The domestic swine industry is currently facing a threat due to the recent increase in pork imports. This study aims to determine what factors influence consumers' intention to consume imported pork and suggest measures to support the domestic pork industry. To achieve this, we analyzed data from the Korea Rural Economic Institute's Food Consumption Behavior Survey using a binary logistic regression model. The results revealed that a higher intention to consume imported pork is linked to a higher intention to consume imported rice, purchasing meat online, frequent purchases of HMR, and procuring U.S. beef, especially among urban residents. On the other hand, a lower intention to consume imported pork is associated with a higher awareness of animal welfare certification, frequently dining out, and older age. Based on these findings, we propose the following response measures for the domestic swine industry: implementing educational programs, marketing, and advertising specifically targeting urban residents to improve their perception of domestic agricultural products; enhancing price competitiveness through distribution optimization; and developing policies to promote the use of domestic pork as an ingredient in processed foods.
This study examined the determinants of healthy food purchases before and after COVID-19 in Korea. Binomial and multinomial logistic regression models were applied to Korea Rural Economic Institute's Food Consumer Behavior Survey data from 2019 to 2021. The analysis revealed a significant decrease in the non-intake of healthy food in 2021 compared to 2019, suggesting the impact of COVID-19 on healthy food consumption. Consumption patterns also changed, with a decrease in direct purchases and an increase in gift-based purchases. Several variables showed significant effects on healthy food intake. Single-person households exhibited a higher probability of eating healthy food after COVID-19. The group perceiving themselves as healthy had a lower likelihood of consuming healthy food pre-COVID-19, but this changed after the pandemic. Online food purchases, eco-friendly food purchases, and nut consumption showed a gradual decrease in the probability of non-intake over time. Gender and age also influenced healthy food intake. The probability of eating healthy food increased in the older age group compared to the younger group, and the probability increased significantly after COVID-19. The probability of buying gifts was significantly higher in those in their 60s, indicating that the path to obtaining healthy food differed by age.
In this research, we examined the shifts in determinants influencing the frequency of eco-friendly food purchases pre- and post-COVID-19. Our analysis utilized filtered 2019-2021 Consumption Behavior Survey data from the Korea Rural Economic Institute Food, excluding any irrational responses. Given the nature of the dependent variable, a multinomial logistic regression model was employed with demographic factors, variables pertaining to food consumption behavior, and variables concerning food consumption awareness as predictors. Following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, an individual's level of education was observed to positively influence the frequency of eco-friendly food purchases. In contrast, income level and fluctuations in food consumption expenditure did not appear to have a discernible impact on the purchasing frequency of such eco-friendly products. Irrespective of the advent of COVID-19, variables such as the frequency of online food purchases, the utilization of early morning delivery services, dining out frequency, and the intake of health-functional foods consistently demonstrated a positive correlation with the propensity to purchase eco-friendly foods. Overall, consumers prioritizing safety, quality, and nutrition over price, taste, and convenience in their procurement decisions for rice, vegetables, meat, and processed foods exhibit an increased inclination toward the acquisition of eco-friendly food products.
This study investigated the rocking behavior of unreinforced masonry walls and wall piers under cyclic loading. Based on the benchmark tests, the characteristics of load-deformation relations in masonry walls with rocking failure were captured, focusing on observed deformation modes. The rocking strengths of masonry walls (i.e., peak and residual strengths) were evaluated, and the effects of opening configurations on the masonry wall strength were examined. The deformation capacity of the rocking behavior and the hysteresis shape of the load-deformation relations were also identified. Based on the results, modeling approaches for the rocking behavior of masonry walls were discussed.
Cassia tora seed was processed by germination and roasting to develop a germinated Cassia tora tea. The effects of extraction temperature on antioxidative compounds in tea extracts were examined and compared to four different commercial Cassia tora tea products. The contents of antioxidative compounds, such as phenolics, flavonoids, and β-carotene, increased as the extraction temperature increased (5 to 80oC), subsequently increasing in vitro antioxidant activities (DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities). Germinated Cassia tora tea had higher antioxidative activity than selected commercial Cassia tora teas, and the difference was significant at low extraction temperature. Therefore, the germinated Cassia tora tea could contribute to a new type of tea product with enhanced bioactive and antioxidative activities by adopting appropriate processing and extraction conditions.
The purpose of this study was to estimate the influence of the determinants for home meal replacement (HMR) purchase frequency before and after COVID-19. Multinomial logistic regression was applied to the 2018~2020 Consumer Behavior Survey for Food data from the Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI). Gender, age, number of households, monthly income, use of eating out, delivery and takeout order service, HMR food safety concern, the frequency of cooking at home, grocery shopping, and eating alone were applied as the explanatory variables to explain HMR purchase frequency. The results are as below. Compared to the previous year, the growth rate of HMR purchase frequency in 2020 was relatively high, indicating that the COVID-19 outbreak acted as a catalyst. Unlike in 2018 and 2019, there was no statistical difference in the HMR purchase frequency between single- and multi-person households in 2020, with indicating multi-person households began to emerge as one of the major HMR consumption groups. Unlike 2018, the 2020 HMR purchase frequency showed a statistically positive relationship with those of grocery shopping and eating alone. There was a positive relationship between the frequency of eating out/food delivery orders and HMR purchases. The more often cooking at home occurred, the less HMR food was purchased.
본 연구의 목적은 형광직물과 재귀반사 소재만으로 제작, 보급되고 있는 현 안전의복에, LED 부착으로 시인성을 높여 야간이나 기상악화 시 안전사고로부터 작업자나 보행자를 보호하고, 기울기 센서와 소리신호를 탑재하여 의식불명 자의 구명에 도움을 주는데 있다. 이를 위하여 공학적 하이테크를 적용하여 설계·제작한 산업용 서스펜더형 안전벨트 및 기울기 센서와 소리신호가 탑재된 안전조끼형 벨트를 개발하였다. 그 효과로 첫째, 서스펜더형 안전벨트는 필름에 접착된 자동 점멸 LED에 의해 빛을 방출하도록 설계하여 벨트 착용자의 신체는 LED와 재귀반사를 통해 멀리서 인식되 어 사고예방에 도움이 된다. 또한 야간에 실시하는 도로변이나 고지대에서의 작업, 구조대원 활동, 스포츠 활동 시 사고를 예방하거나, 비상상황이 발생할 경우 LED 발광을 변화시키는 신호로 사고 지점을 빨리 발견할 수 있어 인명구조 에 도움이 된다. 둘째, 착용자가 조난사고 등으로 인하여 의식불명으로 쓰러질 경우, 조난신호를 발생하는 첨단 디바이스를 개발하여 감지 및 신호 장치를 탑재한 결과 제어부의 기울기 센서가 인체의 각도를 자동 감지하였다. 동시에 조끼형의 벨트 형태로 제작함으로써 탈착이 용이하도록 하여 활용도를 높였다. 사고로 착용자가 쓰러지면 이 벨트의 기울기 센서가 각도를 감지하고 제어기가 고주파 음과 LED 점멸신호를 동시에 발생시킨다. 기존의 안전 조끼의 경우 주변 조명이 없을 때는 조끼를 착용한 사람을 감지하는 것이 거의 불가능 하였지만, 본 연구에서는 안전벨트의 음향과 빛 신호로 주변 조명이 없을 때에도 100 m 이내에서 착용자를 발견할 수 있었다. 그러므로 본 연구에서 LED 부착과 기울기 센서, 소리신호 소자를 부착한 스마트 안전의류의 개발은 사고발생 감소와 구명에 이바지할 수 있을 것이다.
Various underwater studies using underwater sonar sensors are actively in progress. However, unlike the ground, the underwater has a lot of noise. So it is difficult to accurately recognize the underwater environment. The final purpose of this study is to improve the efficiency of the underwater environment recognition using the underwater sonar sensor by developing a filtering algorithm that removes noise and expresses the object from the underwater sonar image captured by the underwater sonar sensor. To develop a filtering algorithm, convolutional calculations were used with three types of filters. This paper is about the case study that conducted to set the parameters of ‘Gabor Filter’ suitable for underwater sonar image during the design process of filtering algorithm. As a result, it was possible to find the most suitable ‘Gabor Filter’ parameters for underwater sonar images. And it showed high accuracy with a binary map of obstacles created by hand using the naked eye. Through this study, it can be utilized not only as a binary map of real-time obstacles, but also as an algorithm for generating object masks in underwater sonar images for deep learning.
This paper is to investigate the retrofitting effect for a non-seismic reinforced concrete frame strengthened by perimeter steel moment frames with indirect integrity, which ameliorates the problems of the direct integrity method. To achieve this, first, full-scale tests were conducted to address the structural behavior of a two-story non-seismic reinforced concrete frame and a strengthened frame. The non-seismic frame showed a maximum strength of 185 kN because the flexural-shear failure at the bottom end of columns on the first floor was governed, and shear cracks were concentrated at the beam-column joints on the second floor. The strengthened frame possessed a maximum strength of 338 kN, which is more than 1.8 times that of the non-seismic specimen. A considerable decrease in the quantity of cracks for the strengthened frame was observed compared with the non-seismic frame, while there was the obvious appearance of the failure pattern due to the shear crack. The lateral-resisting capacity for the non-seismic bare frame and the strengthened frame may be determined per the specified shear strength of the reinforced columns in accordance with the distance to a critical section. The effective depth of the column may be referred to as the longitudinal length from the border between the column and the foundation. 본 연구는 버섯 수출입의 무역역조가 심화되고 있는 상황에서 버섯 수출 확대를 위해 해결해야 할 당면과제들의 우선순위를 도출하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 본 연구는 버섯산업의 부문별 전문가들을 대상으로 집단심층면접조사 (FGI)를 실시하여 11개의 당면과제를 발굴한 다음 BWS(Best-Worst Scaling) 분석방법을 이용하여 당면과제들의 우선순위를 도출하였다. 분석결과 11개의 당면과제들 가운데 버섯의 품질 및 가격 경쟁력 강화(1순위)가 가장 중요하고도 시급한 과제로 제시 되었다. 그 다음으로는 해외 수출시장 다변화, 버섯의 국내 가격 안정이 각각 2순위와 3순위의 당면과제로 나타났다. 본 연구의 분석결과를 바탕으로 우선순위가 높게 나타난 당면과제들을 해결하기 위한 정책방향을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 버섯의 품질 및 가격 경쟁력 강화를 위해서는 다방면에 걸친 유기적인 노력이 필요하다. 생산기반 측면에서 배지원료의 안정적인 수급체계를 구축하고, 우수한 국산 종균의 개발 및 보급을 확대하는 한편 고품질 버섯 안전 생산을 위한 표준재배기술을 개발, 보급하여야 한다. 그리고 장거리 유통이 가능하도록 기능성 포장재를 개발 하고, 다양한 수확 후 저장기술(post harvest technology)의 개발을 통하여 품질 및 가격 경쟁력을 높여야 한다. 둘째, 버섯의 해외 수출시장 다변화를 위해서는 STP (segmentation, targeting and positioning) 전략에 맞춰 해외시장을 전략적으로 분할하는 한편 수출 수발주 통합관리 등을 위한 자율적인 통합마케팅조직을 구축하여 수출 창구를 일원화하여야 한다. 또한 해외 마케팅을 강화하고 소비촉진을 위한 다양한 홍보를 추진하여야 한다. 그 일환으로 해외시장 개척 박람회, 판촉행사, 해외마케팅, 바이어(buyer) 초청 등의 행사를 활발하게 추진하여야 한다. 셋째, 버섯의 국내가격 안정을 위해서는 전문유통센터를 건립하여 내수 안정화 및 수출기반을 조성하여야 한다. 버섯은 일반 도매시장을 통하여 유통할 경우 품질관리 및 유통물량 조절이 취약하다는 특성을 지닌다. 따라서 품목별 또는 지역(산지)별로 버섯 전문유통센터를 건립하여 유통효율성을 제고하는 한편 버섯가격 안정화를 도모하여야 한다.
This study is to investigate the effect of a retrofitted reinforced concrete frame with non-seismic details strengthened by embedded steel moment frames with an indirect joint, which mitigates the problems of the direct joint method. First, full-scale experiments were conducted to confirm the structural behavior of a 2-story reinforced concrete frame with non-seismic details and strengthened by a steel moment frame with an indirect joint. The reinforced concrete frame with non-seismic details showed a maximum strength of 185 kN at an overall drift ratio of 1.75%. The flexural-shear failure of columns was governed, and shear cracks were concentrated at the beam-column joints. The reinforced concrete frame strengthened by the embedded steel moment frames achieved a maximum strength of 701 kN at an overall drift ratio of 1.5% so that the maximum strength was about 3.8 times that of the specimen with non-seismic details. The failure pattern of the retrofitted specimen was the loss of bond strength between the concrete and the rebars of the columns caused by a prying action of the bottom indirect joint because of lateral force. Furthermore, methods are proposed for calculation of the specified strength of the reinforced concrete frame with non-seismic details and strengthened by the steel moment frame with the indirect joint.
본 연구는 버섯산업의 현황 및 개선과제에 대한 분석을 바탕으로 계층적 분석방법(AHP)을 적용하여 개선과제의 우선순위를 도출하였다. 버섯산업의 4개 부문 내 11개 개선과제를 선정하고, 버섯산업 관련 전문가 32명에 대한 설문조사를 통하여 실증분석을 진행하였다. AHP 분석결과 버섯산업의 부문별 우선순위는 수출·마 케팅부문이 1위, 가공부문이 2위, 유통부문이 3위, 그리고 생산부문이 4위의 순으로 나타났다. 세부적인 개선과제에서는 품질 및 가격 경쟁력 강화가 1위, 다양한 제품 개발에 대한 지원 확대가 2위, 그리고 버섯의 국내가격 안정이 3위의 순으로 우선순위가 나타났다. 한편 신선도 유지를 위한 포장재개선, 재배시설 현대화, 저장비·물류비 지원 확대 등은 우선순위가 상대적으로 낮게 나타났다. AHP분석에서 1순위로 나타난 ‘품질 및 가격 경쟁력 강화’를 위해서는 국내 연구기관의 연구개발(R&D)에 대한 지원 확대가 필요하다. 그리고 생산농가들도 버섯의 품질 향상을 위한 적극적인 교육 참여 및 안전성 확보를 위한 노력을 기울여야 할 것이다. 또한 소비자 선호 조사를 통해 기능성 버섯 품종 개발 등 다양한 품종의 개발 및 생산이 필요하다. AHP분석에서 2순위로 나타난 ‘다양한 제품 개발에 대한 지원 확대’를 위해서는 국내외 소비자의 특성에 맞는 제품 개발이 필요하다. 그리고 트렌드(trend)를 반영한 신상품 및 기존 제품에 대한 품질 개선의 노력이 필요하다. 또한 수출국별로 버섯의 레시피(recipe) 개발 등 가공산업의 부가가치를 높일 수 있도록 적극적인 정책 지원이 필요하다. AHP분석에서 3순위로 나타난 ‘국내가격 안정’을 위해서는 생산단계에서 버섯 출하를 조절할 수 있는 출하조절 기구를 만들어 시기별, 품목별 생산량을 조정하여 과잉생산으로 인한 가격 하락을 막아야 한다. 또한 버섯이 과잉 생산될 경우 국내 물량을 신속하게 해외로 수출함으로써 국내 가격에 영향이 없도록 출하와 수출 간의 긴밀한 협력도 필요하다. 버섯산업의 종합적인 발전을 위해서는 부문별로 나누어 어느 한 부문만의 중요성을 강조하기는 어렵다. 버섯의 생산, 가공, 유통, 수출·마케팅이 유기적으로 연결되어 있으므로 어느 한 부문의 집중적인 개선 및 지원도 필요하지만, 산업 전반을 거시적으로 파악하여 전반적으로 개선하는 노력도 병행되어야 할 것이다.
일본 에도시대 중기의 한학자이며 지도제작자인 나가쿠보 세키스이(長久保赤水)가 20년간의 고증을 거쳐 1779년에 완성한 개정일본여지노정전도는 메이지시대 초기인 1870년대까지 1세기에 걸쳐 중판을 거듭해 일본 지도사에 큰 족적을 남긴 지도로 평가된다. 본 연구는 일본에서의 개정일본여지노정전도의 지도사적 위치와 세키스이의 생애와 활동, 개정일본여지노정전도의 제작과정, 지도의 내용과 특징 등을 지도학적으로 분석하고, 지도의 연도별 판본과 표현 내용에 따라 울릉도와 독도의 영역을 고찰하는데 목적이 있다. 그 결과, 1840년에 발행된 개정일본여지노정전도 5판까지는 울릉도와 독도가 조선의 영역으로 표시하였음 이 규명되었다.
This paper is to investigate the micro-behavior of the double-span beams with WUF-W seismic connection under combined axial tension and moment and to propose the rational rotational capacity of it for progressive collapse-resistant analysis and design addressing the stress and strain transfer mechanism. To this end, the behavior of the double-span beams under the column missing event is first investigated using the advanced nonlinear finite element analysis. The characteristics of fracture indices of double-span beams with WUF-W connection under combined axial tension and flexural moment are addressed and then proposed the rational rotational capacity as the basic datum for the progressive collapse-resistant design and analysis. The distribution of fracture indices related to stress and strain for the double-span beams is investigated based on a material and geometric nonlinear finite element analysis. Furthermore, the micro-behavior for earthquake and progressive collapse is explicitly different.
This paper aims to analyze the economic feasibility and investigate the possibility of elastic seismic design of wind-designed highrise concentrically braced frames considering change of mechanical properties of Korean steel under the strong wind and the low seismicity in Korea. To this end, first, highrise concentrically braced frames were designed considering strong wind load. And then, analyses of the economics of them were performed. The seismic performance evaluation of wind-designed highrise buildings was conducted using the response spectrum analysis procedure. Analysis results show that it is possible to save up to approximately 90% of the amount of steel on the 10% increase in steel strength without serviceability. However, with serviceability, the design sectional area of the steel with relatively high strength tends to increment considerably because of the lateral stiffness due to reduction of the inertia moment and so on. This point might apply to limitation of the steel with high tensile yield strength.
A number of plating companies have been exposed to the risk of fire due to unexpected temperature increasing of water in a plating bath. Since the companies are not able to forecast the unexpected temperature increasing of water and most of raw materials in the plating process have low ignition temperature, it is easy to be exposed to the risk of fire. Thus, the companies have to notice the changes immediately to prevent the risk of fire from plating process. Due to this reason, an agile and systematic temperature monitoring system is required for the plating companies. Unfortunately, in case of small size companies, it is hard to purchase a systematic solution and be offered consulting from one of the risk management consulting companies due to an expensive cost. In addition, most of the companies have insufficient research and development (R&D) experts to autonomously develop the risk management solution. In this article, we developed a real time remote temperature monitoring system which is easy to operate with a lower cost. The system is constructed by using Raspberry Pi single board computer and Android application to release an economic issue for the small sized plating manufacturing companies. The derived system is able to monitor the temperature continuously with tracking the temperature in the batch in a short time and transmit a push-alarm to a target-device located in a remoted area when the temperature exceeds a certain hazardous-temperature level. Therefore, the target small plating company achieves a risk management system with a small cost.
지도는 인간의 시야를 초월한 범위의 지표 상태를 과학적 근거에 의해 제작한 것으로, 지도제작에 관한 기술은 측지학, 지리학, 측량공학, 인쇄공학 등을 배경으로 하는 지도학을 근거로 광범위한 과학기술의 분야와 밀접한 관계가 있다. 지도학이란 지도제작에 관한 과학ㆍ기술ㆍ예술ㆍ지도이용 등에 대한 학술분야를 총칭하는 것으로, 광의적으로는 측량ㆍ지도편집ㆍ지도제도ㆍ지도인쇄 등의 모든 공정을 대상으로 하고, 협의적으로는 지도편집 이하의 공정을 대상으로 한다. 본고는 근현대 한국을 중심으로한 지도제작 기술 가운데 제도기법의 변천에 대해 지도제작 현장에서의 경험을 바탕으로 한 연구 결과이다.
