research on underwater noise.

        The growth of cheap, industrial, mass-production—so-called “fast fashion”—has led to dramatic increases in levels of consumption. Inexpensive products tend to foster unsustainable consumption behaviors, which negatively impact the environment and increase pressure to obtain goods at lower and lower prices; this, in turn, has the competitive effect of decreasing wages. This study focused on the concept of socially responsible consciousness in relation to fashion products. Environmental and labor issue concerns were employed as major variables. Empirical data were collected from males and females, between the ages of 10 and 50. Demographic differences were found in SR consciousness. For example, participants in their 10s, 40s, and 50s had higher levels of SR consciousness than those in their 20s and 30s. In addition, consumers’ levels of environmental and labor issue concerns had varying effects on the criteria they used to select clothing. Product category type was also an influential factor. Moreover, the analysis showed that SR consciousness was less important in the apparel industry than in the food sector. The study also found an attitude-behavior link in relation to the concept of SR consciousness. The link was stronger for environmental concerns than for labor issue concerns. This study aimed to develop a better understanding of current customers’ characteristics and levels of SR consciousness.

        The purpose of this study is to offer basic data on cosmetics by investigating college women’s purchasing and use behaviors regarding cosmetics according to their experience with side effects. A questionnaire was administered to 351 college women in the Seoul and Kyoung-in areas. The data were analyzed with SPSS Statistics V22.0 using frequency, χ2-test, and t-test. The results are as follows. First, 72.6% of surveyed women reported experiencing side effects from cosmetics. The largest side effects were acne and boils, and the primary ways of coping with these side effects were discontinuing use and using other products. Second, the group that experienced cosmetics’ side effects used brands that were more expensive and eco-friendly than the group without side effects. Third, the group that experienced side effects continued to use the product more than the group without side effects. The primary reason for continued use was efficacy, and the reasons for discontinued use were efficacy and curiosity. Fourth, the side-effects group proactively identified cosmetics ingredients more than the non-side-effects group. Specifically, they checked the major components, the function, and for any hazardous ingredients. Fifth and finally, 98.3% of survey respondents purchased and used functional cosmetics. The group that had experience with side effects used more functional cosmetics than the group without side effects.

        With the expansion of various distribution channels in online and offline stores, TV, and mobile, consumers now have more information search and retail selection channels to choose from than ever before. Major retailers now use multi- and omni-channel strategies. This study focused on cross-channel consumption, which involves the use of different information search and purchase channels. Using crosschannel consumption, consumers can search for information online and then make purchases offline and vice versa. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between channel strategies and other consumer variables, and the study also assessed the effect of product type. To conduct this empirical study, the researchers developed a consumer questionnaire concerning three consumer channel strategies-on-on, cross, and off-off-and four product categories-clothing, cosmetics, books, and electronics. The results indicated that gender and marital status did not influence consumer channel strategies, but that age did have a significant influence. The analysis showed that consumers in their 40s preferred the cross channel strategy, perceiving it to be effective, satisfactory, and rewarding. Compared to other products, clothing products showed higher levels of cross channel strategies. Consumers indicated that they prefer searching for information online and then purchasing clothing offline. Overall, clothing products generated higher levels of channel satisfaction and channel switch intentions. Cross-channel clothing shoppers reported effective information retrieval times but longer delivery times.

        고준위방사성폐기물 처분시스템에서는 방사성 핵종의 붕괴열과 암반으로부터의 지하수 유입으로 열응력 및 팽윤압의 발생으로 열-수리-역학적 복합거동(coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical behavior)이 예상되기 때문에 한국원자력연구원은 처분시스템 및 근계암반에서의 열-수리-역학적인 복합거동 특성을 평가하기 위해서 지하처분연구시설(KAERI Underground Research Tunnel, KURT)에서 2016년부터 현장시험(In-situ Demonstration of Engineered Barrier System, In-DEBS)을 수행 중에 있다. 본 연구에서는 In-DEBS 현장시험 데이터 분석하고 벤토나이트 완충재와 화강암반에서의 열-수리-역학적 복합거동 특성을 평가하기 위해 TOUGH2-MP/FLAC3D을 이용하여 수치해석을 수행하였다. 또한 벤토나이트 블록과 KURT 화강암의 열-수리-역학적 복합거동 특성을 평가하기 위해 사용된 각각의 열, 수리, 그리고 역학적 모델의 적합성을 평가하고 자 현장시험에서 계측된 온도, 상대습도, 그리고 변위의 결과와 수치해석으로 계산된 결과를 비교하였다. 온도와 상대습도의 계산 결과를 현장 데이터와 비교·분석한 결과, 전체적으로 유사한 경향을 보일 뿐만 아니라 시간에 따라 변화하는 정량적인 값 역시 유사하게 나타났다. 역학적 해석 결과를 살펴보면, 계산된 변위의 전반적인 경향은 유사하지만 해석 결과가 계측 값에 비해 상대적으로 작게 나타났다. 축대칭 모델을 이용하여 In-DEBS 현장시험에서 관측된 열-수리-역학적 복합거동 특성을 전반적으로 평가할 수 있었지만, 벤토나이트 블록 및 KURT 암반에서의 열-수리-역학적 복합거동을 면밀히 살펴보기 위해서는 추후 터널의 형상과 주변 KURT 터널의 영향을 반영한 3차원 해석이 필요할 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구에서 사용된 입력 물성과 열-수리-역학적 모델은 추후 In-DEBS 장기 거동 및 처분시스템에서의 열-수리-역학적 복합거동 특성을 평가하고 예측하는데 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

        선진핵주기고준위폐기물처분시스템(A-KRS, Advanced Korean Reference Repository System)을 기반으로 한 공학규모 공학적방벽시스템 열-수리-역학적 복합거동 현장시험(In-DEBS, In-situ Demonstration of Engineered Barrier System)은 2012년부터 기획되었다. 한국원자력연구원의 자체기술로 전체 시스템 구성요소를 설계하고 제작하여 2016년 5월 한국원자력 연구원의 지하처분연구시설(KURT, KAERI Underground Research Tunnel)에 설치하였다. 2016년 7월에 정상운영을 시작하여 현재까지 양질의 열-수리-역학 데이터를 생산하고 있다. 이 시험은 국내에서 최초로 설치하여 운영되는 고준위폐기물 심층처분시스템 공학규모 현장시험으로써, 대규모 공학적방벽 제작기술 개발 및 검증, 처분시스템 설치방법 개발 및 검증, 국내산 벤토나이트의 장기 열-수리-역학 거동 자료 확보, 공학적방벽 국내산 벤토나이트 완충재의 열-수리-역학(THM, thermal-hydro-mechanical) 복합거동특성 현장시험 및 THM 복합모델링 기술 검증, 공학적방벽 완충재 THM 특성 측정 및 모니터링 기술 개발 등을 통한 국내 고준위폐기물 심층처분시스템 공학적방벽의 성능검증 기술개발을 최종 목표로 하고 있다. KURT 기반 In-DEBS의 성공적인 설치와 운영을 통해 공학규모 공학적방벽의 제작 및 설치 기술을 확보할 수 있을 뿐 아니라 여기에서 생산되는 데이터를 이용하여 처분기술개발의 핵심 분야인 공학적방벽 THM 복합모델링 기술의 개발 및 검증 능력도 갖추게 될 것이다. 따라서 향후에 수행될 우리나라 고유의 실규모 처분시스템 실증기술 개발을 위한 귀중한 정보를 제공해 줄 것으로 기대된다.

        Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 (PZT) is used for the various piezoelectric devices owing to its high piezoelectric properties. However, lead (Pb), which is contained in PZT, causes various environment contaminations. (K,Na)NbO3 (NKN) is the most well-known candidate for a lead-free composition to replace PZT. A single crystal has excellent piezoelectric-properties and its properties can be changed by changing the orientation direction. It is hard to fabricate a NKN single crystal due to the sodium and potassium. Thus, (Na,K)NbO3-Ba(Cu,Nb)O3 (NKN-BCuN) is chosen to fabricate the single crystal with relative ease. NKNBCuN pellets consist of two parts, yellow single crystals and gray poly-crystals that contain copper. The area that has a large amount of copper particles may melt at low temperature but not the other areas. The liquid phase may be responsible for the abnormal grain growth in NKN-BCuN ceramics. The dielectric constant and tan δ are measured to be 684 and 0.036 at 1 kHz in NKN-BCuN, respectively. The coercive field and remnant polarization are 14 kV/cm and 20 μC/cm2.

        This study examined the state of awareness, consumption, and purchasing behavior of Kimchi among Chinese adults in Beijing and Shanghai. Two-hundred Chinese individuals in Beijing and Shanghai were included as study subjects. The subjects selected “good Kimchi for Chinese taste” as excellent Kimchi; however, only 13% of the subjects selected “Kimchi from Korea is excellent.” The first sites of Kimchi consumption in China included “home” (59.0%) and “restaurants” (40.0%) in Beijing and “restaurants” (57.0%) and “home” (32.0%) in Shanghai. Chinese people primarily purchase 400g pouches of Kimchi more than once a month, and the average price of Kimchi is RMB 12.59 in Beijing and RMB 18.32 in Shanghai. These results suggest that the interest in Kimchi varieties and the countries producing it differ among Chinese consumers depending on the region. Therefore, a sensory evaluation of Kimchi is essential to determine the preferred flavor of Kimchi among Chinese individuals and to promote the consumption of traditional Korean Kimchi

        본 연구는 번식기에 논을 이용하는 저어새의 섭식행동에 논의 다양한 환경요소가 어떤 영향을 주는지 알아보고자 실시되었다. 2017년 4월부터 6월, 2018년 4월부터 6월까지 한 달에 3회씩 강화도 논을 대상으로 저어새의 개체수를 조사하였다. 저어새가 영향을 받을 것으로 예상되는 환경요소로 수심, 경작에 따른 논의 구조적 형태, 잠재먹이원의 생물량을 선정하여 측정하였고, 논의 환경에 따른 저어새의 섭식행동의 차이를 알아보기 위하여 관찰된 섭식행동을 촬영하였다. 조사결과 저어새는 번식기간 중 4월 말부터 5월 말까지 논에 가장 많은 수가 도래했다. 총 308마리의 개체 중 86.4%(n=266)가 섭식행동을 하고 있었고 90.6%(n=279)가 성조였으며, 물이 없는 논에서는 발견되지 않았다. 강화도 논의 생물량은 어류의 산란기가 시작되는 5월부터 크게 증가하였으며 저어새가 관찰된 논과 관찰되지 않은 논의 생물량은 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 저어새의 섭식행동 분석 결과 논에 생물량이 많아지는 시기에 저어새의 섭식효 율과 섭식성공률이 크게 증가하였고, 저어새의 분당 발걸음 수는 모내기를 한 논에서 크게 증가하였다. 분당 부리를 젓는 횟수는 섭식효율 및 섭식성공률과 상관관계가 없었고, 논의 구조적 형태와도 관련이 없었다.

        Ni-based oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) alloys have a higher usable temperature and better hightemperature mechanical properties than conventional superalloys. They are therefore being explored for applications in various fields such as those of aerospace and gas turbines. In general, ODS alloys are manufactured from alloy powders by mechanical alloying of element powders. However, our research team produces alloy powders in which the Ni5Y intermetallic phase is formed by an atomizing process. In this study, mechanical alloying was performed using a planetary mill to analyze the milling behavior of Ni-based oxide dispersions strengthened alloy powder in which the Ni5Y is the intermetallic phase. As the milling time increased, the Ni5Y intermetallic phase was refined. These results are confirmed by SEM and EPMA analysis on microstructure. In addition, it is confirmed that as the milling increased, the mechanical properties of Ni-based ODS alloy powder improve due to grain refinement by plastic deformation.
