In this study, in order to verify the effects of damaged quantities to maintenance prioritization with performance evaluation system, crack conditions which were subdivided as per performance evaluation grade, critical maintenance part and priority part are considered as evaluation factors of prioritization. This result prove that maintenance prioritization has been changed by damaged quantities.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety of curved orthogonal anisoropic bridge girder oblique plates through structural analysis, load test, and steel non - destructive investigation. As a result of the analysis, it is considered that the stress generated in the oblique plates is within 10% of the allowable stress and that the stress generated in the oblique plates in the actual traffic load state is very small and structurally safe.

This research provides techniques for the implementation of an integrity evaluation system developed for wind turbine structures to jack-up barge. The strain values obtained from the upper tip of the footing are to be converted into values at a single point in order to represent the structural behavior. These obtained values are evaluated simultaneously through P-M curve, generated by FEM results. Evaluating loads with P-M curve, structural stability of barge could then be monitored.

This experimental study analyzed the reduction of the load capacity of the system support according to the uninstall bracing members by loading the ultimate load to the 3 - story system support assembly with the presence of bracing members as the key parameter. The load capacity of the 3-story specimen without bracing members is 38.4% of that of the 3-story specimen with bracing members. It is necessary to accurately reflect the installation plan of the bracing members and examine the structural safety of the system support assembly, not a single member, because there is a significant decrease in the load capacity of the system support assembly according to the uninstall of the bracing members.

If the MR fluid damper does not work, the magnetic powder (carbonyl iron powder) will sediment. To overcome this problem, we developed an EMR (Enhanced Magneto Rheological Fluid) fluid and evaluated control performance. For the dynamic load test using MR fluid and EMR fluid was conducted to evaluate control power and DR (Dynamic Range). In the damper performance test, the current was tested at intervals of 0.5A from 0.0A to 2.5A, and the control power of the EMR fluid was 84% compared to the control power of the MR fluid, The DR of the EMR Damper was 7.5. When the DR is 5.0 or higher, it is generally used as a semi-active control device. Therefore, the EMR fluid has proved its usability as a semi-active control device by showing 7.5 DR to 76% control performance of existing MR damper.

Construction safety is one of the significant problems on the world. Deep learning is an emerging term that acquires, processes and analyses image or video data to help computers have a high-level visual understanding of the world. In recent years, it has been introduced into the construction industry for improvements of occupational health and safety. This research contributes in solving this problem by using deep learning only RGB images that output detects the hazard zone on construction sites. The main goal of this study is to use different computer vision and deep learning to develop for different cases concerning fall related hazards.

This study analyzed the major change of revised Construction Technology Promotion Act in the field of safety management. In order to increase the execution of the system of construction safety management, Construction Technology Promotion Act was revised at the end of 2018. The key issues were founded in the system of safety management plan, regular safety inspection by external professional organization, and irregular safety inspection by clients. By revised law, the role and responsibility of construction clients was enforced and the clients were recognized as leading participants in construction safety management.

This paper proposes an automated crack evaluation technique for a high-rise bridge pier using a climbing robot. The proposed technique enables to automatically detect and quantify the bridge pier cracks even where cannot easily access by human for visual inspection. To achieve it, high quality images are obtained by scanning the vision cameras embedded on the climbing robot along the bridge pier surface. Then, a feature extraction-based image stitching algorithm is newly developed and applied for establishing the entire region of interest (ROI) images. The ROI images are then processed with a semantic segmentation algorithm for automated crack detection. Finally, the detected cracks are precisely quantified by a crack quantification algorithm. The proposed technique is validated using in-situ test data obtained from Jang-Duck bridge located at Gangneung city, South Korea. The test results reveal that the proposed technique successfully evaluate the bridge pier cracks with precision of 90.92 % and recall of 97.47 %.

The core is extracted to evaluate the concrete compressive strength of the actual structure. However, the core strength can vary in the core size due to two reasons - size effect in fracture mechanics and effect of coring damage. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to assess quantitatively the difference in strength due to these effects. The core damage tended to increase relatively as the core section was smaller. The strength difference due to the size effect in fracture mechanics did not show any significant difference according to the curing condition and was measured to be similar to the previous study.

In this study, prototype DAU with LoRa wireless communication module is designed and manufactured. Also, the customized software is developed for the automatic data transmission to end-user from ThingPlug server of SK telecom LoRa network. For verification of the developed wireless monitoring system, DAU was installed on bridge construction site. The reliability of data and operational stability was evaluated by comparison with data from conventional monitoring system.

The concrete track has been developed as an alternative to the ballast track due to its excellent maintenance. Recently, QHT(Quick Hardening Track) has been developed to rapidly replace ballast track to slab track. In bridge section, post-installation anchors should be installed at the center of QHT segment in order to unify the behavior of bridge and QHT. In this study, track-bridge interaction analysis was performed to check safety of anchor considering at early age of QHT.

This study is a basic research for the development of composite materials for 3D printing and evaluated the rheological properties according to the blending design of the constituent materials. As a result, as the W/B ratio becomes smaller, the plastic viscosity value and the yield value tend to increase. Next, the plasticity and flow characteristics were differently derived depending on the binders used, and all the binders were considered to have more influence on the yield value than the plastic viscosity value.

This research and development analysis provides numerical analysis techniques that can be used conveniently to determining the safety of the current state and to predict the stability in the future. It also seeks to present algorithms of back analysis to develop unified management system for control, prediction, coordination, and information modeling that can reasonably handle appropriate responses to structural behavior at project sites and design changes.

This research presents effectiveness of fiber-reinforced polymer column jacketing system for a non-ductile reinforced concrete building frame constructed before the 1970s. To investigate the retrofit effects, a series of full-scale dynamic tests for the retrofitted test frame was conducted, and the dynamic responses were compared to those of the non-retrofitted test frame. The effectiveness of the retrofit system was investigated in terms of response reductions, damage mechanisms and drift concentration factors.

This paper is focused on flexural bahavior of cement composites reinforced with carbon fibers as a part of research for improving a seismic performance of structures using carbon fiber reinforced concrete(CRFC). Flexural behavior test was conducted on respective specimens reinforced with different fiber length(6mm, 12mm) and contents(0%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 2.0%, 3.0%). The result of the test showed that the flexural performance of carbon fiber reinforced cement composites are directly proportional to the fiber contents except for the specimen reinforced with 3% carbon fiber.

This paper describes the effect of tensile strength and aspect ratio of fiber on compressive and flexural toughness index of high- and normal-strength steel fiber-reinforced concrete(SFRC). For this purpose, eight types of SFRC mixtures were made and tested. Test results indicate that the compressive and flexural toughness index of SFRC increased with increasing in tensile strength and aspect ratio of steel fiber.

When applying guss asphalt to steel deck bridges, excessive temperature increases caused by pavement may affect the durability and stability of the structure and should be considered in advance. However, studies of heat source data applicable to numerical analysis are insufficient. In this paper, we propose an equation of pavement heat source that can predict the stability of thermal effect by using temperature experiment data.

This paper is to clarify the boundary condition of the joint connection in the multi-span vinyl greenhouse. It is carried out that experiments for the rotational stiffness of the joint connectors used in both the field and the guidelines of the greenhouse constructions.

Voided Slab is a very efficient system that can reduce weight and its use has increased. In this paper, Shear performance of voided slab 3 type(rc slab, ball slab, ball slab with water) with improved damping performance was evaluated. As a result of the test, the shear performance was not much different from the existing RC slab.

Recently, since stainless steels have important properties such as superior durability, fire resistance and corrosion resistance, they are widely used as non-structural element as well as structural element in building construction. In this study, experimental studies have been performed to investigate the structural behaviors such as ultimate strength and fracture mode of double shear two-bolted connection and four-bolted connection with austenitic stainless steel(STS304) and varied end distance. In case of two-bolted connection, all of specimens showed block shear fracture. And four-bolted connection failed by block shear fracture or net section fracture at test end.
