        The utilization of carbonaceous reinforcement-based polymer matrix composites in structural applications has become a hot topic in composite research. Although conventional carbon fiber-reinforced polymer composites (CFRPs) have revolutionized the composite industry by offering unparalleled features, they are often plagued with a weak interface and lack of toughness. However, the promising aspects of carbon fiber-based fiber hybrid composites and hierarchical composites can compensate for these setbacks. This review provides a meticulous landscape and recent progress of polymer matrixbased different carbonaceous (carbon fiber, carbon nanotube, graphene, and nanodiamond) fillers reinforced composites’ mechanical properties. First, the mechanical performance of neat CFRP was exhaustively analyzed, attributing parameters were listed down, and CFRPs’ mechanical performance barriers were clearly outlined. Here, short carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite was distinguished as a prospective material. Second, the strategic advantages of fiber hybrid composites over conventional CFRP were elucidated. Third, the mechanical performance of hierarchical composites based on carbon nanotube (1D), graphene (2D) and nanodiamond (0D) was expounded and evaluated against neat CFRP. Fourth, the review comprehensively discussed different fabrication methods, categorized them according to performance and suggested potential future directions. From here, the review sorted out three-dimensional printing (3DP) as the most futuristic fabrication method and thoroughly delivered its pros and cons in the context of the aforementioned carbonaceous materials. To conclude, the structural applications, current challenges and future prospects pertinent to these carbonaceous fillers reinforced composite materials were elaborated.

        잭업드릴링 리그는 해양 석유와 가스 탐사 산업에서 널리 사용되는 모바일 해양 플랫폼이다. 그것은 시추 및 생산을 위한 캔틸 레버 시추 장치가 있는 독립적인 3개의 다리가 있는 자체 승강식 장치이다. 전형적인 잭업리그는 삼각형 선체, 타워형 데릭, 캔틸레버, 잭 케이스, 거주구와 다리로 구성되며 여기에는 스퍼드캔 구조, 개방형 트러스, X-교차 구조로 구성된다. 일반적으로 잭업리그는 수심 130m~170m에서만 운용이 되고 있다. 최근 들어 개발 유정이 심해로 이동하면서, 깊은 수심과 가혹한 환경조건을 만족해야 한다. 리그의 작업 상태에서 모든 정적, 동적 하중은 레그(Leg)를 통해서 지탱되는 특징이 있다. 이러한 리그의 중요한 이슈는 순간적으로 큰 충격에너 지를 발생시키는 충돌에 대한 레그의 안전성이다. 본 연구에서는 LS-Dyna 프로그램을 이용하여 DNV 선급에서 규정하고 있는 충돌에너지 35MJ 요구사항에 대한 수치해석 및 검증을 수행하였다. 충돌 선박은 배수량 7,500톤 작업 지원선을 사용하였고, 5가지 충돌조건을 선정하 였다. 해석결과로부터 모든 충돌조건은 선급 기준을 만족하지 못한다. 코드 방향 충돌조건은 충돌에너지 15MJ, 브레이스 충돌조건은 6MJ 이 합리적이다. 따라서 충돌시나리오에 따른 합리적인 충돌에너지 기준의 제정이 필요로 하다.

        Structural characteristics have been analyzed for gear system in a commercial iron bending machine which is widely used at many building construction sites. This complicated gear system in the bending machine is fundamental power transfer unit from electrical motors, and it is composed of various configuration structure including various spur and helical gear assembly. Main structural characteristics of the gear system such as stress and deformation distributions are predicted with numerical simulation of FEM method for various operating conditions of torque and rotation speed. Results show that there is large deformation in lower region of driving gear, and high stress near those contact area which is greatly affected by motor torque. These results can be applied for the design improvement of efficient gear system in the iron bar bending machine.

        This paper is about structural, and vibration analysis for the development of Index chucks Structural and vibration analyses were performed using the ANSYS Mechanical program to evaluate the Index chuck's structural stability and vibration characteristics. As a analysis result, when the maximum load of 500N was applied to the Index chuck, the safety factors were 2.06, 2.09, and 2.60, respectively, when the thickness was 5mm, and the outer diameters were 70mm, 90mm, and 120mm, respectively. Structurally safe results were obtained. In addition, under load conditions of 300 N or less, structural safety was confirmed if the thickness is 3mm or more.

        Purpose: This study aimed to construct and test a hypothetical model to explain predictive factors affecting nursing students' satisfaction and self-confidence in simulation-based education based on the National League for Nursing Jeffries Simulation Theory. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 305 fourth-year nursing students with experience in simulation-based education enrolled at universities in Gangwon-do, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Gyeonggi-do. Data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 25.0. Results: The hypothetical model showed good fit with the empirical data: χ2/df 2.17, RMSEA=.01, RMR=.01, GFI=.95, AGFI=.91, NFI=.94, TLI=.95, CFI=.97, and PNFI=.68. Simulation design characteristics, teaching efficiency, and flow were found to affect satisfaction and self-confidence directly. A bootstrap test indicated that teaching efficiency and flow mediated the relationship between simulation design characteristics and satisfaction and self-confidence. Conclusion: Simulation educators should apply best practice that enhance teaching efficiency and flow through well-organized simulation designs, nursing students can attain satisfaction and self-confidence through simulation-based education.

        The collapse of reinforced concrete (RC) frame buildings is mainly caused by the failure of columns. To prevent brittle failure of RC column, numerous studies have been conducted on the seismic performance of strengthened RC columns. Concrete jacketing method, which is one of the retrofitting method of RC members, can enhance strength and stiffness of original RC column with enlarged section and provide uniformly distributed lateral load capacity throughout the structure. The experimental studies have been conducted by many researchers to analyze seismic performance of seismic strengthened RC column. However, structures which have plan and vertical irregularities shows torsional behavior, and therefore it causes large deformation on RC column when subjected to seismic load. Thus, test results from concentric cyclic loading can be overestimated comparing to eccentric cyclic test results, In this paper, two kinds of eccentric loading pattern was suggested to analyze structural performance of RC columns, which are strengthened by concrete jacketing method with new details in jacketed section. Based on the results, it is concluded that specimens strengthened with new concrete jacketing method increased 830% of maximum load, 150% of maximum displacement and changed the failure modes of non-strengthened RC columns.

        철근 콘크리트 하수관거는 경제적 장점과 내구성으로 인해 많이 사용되고 있다. 오랜 공용시간 이후 하수관거는 하 수의 산화물과 공용하중에 의해 열화가 진행된다. 본 논문은 초고강도 콘크리트로 갱생한 열화된 콘크리트 하수관거의 구조적 성능에 대해 연구하였다. 실험변수는 초고강도 콘크리트 관거 상부슬래브와 벽체의 두께의 조합으로 구성하였다. 네가지 종류의 초고강도 콘크리트 관거가 극한하중을 받을 때까지 내하력을 파악하기 위해 실험을 진행하였다. 보통 강도 콘크리트에 비해 상 대적으로 작은 두께의 초고강도 콘크리트 관거는 열화된 내부 부분을 치핑하고 갱생함으로써 단면의 손실을 최소화할 수 있다. 실험결과에 의하면 열화된 콘크리트 관거를 갱생하는데 적용된 새로운 얇은 두께의 초고강도 콘크리트 구조물이 재하하중을 만 족하고 실제 공학적 적용에 용이성을 있음을 나타내고 있다.

        In the case of columns in buildings with soft story, the concentration of stress due to the difference in stiffness can damage the columns. The irregularity of buildings including soft story requires retrofit because combined load of compression, bending, shear, and torsion acts on the structure. Concrete jacketing is advantageous in securing the strength and stiffness of existing members. However, the brittleness of concrete make it difficult to secure ductility to resist the large deformation, and the complicated construction process for integrity between the existing member and extended section reduces the constructability. In this study, two types of Steel Grid Reinforcement (SGR), which are Steel Wire Mesh (SWM) for integrity and Steel Fiber Non-Shrinkage Mortar (SFNM) for crack resistance are proposed. One reinforced concrete (RC) column with non-seismic details and two columns retrofitted with each different types of proposed method were manufactured. Seismic performance was analyzed for cyclic loading test in which a combined load of compression, bending, shear, and torsion was applied. As a result of the experiment, specimens retrofitted with proposed concrete jacketing method showed 862% of maximum load, 188% of maximum displacement and 1,324% of stiffness compared to non-retrofitted specimen.

        친환경 에너지원 개발에 관한 관심이 증가하면서, 해상풍력발전기 시장은 매년 높은 증가율을 보이면서 성장하고 있다. 이와 맞물려 대용량 해상풍력발전기를 설치할 수 있는 설치선의 수요 또한 급증하고 있다. 풍력발전기 설치 선박(Wind Turbine Installation Vessel)은 설치 및 해체를 위하여 레그(Leg)와 스퍼드캔(Spudcan)을 해저면에 관입시켜서 고정하며, 이때 스퍼드캔 구조 강도 안전성에 대 한 검토는 전체 시스템과 연관된 중요한 문제이다. 본 연구에서는 현재 선급에서 제시하고 있는 절차서를 분석하고, 실제 발생할 수 있는 하중 시나리오를 반영한 새로운 절차서를 제안하였으며, 유한요소해석을 통한 검증을 하였다. 기존 방식은 해저면의 기울기와 레그에 발 생하는 휨모멘트 그리고 형상에 따른 영향을 검토하지 않기 때문에, 허용응력보다 작은 최대 응력 값을 보이지만, 신규 절차에 따른 결과 는 대부분 구조보강이 발생하였다. 이러한 현상은 해상풍력발전기의 크기가 커지면 커질수록 차이가 크게 나타나며, 실제 관입(Pre-load) 조건을 고려하면 상당수의 부재에서 구조적 문제가 발생할 가능성이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 더욱 실제적인 작업조건을 고려한 절차 서를 제안하였고, 적용 시 문제점들에 대해서 구조해석을 통한 검증을 수행하였다.

        Damages by jellyfish are occurring frequently around the world. Among them, accidents caused by jellyfish stings are serious enough to cause death. So we designed a jellyfish blocking net and analyzed its stability to prevent sting caused by jellyfish entering the beach. To this end, the dynamic behavior of the jellyfish blocking net according to the current speed (0.25-1.0 m/s) and the net type (50, 100 and 150 mm) on the upper part of the blocking net was modeled using the mass spring model. As a result of simulations for the model, the horizontal tension (horizontal component of the mooring tension) of the mooring line increased with the decrease in the mesh size on the upper part of the blocking net at all current speeds, but exceeded the holding force at high tides faster than 0.5 m/s and exceeded the holding force at all current speeds at low tide. Therefore, the jellyfish blocking nets showed poor stability overall. The depth of the float line had a little difference according to the upper mesh size and increased lineary proportional to the current speed. However, the float line sank too much to block the incoming jellyfish. These analysis results helped us find ways to improve the stability of the jellyfish blocking net, such as adjusting the length of the mooring line and improving the holding power. Therefore, it is expected that this technology will be applied us various underwater structures to discover the weaknesses of the structures and contribute to increasing the stability in the future.
