전통염색지인 아청지(감지 : 쪽물 염색지)의 재현을 위해 고문헌 감지의 색상을 조사한 후 인도 쪽 분말과 전통니람법에 의해 제조한 염색한지의 염색특성을 검토한 결과는 다음과 같다. 인도산 쪽 분말로 제조한 염액으로 1회 염색한 경우 염색시간이 증가함에 따라 염착량과 색차 모두 증가하였으 며, 특히 염색시간 15분까지는 급격히 증가하였으나 이후 85분까지는 매우 완만하였다. 그러나 2회차에는 염색시간이 5분에서 40분까지는 색차나 염착량 모두 1회때 보다 약간 높거나 거의 같았으나, 40분 이후에는 오히려 감소하였다. 따라서 염색시간은 15분~30분 정도가 적정할 것으로 생각된다. 전통니람을 전통발효에 의해 얻은 쪽물로 반복염색(1회: 15분 염색, 15분 발색)하면서 염색횟수에 따른 색상을 비교한 결과, 1회의 염색에서의 색상은 1.9G로 그레이톤이었으나, 염색횟수가 증가함에 따라 색상도 G→BG→B→PB로 변화하며 색차와 염착량 모두 증가하여 고문서 감지의 색상인 PB는 8회의 염색한지에서 나타났다. 고문서 감지의 색차, 염착량 및 색상과 비슷한 염색횟수는 30번째로 색차 9.82, 염착량 8.56, 색상 6.0PB였다. 그러나 염색횟수는 염액의 인디고 함량에 크게 좌우되며, 인디고 함량이 높으면 염색횟수는 단축 가능할 것으로 생각된다.
Electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding is an important issue in modern daily life due to the increasing prevalence of electronic devices and their compact design. This study estimated EMI-shielding effect (EMI-SE) of small (8–14×17 mm) Hanji (Korean traditional paper) doped with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and compared to Hanji without CNT using 2H (92.1 MHz) and 23Na (158.7 MHz) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) peak area data obtained from 1 M NaCl in D2O samples in capillary tubes that were wrapped in the Hanji samples. The simpler method of using the variation of reflected power and tuning frequency by inserting the sample into an NMR coil was also tested at 242.9, 158.7, and 92.1 MHz. Overall, EMI shielding was relatively more effective at the higher frequencies. Our results validated that NMR methods to be useful to evaluate EMI-SE, particularly for small, flexible shielding materials, and demonstrated that EMI shielding by absorption is dominant in Hanji mixed with CNT.
This study examined the risk components and risk types perceived in the context of purchasing decisions of paper fashion products. This study also identified the levels of perceived risk by consumers and the differences between age groups in risk perception. First, qualitative data were collected through a focus group interview with 7 Korean females in their 20s to 50s. The interviewees were presented with two types of paper materials (undyed and dyed Jumchi-Hanji) and products (bags and wallets) made with the papers. The interviewees mentioned 11 risk components which were classified into five types of risks: performance (easily torn/lack of durableness, lint/pilling/wear-out, lack of water-resistant, no washability, and deformation and discoloration over time), social-psychological (old and traditional image), aesthetic (lack of design diversity, unsatisfactory appearance due to repair), financial (expensive price, lack of usability in daily life) and time/convenience (difficulty in handling) risks. Based on the results of the interview, a measurement for evaluating the risk perception of paper fashion products was developed. Second, quantitative data were collected from 64 Korean women in their 20s to 50s using the measurement. Respondents who were presented with the paper materials and the products perceived the performance risk more strongly than the social-psychological risk and aesthetic risk. In addition, differences between age groups were found: younger respondents perceived performance risk and social-psychological risk more strongly than older respondents, but older respondents perceived financial risk more than younger respondents. Based on this study, strategies for the risk reduction of paper fashion products were proposed.
The purpose of this study was to produce a prototype after performing the design for the traditional flooring Hanji after coating. It performs the following test results were as follows. The prototype was commissioned to establish optimal coating conditions through. The production of high quality flooring can be produced after the year 192,000 sheets. Largely due to the coating operation to improve hand and contributed to improving the working environment.
본 연구는 인피섬유만을 사용하여 한지를 제조함에 따라 폐기되어지는 닥나무 목질부로 세라믹을 제조하여 기능성 한지의 첨가제로 이용하기 위해 연구한 결과는 다음과 같다. 다양한 조건에서 제조된 닥나무 세라믹을 첨가한 한지의 원적외선 방사율 및 방사에너지는 수지함침율과 탄화온도가 높을수록 저하되었고 세라믹의 첨가량이 증가할수록 상승하였으며, 세라믹의 첨가로 90% 이상의 비교적 높은 방사율을 나타내었다. 또한 세라믹 한지의 포름알데히드에 대한 탈취율은 수지 함침율과 탄화온도가 높을수록 점차 감소하였지만 세라믹의 첨가량이 증가할수록 상승하여 전체적으로 70% 이상의 의미 있는 탈취율을 나타내었다.
This study analyzes and compares Hanji made with loess to Hanji made with kaolin, two yellow-based inorganic pigments, in terms of its physical properties, optical properties, and color fastness to light with the aim of using it as a fashion material. Hanji made by adding inorganic pigments showed an approximately 20% retention ratio on average. This figure was similar to those of loess and kaolin. Physical properties were analyzed, with the following results. A higher amount of additives lowered the apparent density and increased thickness and bulk. In general, inorganic pigment-added Hanji had lower tensile strength, bursting strength, and folding endurance compared to non-additive Hanji. The analysis of optical properties showed a lower brightness index for Hanji made with inorganic pigments compared to non-additive Hanji. When comparing the two inorganic pigments, the brightness of Hanji made with kaolin was higher. Regarding color fastness to light, loess showed level 4 and kaolin showed level 5 when 25% inorganic pigments on pulp were added to Hanji. Thus, Hanji made by adding inorganic pigments during the manufacturing process may perform well as materials for fashion because the additives enhanced both the color fastness to light and the bulk while maintaining the strength. In addition, Hanji dyed with inorganic pigments may have the potential to serve as materials for the fashion industry while still retaining the characteristics of Hanji.
본 연구는 우리나라의 전통문화인 한지의 다양한 용도를 개발하고, 인피섬유를 주원료로 하는 한지의 특성상 폐기되어져 왔던 닥나무 목질부를 이용하여 기능성 재료인 세라믹의 제조 및 한지벽지에 이용되는데 기초 자료를 제공하고자 하였으며 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 다양한 조건에서 제조된 닥나무 세라믹을 첨가한 수초지는 세라믹 제조 시의 수지함침율, 탄화온도 및 세라믹의 첨가량에 따라 전반적인 물리적 성질은 감소하였으나 인열지수는 거의 변화가 없었다. 또한 투기도의 경우에서는 세라믹이 닥섬유의 섬유결합을 저해하여 크게 증가하였다. 한편, 한지벽지로서 습윤인장강도, 일광견뢰도, 습윤마찰견뢰도, 은폐성 등은 KS 벽지 규격을 만족시켰으나 건조마찰견뢰도는 규격에 미달되어 이에 대한 보완이 요구되었다. 따라서 폐기성 닥나무 목질부를 활용하여 세라믹을 제조 및 한지벽지에 이용함으로서 닥나무 목질부의 다양한 활용도 개발과 양호한 품질의 한지벽지를 제조하는데 충분한 가능성을 확인하였다.
Background: To investigate the possibility of using Asarum sieboldii as an environment-friendly fumigant for protecting organic cultural heritages, the inhibitory effect of A. sieboldii extract against wood rot fungi on Hanji was examined. Methods and Results: The physical, optical, and morphological properties of Hanji inoculated with Trametes versicolor and Tyromyces palustris, and exposed to the n-hexane fraction of A. sieboldii extract, were measured. The physical properties were expressed as weight loss, zero-span tensile strength and viscosity and the optical properties were depicted by luminance and chromaticity (L*, a*, and b*). The results showed that, the n-hexane fraction of A. sieboldii extract inhibited the growth of fungi on Hanji, and preserved its condition. At a concentration of 25 ㎎, the n-hexane fraction of A. sieboldii extract maintained zero-span tensile strength, increased viscosity, and restricted discoloration of Hanji. It also was confirmed that the weight of fungi infested Hanji exposed to the extract did not decrease. Scanning electron microscopic images revealed that the spores and hyphae of T. versicolor and T. palustris were not present on Hanji during treatment with > 25 ㎎ of the n-hexane fraction of A. sieboldii extract. Conclusions: These results indicate that the n-hexane fraction of A. sieboldii extract by virtue of its antifungal effectiveness may help in preserving Korean paper cultural heritages, including Hanji.
