해충의 발생시기와 발생량에 대한 정확한 예찰정보는 해충의 효율적인 종합적 방제를 위하여 필수적으로 요구된다. 해충의 효율적인 발생 예찰조사를 위해 디지털 영상처리 알고리즘을 이용하여 벼농경지에서 주요 해충인 멸구류를 자동적으로 인식하고 밀도를 측정하도록 하였다. 야외경작지에서 촬영한 입력영상에 대해 구성인자분해과정, 탑헷(top-hat)변환, 역치적용, 최소/최대 필터링 등의 방법을 적용하여 벼 잎에 붙어 있는 멸구 개체를 인식하고 개체수를 헤아렸다. 평균인식율은 95.8%를 보였다. 또한 인지된 각 멸구류 개체 크기를 측정하여 멸구류의 연령분포 추정을 가능하게 하였다

사이드 스캔 소-나 시스템을 이용하여 태안반도 부근 신두리 해역에서 해저면 음향영상 자료를 획득하였다. 후방산란 음향강도와 해저퇴적물의 물성에 대한 상호관계를 연구하였다. 그리고 위의 두 자료 모두 해저수심과 각각 비교해석 하였다. 해저퇴적물의 물성 대부분은 음향강도와 좋은 상관관계를 보이고 있지만, 퇴적물의 분포양상은 암반노출지역을 제외하고는 해저면 음향영상과 정확하게 일치하지는 않았다. 해저수심은 해저면 음향영상의 분포형태에 영향을 미치고 있었을 뿐만 아니라, 해저퇴적물의 물성 분포에서도 선형적인 관계를 보이고 있었다.

Automated manufacturing systems are applied to shop floors as tools for increase of productivity and quality and the decrease of manufacturing lead times and industry accidents. One of the most important issue of the present day is the application of Internet. The development of Internet technologies makes manufacturing enterprises break spacial barriers between users and shop floors, and collect various field data in remote sites. In this research, an Internet-based remote control system for a small-sized automated storage and retrieval system is developed for the purpose of real-time monitoring and control of automatic production equipment. The developed system has a client-server architecture and sends real-time images of the automated storage and retrieval system to clients by an CCD camera connected to a server.

Inverse synthetic aperture radar(ISAR)를 이용하여 콘크리트의 비파괴 검사시 필요한 적정 주파수 대역폭을 결정하기 위해 주파수 합성을 실시하였다. 콘크리트 시편의 내부를 영상화하기 위한 레이더 신호처리 기법을 이용하여 레이더 주파수 2~3.4 GHz, 3.4~5.8 GHz 대역에서 무근 콘크리트 시편과 내부 공동 또는 철근이 있는 콘크리트 시편을 대상으로 실험하였다. 분해능을 높이기 위해 두 측정 주파수 대역을 합성한 2~5.8 GHz대역에서 신호처리를 하여 영상화 결과를 향상시켰다. 주파수 대역폭 변화에 따른 콘크리트 시편 비파괴 검사 결과의 영향을 분석하였다.

We obtained three-color composite. images of 78 celestial objects most of which are listed in Messier catalogue. In order to make color images, 118 raw image sets were taken with B, V, R, I and H-alpha filters. We used the 2k CCD camera attached to the 1.8 m telescope of Bohyunsan Optical Astronomy Observatory.
