        In the both loading test results and analytical results of specimens with tapered threaded splices, the good agreement of load-carrying capacity are shown. Therefore the proposed model for tapered threaded splices can be applied to the analysis of structure with tapered threaded splices.

        In this study, a structural modeling and an analysis considering structural stability were investigated to develop an icosahedron-based hemispherical modular dome. To design the dome, a program that can perform icosahedron shape modeling, modularization of joint connection members. Furthermore, based on the adopted numerical model, the buckling mode, unstable behavior characteristics according to load vector, and the critical buckling load of the modular dome under uniformly distributed load and concentrated load were analyzed, and the resistance capacities according to different load vectors were compared.

        In order to evaluate the seismic safety of weir structure subjected to seismic ground motions, simple linear elastic 2D plane strain Finite Model (FE) was developed in ABAQUS platform. Also, the 1994 Northridge earthquake as a ground motion uncertainty was selected. The numerical results showed that the compressive stress was significantly increased in comparison to the results from the design spectrum analysis but the horizontal displacement was reduced about 28%.

        This study presents the seismic safety evaluation of weir structures subjected to earthquakes. In order to conduct the numerical analysis using KBC 2009 design spectrum, simple linear elastic 2D plane strain Finite Element (FE) model was modeled in ABAQUS. the results obtained from numerical analysis noted that the weir structure was more sensitive to tensile stress than compressive stress.

        To examine the in-place strength development of concrete of nuclear containment structures with the wall thickness of 1200 mm, mock-up wall specimens were prepared. For maturity evaluation, the temperature rise in the wall specimens owing to hydration heat of cementitious materials was also measured. The in-place strength of concrete was measured using core specimens collected at different locations of mock-up walls. Test results showed that in-place compressive strength development was 1.5 times higher than the strength measured from the standard cylinders. This indicates the maturity effect is needed to be considered in predicting the compressive strength development of concrete in mass structures.

        A RSM-based reliability analysis approach is applied to evaluate the safety of floating structures considering uncertainties associated with various design variables. Uncertainties in both load and resistance related variables are explicitly considered in the analysis. It is expected to be practically applied in the reliability-based design of real structures including floating structures.

        Existing nondestructive test methods used to measure reinforcement corrosion is based on qualitative measurement of corrosion, and it has many difficulties of use because many equipment and measurement stages are required for application at actual sites. Accordingly, this study was conducted to estimate reinforcement corrosion of concrete structures using infrared thermography method as a method of measuring reinforcement corrosion in concrete. As for the specimen was to measure reinforcement corrosion, D13 reinforcement with size of 200×150×180mm was buried at length of 250mm for covering depth of 20mm and 40mm. Accelerated reinforcement corrosion test was carried out after placement of concrete. As a result of measuring reinforcement corrosion using infrared thermography method, temperature difference of 1~3°C was shown depending on the corrosion stage. There was a correlation in which temperature decreased according to chloride content. Infrared thermography method was confirmed as a useful method for measurement of reinforcement corrosion inside concrete.

This study aims to evaluate the limitation of multi-layered waterproofing membrane system applied to the roofing system of large scale spatial structure and examine thoroughly whether such systems are suitable for steel plate concrete or not.

        Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) is a prominent mean of controlling structural vibration. Typically the TMDs are installed at the top of the structure. In this study, the effectiveness of the multiple tuned mass dampers (MTMD) distributed along with the height of structure is investigated for seismic loading. A ten storey building with lateral degree of freedom is modeled with distributed tuned mass dampers in the platform of MatLab R2010a. Though the first mode of a MDOF system dominates in response of the structure, it is also observed that the other mode can also have a significant role in the response reduction. Suitable location for the installation of the TMDs and there tuning frequencies are selected based on the mode shape and frequencies of the uncontrolled structure respectively. It is observed that distributed TMD is more effective than Single TMD and Multiple TMD installed at top of the structure in response reduction.

        The relationship between urban spatial structures and GHG-AP integrated emissions was investigated by statistically analyzing those from 25 administrative districts of Seoul. Urban spatial structures, of which data were obtained from Seoul statistics yearbook, were classified into five categories of city development, residence, environment, traffic and economy. They were further classified into 10 components of local area, population, number of households, residential area, forest area, park area, registered vehicles, road area, number of businesses and total local taxes. GHG-AP integrated emissions were estimated based on IPCC(intergovernmental panel on climate change) 2006 guidelines, guideline for government greenhouse inventories, EPA AP-42(compilation of air pollutant emission factors) and preliminary studies. The result of statistical analysis indicated that GHG-AP integrated emissions were significantly correlated with urban spatial structures. The correlation analysis results showed that registered vehicles for GHG (r=0.803, p<0.01), forest area for AP (r=0.996, p<0.01), and park area for AP (r=0.889, p<0.01) were highly significant. From the factor analysis, three groups such as city and traffic categories, economy category and environment category were identified to be the governing factors controlling GHG-AP emissions. The multiple regression analysis also represented that the most influencing factors on GHG-AP emissions were categories of traffic and environment. 25 administrative districts of Seoul were clustered into six groups, of which each has similar characteristics of urban spatial structures and GHG-AP integrated emissions.

        This study classifies the types of spatio-functional differentiation in Korean island areas and analyses typical characters and suggests the development directions by each type. Eup/Myeon-level island areas are classified as six types by the factor analysis and the cluster analysis. First type is the traditional rural center. This type puts emphasis on maintaining phase as the central space and has to maximize development potential of the whole of settlement zone. Second type is the specialized region in manufacturing industry and the qualitative mutual growth of regional industries is able to be suggested. Third type is the specialized region in the neighborhood service provision. This type needs to devise the plan for utilizing potential customers actively and developing into the region specialized in tourism industry. Fourth type is the specialized region in tourism-support service functions. This type has to promote differentiated policies for maintaining amenity infra or value of countryside capital and preservation and utilization of resources by regional features. Fifth type is the fishing industry-dominated region. This type has to promote sustainable fishery development through the policy reflecting regional features and condition. Finally, sixth type is the sluggish region dominated with the traditional agriculture and fishery. This type is needed to aim at developing into the new food production base having the advantage of clean environment by strengthening support in specialized agro-fishery products. The existing researches on spatio-functional differentiation were mostly discussed with respect to land development, but this study highlights the difference in deal with the island areas distinguished from the condition of industry.

        At present, the actual condition is that Korean modular structures are limited to a low rise detached house and military barracks. And there is no standardized structural design method of stacked modular structure. Accordingly, in general, they don't review impact force in the stage of stacking and installing a module, the effect which wind load has on a structure in the stage of lifting, and inertial force occurring in the stage of lifting or transporting a module in the process of constructing a structure. Therefore, this study investigated the construction method of modular system to be studied in stages, and decided on the position to which load was applied and boundary condition in structural analysis at each construction stage. Besides, inertial force according to each speed was calculated in the lifting and wheeled transport of module. And we calculated impact load according to lifting speed in module stacking and installation work and wind load due to instantaneous wind speed in the installation work by lifting. On the basis of the suggested method, in the modular system to be studied, it carried out review of structure by changing determining conditions of load being applied by construction stage, such as in the stage of lifting, in the stage of transport, and in the stage of installation, and drew construction conditions securing stability structurally.

        This paper aims at developing an environmentally friendly modular dome structure system with highly filled extrusion wood-plastic composite (WPC) member, and manufacturing a real-size specimen by modularizing members and nodes. The member used in the model is the WPC member with 70% wooden fiber contests, which is higher then previous WPC one. Its members and nodes are modularized by analyzing geometric characteristics of icosahedral-based geodetic dome. Applicapability of the 6ea prototype nodes and 3ea prototype members to the modular dome is examined with the results of the modulaization and the making process for the real-size specimen. Besides, from the analysis results, the lowest buckling mode is expected to be a nodal buckling on a node near the boundary.

        현무암과 포놀라이트 조성을 가진 마그마는 분화 양상과 거시적 물성에서 많은 차이를 보이나 이에 대한 원자구조 단위의 근본적인 원인은 아직 명확히 밝혀지지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 일차원과 고해상도 이차원 고상 핵자기공명 분광분석(Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, NMR)을 이용하여 현무암질 마그마의 모델인 투휘석과 아노르다이트 공융점 조성을 가진 비정질 규산염과 포놀라이트 조성의 비 정질 규산염의 Al 주변 원자 구조를 관찰하였다. 27Al MAS NMR 실험 결과 두 조성 모두 [4]Al 피크 가 지배적인 것을 보여주며 현무암 조성의 비정질 규산염의 피크 반치폭이 포놀라이트 조성보다 약 2 배 더 넓은 것으로 관찰된다. 이것은 현무암질 조성에서의 Al 주변의 위상 무질서도가 포놀라이트 조 성보다 높다는 것을 의미한다. 27Al 3QMAS NMR 실험 결과 [4]Al과 [5]Al이 구별되어 관찰되며 현무암 조성의 비정질 규산염에서 포놀라이트 조성에는 관찰되지 않는 [5]Al이 약 3.3% 관찰된다. 이는 현무 암질 마그마가 포놀라이트 마그마에 비해 Al 주변의 배열 무질서도가 더 큰 것을 의미한다. 사중극자 상호관계를 설명하는 계수 또한 현무암 조성의 비정질 규산염이 포놀라이트 조성의 비정질 규산염에 비해 큰 값을 나타내며 이것 또한 [4]Al 주변의 위상 무질서도가 더 큰 것을 확증해준다. 본 논문에서 규명한 현무암과 포놀라이트 조성의 비정질 규산염의 원자 구조 차이는 점성도와 같은 조성에 따른 마그마의 물성 차이에 대한 미시적 기원을 제시한다.

        This study intended to analyze an influence of the structure elements on the optimal location for one-outrigger system in tall building by using MIDAS-Gen. In this investigation, the analysis parameters were the outrigger position and the stiffness of main structure elements such as shear walls, outrigger systems, exterior columns connected in outrigger system and frames not to be connected in outrigger system. For the objective of finding out the optimal location for one-outrigger system in high-rise building, we studied the lateral displacement in top level of 80 stories building. The results of this study indicated that the outrigger location and the stiffness of main structure elements such as shear walls, outrigger systems, exterior columns connected in outrigger system and frames not to be connected in outrigger system had an influence on the optimal location of one-outrigger system. In addition, it is showed that the research results can be very useful in obtaining the structure design data for looking for the optimal location of one-outrigger system in high-rise building.
