The purpose of this study was to identify the perceptional dimensions and patterns of Korean traditional food and to find the determinants of the patterns. Data were collected from 305 Korean housewives living in Mongol, and were factor and cluster analyzed. The results revealed two different dimensions and patterns i.e., high involved vs. low involved groups. Descriptive statistics showed that perceptional pattern types are likely to vary depending on socio-demographic and cultural background of Korean traditional food. Similarities and differences in perceptional patterns between high and low involved groups of Korean Mongolian are discussed, and future implications for globalization of Korean traditional food culture are provided.

본 연구의 목적은 과학영재학교 재학생을 대상으로 과학영재학교의 교수활동에 관한 학생의 인식을 밝히고 과학과 실험수업의 실제 분석하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 과학과 교육과정 편제 및 운영, 교수·학습방법 평가 방법에 관한 설문 결과와 과학과 실험수업에서의 언어적 상호작용 유형을 분석하였다. 과학영재학교 교육과정 편제 및 운영에 대한 학생들의 인식을 조사한 결과, 심화선택과목의 학점 비중을 더 높여야 한다는 의견과 보통교과의 학점을 줄이고 수학 및 과학 교과의 학점을 늘려야 한다는 의견이 상대적으로 높게 나타났다. 또한 과학영재학교 과학과 수업시사간에 주로 사용되는 수업방법으로는 강의나 설명, 조별수업, 토론이 대다수를 차지하였고 학생들이 선호하는 수업방법으로는 강의나 설명, 토론 외에도 탐구학습, 개인연구, 문제해결학습 등 다양하게 나타났다. 그리고 학생들이 선호하는 평가방법은 지필 평가와 보고서평가, 실험 평가의 순으로 나타났다. 과학영재학교 과학실험 수업에서 상호작용 유형을 분석한 결과, 교사 질문의 수준에 따라 교사-학생 상호작용 유형이 다르게 나타났고, 실험과정 중에는 학생-학생 상호작용에 의해 탐구활동이 활성화되었다.

This study seeks to classify the skin types and determined the relation between the dietary habit and preference of foods targeting college women in Daegu and Gyeong-Buk Province. Skin types of the subjects were 31% of combination skin, 25% of dry skin and 22% of normal, oily skin. College women mostly had two meals a day, and those who had less frequent meals developed more combination skin. Many of them did not exercise, and women with normal skin who did not exercise showed the lowest at 13.9%, supporting the significance (p<.05). It was exposed that don't have breakfast and have irregular meal and don't have easy meal in all skin types. Instant foods was exposed that ingested the most in dry skin and the least in oily skin, supporting the significance(p<.05) and fruit or vegetable ingested much in dry skin. It was exposed that considered atmosphere at meal and meal helps in health in all skin types, normal skin type considered balanced diets the most and supporting the significance(p<.01) Food preference in all skin types showed the strongest in drinks and showed strong in greenish yellow vegetables, fruits, confectioneries, drinks, milk and dairy goods. On the other hand, it showed low in nuts and salted fishes. In sum, regular and balanced meals give the skin a healthy status, and intake of protein, vitamins and minerals has impact on the skin status. Thus, sufficient quality nutrition is crucial in staying a healthy skin.

Nam, Mi-Hye. 2004. The Usage Types and Communicational Properties of Chinese Characters in Korean Advertisements. The Sociolinguistic Journal of Korea, 12(2). The purpose of this study is to examine the usage pattern and communicational attributes of Chinese characters in Korean advertisements. Advertisements in printed newspapers and journals were sources of data. The study produces five significant findings. First, one function of Chinese characters in printed advertisements is to show ideograms, to elevate the presentation, and to convey the professional nature of the contents. Second, the concise nature of Chinese idioms (composed of only four characters) used in printed advertisements provides the benefit of smaller paper space requirements. Third, Chinese characters in printed advertisements are used intentionally to indicate multiple meanings through homonyms. Fourth, Chinese characters in printed advertisements force readers to deduce the meanings of Chinese characters through cognitive efforts, which could be linked to increased recall or retention in the readers. Fifth, contrary to the purpose of general communication, i.e., clear messages, advertisements using Chinese characters are able to convey vague messages that can lead the readers not only to interpret them in various ways but also to have more curiosity on the advertised items.

Open-rectangular plan Hanok is one of the major types that compose the urban tissues of Bukchon, a typical traditional residential area in Seoul. Through the comparison of the cadastral map of 1912 and the aerial photograph of 1962, the paper has given the outline of the and the distribution of Open-rectangular plan Hanok at Bukchon. And the paper defines the characteristics of Open-rectangular plan Hanok at Bukchon as followings. First, Open-rectangular plan Hanok at Bukchon is the mutated type of Open-rectangular plan Hanok in Kyong-gi Province. Second, the composition and characteristics of Bakat-chae and outer-courtyard have been changed through the adaptation itself to the compact lots of urban neighborhood. Third, the composition and characteristics of An-chae has not been changed except the inner corner bay, that gives the lights and view to An-bang through the window. And the comparison and observation of four examples, the paper defines the identities of Open-rectangular plan Hanok at Bukchon. The partial transformation comes from the conflicts and adjustments with the structure of alley and the topographical condition of lots.

This article traced modern trends of penological ideas in terms of the origin and development for each ideas. It is followed by classifying them as three distinct types: correctional treatment, legal treatment and community-based treatment for criminals, and discussing the similarities and differences between them. Finally, it concluded with the discussion of prospective global cooperation among correctional authorities.

산불지역 토양의 침식양상을 구분하기위하여 강원도 강릉시 사천면 일대의 산불지역 토양을 조사하였다. 토양은 유기물의 분포양상 및 토양층의 두께, 토양층 발달의 완전성(성숙도)를 근거로 5개 유형으로 구분하였다. 침식 현상은 토양의 유형에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 나뭇잎, 낙엽층, 뿌리, 재 그 밖의 유기물의 피복이 토양의 색과 영상 이미지 반사에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요인이었다. 침식양상의 차이를 보이는 5개 유형의 토양의 Landsat ETM 영상은 토양 유형별로 상이한 반사특성을 보였다. 산불지역 토양의 정규식생지수(NDVI)와 무감독 분류는 토양유형에 따른 Landsat ETM 영상 차이를 잘 반영하기 못하였으나, 최대우도법에 의한 감독분류 기법의 적용시 산불지역에서 침식형태에 따른 토양유형 구분이 가능하였다. 본 연구는 산불지역에서 침식현상을 파악하고 예측하는데 Landsat ETM 영상의 활용이 매우 효과적임을 보여주었다.

Using the cluster analysis based on the information source and object of technological innovation, technological innovation types of domestic manufacturing firms are categorized into market-oriented external dependent sector, low-profile self-development sector, capital-intensive self-development sector, low-profile technology-activated sector and cost-oriented self-development sector. To analyze the corporation characteristics that determine the three technological innovation types of product innovation, product improvement and process innovation, the bayesian multinomial logit model is employed. This study shows that the types of technological innovation are determined by the firm and the sector characteristics. The study also finds that there are some firm specific characteristics that affect the type of technological innovation, while some other firm characteristics have an effect depending on the sector they are in.
