        The crystallization effects of boron (B) powder on the phase, full width at half maximum (FWHM) values, and critical properties were investigated for in-situ reacted MgB2 bulk superconductors. The semi-crystalline B powder was heat-treated at different temperatures of 1000, 1300 and 1500˚C for 5 hours in an Ar atmosphere. Then, using as-received and heat-treated B powders, the MgB2 samples were prepared at 600˚C for 40 hours in an Ar atmosphere. As the heat-treatment temperature of the B powder increased, both the particle size of the B powder and crystalline phase increased. In the case of MgB2 samples using B powders heat-treated at above 1300˚C, unreacted magnesium (Mg) and B remained due to the improved crystallinity of the B powder. As the heat-treatment temperature of B powder increased, the critical current density of MgB2 decreased continuously due to the reduction of grain boundary density and superconducting volume caused by unreacted Mg and B.

        Cr3+ 및 Se을 첨가하여 수경 재배한 치커리 3종의 에탄 올 추출물을 각각 제조하여 추출물별 항산화 활성을 비교 검토하였다. 그 결과 양액만으로 재배한 치커리보다 양액에 Se이나 Cr3+을 첨가한 치커리 추출물에서 총 폴리페놀 함량, 총 플라보노이드 함량 및 FRAP 환원능이 증가하였으며, DPPH 라디칼 소거능 및 ABTS 라디칼 소거능도 증가하였다. 특히 Se을 첨가한 치커리보다 Cr3+을 첨가한 치커리에서 더 우수한 항산화 활성을 나타내었다. 또한 Cr3+ 을 첨가한 CLER 및 CLE의 경우 α-glucosidase 저해활성이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 치커리 추출물의 수경재배 과정에서 양액에 Cr3+, Se의 첨가는 치커리의 항산화 활성 및 α-glucosidase 저해활성 증진에 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다.

        In this study, material characteristics of glass fiber composite were evaluated by experiment. Tensile, compression and in-plane shear test were performed as test method of ASTM. Velocity of Tensile and compression test was 2mm/min and in-plane shear test was 4mm/min. At the test result, elastic modulus of tensile and compressive were similar. Maximum compressive strength and maximum compressive strain were smaller than the maximum tensile strength and maximum tensile strain.

        PURPOSES: This study is to develop Right-Turning Channelization Design Models of Semitrailer at Intersections by regression of vehicle tracking simulation. METHODS: Based on the literature review, it was indicated that right-turning channelization design guide of semitrailer is too complex and is not reflected turning speed and approach angle. To verify effectiveness of right turning semitrailer trajectories according to the changing turning speed and approach angle, vehicle tracking simulation was executed. And then, simulation results were analyzed for modeling design elements; minimum turning radius, swept path width, arc length, width of triangle island, of right-turning channelization using regression methods. RESULTS : When the turning speed is getting higher, minimum turning radius, arc length, width of triangle island increased and the approach angle lower, swept path width, arc length, width of triangle island reduced. The turning radius completely reflected by turning speed. CONCLUSIONS : In this research, it was investigated how much design elements are changed according to the turning speed and the approach angle of semitrailer. The developed right-turning channelization design models can help engineers to easy and comfortable design at various conditions.

        This study was carried out to investigate the effect on the growth and antioxidant activities of Cichorium intybus L.(CLE), Cichorium intybus L. var. folisum ‘treviso’ (CLET), Cichorium intybus L. var. folisum ‘rosaitaliana’ (CLER) in hydroponics added with Cr3+ or Selenium (Se) for 4 weeks. Total polyphenol, total flavonoids contents and FRAP values of three species of chicory were grown hydroponically with Cr3+ or Se were increased. These extracts were also showed stronger DPPH and ABTS scavenging activity than chicory extracts. In particular, chicories added with Cr3+ had higher antioxidant activities than chicories added with Se. CLER and CLE extracts added with Cr3+ were also showed α-glucosidase inhibition activities. These results indicate that chicories were cultivated in culture fluid added with Cr3+ or Se could be used as high functional vegetables.

        한반도 동남 지역에서 고농도 오존이 발생한 사례에 대해 NOx에 대한 오존의 수반민감도를 살펴보았다. 사례일에 지배적이었던 국지 순환과 고농도 오존을 모의하기 위해 WRF-CMAQ 모델을 사용하였다. 수반민감도 분석을 위해 CMAQ의 수반 모델을 적용하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 고농도 오존에 주변지역이 미친 영향을 살펴본 수용지 중심의 민감도 분석이다. 또한, 행정 구역별 기여도를 정량적으로 산정하였는데, 대구를 수용지로 하는 민감도 분석 결과 영향지역은 대구에 인접하여 포항으로 이어지는 영역과 남동쪽으로 떨어진 넓은 지역으로 나타났다. 첫 번째 영역은 고농도 사례일 당일에 배출된 NOx의 민감도가 주로 나타났고 두 번째 영역은 전 날 배출에 의한 영향이었다. 반면, 부산을 수용지로 한 경우 사례일 당일 주간의 해풍의 영향으로 같은 날의 NOx 배출 효과 보다는 전 날 배출되었던 농도에 대한 민감도가 더 중요하였다. 민감도 영향지역에 대한 단면도 분석 결과 지표부근의 NOx 수송과 함께 상층에서 이류되는 영향도 중요하였다.

        GdBa2Cu3O7-y(Gd123) powders were synthesized by the solid-state reaction method using Gd2O3 (99.9% purity), BaCO3 (99.75%) and CuO (99.9%) powders. The synthesized Gd123 powder and the Gd123 powder with Gd2O3 addition (Gd1.5Ba2Cu3O7-y(Gd1.5)) were used as raw powders for the fabrication of Gd123 bulk superconductors. The Gd123 and Gd1.5 bulk superconductors were fabricated by sintering or a top-seeded melt growth (TSMG) process. The superconducting transition temperature (Tc,onset) of the sintered Gd123 was 93 K and the transition width was as large as 20 K. The Tc,onset of the TSMG processed Gd123 was 82 K and the transition width was also as large as 12 K. The critical current density (Jc) at 77 K and 0 T of the sintered Gd123 and TSMG processed Gd123 were as low as a few hundreds A/cm2. The addition of 0.25 mole Gd2O3 and 1 wt.% CeO2 to Gd123 enhanced the Tc, Jc and magnetic flux density (H) of the TSMG processed Gd123 sample owing to the formation of the superconducting phase with high flux pinning capability. The Tc of the TSMG processed Gd1.5 was 92 K and the transition width was 1 K. The Jcs at 77 K (0 T and 2 T) were 3.2×104 A/cm2 and 2.5×104 A/cm2, respectively. The H at 77 K of the TSMG-processed Gd1.5 was 1.96 kG, which is 54% of the applied magnetic field (3.45 kG).

        (Y123) powders for the fabrication of bulk superconductors were synthesized by the powder reaction method using (99.9% purity), (99.75%) and CuO (99.9%) powders. The raw powders were weighed to the cation ratio of Y:Ba:Cu=1:2:3, mixed and calcined at in air with intermediate repeated crushing steps. It was found that the formation of Y123 powder was more sensitive to reaction temperature than reaction time. The calcined Y123 powder and a mixture of (Y123 + 0.25 mole + 1 wt.% , (Y1.5)) were used as raw powders for the fabrication of poly-grain or single grain superconductors. The superconducting transition temperature () of the sintered Y123 sample was 91 K and the transition width was as large as 11 K, whereas the of the melt-grown Y1.5 sample was 90.5 K and the transition width was 3.5 K. The critical current density () at 77 K and 0 T of the sintered Y123 was 700 , whereas the of the top-seeded melt growth (TSMG) processed Y1.5 sample was . The magnetic flux density (H) at 77 K of the TSMG-processed Y123 and Y1.5 sample showed the 0.53 kG and 2.45 kG, respectively, which are 15% and 71% of the applied magnetic field of 3.5 kG. The high H value of the TSMG-processed Y1.5 sample is attributed to the formation of the larger superconducting grain with fine Y211 dispersion.

        This study is the research appling the representative Displacement-Based Design which is the basic concept of Direct Displacement Based Design proposed by Chopra and Goel to original Reinforced Concrete moment frame and determining the thickness of retrofit Steel Jacket about the Maximum design ground acceleration, and developing the more improved Algorithm as well as program by the Retrofit Design method and Nonlinear analysis by the Performance design method before and after reinforcement appling the determined retrofit thickness. It also shows the result of the seismic performance improvement which is the ratio of seismic performance appreciation result yield displacement 19%, yield strength ratio 24%, displace ductility ratio the maximum 27% comparing Multi degree of freedom, column member of Reinforced Concrete with the performance improvement column member considering the thickness of the determined Steel Jacket. The developed Algorithm and program are easy to apply seismic design and application to the original Reinforced Concrete building, at the same time, it applicate to display well the design result of Target displacement performance level about nonlinear behavior.

        This research was carried out to find herbal preservatives for Makgeolli, as Makgeolli loses its commercial value due to overproduced acidic materials. When Makgeolli was kept at 25℃ to find the changes in acidity, total microbial cell number, yeast cell number, and bacterial species variety, a sudden increase of acidity as well as the disappearance of yeast cells occurred at day 6, and Makgeolli was changed to complete off-flavor. Acetobacter pasteurianus is the main acidifier in Makgeolli and shows a synergy effect in acid formation when cultured in combination with Lactobacillus casei. Among 12 herbs, the ethanol extract of Sutellaria baicalensis showed antimicrobial activity against A. pasteurianus, whereas the ethanol extract of Coptidis rhizoma showed antimicrobial activity against L. casei. Makgeolli added with Sutellaria baicalensis extracts demonstrated a lower acidity than that with Coptidis rhizoma extracts, which indicates that the inhibition of an acetic acid former is more important than that of a lactic acid former in Makgeolli preservation. Sutellaria baicalensis extracts prolonged the shelf life of Makgeolli by 1~2 weeks at a minimal inhibitory concentration (0.63 ㎎/㎖) during storage at 10℃.

        This research was carried out in order to discover acid-forming bacteria during fermentation of Makgeolli, as Makgeolli loses its commercial value due to overproduced acidic materials. In Makgeolli kept at 25℃, a sudden increase of acidity as well as the disappearance of yeast cells occurred at day 6, whereas the total cell count and bacterial type remained unchanged; the result implies that a succession of bacterial types, including acid forming bacteria, occurred. Two acidforming bacteria were isolated from acidified Makgeolli and were identified as Acetobacter pasteurianus and Lactobacillus casei. When fresh and heat-treated Makgeolli were inoculated with Acetobacter pasteurianus and/or Lactobacillus casei, the greatest amount of acid was formed in Makgeolli inoculated with Acetobacter pasteurianus and Lactobacillus casei and also in Makgeolli with Acetobacter pasteurianus alone. This result indicates that Acetobacter pasteurianus is the main acidifier; furthermore, it shows the synergy effect in acid formation with Lactobacillus casei.

        Large single grain Gd1.5Ba2Cu3O7-y (Gd1.5) bulk superconductors were fabricated by a top-seeded melt growth (TSMG) process using an NdBa2Cu3O7-y seed. The seeded Gd1.5 powder compacts with a diameter of 50 mm were subjected to the heating cycles of a TSMG process. After the TSMG process, the diameter of the single grain Gd1.5 compact was reduced to 43 mm owing to the volume contraction during the heat treatment. The superconducting transition temperature (Tc) of the top surface of the single grain Gd1.5 sample was as high as 93.5 K. The critical current densities (Jcs) at 77 K and 1T and 1.5 T were in ranges of 25,200-43,900 A/cm2 and 10,000-23,000 A/cm2, respectively. The maximum attractive force at 77 K of the sample field-cooled using an Nd-B-Fe permanent magnet (surface magnetic field of 0. 527 T) was 108.3 N; the maximum repulsive force of the zero field-cooled sample was 262 N. The magnetic flux density of the sample field-cooled at 77 K was 0.311T, which is approximately 85% of the applied magnetic field of 0.375 T. Microstructure investigation showed that many Gd2BaCuO5 (Gd211) particles of a few μm in size, which are flux pinning sites of Gd123, were trapped within the GdBa2Cu3O7-y (Gd123) grain; unreacted Ba3Cu5O8 liquid and Gd211 particles were present near the edge regions of the single grain Gd1.5 bulk compact.

        In this study, we investigated the applicability of the photostimulated luminescence(PSL), thermoluminescence( TL) and electron spin resonance(ESR) methods for various foods which are not allowed to be irradiated in Korea. All 15 foods including sesame, almond, peanut, cocoa powder etc. were analyzed. Samples were irradiated at 1~10 kGy using a 60Co gamma-ray irradiator. In PSL study, the photon counts of all the unirradiated samples showed negative(lower than 700). The photon counts irradiated(1 kGy) dried shrimp, roasted peanut and seasoned peanut showed positive(higher than 5,000) and the other samples were negative or intermediate(> 700 and < 5,000). In TL analysis, results showed that it is possible to apply TL method to all foods containing minerals. In ESR measurements, the ESR signal(single-line) intensity of irradiated foods was higher than non-irradiated foods. In particular, the specific ESR signals of irradiation-induced crystalline sugar, cellulose and bone radical were detected in dried plum, raisin, dried cherry, mango(dried, frozen), rambutan, cocoa(powder), cinnamon, parsley, carrot, broccoli, dried arrow squid, dried pollack and dried shrimp. According to the results, PSL, TL and ESR methods were successfully applied to detect the irradiated foods because TL method is not able to detect the irradiated foods rarely composed of minerals. ESR is also a difficult method to detect the changes of ESR signal patterns of food. It is concluded that TL analysis or ESR assay is suitable for detection of irradiated samples and a combined method is recommendable for enhancing the reliability of detection results.

        본 연구에서는 변위기반 성능설계 개념에 의해 기존 철근콘크리트 기둥과 콘크리트에 강재를 매입한 SRC 합성기둥에 대하여 최대 설계지진 가속도에 대한 내진성능개선의 성능설계을 비교하였다. SRC 합성기둥은 구조물의 강도를 증가시킬 뿐 아니라 연성도를 증가시키는 효과가 있다. SRC 합성기둥의 단면은 H형 강재와 원형의 중공 강관을 매입한 형태로 구성되어 있다. SRC 합성기둥에 대한 P-M상관도와 단면 공칭휨모멘트를 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 SRC 합성기둥에 대한 설계 변위 추정을 위해 변위기반 내진 설계 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 성능기반설계에 의한 성능개선설계를 위하여 목표성능변위 및 설계지진가속도 조건에 대해 직접변위 기반 설계방법 및 변위계수법에 의한 내진성능개선 설계 방법을 제시하였다. SRC 합성기둥은 기존 RC 기둥과 비교하여 성능개선 설계 결과 변위 연성비 및 변위성능에서 크게 개선된 성능설계 결과를 나타내었다.
