        인삼 조사포닌과 인삼즙액이 인삼 근부패를 일으키는 병원균 Fusarium solani와 Erwinia carotovora의 생장과 증식 및 포자발아에 미치는 영향을 조사하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 인삼 조 Saponin의 농도가 증가됨에 따라 F. solani의 대형분생포자의 발아율은 억제 되었으며 500 ppm 이상 첨가시 현저하게 억제 되었다. 2. 토양 추출액은 초기에 F. solani의 포자 발아를 억제하는 효과가 있었으나 24시간후에는 무효화되었다. 3. 인삼 조 Saponin의 첨가 농도가 증가됨에 따라 F. solani의 포자형성량이 감소되었으며 고체배지에서 이러한 현상은 더욱 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 4. 인삼 Saponin을 첨가 했을시 균사생장량은 약간 감소되었으나 농도에 따른 감소율은 인정되지 않았다. 5. 인삼 조 사포닌은 농도가 증가 될 수록 F. solani의 Colony 형성을 억제하였으나 인삼즙액은 농도가 증가될수록 현저하게 F. solani의 Colony수를 증가시켰다. 6. 인삼 조 Saponin과 인삼즙액 모두 E. carotovora의 생장을 촉진시켰다.

        Background : This study was conducted to investigate the resistance of Collectotrichum gloeosporioides to 9 fungicides. Methods and Results : With 3 isolates of Collectotrichum gloeosporioides obtained from diseased leaf of ginseng, it was conducted to detect the fungicide resistance of C. gloeosporioides against 9 chemicals through an agar dilution method. PDA medium was used for monitoring the resistance. Among the chemicals, fenhexamid・prochloraz manganese complex, fluazinam and metconazole exhibited high antifungal activity to the ginseng anthracnose fungus. When measuring the effectiveness for the prevention of anthracnose, 3 fungicides at 10 ㎍/㎖ showed 88.1 - 94.7% of preventive effect against C. gloeosporioides. But, the isolates resist to dimethomorph・dithianon, iminoctadine tris (albesilate), kasugamyci n・thiophanate-methyl, dimethomorph・pyraclostrobin, azoxystrobin. Conclusion : In summary, to develop the control system with fungicides, 3 fungicides (fenhexamid・prochloraz manganese complex, fluazinam and metconazole) were applied on ginseng at the indicated time. A reduced spray program based on efficacious fungicides will be useful for ginseng growers and provide more options for controlling anthracnose in Korea.

        This study was carried out to research microorganisms having the antifungal activity against ginseng Alternaria blight pathogen Alternaria panax and ginseng anthracnose pathogen Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. Eleven Bacillus strains. were isolated from Korean traditional soybean paste and Kimchi. Among the 11 isolates, DJ5, KC1, KC2 and KC4 showing antagonistic activity on the mycelial growth of A. panax and C. gloeosporioides in pairing culture were finally selected as the antagonistic microorganisms. Based on 16s rRNA sequence and phylogenetic tree analysis, they were identified as Bacillus spp.. The selected microorganisms were investigated antagonistic activity by measured leaf-segment colonization in pot test. When Bacillus sp. were injected after A. panax treatment, KC1, KC2 and KC4 showed similar effect to chemical pesticides treated control. To measure preventive effect of Bacillus sp, antagonistic microorganisms were injected and C. gloeosporioides was treated in pot. When measuring the effectiveness for the prevention of Anthracnose, All Bacillus spp. showed approximately 83~90 % degree of superior preventive effect. In general, The four Bacillus spp. isolated from Korean traditional fermented foods showed therapeutic effect of Alternaria blight and preventive effect of Anthracnose.

        This study was conducted to find out environment-friendly disease control method to Alternaria blightcaused by Alternaria panax of ginseng. For this study, 150 methanol extracts from medicinal plants were evaluated and theextract of Impatiens balsamina showed most strong antifungal activity against A. panax. The methanol extract of I. balsam-ina showed also stable antifungal activity against other ginseng pathogens such as Botrytis cinerea and Fusarium sp., whentreated by heat or pH. In vivo, Alternaria blight incidence rate was low of 13% with the treatment of I. balsamina methanolextract compared to 35% of the non-treatment. The antifungal compound of I. balsamina was purified and identified byusing a silica gel column chromatography, TLC and ESI-LC/MS/MS analysis. The compound which showed strong antifun-gal activity was identified as 2-methoxy-1,4-naphtoquinone (C11H8O3).
