Parasites have co-evolved with their host for a long period of time, resulting in unique parasitic systems tailored to each host species. This makes them suitable for research on physiological function control through cross-species molecules like miRNA. The body louse, a vector of bacterial pathogens, is particularly valuable as a model insect due to their frequent feeding on human blood, which results in the continuous ingestion of human-derived miRNA and injection of salivary gland-derived miRNA into the human body. In this study, we conducted miRNA sequencing on body lice with mixed stages and identified 105 miRNAs, including 50 novel miRNAs. Sequence analysis of human miRNAs remaining in body lice and the functional analysis of these miRNAs are in progress.
In this paper, we propose a analysis of domestic and foreign standards on protecting human body from EMF(Electromagnetic filed) and effect of the human body through EMF analysis of military electronic equipment in operation. We measured the EMF intensity of the side lobe and back lobe main beam on Radar Equipment at an accessible position. As a result, it was confirmed that the measured EMF intensity of three types of radar equipment did not exceed the standard on domestic protecting human body from EMF.
Currently, agriculture in Korea is facing a manpower shortage due to a decrease in the population and an aging workforce. Involving disabled people in agriculture as a solution to the problem of manpower shortage in agriculture can help both farmers and people with disabilities. For this, it is necessary to develop agricultural tools that disabled people can use in agricultural activities. This study tried to design agricultural work equipment for the disabled by applying a design technique using a digital human body model. To this end, in this study, a human body model for the disabled was created using anthropometric data for the disabled. After that, the agricultural work simulation using human body models was used to identify the problems in agricultural work of the disabled, and design supplementation was performed to solve the problems. As a result, design dimensions such as the height of the farm work bench for the disabled, the length of the fruit harvester, the length of the sprayer, and the height of the starter switch were determined. This study has significance in that the digital human body model-based design method was applied to the design of agricultural work equipment for the disabled.
하이테크놀로지를 여러 가지 다른 영역과 융합하고자 하는 노력이 다양한 연구 분야에서 시도되고 있으며, 스포츠웨 어를 개발함에 있어 운동선수의 운동능력을 향상시키기 위한 분야에 이러한 첨단 기술들이 도입되고 있다. 본 연구는 스포츠 훈련에 도움이 되는 동작 센싱 스마트 스포츠웨어를 개발하기 위한 기초 연구로서, 조정 동작 시 관절의 움직임 을 측정할 수 있는 동작 센서를 부착하기 위한 인체상의 최적 위치를 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구에서는 일관된 동작을 반복적으로 수행할때 관절의 변화가 큰 조정을 대상 스포츠로 선정하였으며, 조정 선수의 대표 체급인 중량급과 경량급의 피험자를 선정하여 동작에 따른 피부의 변화율을 측정하여 체급별 차이를 분석하였다. 먼저, 3차원 모션캡처 시스템을 이용하여 조정 동작 시 등, 팔꿈치, 엉덩이, 무릎 부위의 피부 변화를 촬영하고, 각 마커 간 거리의 변화율을 분석함으로써 체급에 따른 차이를 보이지 않으면서 동작에 따라 피부의 변화가 큰 부분을 인체 상에 도시하였 다. 이를 바탕으로 동작 센싱용 스마트 스포츠웨어를 위한 센서 부착의 가이드라인을 제시하였다.
Human body and head lice are obligatory human ectoparasites. Although both body and head lice belong to a single species, Pediculus humanus, only body lice are known to be a vector of several bacterial diseases. The higher vector competence of body lice is assumed to be due to their weaker immune response than that of head lice. To test this hypothesis, immune reactions were compared between body and head lice following infections by two model bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, and a human pathogen, Bartonella quintana. Following dermal or oral challenge, the number of these bacteria increased both in hemocoel and alimentary tract of body lice but not in head lice and the viability of the B. quintana was significantly higher in body louse feces, the major route of infection to human. In addition, body lice showed the lower basal/induced transcription level of major immune genes, cytotoxic reactive oxygen species and phagocytosis activity compared with head lice. These findings suggest that a reduced immune response may be responsible, in part, for the increased proliferation and excretion of viable bacteria which are associated with the high level of human infectivity seen in body versus head lice.
This study analyzed the total number of 19,636 patients and radiation technologists, 11,433 of male and 8,203 of female by examined body parts, age, types of detectors, the using contrast enhancement and working condition of the technologists, regular staffs or rotation-duty staffs, based on the K-DOS program distributed by FDA with the DLP value of diagnostic evaluation. The result shows that the effective radiation dose was 0.7mSv~41.7mSv for each region and male patients had more radiation exposure than females. And the amount of exposure was also affected by the types and the method of detectors. Furthermore, the regular staffs took the role of helping the patient to get reduced amount of radiation exposure than rotation duty-staffs. Computed tomography (CT) use has increased dramatically over the past several decades. In this reason, to support the patients and the workers’ health in the field, the hospitals should apply specialized regular working radiation technologist system and manufacturing companies of those CTs should develop low medical radiation exposure devices.
The purpose of this study was to investigate temporal and spatial variations, and moments of the lower extremities of gait while playing the game with smartphone under different curb-heights. Ten male elementary school students(from 10 years to 13 years old) participated in this study. Twelve infrared cameras(Oqus-500) and two force plates(9260AA) were used for collecting data and these were processed via Visual 3D software. In conclusion, with or without smartphone and with different curb-heights, the spatial and temporal parameters of walking were not the same and coefficients of variations were not consistent. The maximum joint moments of the lower extremities with or without smartphone were not statistically significant but those of hip and ankle joint were statistically significant with regard to the different heights of the curbs.
유비쿼터스 헬스케어 기술 및 휴대용 전자기기의 발전은 지속적으로 전원을 공급하기 위한 새로운 에너지원을 요구하고 있으며, 이러한 점에서 의류를 통한 인체 에너지 수확 시스템의 연구가 요청되고 있다. 인체에너지를 수확하는 방식의 하나인 열전은 인체와 주위 환경간의 온도차이로부터 에너지를 수확하는 방식으로, 본 연구에서 의복을 통한 열전에너지 수확의 기초자료를 확보하기 위하여 인체표면 온도의 분포를 실증적으로 고찰하였다. 이를 위해 체표 구간을 설정하고 구간별 온도분포를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 상체의 체표온도가 하체에 비해 높았고 특히 심장과 가깝고 혈류량이 많은 몸통 부위의 체표온도가 높았다. 뒷목과 등, 허리의 후면 부위 체표온도가 앞면에 비해 높았으며, 팔 부위의 경우 위쪽 부위의 체표온도가 아래쪽 부위보다 높고 팔 후면이 정면과 측면에 비해 온도가 낮게 나타났다. 체표 구간별 평균 온도와 환경온 간의 차이값이 가장 높아 열전 수확 기능구조 설치에 가장 적합한 위치는 뒷목 부위로 나타났고, 등과 허리 부위, 측면 어깨부위, 가슴 부위, 정면 위팔 부위, 배 부위가 그 뒤를 이었다. 이러한 인체표면 온도분포 결과를 토대로, 본 연구에서는 열에너지 수확의류 개발을 위한 기본 지침을 도출하였다.
본 논문에서는 Funology(퍼놀로지)와 몸의 체험 통해 형성된 언어개념 및 사고를 바탕으로 새로운 어플리케이션 분류 체계를 연구하고, 이를 Funology Body로 명명하였다. Funology Body는 크게 몸, 세계(환경), 디바이스 툴의 구성을 가진 분류 및 검색 체계이다. 몸은 신체의 부위에 따라 Brain, Eyes, Ears, Nose, Mouth, Hand, Torso, Feet, Heat로 구분할 수 있는데, 몸 부분의 개념과 관련된 앱을 연결시켜 분류체계를 구성함으로써 쉽고 직관적이며, 체험적인 검색을 가능하게 하였다. 봄의 구성 중 Brain은 사고와 관련된 어플리케이션을 포함할 수 있도록 Book, Account, Business, Memory, Education, Search, Aphorism로 하위분류되어 있으며, Eyes는 시각과 관련된 Video, Photography, Broadcast로, Ears는 청각과 관련된 Music, Instrument, Audio, Radio로, Nose는 후각과 관련된 Perfume, Smell로, Mouth는 먹을 것 및 의사소통과 관련된 Food, SNS, Chatting, Email, Blog로 Hand는 조작하고 만들고 장난치는 것과 관련된 Games, Kits, Editing으로 Torso는 내장을 보호하고 몸의 중심을 이루는 개념과 관련된 Health, Medical, Dance, Sport, Fashion, Testyuorself로 Feet는 이동하여 영토를 넓히는 개념과 관련된 Travel, Transportation, Map, Outdoor로, Heat는 감정과 관련된 Fear, Anger, Joy, Sadness, Acceptance, Disgust, Expectation, Surprise로 이루어져 있다. 그밖에 세계(환경)는 News, Time, Weather, Map, Fortune, Shop으로 디바이스 툴은 Interface, Utilities로 구성되어 있다. 직관적이고, 감각적인 재미를 줄 수 있다는 것뿐만 아니라 변화하는 어플리케이션 사용자의 태도와 취향을 유연성 있게 반영할 수 있다는 점에서 기존 분류체계와는 다른 Funology Body의 특정을 찾을 수 있다.
여름철 에너지 절약, 온실가스 줄이기, 직장인의 건강증진 등을 위한 쿨맵시 캠페인에 대하여 범국민 인식 및 실천의 필요를 바탕으로, 본 연구는 착의실험을 통해 클맵시 권장복장 착용시의 생리적 반응 및 주관적 감각에 대해 분석하였다. 1차 실험은 두 복장, 즉 일반복장, 쿨맵시 권장복장에 대한 생리적 반응의 측정으로서, 두 환경기온 25℃와 27℃, 상대습도 50%R.H.에서 20대 성인남성 4명을 대상으로 실험을 행하였다. 일반복장은 긴팔 셔츠 정장바지 차림이었고 쿨맵시 권장복장은 넥타이 없이 반팔셔츠에 정장바지 차림이었다. 피험자는 30분간의 안정기를 가진 후 60분 동안 실험을 실시하였는데 사무실 작업과 유사한 컴퓨터 워드작업을 행하였고, 피부온, 직장온, 의복하 습도, 발한량, 온열감, 습윤감, 쾌적감 등을 측정하였다. 대부분의 반응에서 25℃ 일반복장의 경우와 27℃ 쿨맵시복장의 경우가 유사한 결과를 나타내고 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 25℃ 쿨맵시복장의 경우에는 저강도 작업이 지속되면 직장온의 저하가 우려되었으며 27℃ 일반복장에서는 고 평균 피부온, 고 발한량, 높은 온열감 등을 보였다. 2차 실험은 일반복장을 착용한 채 환경온도를 점진적으로 하강시키면서 권장 여름철 냉방온인 27℃에서 쿨맵시 권장복장을 착용한 경우의 피부온도를 발현시키는 실내 환경온도를 찾는 것이었다. 그 결과 권장복장 경우의 피부온을 나타내려면 일반복장의 경우에는 환경온을 2℃를 더 낮추어야만 하였다. 여름철 실내 환경온을 27℃로 높이고 쿨맵시 권장복장을 착용하는 것이 사무실의 장시간 저강도 작업 하에서는 피부온, 주관적 온열감이 우수하였다.
The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of heat appli˗ cation on the immune activities of the human body. To exam, further˗ more, the immune effect from the healthy volunteer(male:15, female:15) by monitoring changes of immune substances such as various leukocytes[total white blood cell(WBC), eosinophil, neutrophil, basophil, monocyte, and lymphocyte], a comparative study with warm water immersion(40.8±0.3℃) and infrared(250W) was carried out. The plasma analysis showed that the count of white blood cell, eosinophil, and neutrophil were elevated in warm water immersion- or infrared˗ stimulated group compared with control group. However, the count of basophil was decreased in both warm water immersion- and infrared-stimulated group than control group. Therefore, these results suggest that the thermostimulation improved immune activity.
To search for hyper-variable genetic markers that can distinguish regional populations of head lice, we screened the inter simple sequence repeats (ISSR) based on the genome database of body louse, which is closely related conspecific species. An ISSR mining software, SciRoKo 3.4, was employed to excavate ISSR markers from the genome database under the MISA mode (≥ 60 bp repeats). Entire body louse genome (ca.100 Mb) was loaded to SciRoKo for ISSRs mining. A total of 5,336 ISSRs were obtained, and primers specific to individual ISSRs were designed by the Primer 3 and DesignPrimer 1.0 softwares. In order to prove the compatibility of body louse ISSRs to head lice, 31 PCR primers were randomly chosen out of a total of 613 pairs, and their appropriateness was tested by comparing the amplified PCR band patterns between body and head lice. Eleven primer pairs that resulted in poor or little amplification were excluded, and 20 primer pairs were further tested for three head louse populations (California, Panama and Chung-ju, Korea). Finally, nine primer pairs ensuring robust amplification of highly variable band patterns were selected to use for population genetic study of head lice.
Recently, Clinical reports about reducing the delivery time, pain, instrument delivery, and C-section by increasing intrauterine pressure through giving a steady pressure on fundus have been released. However, the use of fundal pressure during the labor is a cause of great concern about medical malpractice and accidents caused by overpressure on fundus. To practice fundal pressure in safe way, medical device is designed. The device consists of inflatable belt, controller, and TOCO transducer; it inflates the belt to give air pressure onto fundus. In this study, we propose the shape of belt to give an air pressure on fundus equally, efficiently, and safely.
Body lice (Pediculus humanus humanus), obligatory human ectopasites, differ from conspecific head lice (Pediculus humanus capitas) in the choice of habitat and the capacity of disease transmission. Only body lice are known to naturally transmit a variety of human diseases, including epidemic typhus, trench fever and relapsing fever. Such differences in vectoral capacity are expected to be due to their differences in immune responses during pathogen invasion. Here, we annotated 94 immune related genes from the body louse genome and determined the differences in the transcription profiling of immune related genes between the head and body lice by qrt-PCR. In general, head louse females showed more sensitive immune responses than body louse females to Staphylococcu. aureus dermal challenge as judged by selective induction of defensin 2 in head lice. In contrast, when the 3rd nymphs were orally challenged, body lice exhibited more sensitive immune responses than head louse to Escherichia coli as judged by selective induction of defensin 1 and PGRP in body lice. These stage- and pathogen-specific differences in immune responses should provide basic insight on the vector competencies in the head and body lice.
For development of a human body model for electric shock, electroconductive paints with carbon black as a filler material were developed. The characteristics of the volume resistivities of thin films fabricated using the electroconductive paints were investigated as a function of the particle sizes and content of carbon black. With a carbon black particle size over 80 μm, agglomeration of carbon black powders was observed. The volume resistivity of the particles increased as the porosity increased and as the amount of carbon black decreased due to the agglomeration of carbon black powders. With a particle size of 4 μm and 20 μm, agglomeration of carbon black powders was not observed and their porosities were measured as 0.86% and 1.12% with volume resistivities of 20 Ω·cm and 80 Ω·cm respectively. A carbon black particle size of less than 20 μm is considered to be suitable as a type of electric-shock electroconductive paint for a human body model.
인체측정 시, sheet를 이용한 계측치 기록에 의한 직접측정 방법은 계측치 입력시간이 오래 걸리고, 입력과정에서 착오가 생길 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 계측치 입력과정에서 발생할 수 있는 착오를 감소시키고, 계측 소요시간을 단축시키기 위해 샅높이 항목과 큰․작은․둥근 수평자 항목에서의 인체측정 실시간 입력 프로그램을 개발하였다. 본 시스템은 인체측정과 동시에 입력 화면에 계측치가 실시간으로 입력되고, 모든 항목의 측정을 마치면 자동으로 각 피험자명으로 저장된 Excel파일과 Access DB가 생성된다. 남녀피험자 50명을 대상으로 새롭게 개발한 인체측정 실시간 입력 프로그램을 사용하여 계측을 실시한 결과 sheet를 이용하는 기존 Martin식 계측법과 비교하여 샅높이 항목과 큰․작은 수평자를 사용하는 항목에서 유의한 시간 절감 효과를 확인할 수 있었다.
This study is to develop a device of bath-seat with massage which is attached to bath-seat and is able to sustain massage on perineal region and anus effectively. And also develop new programmed driving-seat that is able to protect drowsiness. This seat is operated easily by user controlling time period (eg. 30 minutes or 60 minutes) of vibration. During the vibration, user can make a choice of making n sound which is proved as a better effects for concentration and comfort.
