        The object of this study was to investigate for improving of the homogeneous stress distribution according to sliding cage geometry. In order to achieve this, the sliding cage were modelled as type A, type B and type C, then the sliding cage were applied at A-IMS assembly. The numerical simulation was performed by SOLIDWORKS SIMULATION commercial code and the torque range was applied from 10N·m to 40N·m at A-IMS assembly. The results of simulation were compared in terms of Von-mises stress, principal stress and displacement characteristics. Each stress of type B were the highest value. In other hand, Von-mises stress of type A and type C were less than yield stress.

        본 연구는 현재 국내에서 이용되고 있는 차량소독시스템을 개선하기 위해 차량소독용 침수조 및 터널 에 대한 설계기준을 마련하고자 실시되었다. 이를 위해 본 연구팀이 고안한 차량소독용 침수조 및 터널 시제품에 대한 평가를 실시했으며, 침수조에 대한 평가항목은 침수조에 의한 차량 바퀴 오염물 제거 효 과, 침수조 턱 높이의 적정성, immersion heater의 사용가능 여부였으며, 터널에 대한 평가항목은 터 널의 방풍효과, 열풍기의 사용가능 여부였다. 실험 결과, 침수조에 의한 차량 바퀴의 오염물 제거 효과 와 터널에 의한 방풍효과는 매우 우수하게 나타났다. 그러나 침수조 내 immersion heater에 의한 소독 약액의 가온이 충분히 이루어지지 않았으며, 여러 가지 안전사고의 위험이 있었기 때문에 immersion heater 대신 보일러를 이용하는 것이 바람직 할 것으로 판단된다. 또한 터널 내 열풍기에 의한 기온 및 차량 표면온도의 상승효과가 거의 없는 것으로 나타났기 때문에 열풍기는 이용하지 않는 것이 바람직할 것으로 판단된다. 더불어 소형 승용차가 침수조를 원활히 통행하기 위해서는 침수조 턱의 높이를 50mm 정도로 낮추어 설계하는 것이 바람직할 것으로 판단된다.

        Recently, remote sensing technology as a nondestructive method has been utilized to detectthe quantity and quality of crops using unmanned aerial system. To predict vegetation growth(leaf dry mass and nitrogen content) of soybean, two vegetation index(NDVI and Green NDVI)were calculated from images acquired by multi-spectral camera mounted on a UAV and eachprediction models between vegetation growth and index were evaluated. As a result, there wasno significant difference between vegetation growth and index when each vegetation stage foreach yellow and black bean were compared to each other. However, there was significantdifference between vegetation growth and index when all vegetation stage for each yellow andblack bean were compared to each other. Moreover, there was significant difference betweenvegetation growth and NDVI(r= 0.799 for leaf dry mass, r= 0.796 for nitrogen content), andGreen NDVI(r= 0.860 for leaf dry mass, r= 0.845 for nitrogen content) for all vegetation stageswith all soybeans. The accuracy and precision of Green NDVI model(R2= 0.740 for leaf drymass, R2= 0.714 for nitrogen content) were better than those of NDVI model regardless ofvarieties and vegetation growth. Therefore, Green NDVI has considerable potential to detect thequantity and quality of soybeans.

        This study was performed for the optimizations of A-IMS assembly by analyzing the stress distributions under the different torque conditions. In order to achieve this, the numerical simulation was performed by SOLIDWORKS commercial code and the torque range that applied on the A-IMS assembly was increased from 10 N·m to 40 N·m. The simulation results were analyzed and compared in terms of Von-mises stress, principal stress, and displacement characteristics. The maximum stress distributions was observed on the contact surface of needle bearing which is located between tubular and solid shaft. It was found that the fracture of A-IMS assembly won’t occur until 30 N·m of torque. Therefore, it was concluded that there is no problem for the manufacturing of A-IMS assembly.

        When the driver sits on the seat, the cushion supports more than 70% of body weight. Based on this the driver feels discomfort due to the pain and numbness caused by body pressure concentration in the ischial tuberosity. So, the purpose of this study is to analyze the stiffness of the seat cushion according to sitting strategy and to obtain basic data that can be reflected in the design of the seat cushion pad. First, the static stiffness characteristics of the seat cushion pad were determined through a static load test. Next, we measured the body pressure distribution of 20 subjects. Based on this, we derived 7 types of average body pressure distribution. And as the hardness distribution of the seat cushion, it was judged that it would be less hard feeling at the pressure concentration region. Finally, we compared the deflection and stiffness of the seat cushion using the average body pressure distribution and the static stiffness data of the seat cushion.

        For driver convenience, different types of transmission are being developed, such as AT(Automatic Transmission), AMT(Automated Manual Transmission), CVT(Continuously Variable Transmission) and DCT(Dual Clutch Transmission). To improve ride comfort and durability of the transmission, control system is important during launching and shifting process. For accurate control, vehicle mass and road gradient should be known. In this study, heavy duty vehicle’s mass and road gradient estimation method is developed. The method uses only signals from CAN(Controller Area Network) without applying extra sensors. Vehicle mass and gradient is estimated by LMS(Least Mean Square) method based on longitudinal vehicle dynamic model. To verify the estimation logic, test was conducted using a chassis dynamometer. The estimation results after test and test condition is compared. The error rate of vehicle mass estimation was 5 percent and gradient estimation result had 2 percent error.

        본 연구는 축산관련차량에 적재물질을 상하차 할 때 발생하는 적재하중을 측정 할 수 있는 로드셀을 개발하고, 개발 로드셀의 성능을 평가한 것이다. 축산관련차량의 차체 하단에 평행 판스프링은 하중이 적재함에 따라 변위가 발생하며, 발생 변위를 개발 로드셀로 측정하여 하중 데이터를 수신하였다. 실험을 위해 실제 차량의 평행 판스프링을 이용하여 실험용 지그를 설계하였고, 실제하중은 프레스(press)를 통해 조성하였다. 실험은 하중이 선형적으로 측정되는지 확인하기 위한 직진성 테스트와 평행 판스프링의 복원력을 확인하기 위해 하중의 증·감소를 통한 히스테리시스 테스트를 진행하였다. 실험결과는 실제하중과 로드셀을 통해 측정한 하중은 비교적 차이를 나타냈지만, 일부 보정을 통해 정확도를 향상 시킬 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 히스테리시스 테스트의 경우 하중이 감소할 때 평행 판스프링의 탄성으로 인한 오차 발생은 추가적인 센싱을 통해 수정이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

        The paper presented the driving mechanism structure of unmanned ground vehicle. The most fundamental feature of mobile platform has the transformable crawler. The crawler system transforms the shape of the track based on a driving mechanism. By adopting a double shaft structure to simply the crawler system was UGV platform. A automatic transmission is built to increase driving torque of unmanned ground vehicle. Available driving modes include a speed mode to drive at top speed on flat surfaces and a torque mode to handle uneven terrain, obstacles and stairs. The double shaft Also UGV platform was tested on uneven surfaces including muddy, sandy, and gravelly terrain. The UGV platform has shown good results in the driving test.

        The limitations and problems of the rechargeable battery and short mileage per one electric charging have not been overcome at the electric vehicles. To solve these problems, the hybrid vehicle has been developed by securing the performance of automotive with the conventional internal combustion engine and the environmental benefit. Meanwhile, the electric UTV (utility terrain vehicle) which has this environmental benefit has been widely used for factories, parks, leisure and agricultural areas. In this study, the electric UTV was fabricated and attached the auxiliary power drive systems including the photovoltaic power generation system into this electric vehicle in order to make up the hybrid (motor + photovoltaic) vehicle system. As the range of the hybrid UTV would be extended over 20% than that of the existing golf cart per one electric charging through this successful development, the dynamic stiffness was improved through light-weight body design.

        The objective of this work is to investigate the A-IMS structural defects on the tubular shaft and solid shaft by analyzing the under-fill, metal flow, effective stress and load characteristics. The tubular shaft and solid shaft were designed 6 stage process by upper and lower die. The results were analysed by using a finite elements analysis method. The coefficient of frictions were set Oil_Cold conditions as referred to the analysis library. It was found that the actual under-fill phenomenon was not observed in both tubular and solid shaft. The load values of tubular and solid shaft were 520ton and 255ton, respectively. These values were under the limit of forging machine maximum value.

        The current disinfection method of vehicles being applied in South Korea has various shortcomings. So, the epidemic has generated continuously at livestock farms. It is very important to develop an effective disinfection system for reduction of the epidemic. And various basic data is required for this development. Therefore, this study was performed to identify the nozzle type and proper discharge pressure of sprayers. The experiment was conducted from January 10, 2012 until February 28, 2012. All the performance measurement experiments were repeated five times. The subjects of experiment were the A, B and C company’s products. The sprayed capacity, angle of spray and the covering area ratio were measured for each product. As a result, the sprayed capacity, angle of spray and the covering area ratio were increased as the discharge pressure of the sprayer was increased. In conclusion, the conical shaped of the nozzle is considered more appropriate than V-shaped, and the proper discharge pressure is expected to be at least 20kg/cm2.

        This study analyzed by measuring the voltage waveform of the injector intended for operating CRDI diesel vehicle. The cases of the EGR trouble and a EGR normal is considered. 1) The voltage waveform in the case of the normal and trouble, the difference between the maximum voltage was not large, decrease in the number of voltage gated pulses with the increase in engine speed, sustained current remained for this period. 2) The voltage waveform, comparing the case of the normal case and trouble, the size of the maximum voltage, no large change in gate pulse voltage is to be generated than in the case of a defective irregular longer opening time of the injector factor it was possible to know the bad influence on the fuel efficiency.

        A key element of environmentally friendly electric vehicles (EVs) based on polymer electrolyte fuel cells (PEFCs) and lithium ion batteries (LIBs) is an ion-selective membrane, which can transport specific ions such as proton and lithium ions, and provide mechanical and chemical resistances. The state-of-the art membranes for PEFCs and LIBs are perfluorinated sulfonic acid ionomer reinforced membranes and ceramic-coated polyolefin separators, respectively. In spite of the improvement of membranes characteristics, additional membrane modifications are still needed to improve electrochemical cell performances and to extend their lifetime. In this presentation, several plausible approaches to improve membrane characteristics are introduced.

        범세계적인 온실가스저감 노력이 활발하게 움직이고 있다. 이러한 현상은 수송분야에서 친환경자동차 보급이라는 전략으로 이루어지고 있다. 친환경자동차 중 수소연료전지차는 수소라는 신에너지를 활용하는 자동차로 친환경차 중 유일하게 전기를 생산히야 모터를 구동하는 자동차이다. 수소연료전지차는 수소와 공기를 사용하기 때문에 청정하다는 이로운 점도 있지만 아직은 해결해야할 다양한 문제점을 가지고 있다. 수소연료전지차에서 전기를 생산하는 스택 내 부품 중 전해질 막은 수소이온을 전달하고 생성된 물을 활용하는데 매우 중요한 역할을 하고 있으나 불순물, 온도변화, 부하운전, 가습조건 등 다양한 자동차 환경에서 열화가 발생한다. 전해질 막 연구에 있어 자동차 운전환경에서 나타나는 열화 현상과 발생 가능성 및 해결방안에 대한 고찰을 하였다.

        The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of closed and open type on the load characteristics and amount of waste in tubular shaft and solid shaft for optimal design. The open and closed type were designed by 6 stage processes and applied for analysis. The coefficient of friction was set to Oil_Cold conditions as refer to the analysis library. It is found that the actual underfill phenomenon was not observed on the closed and open type. The metal flow of the closed and open type are revealed that the folding phenomenon was not occurred, thus there is no problem in actual production. The load characteristics are similar from stage 1 to stage 3 due to the same geometry of upper and lower die. However, tubular shaft and solid shaft are decreased 26% and 32% load from stage 4 to stage 6. In case of open type, amount of waste of tubular shaft and solid shaft are 11g and 14g, respectively.

        The mobility of the tactical vehicle is important for a mission completion and survivability. During the field operation of the MLRS(Multiple Launcher Rocket System), broken bolt was found in a final reduction gear with oil leakage. It was confirmed that the final reduction gear pad bolt was broken with ductile fracture after inspecting and scanning electronic microscope of the bolt. Furthermore, a finite element analysis on the bolt was conducted with regards to the operating conditions in the final reduction gear. Conducting the analysis, there was a possibility of the bolt being damaged when we put rusty spline and the adhesion of hub thrust pad as input parameters. Finally, improvements on the spline in the shaft are expected in the future by utilizing the result of this study.

        Because of environmental pollution and lack of resources, necessity of energy efficiency improvement and reduction of exhaust gas emission and CO2 have grown in importance. Therefore a lot of studies are conducted for HEV(hybrid electric vehicle) and PHEV(plug-in hybrid electric vehicle). In addition, automobile companies are researching and manufacturing HEV and PHEV. Due to cost and time problem, simulation is preferred than experimental test to find better component size for efficiency improvement. In this research, backward simulation program is developed base on Dynamic Programming. Using this simulation program, fuel economy sensitivities for each parameter are analyzed and compared. Fuel economy is measured for a combined cycle that is calculated from FTP-75 and HWFET cycle. The target parameters are front/rear power train efficiency, drag coefficient, vehicle mass, rolling resistance coefficient, tire radius, center of gravity. The most sensitive parameter is front power train efficiency and second is drag coefficient. Rear power train efficiency, vehicle mass, rolling resistance coefficient are third, forth and fifth. By comparing sensitivities, we can choose a better way to improve fuel economy of HEV.

        PURPOSES: This study was initiated to estimate expressway traffic congestion costs by using Vehicle Detection System (VDS) data. METHODS : The overall methodology for estimating expressway traffic congestion costs is based on the methodology used in a study conducted by a study team from the Korea Transport Institute (KOTI). However, this study uses VDS data, including conzone speeds and volumes, instead of the volume delay function for estimating travel times. RESULTS : The expressway traffic congestion costs estimated in this study are generally lower than those observed in KOTI's method. The expressway lines that ranked highest for traffic congestion costs are the Seoul Ring Expressway, Gyeongbu Expressway, and the Youngdong Expressway. Those lines account for 64.54% of the entire expressway traffic congestion costs. In addition, this study estimates the daily traffic congestion costs. The traffic congestion cost on Saturdays is the highest. CONCLUSIONS : This study can be thought of as a new trial to estimate expressway traffic congestion costs by using actual traffic data collected from an entire expressway system in order to overcome the limitations of associated studies. In the future, the methodology for estimating traffic congestion cost is expected to be improved by utilizing associated big-data gathered from other ITS facilities and car navigation systems.

        UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), the pilotless plane or drone, draws researchers’ attention at these days for its extended use to various area. The research was initiated for military use of the UAV, but the area of applicable field is extended to surveillance, communication, and even delivery for commercial use. As increasing the interest in UAV, the needs of research for operating the flying object which is not directly visible when it conducts a certain mission to remote place is obviously grown as much as developing high performance pilotless plane is required. One of the project supported by government is related to the use of UAV for logistics fields and controlling UAV to deliver the certain items to isolated or not-easy-to-access place is one of the important issues. At the initial stage of the project, the previous researches for controlling UAV need to be organized to understand current state of art in local researches. Thus, this study is one of the steps to develop the unmanned system for using in military or commercial. Specifically, we focused on reviewing the approaches of controlling UAV from origination to destination in previous in-country researches because the delivery involves the routing planning and the efficient and effective routing plan is critical to success to delivery mission using UAV. This routing plan includes the method to avoid the obstacles and reach the final destination without a crash. This research also present the classification and categorization of the papers and it could guide the researchers, who conduct researches and explore in comparable fields, to catch the current address of the research.
