        As information technology advanced, customers’ service consumption process heavily shifted to the online environment, particularly social media and mobile. A new topic, customer engagement, has emerged along with the fast advancement of social media. Customer engagement refers to a type of customer behavior that is beyond purchase such as spreading word-of-mouth, providing recommendations to family and friends, interacting with fellow customers, and writing online reviews (Bijmolt et al., 2010; Verhoef, Reinartz, & Krafft, 2010). This study introduces the Flow theory, which is especially important to understand consumers’ online experiences, with the intention to shed light on how to better engage consumers in the hospitality industry (Bilgihan, Okumus, Nusair, & Bujisic, 2014; Hoffman & Novak, 2009). The purpose of this study is to examine the antecedents of flow and further investigate its influence on positive attitude and continuance intention among restaurant social media users. This study specifically examines restaurant customers who use social media through their smart phones in searching information and sharing experiences with others. A self-administered questionnaire was developed and a Structure equational modeling (SEM) was employed to test the proposed hypotheses. Study results support the hypotheses, indicating the importance of creating flow to increase customer engagement. Academically, this study contributes to the limited body of literature on flow experience and customer engagement in the hospitality context. Additionally, it provides practical insights for hospitality marketers on how to gain competitive advantages by strategically managing customer engagement on social media marketing through flow.

        This study tries to focus on the psychological influence by social media on user and tries to find a relationship between psychological influence and consumption patterns. Therefore, we contend that social media are platforms of interaction in that they can generate social empowerment—users feeling that they have an impact on others which gives them high self-worth (Sara Hanson, 2017) and temporarily rise self-worth can lead low self-control. Khan and Dhar (2006) find that a prior virtuous act can momentarily increase one’s self-concept, which leads to more self-indulgence in unrelated decisions. In this paper, we also investigated the two types of social media users by their presentation focus (self vs. other). In social media, there are two types of users: player & watcher. Players are users who have many followers, post lots of information about themselves and need love and attention from other users. Thus, a player which is called self-presentation focus (Wilcox, 2013) is defined as a user who focuses on information they are presenting to people in social media. In contrast, watchers are users who don’t post information on social media as actively as players but love to observe and like or dislike other users’ posts. Thus, a watcher which is called other-presentation focus (Wilcox, 2013) is defined as a user who focuses on information people present to them in social media and this is called other-presentation focus. In general, players could feel more social empowerment because posting information can be one of the activities involving interacting with other users. However, we contend that watchers will feel rather more social empowerment because having an impact, or having the feeling of social empowerment, involves the perception that one’s actions are beneficial to others, which is giving a like or comment to other user in social media (Grant and Campbell 2007). This research will have several theoretical and managerial implications. First, this study will show the influence of social media on users’ behavior and mentality, and which are related to self-control and social-empowerment. Second, this study will discover which type of social media user can be affected effectively by firms’ social media efforts.

        Food hazards caused by Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point(HACCP) products are closely related to the failure of prerequisite program. ISO 22000 introduced the Operational Prerequisite Program (OPRP) to enhance management of the prerequisite program. This program has started to strengthen discriminatory management of hazards identified as high in risk analysis but not selected as Critical Control Points. In addition, the US-FDA has begun to apply Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) obligations to all foods manufacturing and distribution including imported foods. The basic concept of the FSMA is Hazard Analysis and Risk-based Preventive Control (HARPC), which is similar to the OPRP. It is necessary to strengthen the management of the prerequisite program by using the OPRP or HARPC concept, which will improve the effectiveness of HACCP operation.

        This study was targeted on the non-processed, semi-processed, and full-processed seafood to investigate the consumers’ importance and satisfaction levels of purchase attributes for each seafood product. The present study conducted a survey on 335 randomly chosen seafood consumers. Respondents' importance-satisfaction scores of purchase attributes were measured. The results were as follows. The importance of purchase attributes was significantly higher than the satisfaction on 21 out of 23 attributes, according to the non-processed, semi-processed, and full-processed seafood(p<0.05). Consumers regarded intrinsic attributes such as ‘freshness’ of products as very important when purchasing non-processed seafood, and their satisfaction was also high. On the other hand, for semi-processed and full-processed seafood, external attributes such as ‘date of manufacture or expiration date’ were considered as more important attributes to purchase them. Consumers also perceived that full-processed seafood was less in quantity and more expensive than non-processed and semi-processed ones. In case of semi-processed seafood, the difference of importance-satisfaction score for ‘taste’ was large, and it was considered the taste should be improved according to consumers’ taste.

        본 연구는 설악산 지역 남교리에서 대청봉에 이르는 구간의 고도별 식물 종풍부도 패턴 및 이러한 패턴에 영향을 미치는 요인으로서 기후 및 지형인자의 상대적 중요성을 구명하기 위해 수행되었다. 식생 조사 결과, 남교리에서 대청봉에 이르는 구간에서 총 71과, 147속, 211종의 식물이 관찰되었으며, 이 가운데 목본식물은 91종(43%), 초본식물은 120종(57%)이 관찰되었다. 고도가 증가함에 따라 목본식물의 풍부도는 감소하는 패턴을 나타낸 반면, 초본식물의 풍부도는 증가하는 패턴을 보였다. 이러한 분포 패턴을 설명하는 요인들에 대한 회귀분석 결과, 목본 및 초본식물의 종풍부도는 기후 및 지형인자 모두에 의해 제어됨을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 변이분할을 통해 두 인자들 사이의 상대적 중요성을 분석한 결과, 목본식물의 풍부도는 기후인자가, 초본식물의 풍부도는 지형인자가 더 중요한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 소규모 공간 수준에서의 고도에 따른 식물종의 풍부도 패턴과 그 제어인자는 목본 및 초본식물 사이에 다를 수 있다는 것을 나타낸다.

        One of the key components to determine polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) performances is a polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM), the representative PEM material is perfluorinated sulfonic acid (PFSA) ionomers. PFSA ionomers such as Nafion®and 3M® ionomers have been widely used as PEM materials for fuel cells owing to their excellent chemical inertness and high proton conductivity. Generally, polymeric materials are highly influenced by the membrane fabrication histories including casting solvents, thermal annealing temperature and time, when they are converted in the membrane forming process. In this study, 3M PFSA ionomer membranes were systematically prepared under different fabrication histories. Their morphological contribution on fundamental characteristics, transport behavior, and electrochemical performances were disclosed.

        This study was conducted to determine the elements that are required and that need improvement in the contents of dietary life education and the educational environment by analyzing the importance-satisfaction of a dietary life education program for dietary life education trainees. The results of the rank test for the satisfactory elements of dietary life education were in the order of competence of instructors, educational contents, time of education, educational environment and affordability of tuition. The importance-satisfaction analysis of the contents and construction of the dietary life education program showed that “suitable contents for the theme of the class”, “contents and construction of practice class”, “diversity of practice menu” and “diversity of educational contents” had high importance and satisfaction scores and therefore, could be maintained at their current levels. Meanwhile, “adequacy of class time” and “contents and construction of theory class” showed low importance and satisfaction scores, requiring a little effort. Whereas, “time and construction of group practice”, “structure of textbook for class” and “duration of course and number of classes” showed relatively low satisfaction compared to importance, requiring major efforts for improvement. Similarly, analysis of the lecture element from dietary life education showed that “professional lecture by instructors”, “lectures suitable for themes” and “lecture applicable in real life” had relatively low satisfaction compared to importance, requiring major efforts for improvement. In addition, analysis of the educational environment from dietary life education showed that “adequacy of lecture room space”, “cooking equipment”, “diversity of cooking utensils” and “sanitary condition of cooking utensils” also require major efforts for improvement. Therefore, dietary life education should not be executed with a simple delivery of knowledge but with both theory and practice classes to increase its application in real life, and active and specific efforts are required to nurture professional instructors and establish educational strategies.

        This study analyzes residents’ views on rural resources and facilities necessary for rural resource development. The data utilized for the analysis is a questionnaire targeting local residents living in Yuchon-ri, Musu-ri, Yudeung-myeon, Sunchang-gun, and Jeollabuk-do. The analysis methods used herein include multi-attribute utility theory, to assess the importance of community resources; variance analysis to determine the importance of developmental directions; and multiple response and cross-analysis to analyze the facilities required for each project. The results are as follows: “Seomjin River”, “specialized crops”, “Oktaek creek”, and the “bike lane along Seomjin River” were rated highly as community resources. Respondents evaluated the developmental directions in descending order of importance, i.e., “cultivating specialized crops”, “fostering environmentally-friendly agriculture”, “processing agricultural specialty products”, “improving rural landscapes”, “revitalizing rural tourism and hands-on experiences” and “ameliorating living environments”. Regarding facilities required for each project respondents prioritized “expanding basic living grounds”, the establishment of “health care maintenance facilities” and the “expansion and paving of village roads”. Also frequently requested were “facilities for increasing local incomes”, the “direct transaction of agricultural products”, “facilities for processing agricultural specialty products” and “establishing a distribution system for agricultural specialty products”. Many respondents also expressed their need for “sales facilities” and “facilities for hands-on experiences” in order to “revitalize rural tourism”. With respect to facilities for “ameliorating local landscapes” respondents wished to “establish community symbolic structures”, “plant roadside trees”, “revamp vacant or deserted properties” and “tidy up the areas surrounding community centers.” Needs were identified such as “education for local residents”, “community leader- fostering training”, and “taking tours of advanced areas” in order to “enhance the capabilities of local areas”, Given such analysis results, it can be seen that local residents place greater emphasis on the rural resource developments whereby they can better increase their revenues. Respondents would like the developmental directions from which they can create value related to producing, processing, and experiencing specialty crops. In order to set the direction for the development of these rural, future research must meticulously examine the resources scattered through rural and create measures that can be directly linked to rural household incomes and regional revenues.

        The DQMS (Defence Quality Management System) is a certification system that manages participating companies to improve the quality of munitions. Since Korean Defense Specification (KDS) for DQMS certification that was established by adding military requirements based on the ISO quality standard, many companies complain that they should pay too much effort into the preparation process. However, it is hard to find helpful information on the preparation process because we have been only interested in the effect of DQMS acquisition. The purpose of this paper is to provide helpful information to companies preparing for DQMS certification. We surveyed the degree of difficulty and importance of the DQMS requirements from the companies with certification experience, and performed IDA (Importance-Difficulty analysis) by dividing the companies into the main contractor and the subcontractor. The result of IDA shows that there is a different recognition to the DQMS certification between main-contracting and sub-contracting companies. Subcontractor has more difficulties than main contractor in preparing the DQMS certification. In addition, we are able to identify the difficult and important requirements in the preparation process to the DQMS certification. Both main contractor and subcontractor have difficulty to the requirements related to configuration or validation such as ‘customer controls configuration’, ‘configuration review shall be implemented’ and ‘design and development validation documentation.’ The requirements related to customers are important to main contractor but the subcontractor regards difficult requirements as important ones. The result of this paper would be helpful to both the company preparing for DQMS and the munitions quality assurance agency.

        Mobile games’ proportion in domestic game industry has been rising steadily every year and in next couple of years, it is likely to surpass online games. Considering that mobile games’ lifespan is very short compared to online games, recognizing the user’s needs at the beginning is important. However, there is a lack of research in such game field. This research is about mobile games’ initial experience importance in temporal viewpoint. Furthermore, it has verified whether this depends on user’s characteristic. I have conducted observation experiment on users of ‘Lineage M’, mobile MMORPG game, for one week starting from the game launch and deducted the importance of initial experience using AHP analysis. Moreover, by analyzing the differences in users’ proficiency, the research provides understanding of diverse users. In conclusion, this research provides basic data for improving satisfaction of initial game users and extending them to long-term game use.

        This study reveals the components of college women’s shopping orientations and compares the attributes of shoes accordingly. This study attempts to investigate the needs of consumers in the target market of young women by comparing the importance of shoe attributes with their shopping orientations and to provide basic data for efficient marketing strategies which could increase sales. Data was collected using a questionnaire survey. Of a total of 330 questionnaires, 319 were used for statistical analysis. The survey was carried out from July to August 2016. The 17 shopping orientation-related questions and 13 questions about shoe purchase attributes were measured using a five-point Likert Scale. SPSS 23 was used to carry out: descriptives, factor analysis, reliability analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, and Duncan’s test. Shopping orientations were divided between brand orientation, pleasure orientation, trend orientation and utilitarian orientation. Shoe attributes were categorized into ostentation value, product value, economic value and aesthetic value. College women were divided into the following groups: active shopping, passive shopping, rational shopping and conforming shopping. According to the comparison of the importance of shoe attributes by consumer type among college women, a significant difference by group was found in ostentation value and aesthetic value only. Furthermore, the average scores on the importance of product value and economic value were very high without significant differences between groups. The study results would be available as basic data to help improving the visual image of shoes and product quality for brands targeting young women in the fashion industry.

        According to this tendency, Japanese fashion consumption was characterized as conventional and normative. From a historical point of view, the norms on which the Japanese based their fashion choices were mainly imported from American and European countries or the fashions of movie stars and fashion magazines. However, lifestyles and fashion consumption in Japan has increasingly become diversified and personality-driven, leading Japanese consumers to enjoy fashion based on their individual lifestyles. This has resulted in individuals considering various clothing norms and keeping away from fashion magazines depicting the latest fashion trends in Japan. This currently poses a serious threat to the fashion business, as magazines are the main marketing tools in this industry. Therefore, in addition to a rise in Internet media and decreasing incomes, the sales of many fashion magazines, with the exception of a few, continue to drop. However, some magazines have managed to increase their sales circulation slightly. Through interviews with directors of fashion magazines, I found that the key to increasing sales is focusing on non-celebrity endorsers. Existing studies (mainly advertising studies) declined that celebrity endorsers (e.g., actors, models, and spokespersons) lead to consumption (e.g., Atkin & Block, 1983; Baker & Churechill, 1977; Callcott & Phillips, 1996; Debevec & Kernan, 1984; Friedman & Friedman, 1979, Kahle & Homer, 1985; Langmetyer & Walker, 1991; McCracken, 1989; Pornpitakapan, 2003). This study observes the importance of non-celebrity effects on fashion consumption. I conducted internet research on the declining relationship between fashion consumption and non-celebrity effects. In addition, I compared celebrity and non-celebrity effects for readers of fashion magazines (n=613). As a result of ANOVA (comparing readers committing to foreign celebrity, foreign non-celebrity, national celebrity, and national non-celebrity), significant differences were confirmed in all items of consumer’s evaluation of endorsers

        The study subjects were 302 adult males and females aged more than 20 years living in the metropolitan area of South Korea. This study was conducted to obtain baseline data to establish proper development and marketing strategies by examining the effects of food-related lifestyles on the importance of diet, purchasing behavior towards diet lunch boxes, and their selected attributes such as menu, packaging, and services. With respect to food-related lifestyle, a cluster analysis was performed by using five factors such as convenience factor, health factor, safety factor, taste factor, and economy factor obtained from factor analysis to derive the economy type, the taste and economy type, the convenience type, the safety type, and the health type. As a result, the respondents regarded 'food hygiene (4.59)', 'freshness (4.47)', 'taste (4.28)', and 'nutrient balance (4.19)' as the selected attributes of diet lunch box menus. Moreover, the importance of diet lunch box menus (β=0.179) was increased with increasing safety orientation. 'Shelf life label (4.42)' was the most important selected attribute of diet lunch boxes, followed by 'ingredient label (4.19)', 'nutrition facts label (4.16)', and 'indication of origin (4.15)'. In particular, the importance of packaging for diet lunch boxes (β=0.203) was increased with increasing safety orientation. With respect to the selected attributes of services in purchasing diet lunch boxes, 'provision of personalized menus (4.07)' was the most important, and the importance of services for diet lunch box (β=0.160) was increased with increasing taste and economy orientation. Based on the above results, the respondents gave importance to the selected attributes related to food safety and health such as hygiene and, freshness. In addition, they also placed emphasis on hygiene and safe factors such as shelf life, ingredients, and nutrition facts labels. Therefore, it is considered necessary to develop diet lunch boxes by taking these factors into account. Furthermore, in services for diet lunch boxes, it is considered necessary to establish a service system capable of providing consumers with specialized menu or nutrition counseling according to the food-related lifestyle for their proper health management. Particularly, because consumers place emphasis on both food hygiene and safety, and health, it is considered necessary to thoroughly manage hygiene, safety, and nutrition in menu or packaging so that it is possible to enhance customer satisfaction by considering these selected attributes in greater detail.

        The purpose of this paper is to improve the service tree analysis introduced recently by Geum et al. [15]. Service tree analysis structures the service based on the customer participation perspective and provides a qualitative analysis method categorizing the service elements on the basis of its impact to top service. This paper attempts to apply the concept of reliability importance to the service tree analysis as a perspective of quantitative analysis, which is considered little in Geum et al. [15]. Reliability importance is a measure of the structural impact of the components that make up the system on the system lifetime in reliability engineering field and often used in fault tree analysis. We transform the reliability importance into service importance in accordance with service tree analysis, so that the influence of service elements on the service can be judged and compared. The service importance is defined as the amount of change of the service according to the change of the service element, therefore, it can be utilized as an index for determining a service element for service improvement. In addition, as an index for paired service elements, the relationship between the two service components can be measured by joint service importance. This paper introduces conceptual changes in the process of applying reliability importance to service analysis, and shows how to use the service importance for identifying the priority of service element for the final service and improving customer satisfaction through an example. By using the service importance and joint service importance in service tree analysis, it is possible to make efficient decision making in the process of determining the service elements for analyzing and improving the service.

        Chitin deacetylases (CDAs) are extracellular-modifying enzymes that deacetylate chitin to produce chitosan. Insect CDAs have been divided into five groups based on phylogenetic analysis. We previously reported the functional importance of group I CDAs, TcCDA1 and TcCDA2, from Tribolium castaneum in molting, morphology of cuticle as well as in movement of legs. However, ultrastructure in the cuticle after RNAi for these genes have not been investigated. In this study, we further analyzed precise localization of these proteins and ultrastructural changes/defects of the cuticles in TcCDA1- and TcCDA2-deficient insects. Loss of function of TcCDA1 and TcCDA2 causes disorganized horizontal laminae and vertical pore canals in both rigid (e.g. elytron and ventral body wall) and soft (e.g. hindwing and dorsal body wall) adult cuticles. These results indicate that TcCDA1 and TcCDA2 are critical for development and formation of the beetle cuticles

        The goal of this study is to analyze the importance of 11 basic attributes (fun, rules, goal, conflict, activity, decision making, spontaneity, artistry, system, network, fun, player). A questionnaire survey was conducted to compare the importance of each attribute to 25 industry experts. The importance of each attribute was calculated through a pair comparison process according to the AHP theory, and the validity of each attributions was verified by calculating the consistency ratio. As a result of the study, the highest score was shown with fun (34.2%), with system (10.4%), goal (10.3%), art (8.8%), voluntary (6.8%), player (6.6%), rule (6.2%), decision making (5.0%), conflict (4.3%), activity (3.9%) and networks (3.7%). Finally, to verify the importance of the game attributions, we conducted a questionnaire survey on the importance of two successful games and two failed games to 50 game players.

        Salined water electrolysis is an electrochemical reaction to produce chlorine gas and sodium hydroxide as major products from salined water. Perfluorinated sulfonic acid (PFSA) ionomers and their derivatives have been usually used as polymeric electrolytes with high sodium ion selectivity and barrier property to chlorine and hydrogen gases. In spite of their industrial importance, there is little information on the relationship of their chemical features and electrochemical performances. In this study, membrane requirements for salined water electrolysis are described and fundamental and electrochemical characteristics of PFSA and hydrocarbon ionomer materials are compared each other. The obtained results are expected to provide membrane material design factors for low energy-consuming salined water electrolysis.

        목 적: 광주광역시 안경사를 대상으로 계층화 의사결정방법(AHP)를 활용하여 안경원 경영향상 요인 중 요도 및 우선순위에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 방 법: 안경원 경영향상 요인 중 중요요인을 이원비교하기 위해 광주광역시 안경사를 대상으로 계층화 의사결정방법(AHP)을 이용하여 상대적인 중요도 및 우선순위를 조사하였다. 안경원 경영향상 요인 중요도 및 우선순위 분석은 일관성 확보를 위해 일관성 비율 0.1 미만일 때 분석하였다. 결 과: 계층화 의사결정방법 분석 결과 안경원 경영향상 요인 중 Level 2항목 중요도는 상품/서비스가 가장 중요한 요인으로 분석되었다. Level 3항목별 중요도는 Level 3(01)은 전문안경사, Level 3(02)는 학교 에서 가까움, Level 3(03)은 홍보(전단지, 신문광고), Level 3(04)는 안경사의 신뢰성, Level 3(05)는 가격 의 적정성이 중요하다고 분석되었다. Level 3항목 우선순위는 안경사의 신뢰성(0.2552)으로 분석되었다. 결 론: 안경원 경영향상 요인 중요도 및 우선순위는 특정 관리자의 경험에 의존하던 안경원 경영을 좀 더 합리적이고 과학적 방법인 계층화 의사결정방법(AHP)을 적용함으로써 합리성을 높일 수 있으며, 그 결과 안경사의 신뢰성(0.2552)이 가장 중요한 요인으로 나타났다.

        목 적: 제주지역 안경사 특성에 따른 직무 중요도와 교육 필요도를 분석하여 산업체에서 요구하는 직무 능력을 갖춘 안경사 양성을 위한 기초자료를 얻고자 하였다. 방 법: 2016년 4월 3일부터 2016년 5월 2일까지 제주지역 안경 관련 산업체에 근무하는 안경사 90명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 결 과: 응답자의 성별, 산업체 업종, 경력, 직위 및 사업장 주소지에 따라 직무 중요도와 교육 필요도에 대한 인식 차이가 나타났다. 결 론: 안경사의 특성에 따라 직무 중요도와 교육 필요도에 대한 인식이 다르게 나타났으며, 따라서 산업 체에서 요구하는 직무분야별 능력을 강화할 수 있는 특화된 교육 프로그램 개발이 필요하다.
