        For the distribution of fresh produce, the thermoelectric cooling system combined with thermo electric materials (TEM) and phase change material (PCM) was studied. The PCM used this study was produced by in-situ polymerization technology which referred microencapsulation of hydrocarbon (n-tetradecane and n-hexadecane). In this study, quality characteristics of bell peppers in thermoelectric cooling system combined with TEM and PCM were analyzed and control was placed in an EPS (expanded polystyrene) box. As a result of quality characteristics analysis, weight of bell peppers decreased and moisture content of bell peppers was 90.96~94.43% during storage. Vitamin C content of bell pepper decreased during storage and reduction ratio of control was higher than that of BPT-5 treatment(bell pepper in thermoelectric cooling system with PCM which is kept the temperature at 5℃). The result of color value, on 21 day, ΔE value of BPT-5 treatment was 5.05 while that of control was 41.8. On 21 day, total bacteria count of BPT-5 treated bell pepper shown less than that of control. In conclusion, it suggested that the thermoelectric cooling system combined with PCM improved quality of fresh produce during transportation and storage.

        The efficacy of an experimentally designed cold chain container and a currently used styrofoam container was investigated with respect to important factors affecting the quality of fresh beef during storage under different conditions. The temperature in the TEPP-1 container was maintained at 5℃ using a phase change material (PCM) during transport and delivery. During storage in the TEPP-1 container, no significant difference was observed in pH of beef, but color decreased slightly, which does not affect the desire to purchase. After storage for 7 days, the rate of VBN and TBA in the TEPP-1 container, was lower than that in the TEPP-2 container. Drip loss was lower in the TEPP-1 container (0.87%) than in the TEPP-2 container (1.78%). No significant changes were observed in microbal count until 4 days in either of the containers, but after storage for 7 days, the count increased significantly. Microbial count in TEPP-1 was 6.65 log CFU/mL and that in TEPP-2 was 7.62 log CFU/mL. The results of sensory evaluations indicated that the overall acceptability of beef after storage for 7 days was better in the TEPP-1 container than in the TEPP-2 container. The EPS container was inferior in comparison with TEPP-1 and TEPP-2. It was impossible to continue the experiment using the EPS container after 3 days. These results suggest that the experimentally designed TEPP-1 container can be used for beef transport and delivery for 7 days without significantly affecting the quality of beef.

        최근 지구온난화로 인한 기후변화의 영향으로 우리나라를 비롯해 전세계적으로 홍수와 가뭄, 지진 등의 자연재해 발생빈도와 피해규모가 늘어나고 있는 실정이다. 이와 더불어 우리나라는 작년 세월호 사건으로 인해 여느때보다 안전에 대한 관심과 우려가 커져 국가 차원의 국민안전처가 신설되었다. 하지만 재난재해로 인한 피해의 집중은 대부분 시민들에게 피해가 집중되어 정부 주도의 하향식 방재정책만으로 운영이 어렵다. 이를 위해 정부는 안전을 위한 정책 수립시 시민사회의 역할을 적극 반영하여 시민들이 방재훈련이나 행동 시나리오 참여를 이끌어내어 자연재해를 비롯한 인적재해의 피해를 줄여야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기후변화와 재난재해 대응을 하기 위해 시민사회를 중심으로 한 이해관계자가 참여하여 정부와 학계, 기업 등과의 협력하고 정부정책이 올바른 방향으로 나아가기 위한 제언을 하고자 한다.

        This study was conducted to examine the effect of LED light quality and supplemental LED light on growth and flowering for potted flowering plant of Kalanchoe. 1. Plant height of Kalanchoe was enhanced under Red, regardless of treatment time. 2. Root length and stem diameter of Kalanchoe were enhanced by Red+Blue. 3. The number of internodes was not influenced by LED light quality. Length of flower stalk of Kalanchoe increased under Red+Blue, but treatment time did not result in statistically significant differences. 4. Leaf area was not influenced by LED light quality in Kalanchoe. 5. The number of flower buds and open flowers was decreased by LED light treatment, but days to flowering was reduced by Red+Blue for 4 hr after sunset in Kalanchoe. 6. Chlorophyll and anthocyanin content was not significantly affected by LED light treatment, but anthocyanin content tended to increase by Blue 4 hr after sunset. 7. Fresh and dry weight did not increased by LED light treatment in Kalanchoe.

        Tetragonia tetragonides is a medicinal plant native to ocean sand soil of southern provinces and has significant effects on the prevention and curing of gastroenteric disorders. Despite of its popularity, supply of the plant has never met the level of demand because of the absence of an adequate culturing method. The present study, thereby, was conducted for classifying the plants with geographically different characteristics, studying growth habits, developing a new culturing method and establishing a large scale propagation system of selected superior individual plants. The study was also aimed for revealing optimum conditions for seed treatment, fertilization, and efficient culturing system and thereby, for utilizing the plant as a new income source for rural communities. The seed was elongated with size of 2.6 mm (width) × 1.8 mm (length). No difference in seed size was observed depending on different inhabitate. Each flower produced about 4.5~4.8 seeds. Germination rate was high for seeds matured for 40 days after fertilization, but deceased to 50% for seeds matured only for 20 or 30 days. Seed dormancy lasted 6 months and seed storage at humid 5℃ facilitated germination. Mechanical obstruct of seed germination was due to seed coat and removal of seed coat enhanced the germination rate. Optimum temp. for seed storage was 5℃, and high germination rate was maintained for 350 days. However, for stratification condition or at room temperature, germination was significantly reduced as storage time increased Optimum treatment of plant growth regulators was soaking in GA3 250 mg/L for 1 hr. The priming treatment with 50 mM Ca(NO3)2 at 20℃ for two days improved the seed germination with 10% compared to non-treated control. The treatment of 20% NaOCl for 3 hr. improved the seed germination rate up to 10% and 1 day ahead.

        기후변화의 영향으로 최근 100년간(1911년∼2010년) 6대 도시 평균기온은 1.8℃ 상승하고 있고,이는 세계평균(0.6∼0.7℃)을 상회하며, 폭염을 포함한 다양한 형태로 심각한 영향을 미치고 있다. 이와 더불어 도시화·산업화로 인한 재난환경 변화로 홍수, 태풍 등 대형재난발생에 따른 대규모 피해가 우려됨에 따라 재난환경에 선제적으로 대응하기 위해 지역별 재난취약요소 및 수방시설물의 취약성 도출 및 재해저감대책을 마련할 필요성이 대두되었다. 본 연구에서는 기후변화 시대에 맞도록 「지역별 방재성능목표 설정·운영」제도 시행 및「방재기준 가이드라인」마련 등 방재기준을 재설정하였다. 새롭게 설정된 방재기준은 안전한 사회와 복원력있는 지역건설을 위해 재해위험지구 정비사업 조기 추진을 위한 예산투자 확대, 안전하고 친환경적인 소하천정비사업 추진 등에 활용될 수 있다.

        This study was conducted to investigate the seasonal variation characteristics of phytoncide in trail of Ulsan Metropolitan. Air samples were collected from May to December 2011. They were collected using Tenax Ta tube and phytoncides were detected and quantified using a Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer (GC/MSD). This study are summarized as follows; The seasonal concentrations of phytoncide are Munsu Mt. 272.3 ㎍/㎥, Samho Mt. 192.4 ㎍/㎥, Shinbul Mt. 50.9 ㎍/㎥, Sibli Bamboo forest 22.4 ㎍/㎥ and Joongbu Fire Station 24.4 ㎍/㎥. In Munsu Mt., Samho Mt. and Shinbul Mt. major component ratio is α-Pinene >β-Pinene+Myrcene >Limonene >Camphene >γ-Terpinene >α-Terpinene. Bamboo forest and Joongbu fire station major component ratio is α-Pinene >Limonene >β-Pinene+Myrcene >Camphene >α-Terpinene. The variation of seasonal concentration is summer >spring >fall >winter. The phytoncide concentration of coniferous forest(Munsu Mt., Samho Mt.) is higher than broadleaf forest(Shinbul Mt.).

        Quinclorac, bentazone, 2,4-D, bensulfuron-methyl, dymuron, capropamide, pencycuron 및 ethofenprox를 동시에 분석할 수 있는 전처리 방법과 0.1% 인산 및 아세토니트릴을 이동상으로하고 225 nm를 측정파장으로 사용한 RP-HPLC(reverse phase-high performance liquid chromatography)법을 개발하였다. 동 농약성분들의 검출 및 정량한계는 각각 0.12〜0.84 ppm 및 0.34〜1.20 ppm이었고, 회수율은 78〜96%이었다. 본 방법을 통하여 시료 전처리에서 분석까지 기존 13시간이 소요된 총 분석시간을 3시간 이내로 줄일 수 있었다.
