귀리는 단기 다수성 작물로서 잎의 비율이 높을 뿐만 아니라 가축의 기호성도 양호하며 다른 총체맥류에 비하여 파종시기의 선택폭이 넓다. 따라서 본 시험은 내한성이 강하여 중부 지방에서도 월동이 가능한 귀리 3품종과 옥수수 뒷그루 재배에 알맞은 3품종에 대하여 10월 중순 가을 파종과 3월 상순 봄 파종시 생육, 수량 및 사료가치를 비교하고자 실시하였다. 출수기는 봄 파종시 가을 파종에 비하여 평균 12일 늦었고, 품종간에는 약 8일의 차이가 있었다. 봄
본 연구는 밤나무 품종개량을 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위하여 남부지방에서 재배되고 있는 31품종 의 개엽 및 개화특성을 조사하였다. 개엽시기는 품종 간에 약간의 차이가 있었으며, 2008년과 2009년에 비해 2010년에 늦게 개엽되었다. 개엽 1단계부터 4단계까지 소요되는 기간은 2008년과 2009년은 약 8 일 정도였지만, 2010년에는 약 14일 정도가 소요되었다. 개화특성에 있어서 2008년과 2009년의 경우, 암꽃의 개화개시와 개화완료는 각각 5월 초순과 6월 초순이었으나 2010년에는 늦은 개화개시와 개화완 료를 나타내었다. 개화특성에 있어서는 수꽃도 암꽃과 동일한 경향이었으나, 개화개시는 수꽃이 암꽃보 다 20일 정도 빠르게 나타났다.
This study was carried out to decrease the royalties through the dissemination of domestic mushroom varieties by following UPOV (Union Internationale Pour la Protaection des Obtentions Vegetablue: the international union for the protection of new varieties of plants). Although RDA has bred various mushrooms of 25 species of 78 varieties since 1990, most of these were not cultivated in mushroom farms due to two reasons. One is the weaknees of spawn supply system caused by increasing own spawn production and the other is the difficulty in replacing a new variety due to the year-round production in bottle cultivation. Therefore, we made a program to disseminate domestic mushroom varieties. In 2010, five species of 14 varieties were provided as a form of spawn for 43 farms that do not have their own cultivation facility and 11 species of 18 varieties were provided for 45 farms that were equipped with their own cultivation facility. In addition, the breeders explained the cultural characteristics of their own varieties and consulted cultural farms. Since these activities were helpful to mushroom farmers, we plan to open the presentation for mushroom instructor in February 2011 with the consideration of the opinion of mushroom farmers to fully disseminate the spawn of domestic mushroom varieties for the bottle cultivation farms.
LC-DAD-ESI/MS를 이용하여 국내 자색벼 품종에 대해 개별 안토시아닌 조성 및 함량을 평가한 결과는 다음과 같다.
1. 자색벼 품종에서 분리된 모든 개별 안토시아닌의 화학구조는 MS fragment 패턴을 확인하여 cyanidin을 base로 한 unknown 화합물 1종을 포함, cyanidin 3,5-diglucoside, cyanidin 3-glucoside, peonidin 3-glucoside의 총 4가지 개별성분이 분리 및 동정되었다.
2. Cyanidin 3-glucoside 및 peonidin 3-glucoside이 주요성분으로 cyanidin 3-glucoside의 경우 90% 이상의 가장 높은 함량 비중을 나타냈으며, 개별성분별 평균 함량은 cyanidin 3-glucoside > peonidin 3-glucoside > cyanidin 3,5-diglucoside > unknown(cyanidin based)의 순으로 나타났다.
3. 흑진주벼의 총 안토시아닌 함량은 408 mg/100 g으로 흑남벼보다 약 6배 정도 높은 함량을 나타내었다.
본 시험은 국내육성 내한성 이탈리안 라이그라스의 확대 보급을 위한 종자생산 시험으로 국내육성 품종인 화산 101호 및 코그린의 파종량별 종자수량 구성요소별 특성을 구명하기 위하여 2004년 9월부터 2007년 6월까지 3년간 국립축산과학원 초지사료과 시험 포장에서 수행 되었다. 파종 재식거리는 20 cm 세조파로 파종하였고, 시험구 면적은 (), 파종량 은 5, 10, 20, 30, 40 kg/ha 품종별 5처리 난괴법 3반복으로 수행하였다. 채종시기는

About 50,000 hives of Bombus terrestris are used for pollination of tomato and other economical crops (fruit vegetables and fruit trees) in Korea. Therefore this study was conducted to find out the effective use of B. terrestris and its economic effect in the major beefsteak-tomato cultivation areas from February to August in 2008. The pollinating activities, rate of bite-mark and lifespan of B. terrestris"s hive according to all beefsteak-tomato varieties (Super Momotaro, Zeus42, Mascara and Super Sunroad, 500 ㎡, 9,600~12,000plants) were apparent by regular supplement of pollen (5~6g/3 days) to the hive of B. terrestris. Especially, Super Momotaro and Super Sunroad variety were most distinctive in the effects by regular pollen supplement.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the quality characteristics of tomato sauce, which is widely used in Western cuisine, according to tomato variety. The plum tomato sauce treatment had the highest pH at 4.13 while sauces made with Seo gwang and Young gwang tomatoes exhibited the lowest pH level of 4.07 (p〈0.05). Sweetness was highest in the plum tomato sauce at 9.80˚Brix. This might have been due to the fact that the plum tomato variety was the sweetest among the different tomatoes. There were no significant differences among the treatments in terms of reducing sugars, salinity, or viscosity. A color difference analysis indicated that redness (a-value) was highest in the plum tomato sauce, which contained a high level of lycopene. Sensory evaluations were performed by 15 professional panelists with scoring tests for color, flavor, taste, aftertaste, viscosity, and overall acceptability. The plum tomato sauce received the best scores in every evaluation, except for viscosity. These comparative results will support the development of better quality tomato sauce using plum tomatoes.
This experiment was conducted to determine the effect of varieties and quality of winter crop on palatability of calves for two years. Four Italian ryegrass variety(Kospeed, Kogreen, Kowinearly and Hwasan 101ho), two barley(Youngyang, Yuyeon), and a rye (Winter green) were cultivated at experimental field of National Institute of Animal Science, Cheonan. Four early varieties(Kospeed, Kogreen, Kowinearly and Winter green)were harvested at 20th Dry matter yield of "Hwasan 101 ho" was l8,629㎏/㏊(12,141 + 6,488) and Yeongyang, Youyeon and Winter green were 14,182, 12,487 and 10,935㎏/ha, respectively. Moisture content of Hwasan 101 ho was 81.5% in harvesting time, but wilting for 24 hours might bedecrease moisture content by 65.5%. The relative intake of Hwasan 101 ho, Kowinearly, Kospeed and Kogreen were 34.5, 60, 19.8, 15.7%, respectively. Among forage crop species, relative intake of Italian ryegrass(Hwasan 101 ho), barley(Yeongyang and Youyeon), and Rye(Winter green) were 43.1, 20.9, 20.5 and 15.5%, respectively.
Research on alfalfa root morphology and health is very important in development of technology for efficient improvement and production of alfalfa. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the root morphology and health of two alfalfa varieties, Algonquin and Golden Queen, to determine relationships among root morphology traits and root health. Results from these analyses indicated t㏊t yield was 6.77-43.93 t/h㎡, total root length ranged from 215.17-708.89 ㎜, root surface area ranged from 93.61-717.06 ㎠, volume ranged from 3.24-57.72㎤. Results from these analyses indicated t㏊t root infestation score was the lowest averaged over age of alfalfa stand in Algonquin. Yield in 2-yr old stands was greater in Golden Queen compared to Algonquin.
Seedling drought resistance of three alfalfa cultivars-Medicago sativa L. cv. Aohan, Medicago sativa L. cv. Zhaodong and Medicago sativa L. cv. Tumu No.2 were studied and evaluated. The permeability of plasma membrane, the free proline content and the peroxidase (POD) activity of three alfalfa cultivars were tested at 24h after treating with 20% polyethylene glycol (PEG-6000). The results indicated t㏊t the drought resistance ability of all these varieties was in the order of Medicago sativa L. cv. Aohan, Medicago sativa L. cv. Zhaodong and Medicago sativa L. cv. Tumu No.2.
This experiment was carried out to find out the optimum variety of com hybrids and to find out alternative crops in the rice black-streaked dwarf virus(RBSDV) prevalent area. Productivity of 4 Korean improved and 6 introduced com hybrids and RBSDV infection rate were tested for 3 years in both Cheonan(middle part of Korea) and Gochang(southern part of Korea). Percentage of RBSDV diseased plants differed depending on the hybrid and region.
Forage production and water use efficiency (WUE) of Lucerne were investigated in three varieties at different water availabilities. Forage production decreased with the severity of soil water availability. At 50% field water capacity (FWC), forage production dropped but in two varieties, Algonquin and Longdong, was still high and from 75%FWC to 50%FWC, forage production in Longdong decreased at the least rate. The greatest leaf WUE was observed in Longdong at all soil water availabilities. From 75%FWC to 50%FWC, it increased in Longdong and Xinjiangdaye, but decreased in Algonquin. With the severity of water deficit, δ¹³C value increased in all three varieties. At the same water availability, the greatest value was observed in Longdong. It suggested that moderate water stress can improve WUE in Lucerne. Longdong is to some extent more efficient in water use and may be more drought-tolerant with more steady production at moderate water deficit.
Nymphal development of the B and Q biotypes of Bemisia tabaci was normal on all seven tomato varieties tested. However, their nymphal development was different on red pepper varieties. B biotype was not normally developed on nine red pepper varieties tested. On the contrary, Q biotype was normally developed, but its adult emergence rate was very low in Nokkwang variety than in other eight varieties. The EPG analysis of the feeding behavior of Bemisia tabaci showed that B and Q biotypes had different duration of phloem phases on red pepper. Q biotype showed longer phloem phases than B biotype. On Nokkwang variety, Q biotype had short phloem phases and did not prefer to feed on Nokkwang variety. Interestingly, Q biotype was found to have long duration of phloem phases on eight red pepper varieties, but B biotype did not prefer to feed on red pepper varieties. However, both biotypes did not show any difference in feeding time on tomato varieties.
This study investigated elementary school students' perception, preferences, and intake of Korean traditional foods, focusing specifically on kimchi, tteok (rice cake), and eumcheong (beverage) varieties; and compared them by gender, living with grandparents, mother's occupation, and meal preparation by the grandmother. The subjects were 287 6th grade elementary school students in Busan. The results were as follows: 80% of children were interested in Korean traditional foods. 40% believed that their intake of Korean traditional foods was decreasing because these foods were not palatable to them. The majority of them, however, said they would continue to eat Korean traditional foods as they had done (54.7%) or eat more than before (36.6%) in the future. The children thought that Korean traditional foods were rich in nutrition and good for their health. The children had the highest preference for Baechu-kimchi among varieties of kimchi, and they had high preferences for Songpyeon, Galaitteok, and Injulmi. They had high preferences for Sikhye, citron tea, and adlai tea. Over 80% reported consuming Baechu-kimchi and Kkakdugi three to four times per week. They had eaten Injulmi the most frequently among the tteoks, while over 80% had eaten the other types of tteok only once or twice per month. Adlai tea, citron tea, and Sikhye were drunk more than once per week. In general, we noted no significant differences in the children's perceptions, preferences, and intake of Korean traditional foods by gender, living with grandparents, mother's occupation, and meal preparation by grandmother, with the exception of several items. The students had a very positive perception of Korean traditional foods. They had higher preferences for and had more frequently consumed the more familiar Korean traditional foods. It is therefore suggested that if the children had opportunities to experience Korean traditional foods more frequently and variously at home or in restaurants, they would appreciate Korean traditional foods even more, and develop higher preferences for these foods.
