        A zeolite material (ZCH) was synthesized from coal fly ash in an HD thermal power plant using a fusion/hydrothermal method. ZCH with high crystallinity could be synthesized at the NaOH/CFA ratio of 0.9. Ion-exchanged ZCH adsorbents for ammonia removal were prepared by ion-exchanging various cation (Cu2+, Co2+, Fe3+, and Mn2+) on the ZCH. They were used to evaluate the ammonia adsorption breakthrough curves and adsorption capacities. The ammonia adsorption capacities of the ZCH and ion-exchanged ZCHs were high in the order of Mn-ZCH > Cu-ZCH ≅ Co-ZCH > Fe-ZCH > ZCH according to NH3-TPD measurements. Mn-ZCH ion-exchanged with Mn has more Brønsted acid sites than other adsorbents. The ion-exchanged Cu2+, Co2+, Fe3+, or Mn2+ ions uniformly distributed on the surface or in the pores of the ZCH, and the number of acidic sites increased on the alumina sites to form the crystal structure of zeolite material. Therefore, when the ion-exchanged ZCH was used, the adsorption capacity for ammonia gas increased.

        Through psychological evaluation, this study attempted to verify the effect of quality of life improvements from gardening activities in apartment landscaping spaces. The study was conducted on 32 mothers raising children. Psychological valuation was conducted using world Health Organization Quality of Life questionnaire(WHOQOL-Bref), the Satisfaction with Life Scale(SWLS), the Life Satisfaction Experience Scale(LSES), and the Symptom Checklist-90-Revised(SCL-90-R). The psychological analysis results showed that, engaging in gardening activities for two weeks had, a positive effect on mothers’ environmental of quality of life evaluation. The LSES indicates that satisfaction with oneself significantly increased after starting the gardening activities. The activity resulted in a positive change in attitude toward life. The SCL-90-R results showed changes in the mother’s psychological state. There was a significant amelioration of obesessive-compulsive behaviors, hostility, and phobic anxiety. In conclusion, this study was found that, for mothers in apartments, outdoor gardening activities can significantly affect their quality of life. Moreover, it can help prevent mental health deterioration, Further study should be conducted on the beneficial effects of gardening on the variety of age groups and activities.

        This study was conducted to investigate the response of the human body to stress induced by wall recording of subway stations in the city center. The experiment was conducted as a simulation exercise, and six images were selected and produced based on Subway Line 2, a representative underground space in Seoul. The study participants included 24 male and female college students. A three-minute experiment was conducted, during which the participants were shown the control image and green wall image once each. To measure psychological status, the following measurement indicators were used: Semantic Differential, Positive Affect and Negative Affect Schedule and State-Trait Anxiety Inventory. Physiological changes were investigated by tracking participants’ heart rate and blood pressure. Results showed that parasympathetic and sympathetic nerves were activated in the presence of the green wall in the subway station. The psychological evaluation analysis revealed that negative affect toward underground space decreased, while positive affect increased. This study found that the green wall in subway stations has a stable effect on the human body, both psychologically and physiologically. In the future, green walls in underground spaces can be used to reduce psychological stress and increase physiological relaxation.

        학교현장실습의 가치와 중요성에도 불구하고, 몇십 년째 계속 똑같은 프로그램으로 운영되는 등 여러 문제점들이 지속적으로 제기되어 왔다. 따라서 학교현장실습이 초등 예비교사들의 초등교사 전문성을 신장하고, 현장에서 교사로서의 효과적인 직무수행을 위한 실질적인 과정이 될 수 있도록 학교현장실습 제도를 개선할 필요성이 있다. 이에 Hargreaves & Fullan(2012)이 교사 전문성 신장의 원동력으로 제시하고 있는 전문적 자본의 관점으로 초등학교 초임교사들이 바라본 학교현장실습과 학교 현장의 초등교사 전문성과의 연 계성을 분석하고, 이러한 관점에서 초등교사 전문성을 신장시키기 위한 학교현장실습 제도 개선방안을 모색하는 데 본 연구의 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 교원양성기관인 K대학교의 학교현장실습 프로그램을 이수하고, 졸업한 초등학교 초임교사 6명을 연구 참여자로 선정하였으며, 심층 면담의 방법으로 진행하였다. K대학교 출신 초등학교 초임교사들의 학교현장실습 경험을 심층 면담으로 연구한 바, 인적 자본과 사회적 자본은 상당 부분 익힐 수 있는 기회가 주어졌으나, 상대적으로 의사결정적 자본은 경험할 수 있는 기회가 부족하였다. 이러한 학교현장실습 경험을 바탕으로 학교현장실습 제도 개선 방안 다섯 가지를 제시하였다.

        To improve the environmental management and resources, in this study, we aimed to investigate the effect of adding oyster shell powder to Hanwoo manure on its characteristics and microbial composition during the storage period. Additives were deposited on top of the manure surface at the rate of 0, 0.5, and 1% of oyster shell powder per 200 g of Hanwoo manure in a plastic container with three replicates; however, untreated manure litter served as the control. Manure characteristics (dry matter, organic matter and crude ash) and microbial composition (lactic acid bacteria, yeast, Bacillus subtilis, Salmonella, and E.coli) were evaluated at day 0, 2, 4, and 8. Manure characteristics exhibited an effect on dry matter, organic matter, and crude ash at day 2 and 8 (p<0.05), and not for day 0 and 4 (p>0.05). With the exception of yeast content at day 4 of storage, lactic acid bacteria, yeast, Bacillus subtilis, Salmonella, and E.coli exhibited no significant differences in all conditions during the storage period. Conclusively, addition of 1% oyster shell powder to Hanwoo manure resulted in slightly better manure characteristics; however, its microbial composition remained unchanged.

        The forest landscape has been considered to be one of the most beneficial factors, in regard to facilitating the therapeutic effects of the forest environment. The aim of this study was to review the preceding literary works on the correlation between forest landscape and its therapeutic effects and to ponder on key factors of forest landscape that promotes therapeutic results on people’s psychological and physiological responses. Literature found in domestic research databases was analyzed and examined in accordance with the ‘Preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses(PRISMA)’ process. Six papers out of 1,890 were selected as key literature to support the connection. The quality of forest landscape was found to be an integral environmental factor in determining the healing effects of forests. In particular, several factors, including forest types, aquatic elements within the forest landscape, forest-use density and aesthetic elements of forest landscape were found to be crucial for enhancing the therapeutic effects on people’s wellbeing. Despite the limited sample groups in the analyzed literature, the results offered a significant insight in supporting the healing effects of forests. Further studies on this subject are required to provide more scientific data for verifying the quality of the therapeutic effects of forests.

        The purpose of this study is to verify the physiological and psychological benefits of indoor garden to humans and to analyze the comparison according to Type A behavior pattern. The subjects included 18 male university students. Heart rate variation was used as a parameter of physiological assessment, and Semantic Differential (SD), Profile of Mood States-Brief (POMS), and State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) were used as tools for psychological evaluation. The participants were subjected to a psychological evaluation when they were present in a garden. As a result, the parasympathetic nervous activity was increased in the indoor garden. In the analysis of psychological evaluation, indoor garden improved the positive mood states and decreased negative feelings with significant changes only in Type A group. This study supported that indoor garden can have physiological and psychological relaxing effects, which could be more significant in Type A group than Type B.

        With the increasing role of environmental design in promoting urban safety, new design attempts have been made to improve pedestrian safety in crosswalks. This study proposes an evidence-based design solution for improving crosswalk function by conducting simulations and field experiments. Drivers with more than one-year driving experience participated in this study. Four different crosswalk design patterns were prepared: (1) a zebra pattern, (2) zebra pattern with colored triangles, (3) 3D pattern, and (4) art pattern with unique colors and design. The results supported that the zebra pattern with colored triangles could be the most effective solution for crosswalk design by increasing visibility, attention, deceleration, and landscape aesthetics. This study provided objective data to support the performance of various crosswalk patterns and suggested the need to reevaluate the present crosswalk design guidelines.

        Soymilk has been substituted for milk for people who are suffering from lactoseintolerance. In this study γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) producing lactic acid bacterium, Lactobacillus plantarum LP2, was applied to ferment soymilk for improving its functionality. GABA production was proved in MRS broth supplemented 3% monosodium glutamate (MSG) and soymilk including 10% (w/v) soymilk powder and 5%(w/v) fructooligosaccharide where L. plantarum LP2 was applied. In addition to the soymilk, isolated soy protein (ISP), which was enzyme-treated, was added to it for improving the content of free amino acids including glutamic acid. L. plantarum LP2 was well grown and produced GABA in the soymilk medium.

        Seoullo7017, an elevated linear park, was created to redevelop obsolete road infrastructure as public space, which provides unique landscapes. This study was aimed to evaluate and suggest proper planting design for improving psychological benefits in Seoullo7017. Field survey and simulation experiment were carried out to investigate the user’s perception on the landscapes. Many users had negative feelings of the present landscapes in Seoullo7017, due to concrete pavement and simple planting design using big concrete pots. Landscape simulation experiment showed this perception could change depending on planting design. In especial, herb species played an important role in improving the quality of landscape in a linear park and providing positive feelings such as refreshment, warmth and naturalness. This study suggested that planting design in a linear space needs to be focused rather on the planting style and species than the volume of greens.

        The aim of present study was to investigate the effect of three types of Chestnut Meals (CM) on chemical composition and rumen fermentation characteristics of the fermented diet. The inoculants consisted of Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bacillus subtilis, and Sacaromyces cerevisiae and were applied to three different types of CM; Whole Chestnut (WC), endodermis (EN), and kernel (KE). All types of CMs were ensiled at 39°C for 0, 1, 2, 4, or 6 days. After ensiling, the fermented CMs were sub-sampled for laboratory assays. On day six of fermentation, counts of the lactic acid-producing Bacillus subtilis, and yeast were higher (P<0.05) in WC than in the other CM types. On day four, KE had higher (P<0.05) crude protein content but lower (P<0.05) neutral detergent fiber and acid detergent fiber contents than the other treatments. In terms of rumen digestibility, KE had the highest (P<0.05) in vitro digestibility of dry matter (IVDMD), neutral detergent fiber digestibility (IVNDFD), total volatile fatty acid (VFA), propionate, butyrate concentrations, and total gas volume, as well as the lowest (P<0.05) acetate concentration. On the other hand, EN had the highest (P<0.05) pH and ammonia-N concentration in the rumen. In the rumen, even though WC application produced the highest microbial count and fermentation characteristics, it did not have a beneficial effect on rumen digestibility. Therefore, this study concluded that application of KE could be recommended due to the observed improvements in IVDMD and IVNDFD.

        Elevated linear parks have the potential to support the ecological stability, city amenity, cultural opportunity, and health benefits of urban dwellers; these are increasingly becoming an integral part of the urban infrastructure. Due to structural limitations in space, linear parks need to be planned to increase the value of green space. This study was aimed at advancing urban planning techniques for increasing the value of elevated linear parks, by comparing the Seoullo7017 with the Promenade plantée and the Highline. Planning characteristics of these green spaces were analyzed from the perspectives of physical planning factors, amenity values for users, and management systems. Field surveys and virtual tools were used to investigate the current characteristics of these parks, in addition to the literature survey. From the analysis of planning factors, amenity values, and management in the three linear parks, following important recommendations were made in order to promote the values of these parks: (a) diversify planting design for increasing the diversity of green space in a narrow area; (b) bring in various forms of amenities to promote the quality of users' experience; and (c) establish community-based management systems for enhancing regional competitiveness and profit sharing in urban regeneration projects.

        목적: 본 연구의 목적은 생활체육지도자의 매너리즘을 객관적으로 측정하기 위한 척도를 개발하고 타당화하는데 있다. 방법: 예비척도 개발의 과정을 통해 제작된 질문지를 구조적으로 타당한지 검증하기 위해 국내 생활체육지 도자를 모집단으로 설정한 후 서울・경기 및 일부 충남지역에서 2년 이상의 생활체육 관련 수업을 하고 있는지 도자를 1차와 2차 각각 450명씩 두 번에 걸쳐 총 900명을 선정하여 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 1차 표본을 통해 기술통계분석, 주성분 분석, 신뢰도 분석을 실시하였으며, 2차 표본을 통해 확인적 요인분석, 상관분석, 다중 회귀 분석을 실시하였다. 결과: 3요인 21문항의 생활체육지도자의 매너리즘 척도는 승인 가능한 수준에서 적합한 모형인 것으로 나타났고, 수렴타당도, 예측타당도 모두 제시된 기준치를 충족하였다.

        This study aimed to estimate the effect of inoculant application level on chemical composition and bacterial count of fermented chestnut meal (FCM), and its rumen fermentation characteristics. The inoculant contained Lactobacillus acidophilus (1.2 x 1010 cfu/g), Bacillus subtilis (2.1 x 1010 cfu/g), and Saccharomyces cerevisiae (2.3 x 1010 cfu/g). The chestnut meal mixed with molasses, double distilled water, and inoculant at 1 kg, 3 g, 480 mL, and 20 mL ratio for the basal chestnut meal diet. The double distilled water from basal chestnut meal diet was substituted with bacterial inoculant at a level of 0 (Control), 20 (Medium), and 40 mL (High) in the experimental diets. The mixed experimental diets were incubated at 39°C for 7, 14, and 21 days, respectively. On 7 days of FCM incubation, the contents of crude protein (CP) (quadratic, P=0.043) and neutral detergent fiber (quadratic, P=0.071) decreased by increases of inoculant application levels, whereas bacterial count (quadratic, P=0.065) and rumen NH3-N (linear, P=0.063) increased. By increases of inoculant application levels on 14 days of FCM incubation, the increases were found on dry matter (DM) (quadratic, P=0.085), CP (quadratic, P=0.059), acid detergent fiber (quadratic, P=0.056), in vitro DM digestibility (linear, P=0.002), rumen total volatile fatty acid (VFA) (linear, P=0.057), and rumen iso-butyrate (linear, P=0.054). However, the decreases were found on bacterial count (linear, P=0.002), propionate (linear, P=0.099), and butyrate (quadratic, P=0.082). On 21 days of FCM incubation, in vitro DM digestibility (linear, P=0.002) and total VFA (linear, P=0.001) increased by increases of inoculant application levels, whereas the contents of CP (quadratic, P=0.034) and neutral detergent fiber (quadratic, P=0.047) decreased. These results indicate that the FCM with a medium level of inoculant application and 14 of fermentation had beneficial effects by increasing DM digestibility and rumen total VFA content, without altering bacterial count.

        Vertical farming systems offer many advantages in urban spaces. They have also been proposed as an engineering solution to increase the productivity per unit area of cultivated land by extending crop production in the vertical dimension. However, soil water retention is a major constraint affecting the plant environment. This study analyzed the effects of growth environment of Tropaeolum majus and Fragaria spp., on the vertical farming system, by using four different types of cover material types including sphagnum moss (Control), a shading net (S.N.), multi-layered fabric (M.L.F.), and non-woven fabric (N.W.F.). The volumetric soil moisture contents and plant characteristics were investigated from May to September 2014. Plant materials were individually cultivated in hanging baskets measuring 30×17×17 cm, filled with a mixture of soil and perlite, and placed at 1.5m height. Each treatment was performed in quadruplicate and consisted of five plants, amounting to a total of 20 plants. The analysis indicated that different covers were associated with multiple functions and soil water retention improvements may have a positive impact on the vertical farming system. The difference in soil water retention increased in the following order: M.L.F. > Control > N.W.F. > S.N.. Furthermore, the differences in plant height and survival rate increased in the following order: M.L.F. > Control > N.W.F. > S.N. Therefore, M.L.F yielded satisfactory good response for the vertical farming system of cover materials. Our results clearly demonstrate that vertical spaces represent an attractive alternative to urban farming and suggest that further increases in yield may be achieved via different cover materials in vertical farming using hanging baskets.

        본 연구에서는 21세기 미래인재양성을 위해 대학교육이 다양한 교육방법을 도입하고 있는 상황에서 대학교수자의 성장과 변화에 대해 이해하고자 한다. 최근 들어 우리나라 의 대학교는 과거 어느 때보다 교육의 질을 개선하기 위해 구체적인 방안을 마련해야 하는 상황에 놓여 있다. 이에 따라 우리나라 대학교는 교육의 변화를 위해 다양한 노력 과 시도를 하고 있다. 그러나 교육의 변화는 교수자의 수업의 변화로부터 가능하다는 점 에서 대학교수자의 실천과 경험에 대한 탐구가 필요하다. 교육의 질은 곧 교사의 질이라 고 말하듯이 대학교육의 변화는 교수자의 경험에 대한 이해로부터 가능할 것이다. 이러 한 관점에서 연구자는 Flipped learning 방법으로 교과목을 개발하고 수업을 운영하는 교수자의 실천과 경험을 내러티브 탐구 방법으로 이해하려고 했다. 연구결과 연구 참여 자는 개인적 삶의 가치관에 기반하여 강의식 수업이 학생을 수업에서 소외시킨다고 보 고 한명의 학생도 소외되지 않는 수업을 지향하면서 Flipped learning 기반 수업을 운영 하고자 했다. 연구 참여자는 이러한 시각에서 수업 운영의 문제를 발견하고 고유한 해결 전략을 추구했다. 연구자는 이러한 연구 참여자의 수업 운영 경험을 이야기로 구성하여 독자가 자신의 수업을 성찰하고 다른 가능성을 인식할 수 있도록 했다.

        대표적인 저강도 초음파 자극 기술인 음파영동은 초음파의 물리적 진동과 온열 효과를 이용하여 약물을 인체 표피 내부로 전달시키는 기법이다. 음파영동법은 치료 약물 전달의 효율을 높일 수 있으며, 인슐린이나 지질 등 분자 크기가 비교적 큰 약물의 전달에도 효과적이라는 장점을 갖는다. 본 연구에서는 효율적인 음파영동 치료를 위하여 대면적 단일 진동소자와 치료 부위에 약물 이송 기능을 갖는 복합 구조 초음파 변 환기 어셈블리를 제안하였다. 또한, 치료 부위의 온도를 상승 및 유지시킬 수 있는 변환기 어셈블리 구조를 제안하고 유효성을 평가하였다. 본 연구에서 제안된 변환기 어셈블리는 지속적으로 정량의 약물을 제공하고, 가온을 통하여 약물 전달을 보조함으로써 초음파를 이용한 음파영동 시술의 효율을 향상시킬 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
